If Tony Stark was real in our reality

all the villains he " "created" " would be, like:

- oil tycoon pissed that Stark has made renewable energy free for the whole state of NY and has plans to expand the tech to other states, countries, the world

- CEO of a predatory student loan company enraged by Stark making college widely affordable through an endless supply of scholarships

- corrupt politician whose career is over after his dirty laundry gets aired - in a leak that can't be traced to Stark Industries.. but also can't not be traced to it

it’s actually not difficult to say “thank you for calling me on that! I’ll keep that in mind going forward” when you say or do something unintentionally bigoted and ppl will almost always appreciate that you’re listening and trying to change your bad behavior instead of being a dick and doubling down. i think being able to do this when the person criticizing you is doing so in good faith is indicative of maturity.

#urge to write mcu x 2004 draft script cinematic universe fic #where they both meet eachother and both start discussing the specifics of their parent’s death #and mcu tony is like. yeah they were assassinated when i was 21 #but i thought it was a car crash because my dad was drunk until a couple years ago #when i also saw video footage of it and learned that someone i considered a friend #had not told me that it was an assassination because his friend was the assassin #unwillingly! but still #and then draft script tony is like. ah. marginally less fucked up than my parents then.#and mcu is just. what do you mean less.#draft script: oh my mom died in a boating accident when i was 15 and driving the boat #and my dad never stopped blaming me for her death. and i also blame myself.#mcu: oh yeah that is fucked up. is.. howard still alive then?#draft: up until last year. when he tried to fund and support an invasion of america #in order to drum up more buisness for his company (which i eas not a part of)#including assassinating the president and also trying to kill me multiple times #so. i killed him to stop that after he killed one of my closest friends.#mcu: … what the fuck #anyways i’m still always thinking about potential im2/future stuff after that script #the possibilities…. so juicy #i’m also so obsessed with a tony who FROM THE START is a good dude who isn’t involved in weapons at all #it’s So. draft script tony my beloved.

At this point the injury in my right wrist has lasted long enough that I'm starting to get like. seriously super fucking broke. because I can't hold a tablet pen and so cant do commissions. im trying to think of things other than 2d or 3d digital art that i can do that is, like, halfway marketable, but i just dont really know that i can see anyone buying any of the other stuff i make - at least not for prices that would be worth it

Watched a video on Black Panther 2018 and so now I am back in the wormhole of thinking about Nakia as a foil to Kilmonger

#both are trained as spies. both get firsthand looks at the margins of the world #but from her experiences nakia gains empathy and that is her weapon #the second kilmonger starts his coup nakia is a step ahead of him #she saves the heart shaped herb as he tries to destroy it #she ids the best political figure in wakanda to ally with #the second after tchalla dies she is rushing the family to safety #kilmonger ascends to power based on his knowledge of imperialistic tactics for undermining govs #nakia has worked in the aftermath of those tactics. she's embedded w the women and children who suffer #nakia understands kilmongers world better than he does. she understands him better than he does #bc she's the kind of person who chooses to work on the ground instead of becoming queen #& she doesn't just use that compassion & understanding to help. she uses it to topple kilmonger.#her empathy is her weapon like kilmonger's pain and anger is his and nakia conquers with her empathy #her arc is just. real good man.

I'm so tired of encountering antis in this godforsaken fandom. Even for people who aren't antis, their presence is horrifically normalized and tolerated. These people are radfems, queerphobes and racists who pose as socially aware conscientious moral purists; their ideology literally stemmed from exclusionists and racist white gays. I'm losing patience with people who tolerate them as well. You can't stay neutral in the face of poisoned wells; it makes you part of the problem.
