next, he's paying a personal visit to whoever hurt you

I like your jaime opinions but you have such bnf takes on jb and marriage that kind of baffles me

bnf takes 😭😭? cmon man. im just not that interested in that. like i am just not crazy about the marriage/children endgame aspect, simply out of preference. do not care for that kind of clean happy ending for any of my faves, i think it would emotionally resonate with me less. i also internalized what george had said about what romances he likes to write and read and the “we’ll always have paris” example he used. i do like some kind of tragedy or bittersweetness in romantic stories too. and the love was and would still always be there and all that. i do want some kind of departure, some key choice and sacrifice perhaps. i see the possibility of jaime dying too, which could achieve the same, but not executed the way it was in the show. i do not at all deny the possibility of interpreting the set up for what u guys r saying either, i think you can find foreshadowing for it (certainly has more of a basis than a majority of what ppl skew as marriage foreshadowing for other ships), i just dont feel crazy about it as a “happily ever after” scenario, dont think it would fit:

like i see this. i even thought that stage direction (if it was that and not a directorial choice that was not in the script) in the lion and the rose could be alluding to a union. the one where loras and jaime discuss the cersei-loras marriage and the dialogue ends with “you will never marry [cersei]” “neither will you” and then brienne enters the frame while the camera is on jaime. followed up by the cersei brienne convo. grrm wrote it after all. this is the technique he kept using with olenna regarding joffrey’s murder as well.

i am just fine with if all this just indicates future romance between them, and is being used to emphasize their desire for each other that they both repress in different ways (oathkeeper itself can be read as an engagement metaphor: “He will bring a rose for you,” her father promised her, but a rose was no good, a rose could not keep her safe. It was a sword she wanted.”, “Ser Galladon was a champion of such valor that the Maiden herself lost her heart to him. She gave him an enchanted sword as a token of her love.”) i do not think it would be made lesser if the relationship does not necessarily operate within the boundaries of westerosi society. i dont care if the marriage is a symbolic one rather than a literal one (like a knighting.) i do not think that would take away from the romantic relationship. we will see. i know jaime deals with failure when it comes to fatherhood but i am still pretty lukewarm when it comes to that kind of ending for him. i would prefer that remaining a tragedy. could that change? idk.

brienne too is a complex character. her relationship with her desires is complicated. part of her does crave marriage and a child etc. again, it is not as simple as her not at all desiring any aspect of the role she is assigned due to her gender. it is a role that society made for her, but also did not allow her to fit due to how she looks. so that is already very loaded and highlights the contradictory nature of this strict binary. but she also is a knight. she likes it. there is a reason she is a little relieved as well. she has agency to be what she wants to be. she is operating outside of society’s moulds in her own way. is there a way to make these things compromise? maybe.

if you want an “anti-bnf” 😭 opinion from me i do absolutely want their relationship to be consummated, and i disagree with the ppl who want it to be/read it as just a courtly love/chivalric romance type deal in that sense. sexual themes permeate the dynamic, and i wouldn’t like it if george, who does not shy away from dealing with sexuality, didn’t deal with this one relationship, ESPECIALLY because Brienne is an unattractive woman. would unironically rub me the wrong way if she ended up being the one ‘major’ female character, with a key romance, who is also an adult, to not have that. do not want her to be desexualized in this context. i am also tired of the relationship being “purified” in this sense in a lot of general discussion bc i think it often ventures into backwards territory. i would not be really happy with them only getting sex metaphors (which there are plenty of already) + i do believe it would actually mean a lot for both of their characters too.

I had a dream where after escaping from prison Dream stopped to help the local post office recover from all the crossfire and brought them coffee helped them get the buffest most stat-perfect mail horses. Everything continued as usual except theres a post office with super strong horses who all think that despite the war crimes Dream is a pretty swell guy

this was such a funny ask to receive and i had to write something for it 😭 this is an au where loads and loads of people live in the smp !! tag for this au if i write more will be > au: smpost office

He’s such a nice man,” the workers whisper to each other as Dream leaves, arms now empty of the packages of cookies he’d brought for them, “really don’t know why he gets such a bad rep.”

Sure, he’d done a couple of not-so-great things. Blown up the houses of those living in L’Manburg, caused a few delays to postal services thanks to wars. But really, employees at the DSMPost weren’t about to start holding grudges. Not when he brought them such lovely gifts. They’re overworked and underpaid as it is: they’ll gladly take the help he offers.

Dream — former leader of the SMP, potentially former (or current) villain, recent former prisoner on the run — visits their post office every three to five business days.

“I don’t wanna show up too often,” he says one day, in that half-self conscious way of his, “I don’t want, like… people to realize I have a pattern of coming here. Or to think you guys are like, secretly working for me.”

“We literally would work for you,” Anya tells him very earnestly, absently petting one of the twelve horses Dream had gifted them, “you give us way better treatment than the boss.”

“You have a boss?” Dream asks, bemused. “Who?”

There are a few collective murmurs, before Ines, ever bold, says, “Well, technically Awesamdude. But it’s been a while since he dropped by, and he’s kind of a shitty boss, so… Mostly we just let Patches choose what we do now.”

If Dream falters at the mention of his former jailer, nobody is rude enough to bring it up. “Patches. Who’s Patches?”

There’s a meow from the corner. When Dream turns to look, there’s a tiny cat sitting proudly on a stool in the corner, angrily pawing at an empty food bowl. His heart melts.

“You know,” he says, “you could form a union.”

(Twelve hundred blocks away, Sam wakes up in a cold sweat.)

Dream is a fast favorite of the SMPost. They turn a blind eye to a lot of things, like whenever they find him sleeping in a corner with Patches standing over him fiercely to protect him, or when he decks them all out secretly with netherite (“just in case,” he warns, “I don’t want you to get hurt”). And hey, if sometimes one of them shows up early for a shift and finds him rummaging through the post and replacing Sapnap’s letters to Quackity with live wriggling scorpions, they don’t get paid enough to stop him.

All in all, he’s polite, he’s helpful, and he gives them presents.

…And the offer of a union. What’s not to like?

“What’s not to like?” Eryn repeats, bewildered. “Isn’t he, like, an insane man?”

The rest of the SMPost shrugs, shifts. “I mean,” Tim says, “he’s pretty cool to us. Never hurt me before.”

“He brought a birthday cake for my kid,” one worker chips in, a bright smile on their face, “baked it himself. It tasted awful, but it’s the thought that counts. He passed out for fourteen hours after that.”

Yousaf points to the cookies in Eryn’s hands. “Made those, too. He’s way better at cookie-making than cake-baking. Brings them over every week for us whenever we run out.”

Staring between his fellow employees and the admittedly delicious cookies in his hands, Eryn decides he doesn’t get paid enough as a minimum-wage worker to report Dream to anyone. The guy seems fine, and hey, maybe he can even convince Tommy to join the SMPost. Seeing Dream might shock him into being his old self again.

“Fair enough,” Eryn says, “but when he comes back in, I’m asking him for a horse of my own.”

that’s his reaction you dying

no emotions, no crying, just an empty, numb feeling in his chest and he can only think of you and not really focus on anything else

he'll be doing something and thoughts like “they would really like this” or “they would fucking hate this” or just picturing your reactions to something that donald’s doing in the current moment will cross his mind

he'll replay past conversations and interactions with you an unhealthy amount of times, suffering through tears. whether he wants to admit it or not, you had an affect on donald.

if you die tragically(say, beaten to death over union bs or jumped or whatever), he’ll punish those mother fuckers. no mercy.

donald'll be more salty and short-tempered to everyone around him. even kingsley isn’t safe.

donald misses you, and he longs to be in your presence one last time, even if it means listening to you complain about how cruel he runs his union.

jake ji

will bawl his eyes out and will probably have a psychotic break down.

he’ll be mental, how dare the universe take you from him?!

the one thing in his life that isn’t tied to the union, you were his little slice of life

a tiny piece of this world that isn’t cruel, someone he can go to.

sure, jake’s got dean and the guys, but they can be assholes sometimes. the one person that would always be there, arms open wide and endless love just for him, you, is gone. and it won't ever change.

all of those late, spontaneous nights at the parks, you pestering him to get him to study, pulling all-nighters watching anime, walking with you to and from school, your bright smile, your laugh, all of those times that you and jake cuddled close and fell asleep. these things will never happen again and jake can't handle that reality.

jake will call you, desperate and foolishly hoping that you'll pick up your phone. but all he ever gets is your voicemail. if you had access to your phone, it'd be voicemail after voicemail of jake violently sobbing into his phone, begging, pleading for you to come back.

wolf keum

his body will have a reaction to your death, but his mind won’t catch up.

with news of your death, wolf will start to tremble, his voice will be useless, and his body is super tense. he might even start crying.

but while all of this is happening, wolf won’t be feeling anything internally. his mind will run blank as he tries to process the fact that you’re dead.

wolf's emotionally numb and the only coherent thought he has is “oh, they’re dead. is this how someone’s supposed to react? what i’m doing now? why is there tears? i don’t feel sad? okay. they're gone. you're gone.”

he saw you this morning. wolf walked you to school. what happened? is this a sick joke?? cause if it is, wolf will beat your ass to death's doorstep himself.

but it’s not a joke and that slams him when he attends your funeral. wolf will be in the back of the room, hands stuffed into his pockets and eyeing your sobbing family and friends warily.

wolf doesn’t participate, hell, he can’t even bring himself to witness you getting buried, but he stays for the eulogy.

just hearing what your friends and family have to say about you kills him.

but it’s also almost like a peace offering at the same time. in what wolf hears about you via everyone else, he realizes that the you that you were around him was only for him. you showed him sides of you that none of these people knew about.

if wolf walked out of your funeral with anything that day, it was a minuscule glimmer of bitter sweet pride that he was the only one that got to love that version of you.

forrest lee

he’s just pissed off. permanently.

cries himself to sleep over you, is sweet to your family at your funeral, and stays through the whole thing

he doesn't know how to process these emotions. grape might lecture him about the 5 stages of grief, but forrest wouldn't be listening.

he'd dig himself a grave, drown himself in whatever he could get his hands on to escape reality.

forrest would pull the dumbest shit and end up driving Hyeongshin into the ground with his carelessness and get beaten a millimeter from death by donald's hands.

but as grape and robin watch on in complete horror and shame, forrest would be on the ground oddly content because maybe, just maybe, donald will deal that final blow and he'll get to see you again.

jimmy bae

he’s a giant softie, he’ll cry until he’s a human raisin as soon as he gets the news.

he won’t say anything to anyone, especially at your funeral. sure, he’ll talk to your family, but it’s short and quiet.

jimmy would definitely stand at your headstone hours after your burial ends. he won’t say anything, but he’s there. and he desperately wants to know if you’re there, too, sitting on your headstone or standing next to him, leaning into his side like you always did when you were alive.

jimmy always complained about you wanting physical affection, but he’d do just about anything now to hear you pout until he let you hold his hand on the walk to school just one more time.

big ben

you broke him. i don't know how else to explain it. ben's screams still haunt whoever was in earshot to this day.

ben's typical optimism and emotional maturity in tough situations will be thrown out the window.

he can't even take care of himself. ben will be too busy laying, numb, in his bed to attend your funeral, but gogo and the others would force him.

bens eyes are dead and he scarily resembles a corpse as he just exists while your funeral commences.

he's a husk of the person he used to be, though it'll take a long while before he's able to start living again.

though, ben will never be the same.

alex go

he disappears. no one knows where he went or if he’ll come back.

ben will try the ocean to see if alex is there, and the first few times he might be, but alex quickly gets sick of being brought back home to where you weren’t there.

alex thinks that if he isn’t in your neighborhood, walking by your school, your favorite store, that cafe you love, you aren’t dead.

it’s easier to process your death if alex is away from all the things that reminds him of you.

alex would drag himself to your funeral and would comfort your mother as your father holds his shoulder and talks about all the things you’d say about alex to them. your dads voice would be wobbly and your mother would laugh through rivers of tears and say how giddy you were after a date with him you’d be skipping through the rest of the week.

if, one day, he does come back, alex won’t say anything. he’ll focus on bettering himself because if he couldn’t protect you from death, what use does he have?

teddy jin

teddy spends his days inside with co. he’s quiet about your death, but not the concerning type of quiet.

it’s almost like teddys pondering why you died, though the cause of your death is public knowledge.

oddly, teddy processes and gets through his grief healthy. he does become more quiet than he was before.

like jimmy, teddy would stand for hours at your burial site. he just can’t nail the reality that you’re gone, even though he sat through and talked at your funeral.

gerard jin

gerard would be suicidal. if he can’t bear the idea that his friend couldn’t perform in his band for one year over burned hands, gerard wouldn’t survive news of your death.

he wouldn’t touch his guitar, and his voice is too weak without you to sing.

he attends your funeral, though, and he tries his hardest to gain the strength to talk to your family.

his mom would hand him your journal/note that you wrote, adamant that this is something he needs to read.

and he does, but he wishes to god that he didn’t.

you wrote to him and about him. every little thing that you two did together, gerard’s quirks that you loved. hell, you even poked fun at him one time or another.

he clings to your words and there’s months of grief in store for him.

when gerard finally starts to get over your death, he’ll write the most beautifully grim song about you.

gray yeon

we’ve all experienced what stephan ann has done to gray, so his reaction to you dying will be almost the exact same.

but this time, gray has friends. ben and alex would help gray start to get back into living again. those two would take him out, starting small and hopefully working back up to what he usually would do before your death.

eugene and gerard would be the silent supporters, eugene being more apt to confront gray and directly asking him what he needs.

rowan and teddy are the two idiots in the corner trying to be serious, but rowan fucks it up and gets smacked by teddy. they’re a distraction for gray, even if for a moment, but a welcomed one.

gray would write to you, telling you about his day and what’s been going on that you’ve missed.

once he’s finished writing to you, he’d walk to your grave and set it down, a small part of him hopeful that somehow you’ll be able to read it.

once he’s more comfortable around your tombstone, gray will take time to sit down and talk to you instead of letters.

eugene gale

poor baby doesn’t know what to do :(

eugene would close up and shun everyone around him.

he’d be mute and refuse to open up to anyone, deciding that suffering in silence is the best way to go instead of bothering everyone else with his grief.

eugene might go as far as to be hostile to ben and everyone else, and that’s when they know something is wrong wrong.

eugene is in desperate silence at your funeral, grasping at air to try and stop himself from crying.

he takes notice of the flowers at your eulogy, oddly. you had never stated what you like regarding flowers, if you liked them at all, so eugene found it odd that there were extravagant bouquets for you.

but when he visits your grave, he’ll bring different types of flowers and, depending on how well the grass above your casket is growing, find out which ones you like.

there’s no logic to this, eugene is aware of that, but it’s something that reassure eugene that you aren’t totally gone.

after months, eugene would sit at your grave and rattle off facts and stories to your head stone just like he did when you were alive.

rowan im

rowan could barely survive through your funeral, having to leave multiple times from sobbing, and visiting your grave is unbearable right now.

he would force himself to stay bright and cheery. he’s the type to make sure that nothing that bothers him will show.

he needs to stay that one friend that can make everyone laugh, ya know?

but more and more, rowan’s grief would seep onto his mask and the group would definitely notice.

it’d start with one quiet day, and then the jokes are less and less, and then for a whole week rowan just gives up.

how’s he supposed to function when you’re gone? you’re his number two, the one person who would go along with his shit and have fun.

how’s he supposed to find fun in mundane things now if you’re not around??

ok, so number 2 is: Favorite canon thing about this character?

and how can I begin to talk about what I like about Rodya if he literally makes me go:

but let’s start with the most logical thing, and that Dosty slaps our faces with from the very first chapter:

“He was remarkably handsome, with beautiful dark eyes and dark, chestnut-coloured hair; he was taller than average, slim and well-built.”

umm…hello? that’s not Rodya, that’s my type lol!

and a brief parenthesis, is that that’s the reason why I’m so in love with the Soviet Union 1970 portrayal aaaa

but beyond those girlie thoughts…

one of my favourite canon things about him is his family life. i know we are not told that much about it, but when his mother tells him that he used to cry and mourn his father’s death along with her, it just hit hard 😭 I made a little post about it here heheh. but I pretty much like how his mother and sister long for him because that means he was loving and caring with them, and he was just having a very bad day (if it can be said like that). aaaand I think we also acknowledge that with the way he threatens Luzhin when he talks poorly about Dunya and Pulcheria, like even in his worst moments, he was unable to stop thinking about their well-being.

also the way he thinks high of almost everyone else, even if on the outside he is just like “meh” about them. like when he tells Razumikhin that he knows he is a good person and very hardworking, I mean, one would have thought that he is just annoyed by his presence, but no, he is so aware of his good ways, he even entrusts his family with him 😭

and of course the way he is so selfless and even if it is during his strange rushes, he doesn’t hesitate to help others.

I think I also like the way he is, somehow, look in for love and understanding? (or idk, that’s how i read it 😭) like his relationship with the landlady’s daughter, and when he got closer to that prostitute on the street and just told her shyly she was very pretty, like please 😭😭😭😭💔

me for the past few nights: next ep is the one something happens, i can feel it 🤞🏻🤞🏻and tonight i will finally be right 😂 i have a very nice red on the shelf for just such an occasion; and it’s australian, too! (a friend said i might have to wait until the movie so she’s no longer a friend 😌)

ON that bittersweet reaching the end of my journey with them note!

the tennis ep was actually insane. to be fair, me commenting on miss fisher murder mysteries is just me saying they were so insane for this over and over again 😂

no but they were so insane for this episode!

starting right off the bat with jack teasing her with the spider fingers thing was just 🥺 i can see so clearly into the established relationship and it is good. and by the way, what i love most about them is that established relationship phrack is going to be exactly like pre-canon phrack except sometimes they’ll be naked.

and then her finger on his lips; i know you know what you’re doing miss fisher!

alas for the main event, and what if this scene was my last straw 😭

i love how we went from jack not wanting phryne anywhere near his crime scenes to him having the paperwork ready and giving her his childhood badge so they can work together. that’s what we call development, kids. and only a couple of episodes after he gave her that brooch. he’ll never ask her that question and he’ll never give her the ring but boy is he asking all the other questions in all the other ways, and if that paper and that badge aren’t symbolism for a certain kind of lasting union - but custom tailored to the two of them - i will eat my hat!

and can we take a moment to ~reflect and properly consider how fast phryne signed those papers. no hesitation, no questions asked before committing herself to whatever jack was offering. for me, that was such a ~moment; the way her trust in him is unquestioning and absolute.

no but this might be my favourite still of her ever actually:

i can’t stop thinking about it, how she looks at him like he hung the moon and it’s actually incredibly endearing the way she is just so obviously crazy about him 😭 and it’s the way he still seems pretty oblivious to the extent of her feelings is what really gets me. i mean, obviously he ~knows she wants him, she has never been shy about that; and he knows she cares about him, and he probably knows she likes him. but i don’t think he actually realises exactly how head-over-heels in love she is with him (hint: it’s about the same amount he’s in love with her).

and there’s something about the above cap that makes it a sister cap to this one:

the two scenes just give the same energy. phryne fisher, bare faced and smitten with jack robinson.

the internal device scene was comic gold, i am still loling at it moving, at hugh’s realisation, at jack being amusedly unfazed. i mean season one jack would have absolutely blushed and stammered his way through that but our season three jack has had the benefit of miss phryne fisher completely invade his life and that guy is made of sterner stuff 🏌🏻‍♀️

IT’S SO MUCH BETTER WHEN HE DOES IT WITH HIS TEETH line 😭 good grief, jealous phryne is my favourite phryne, i fear. it’s nothing out of control and it doesn’t linger or colour her actions or define their relationship even for a bit; which is what makes it so delicious when she indulges in that moment of asserting herself as the woman in jack’s life. full marks! (also full marks for jack never giving these women but an inch. i love that.)

no but jack’s brain hasn’t had a steady blood supply for two straight seasons now; he is god’s strongest strongest soldier

i suppose the blood supply issue explains my hypothetical above about how the hell does he not see she’s crazy about him 😭

them playing tennis like the couple they are, i hate them actually. their canon relationship game will serve, i know it. (parampapshh 🥁)

anyway, it’s really gonna be the last episode huh they’re really like that 😮‍💨 tbh with this sort of absolutely insane off the charts chemistry and incredible build-up, i can’t say i even mind. i’m not someone who needs to see the day-to-day of an established relationship, and while it would have been great to see them work on a case or two as a couple, to see them bickering and teasing and being them together for a season, i’m equally happy to leave that to fic. the build up is so much more important; the way two people find their way to each other, and honestly with this show it feels so earned.

ah, yes. summer. the only time where school doesn't matter anymore and you can just rest. despite the sun being really hot, you decided to go to the park.

during the walk to the park, you saw your friends. orel, doughy, tommy, and.. what was his name again? oh, well. doughy was the first to notice you, "hey, buddy! where are you going?" he asked as he waved and walked towards you. "i'm going to the park! you guys coming?" you replied and everyone said "yes", looking very excited to go with you.

when you guys arrived there, you all decided to play hide and seek. " okay! the last one to touch their nose.. becomes… it!" tommy said as everyone quickly touched their nose, but it seems that you were a little too late. "alright! you're it! now close your eyes and count from one to twenty while we hide!" orel exclaimed, telling you the basic rules to the game. and so, you close your eyes and lean against a tree while counting. "one, two, three-"

after a few numbers, you screamed "ready or not! here i come!" before you even started to look for them, you could hear laughter from behind the tree you leaned on. you took a peak to see doughy and.. uh.. him! so you creeped behind them and hug them from behind. "found you two! now, you have to help me find orel and tommy!" doughy and him were surprised, "how'd you even find us?" him asked as you let go of them both. "well, i just believe in myself and pray!" you replied. "woah.." they both said in union. to you, you sound like a normal kid but in their eyes, you are like a hero!

so you told everyone to split up. and by "split up" i mean doughy and him are together while you are alone. during your search for orel and tommy, you found someone else. you saw a boy with black hair burning ants with a magnifying glass. and you took that personally.

"hey, i dont think you should be doing that." you said towards the boy, while you were walking his way "and why do you care?" he replied. "well, it's because those ants didn't bite you, right? you shouldn't hurt other creatures because they didn't do anything to you!" you explained, now being beside him. "... nyeh!" he said as he stuck his tongue out at you. "was that a 'yes, i swear to never do that again'? oh, well! my name's [reader]! what about you?" you asked the boy as he put tongue back in his mouth.

"joe." he said in a harsh voice. "hi joe! wanna be friends?" you asked, offering your hand to make a "friendship handshake". joe was a little taken aback but he replied with a scoff, "wh- you wanna be friends, with me?" and you answered "yeah, so..??" "... pfftt! fine!" he said as he shook your hand.

• after a few days or even weeks of you guys first meeting, he would already be clingy. because, come on. he has never felt.. this kind of kindness from a friend before. instant besties.

• and because of that, he would vent to you. a lot. and ofc you would listen!

• if you have some hobbies that involves making stuff and you give the stuff to him (like, for example, a drawing or food or anything like that) he would freak! but he wouldn't show it.

• he would collect some flowers and cool rocks for you in return.

Boring class at 7, so my brain gathered…

Food for thoughts!

(Context: What ifs in role swap-ish AU, that one art of researcher Kate I did)

It would be funny if Kate was with Isaac in the oil rig. We can even count Kellyn too. 3 genius in one place but two being problems?? Bro’s gonna change the name from Team Dim Sum to Team Day Care (They can’t rid these kids cuz they’re too damn smart!). Also because crystal corruption is an interesting topic— Blake hall incident — to explore!

Not only you get Kellyn and Kate destroying the sinis trio in Isaac coding lessons, we can get Kate being silly and upgrading the tools in the office (Insert Kincaid screaming after he found out the hairspray was upgraded to razor blade 2 in 1).

Plus.. we have an interesting mix of personalities. Isaac being easily encouraged and dive right into the research not knowing what’s up. Kate as the middle ground between the other two, seems relaxed and going with the flow. Then you have Kellyn who is more critical, he tends to act on his own, a bit stubborn so they have to convince him to do things. You’re gonna be almost convinced he’s doing all this for the sake of imported, special newspaper from Fiore or other regions. He’s so unseriously serious… aka He got his own agenda and nobody in the office knows why! (Insert him sneaking around the base to find out whats up).

You bet Kate realizes something was up first because Kellyn was busy “theorizing” and “overthinking” things. (Insert her running across the hallways and stumbling into Team Dim Sum mission things). Whoops.. sorry teach.. uh.. boss?

Well typical story would be… they found out and this big show down ensues but you know what? Those three are smart minds. Yeah, Kate would pretend that it’s just a normal thing and continues to do stuff like regular. Ohhh but now Kellyn knows and they’re probably trying to convince Isaac. So wowzies, three teens plans behind the back of Team Dim Sum.

Other possibilities:

to be honest I know they can’t convince Kellyn to be a researcher. If I were Kincaid I’d look at his progress over the union and be like… tsk.. it’s a loss that I couldn’t put influence on that child. He has super great prospect, but hard to convince unlike Isaac is.

But I’m going with putting him in the lab because it’s so much funnier. I’m not missing out on him being savage to Sinis Trio (that would be hella funny).

What if we count Keith in? He got his job as a ranger and guess what? He’s breaking into the oil rig. Insert this: unexpected reassemble. Omfg you guys became nerds??? (He’s not rude, just silly like that). Now now, the showdown will be much more epic. Either

(1) it’s messy as hell. Everyone is just surprised. Maybe they ended up going back with Sven boat and bringing back important data.

(2) “Oh yeah, we were about to leave.” Keith thinking oh I’ll rescue you guys! Nahhhh we got this. Kellyn signaling Kate and Isaac to activate the showdown buttons and they just. Smoothly goes away with some diving equipments they stole from the boss. Oh shit I forgot Sven 💀 UHH maybe he’ll be driving the boat alone back.

That. Son. Of. A. Bastich. You hated him. You really did. Oh yeah, sure, it would be a SUPER great idea to catch feelings for possibly the most well known flake in the universe. It would be a FANTASTIC idea to actually believe him when he said he had feelings for you, too. And it would just take the proverbial CAKE if he was cheating on you.

Sure you didn't have concrete proof, but the long bounty trips, the vauge air of coldness, and his very NATURE were the giveaways you needed. So you were leaving. If he cared enough to go after you, you'd chew him out and turn him in. If he didn't, it was whatever.

There was a "Dear John" letter to consider, however. You still cared about him enough to tell him WHY you were gone. But the words just wouldn't come to you. That was probably what gave him the time to come inside before you left and sneak up behind you.

"Whatcha writin'?"

You jumped, dropping your pen on the desk and standing to get up. Your surprise in turn surprised him, and he raised his arms in a gesture of peace.

"Woah, babe, didn't mean ta spook ya. Thought you heard me come in."

Still shocked, your mouth twitched to form words, but none came. That amused him.

"What, writin' a letter ta yer secret side piece? How come ya never do that romantic crap ta me?"

That was the kicker. He accused YOU of cheating? While he was the one actually DOING IT? It didn't even register to you as a joke, and you lost it.

"Oh you WOULD. GOD I cannot believe I ever- you- you-"

"Hey, what's-"

"DO NOT HEY WHAT'S ME, YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT'S WHAT."

"..."

"Answer me!"

He furrowed his brow, and you saw his pupils dilate as he thought. So it was multiple people.

"The girl!"

"The huh?"

"The girl or guy or whoever it is you're fragging cheating on me with!"

"What- babe."

"DON'T BABE ME!"

"Ok, ok, no babe. But will ya listen ta me?"

"Oh, yeah, listen to you weasel out of any consequences I might give you, I hate you so MUCH."

"Listen. Ta. Me."

Clenching your fists, gritting your teeth, you tried to push past him.

"Let me by."

"I can't."

"Let me BY."

"No."

"Why?!"

He opened his mouth and looked like he wanted to say something, but then seemed to shrink back from the thought. Instead, he took your hand. Surprising yourself, you let him.

"Just... I can show ya paystubs, tickets, whatever. Just let me tell ya why I'm out so much."

You could hear the slight shake in his breath, but what you couldn't hear was the mantra running through his head:

"Please don't leave me. Please."

You could feel it though, subconsciously but you could feel it. So you let him sit you both down on the couch and continue holding your hand.

"Ok, so, uh. Ya know my kid, yeah? Crush?"

You nodded, remembering his estranged daughter.

"Well, she uh. She got inta some trouble with th' Darcan mob. She's in on the bounty huntin' shit too, jus' goes after live targets, but one'a the guys she grabbed was th' Capo's son."

"So she-"

"Lemme finish. I got wind a their... plans fer her afore she did. She still doesn't know. I made a couple deals with em. Work for em, take down a couple'a their rivals, that kinda shit. Trouble is, they don't pay union rates, so my cashflow decreased. I had ta go after more bounties, outside'a theirs. It's been... 'sbeen a long couple months."

"Why didn't you tell her?"

"We ain't exactly on speakin' terms."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"You'd worry."

"Of course I would! You're a hitman for the fragging Darcan mob!"

"Was. I paid off th' debt."

"When?"

"Bout six hours ago."

"Bo... you could've told me."

He looked away from you. He looked... ashamed? Worried? You couldn't exactly tell.

"Lobo, I'm so sorry I yelled at you. I must have sounded totally crazy and-"

"Woah, hey, nah. Y'sounded pretty reasonable. From where yer standin', at least."

"Still..."

He just sighed and leaned back onto the couch.

"Can we... not talk right now? 'M tired."

You nodded, then leaned into him, resting your head on his chest. You could actually feel him relax under you.

"Sorry I made ya worry."

okay so SAB!!! I saw JJK in my dreams again and.....you know how the settings are wierd but I remember, for some reason that our library was very cute?! 😭 Like idk baby pink books and LIP GLOSS?! WHO TF KEEPS LIP GLOSS IN LIBRARY AND THAT TOO IN CUTE LITTLE BOXES?! BUT ANYWAYSSS that there were like these box kinda things in which manga(s)/smaller (in size) books were kept and I was trying to locate the one we were reading. Because for some reason it was some union reading sort of thing where one kid was reading aloud and we were to keep up because we might have to read next. The thing we did when we were kids, remember? 😭

Anyways, to the main point. And I realise YUJI himself was beside me and then I ask him where did he get the book from so he helps me out and also makes sure I've located the page and line we were on 🥺 as in when I got the book I just took a peak on what page was opened in his book and tried locating it, but he leans in to locate it himself, just in case and when we all turn the page he's making sure I'm still on track. Which eeeeeeee made my heart swell even in dreams because I realised just how nice it would be to have him as a classmate?! Absolute blessing. The ideal classmate. Angel. Would help you with everything he can, makes sure no one is ever left sad/alone in class, bringing snacks for you randomly, so SO easy to approach, funny and goofy. Wow. Absolute angel, as I said. He'd be like the cool kids, except he's genuine and not mean or anything along that line.

the bad batch arc in s7 had a trope that i'm 100% sure was rooted in racism when it was first invented and i can't believe it missed it the first time around.

so besides calling the natives of Skako Minor primitve over and over for being low/no tech and committing the cardinal sin of worshipping animals, what happens is that multiple times, their village is destroyed.

the first time, anakin says "no casualties!" valid. they're literally civilians regardless of how backwards you think they are. cue wrecker shaking his head in disgust (or whatever you want to call it) and then rolling....a massive boulder through the center of town. ok.

then they get anakin. village leader is like "we dont want you to bring your war to us". everyone and their mother is like "um actually we're not the ones doing that :/" but guess what the techno union wouldn't have been at that village if yall didn't end up going back there in the first place.

so the crew uses the keeradacks (the flying lizards these people worship) to get to safety. show up in town. leader's still not thrilled to see them (valid, I also do not like the bad batch). he's like lol i tamed the animals cool but u still cant be here. and they say something that prompts rex to be like "ok I get that BUT consider what they did to my friend! These people (the techno union/seppies) are bad they made him a machine!!"

which like. he would have still been a machine under the republic if they'd managed to grab him or even if he hadn't blown up. the clones literally don't have rights. we (almost) talked about this.

and i have to wonder. what part of echo do they have so much of a problem with, exactly? this goes for everyone who's made a comment on him, which is....the bad batch and rex lol. man's blew up. he's got two proesthetic legs im assuming because he lost the originals in the blast. he's missing an arm--either the techno union cut off the first or they seized the opportunity to give him the screw driver. the existence of which im confused about because i thought he was under stasis for years. so what exactly was the screwdriver for.

but regardless. the legs the arm and the other implants that, yes, were used to hack his brain but are also clearly keeping him alive. the pretense of it is absolutely awful but why are yall so mad he's got as much metal in him as he does 😭

but anyways back to the natives. the team tames the beasts and then rex makes his speech and anakin is also like "yeah actually we want you guys to help us fight the separatists" and for whatever reason the leader says yes. which gives very much "our (white) protagonists come across Hostile Natives but after Proving Themselves/Becoming Part of the Culture and making emotional pleas, the natives are 100% totally cool with risking life and limb for these people they just met that were also just calling them backwards two hours ago" it was all very gross

i also dont talk as extensively about trey but Love Him dearly. all the heartslabyul boys got that "if anything happens to them ill blow up" "id kill anyone who hurts them" and "id take a bullet for them" BC I LOVE HEARTSLABYUL SO MUCH!!!!!! THOSE ARE MY SILLY LITTLE GUYS!! trey is so funny to me. like he. whats with the teeth thing trey. jksdlfsd it's SO funny to me his hobby is brushing his teeth. there's at least one or two times i think it's mentioned where he checked ace and deuce's teeth bc like? ?? ? ? i think in one of his voice lines he said it's a habit from doing it with his little siblings [BIG BROTHER BEHAVIOR SO SWEET WAGHGHGHGHHH] and i think there's a card story where ace was trying to skip out and cut corners on the Teeth Ritual and trey was like Not On My Watch 🧍‍♂️ jkfjsdjf hes so funny. he literally went into fanboy mode in halloween 2 when he found out sebeks dad is dentist. he tries so hard to be seen as A Normal Guy and yet hes Like That. hes science club besties with resident freak ROOK HUNT [beloved i love u rook hunt]. his childhood friends are teapot tyrant riddle and wildcard catboy chenya. his other bestie is terminally online partyboy caycay. he loves stupidass little jokes and he + cater sometimes like to lightly terrorize the underclassmen for funsies skjfjklsjf. friendly boys with an Evil side jfkldsjkldskljf.
