I just think this is the funnier chunk.#Lan Wangji absolutely is the kind of person who has a perfect internal alarm clock for when it is time to get up.#He already has a dedicated sleep schedule. He is accurate within 10 seconds of 5am every day.#I think the Jiang disciples are most likely used to waking up around 6:00-7:00am #But the allure of having a guaranteed time keeper getting you up in the morning is worth the earlier hour.#I imagine they started outside lwj's door and slowly moved closer as the weeks went on.#Now LWJ has to cope with being way too warm in the night from all the extra body heat.#LWJ is not a fan of this but they scamper off immediately after he wakes up and they at least show initiative to follow routine.#NHS joins in only because he is a chronically heavy sleeper and needs this level of intervention to get up early.#His boldness would be a death sentence in the cloud recesses but here? Whole new game.#Yungmeng Jiang isn't a lawless land. It's just a land with different laws.#And one of those laws is to forcefully domesticate the catboy coded Lan boy through any means necessary.#Completely different tangent: I drew the thumbnail for this before I did comic 134. I then realized they had the same visual gag.#So I had to space this one out so it didn't seem like I repeated the waking up joke. That's my secret and all of you have to keep it.#And in my land the law is that snitches get itches (telepathically transfers hives onto your body)

a thing about rtd's era that i really really love seeing again is how he will usually wrap up the plot 10 or even 20 minutes before the episode ends and then the rest of that time is just dedicated to the characters talking to each other and dealing with their emotions and situations. like instead of a last minute win and a two minute goodbye they always get these massive spans of time to really get into everything emotionally and it always makes the episodes hit even harder

#this is rly on my mind since i just finished rewatching s3 too and like. the end of the #world plot wraps up in like 30 minutes the rest is just the characters talking to each other it's so good. houghhdgdgh #like they always leave so much time for everyone to just. HAVE CONVERSATIONS. and every #character has so many little things they do like for example martha calling up the ppl she #met during the year that never was.. like. you could say those scenes weren't necessary coz they #dont add anything to the plot and they really dont! we coulda spent that time on the Big Bad Villain. and yet it's a #much better use of that time because it makes everything feel so much more real #yes these ppl wont even remember meeting martha but here they are. they're okay and she cares abt them so much #same with the new ep like the plot ends at like minute 40 the rest is just them hanging out😭😭😭 it's so good....#doctor who #14th doctor #10th doctor #15th doctor #rtd #the giggle

I wish I could be excited about RvB: Restoration, but at this point, I'm just glad it's finally ending.

Hi yes you should read Dr. Devon Price's new book Unlearning Shame when it comes out in February.

I put a long review on goodreads but basically what Tumblr will care about is:

we are all victims of a system that is built around shaming us for needing help and not being perfectly self sufficient (and not fitting into the norm) and the only way to change things is to stop shaming individuals for their "failings" and recognize that we're all just creatures and experience and promote acceptance of yourself and forgiveness of others

(i am REALLY summarizing please read Price's actual words he is much better than this one paragraph at explaining this and leading the reader nicely to unlearning shame of your own and the shame you project on others)

#just finished reading it #what a fucking necessary read for the tumblr population #so many things that i'm like... well fuck yeah i did / do that without ever really thinking about it #genuinely such a useful read to like #reframe some things that i knew i was thinking about in the wrong way but it's sometimes so hard not to blame #but it's so ridiculous #we're all victims of a system and putting shame on individuals isn't going to help anyone #i will reread this book a few more times and i'll be getting a physical copy as soon as i can as i did with his other books #devon price #unlearning shame
