also i didn't get to talk abt my top however many things that i've watched in 2023 and i'm probably going to have to make this into a thread but firdt of all revenant and celebrity are definitely Up There for me from the cast to the story and everything else i was completely into those shows and that's a lot for me bc getting bored halfway into a show is my number one (reluctant) hobby.
i definitely think revenant escaped that partly bc there was no obvious romance plot for me to get bored after they get tgt but even without it being obvious kim taeri and hong kyung tgt in that show was one of the best decision ever made in cinema. kim taeri stuns us once again with her amazing acting + shim dalgi moment s, that was great i'm still not done watching more of her stuff but i really do love seeing her in stuff i'm watching it's always a delightful surprise and she slayed that role like it was written for her so that was great. oh jungse was there too (ig 🙄) and it was nice he did his job and i was sold + yang hyeji moment ! always a blast seeing her in anything (will make another appearance when i talk abt sweet home 2 in this post eventually)
now celebrity,,, amazing drama, i'll be honest at first i wasn't too sold on the influencer plotline but it's a park gyuyoung drama and as a humble lesbian i just had to tune in + lee chungha slay once again, i've loved her ever since vampire detective and this character was amazing for her
anyways i loved the plot, loved the execution, one grievance i have is definitely the fact that seo ari ends up with that loser classist guy intead of yoon sihyeon which was??? like if not for homophobia ik they would have ended up tgt bc seo ari has too much respect to stay with hjk for sure
also one thing i absolutely Have to comment on is that one scene where seo ari ruins her dress and then she goes "i can just pay for it" or smth along those lines and when she realizes what she said she gets a little taken aback? ye that scene birthed me actually bc??? what amazing writing truly just art
also literally the whole cast in that show was just like oh ye i'm an amazing performer and here's proof so that was definitely a treat for the audience (me)
now smth that Didn't come out during that year but i finally watched bc of park sewan (i still haven't finished doona but when i found out she played in it i was like!!!! school 2017 actress moment, idk why i have this weird cast of school 2017 thing but i do and it simply can't be helped) anwz it's!!!! ultimate weapon alice or wth title that you know it by. now i'll be honest the ending? i wasn't thrilled but i also didn't care much for it bc this drama just felt like one where the ending really isn't that important like ye i used to study lit so having an "oh this is a tragedy (shakespeare war flashbacks)" moment is always nice but that's not what this is abt, the sound design (? eng isn't my first language so don't be mean to me) alone makes this show better than average, the writing? impeccable, those imaginary somewhat comedic scenes? right up my alley, every episode was just a treat after another i had a Great time watching it, the characters and their dynamics were truly amazing and the acting was just constantly delivering once again i just love park sewan and i will finish watching doona for her (mostly, i love suzy too ofc <3)
now smty else i watched that i lived this year : enigma. what a show, short but a masterpiece nonetheless and i can't wait for s2 although obv as i was forced to learn through being a cw nancy drew fan, i should always keep my expectations low when the first season is a little too good. also prim won't be there which booooo,, but i'll get over it and i can't wait to see the new charas.
one thing to know abt me : i love visually pleasing stuff and if you play around with format a little bit and add some great mixed media to your show not only am i sold but i'm also telling whoever is willing to listen to go and watch your show i'm easy and i'm not ashamed.
anwz brain no worky anymore so i'll add onto this eventually but don't hold me to that (just rmbrd i have to talk abt sweet home 2 so i Will be back for that hehe)

losers playing ttrpgs... losers playing ttrpgs save me...
mike is running a multi-year homebrew ttrpg campaign that is basically just a combination of any rulebook the losers can get their hands on + anything they come up with. i know it to be true. the campaign started as a call of cuthulu campaign but it is now a terrifying mix of call of cuthulu, dungeons & dragons, and cyberpunk with elements from a dozen other games including star wars: the roleplaying game, warhammer, harnmaster and somehow alma mater(??? idk how. but i know this happened). richie was like. "mike man, i love you forever, you're great at this. but why don't i have magic powers?" and he pointed at ben's collection of d&d rulebooks he'd been browsing through and he sounded so earnest and excited that mike knew in that moment he was going to sacrifice the integrity of his cool mystery campaign so richie could cast vicious mockery (99% sure vicious mockery didn't exist yet... don't quote me on that but it doesn't matter because the idea of richie using it constantly is hilarious)
they've all been playing the same characters for years and they keep convincing mike to add more stuff so they're all like super powerful and mike keeps having to come up with more and more powerful enemies.
mike's dice collection is so so so cool he has so many dice, and whenever he introduces a new important character he goes out and gets dice that fit their theme and it is such a moneysink but it's worth it because ooooh pretty dice
after four occasions where the losers decided to adopt a random npc mike hadn't planned anything for, mike has started planning every single npc out down to the specifics of their childhood education. he has endless character sheets hanging out in his room with characters he's created that populate his game world.
okay hanbrough agenda time: bill is the most oblivious guy in the entire world. i know this. (he is the guy who looks at brokeback mountain and goes "what do you mean it was gay? why can't men be friends anymore?" this is based on that one passage at the beginning of the book where he goes on one of those "why can't the curtains just be blue because they're fucking blue" rants lol. he does not know what media literacy is. to me) and mike is. increasingly frustrated and feels like he's losing his mind. he is like head in hands because he asked bill to go to prom with him and bill was like "yeah sure man! sounds great, you're my bestie forever!", and he has no idea what to do, because how is this man this dense, so he just starts having all of his NPCs fall head over heels for bill's character and flirt like madmen. it is painful for everyone involved. except bill. who still has no idea what is going on. that is a very unfortunate month.
mike and ben hang out a lot and ben helps mike brainstorm for the campaign so ben has all this insider knowledge and mike will just look at him before something insane happens in the campaign. they'll like make eye contact and ben will be like holy shit holy shit holy shit :0 and mike just drops some insane new lore. it's very special to me.

remembering the most memorable mc's (with canon appearences) from the otomes i played
all of them are phone games btw. and looong rambling about the games after the cut!
Mystic messenger has been in my radar since i was in elementary school but i played it for the first time after the spanish traslation came out (2017 i think?) Seven shaped my type in such a specific way that im not really sure why loved him so much (it was the whole "he loves you in every route" stuff). I like a lot the default mc, most of the fandom did and that was enough to won me over
Rosa is top tier protagonist tbh, Tears of Themis has really good story and characters (as far i played, not a lot but i enjoyed it) The reason i'm not that much of a fan is bc the game is expensive asf and not very free to play friendly. You're either lucky or have a big wallet with the gacha
i miss my wife man(Marius)
Ephemeral has to be one of the best free to play otomes i've played tbh (if my memories aren't tricking me, it's been years) Good artwork, good storyline, good characters and as far i remember you can unlock one chapter of the character route per day (mabye two days, idk) and the mc's background has an important role in every route (she's a zombie! she's pretty now but eventually will fall apart, aaaaand her story gets expanded in one of the routes!) ((shes also adorable)) There's also a sequel, if you wanted more of the boys! never finished it but i'd recommend it
Honorable mentions! Huellitas Mágicas is a great game! has a really good cast with well fleshed arcs for all the characters, even the scondary ones! The game shines more for the development of *all* the characters rather than just the protagonist/ml. The main theme is overcoming insecurities! Each love interest has a different way of helping our (very insecure) protagonist and helping different characters with their own struggles :DD
10/10 i recommend this game if you want something cute and can be finished in a few hours, if i remember right. It also has a sequel! with like- 12 new love interests, also never finished it bc i didnt found a guide that worked for me but ñek
A3! is my canon event as a gacha player. Discovered the english/global server, tried it and got bored, left it for a few months, tried it again and fell in love, noticed the game was going to shut down bc low sales -HAHA :(-. This is not a otome btw, this is here bc Izumi has to be one of my favorite protagonists in gacha games ever
last but not least! Obey me! Shall we date? oh dear, what have they done to you :(. The original had intense powercreep to force you to pull cards -multiple times bc that makes them stronger- and even now, the company showed a lot of favoritism to some characters, leaving others to dust bc they don't make the same money. Not to say, they released a new game with the same cast and new main story (ignoring all what happend before). And let me say: THEY LITERALLY WANTED TO KILL THE ORIGINAL GAME.
Nightbringer might be a decent game but i don't trust the devs anymore, i still remember what happend with Asmo's birthday right after the release, and honestly i don't want to sit there watching how they disrespect my favorite characters again and again and again. Loved the characters hated the devs. 5/10 you can play it if you want but i don't recommend spending money on it, it's not worth it, just search #obey me here in tumblr and enjoy the amazing fanworks that i can assure you have a lot more love than the game itself

I went to a liberal as fuck high school where no one gave me shit for being openly gay (this was like 2017 btw) but I got so much shit for being a furry. literally what’s so wrong with liking animals that stand up

im trying to phrase this in a way that makes sense and isnt too long but its not working so:

(the jsk is/will be made using ur tutorials btw!! you inspired me to keep sewing and designing through my Problems™️ - plus this means it'll have good lace and the right shape etc etc, im just curious if you as a person i appreciate from across the world have an opinion on fandom references vs cosplay)
So I did a post specifically on adapting Zelda looks into lolita fashion back in 2017.
And back in April when I was still able to stand, I did a coord with a Zelda print. I made the dress back in 2016 as part of a school project, but the coord involved a lot of new lolita fashion pieces that I've obtained since then. The bottom part of the skirt is the opening graphics from Wind Waker.
The really short answer is a JSK made with a printed fabric can be lolita and isn't a cosplay, but you need to make sure that the print is suitable for lolita fashion. I did a guide on that too.
But there's plenty of dresses with Sanrio characters that aren't Hello Kitty cosplays. An interesting brand to check out with regards to this is Secret Honey, who has a lot of disney tie-in dresses. You can see the difference between a themed dress and a cosplay dress.
Cosplay is cosplay. It's the art of dressing up as a character. In many cases, that's about creating or recreating specific garments worn in the source material. In cases where specific garments aren't being used, it's about looking like the character, and wearing clothing that is like what they could have worn. A good cosplay is going to go beyond just the garment and be a complete look, a head-to-toe costume.
Different from cosplay is things like Disneybounding, of which I guess the non-Disney version would be stealth cosplay. Disneybounding is dressing up in a way that resembles or reflects a character, without wearing a costume. This comes from Disney Parks policy that adults can't be wearing costumes in the park. A Disneybound look can distinctly resemble a character, but has to be constructed of modern(ish), mainstream(ish) garments. The whole look cannot be something that would look out of place at a Denny's at 2AM.
Themed lolita falls much more into Disneybounding than it does cosplay. The main difference is that a Disneybound look is composed of mainstream fashion pieces that resemble or remind you of a character. A themed lolita look is constructed out of pieces that can stand alone as lolita pieces, but that all fit a larger theme.
For an example on my coord up there, the skirt is a themed piece. The green linen was chosen specifically to look like Link's traditional green outfit, and the print is images from the game. My ocarina necklace is also a piece that I would not normally wear with a lolita look. However, the blouse is from Innocent World, a lolita brand. The overskirt was made by a lolita brand and was designed to be a lolita overskirt. The headbows aren't Zelda-themed and can be worn with other coordinates.
The legwear was just going for color balance and doesn't actually add to the concept of the coord and objectively speaking, the bottom half of the coord is too punk-themed to really work with the top half of the coord. One of the really great things about wearing lolita fashion is that you can look at past looks, recognize that you like them, but also see things to improve on in the future. This is great because it allows you to experience wearing the same pieces repeatedly without wearing the same outfits repeatedly.
Regarding theme, a lot of brands have recurring themes and characters (Usakumya and Kuma Kumya are a good pair to start your research on). They make a lot of elements that are themed after these characters, but those pieces are themed lolita pieces, and not cosplay. (If anyone has ever done an actual Usakumya cosplay, please let me know ASAP. I need to see that).
Many people who wear lolita fashion are also cosplayers, and so the community has really tried to stop using "cosplay" as a negative term to describe poorly done lolita. You'll run into "cosplay lolita" still used in context of characters like Wednesday or Misa Amane, where the author or artist decided that they wear "gothic lolita" and didn't actually do a ton of research.
This means that people who wear their source material's "gothic lolita" look are really wearing a poorly-researched outfit made by someone who didn't really know what they're doing. People will also use the term "cosplay lolita" to describe a poorly-researched outfit made by someone who didn't really know what they were doing, as if "that's the sort of outfit you'd see as a cosplay of a character." However, it's a term that's falling out of favor and really isn't very nice to cosplayers who often spend a LOT of money and time on their cosplays.

I named myself 😎 The name Miles came from Miles Edgeworth LOL Me and an (ex)friend really liked Ace Attorney and the joke is that I was Miles and they were Franziska, and because at that point I was looking for a name it worked nicely!
However with time I really didn't want my name super directly attached to anyone, thats when I figured Mikael out as like "A longer version of Miles" and to be my name name SDFGHJ
I still use Miles a lot and like Ace Attorney btw! if anything, lately I been using Miles online more than my name for the sake of not putting my full name on the interwebs lol

Gojo has his head. In season 2 he tells toji he failed to kill him because he didn't cut off his head. Sukuna didn't cut off his head. He can still heal his body.
Plus we see Nanami tell gojo that there are two paths. One to change you or one to stay who you are. Gojo says goodbye to his dead friends and we see him walk away showing he's taking the second path. We also see a lotus then.

Gojo is not dying. He may be gone a few chapters but everything his hunting he will heal his body and be back.

listen. i so badly want him to come back. i really fucking do. i read jjk 0 when it came out in jump giga in 2017 and when it wasn't called jjk yet (it was called tokyo metropolitan curse technical school btw). i've been with gojo since mfing 2017... 2017!!! i've loved him for over 6 years now i can't even believe it's been so long.. i never expected that silly oneshot manga to become this popular 🥹 kinda makes me happy how loved jjk is currently :')))) but the fact of the matter is that gege has stated numerous times that he wants to finish jjk soon. he actually stated in late 2022 that he was planning on finishing it in 2023. gege's editor has come out and said that the manga will not be ending this year though, so my guess is somewhere around spring 2024 everything will be wrapped and and be donezo so that gege can move on to that goddamn idol manga he's been yapping about for a while now. so what am i trying to say with this tangent? i'm saying that jjk is ending soon and that gege has stated multiple times how difficult it was for him to write around the powerhouse that is gojo (which is just an admission of his own shitty writing/planning because mf YOU 🫵 are the writer like you are the one that created him!!! learn how to plan out your story and how to utilize the characters you yourself have created for it you stupid fucking cat i swear to god....). this all just screams to me that it's over. it's finished. gojo already died once and came back enlightened, he's not gonna have it a second time. not this close to the end. not after having been removed from the narrative for over a hundred chapters. not after seeing sukuna back at full health in his heian era form, something gege didn't even have gojo force out of him. like gege really got him out of the box so that he could be done with him unarguably and conclude his character arc because he wants to finish jjk.
gojo is dead, nobara is for sure dead, megumi is basically done for (we'll see him once more within the mind once yuuji does his soul cursed technique whatever bullshit on sukuna to have a talk but he's not coming back no more), and yuuji, the kid whose execution started this story, will be the only one left alive. gege said in an interview a while ago that he wanted to end jjk with either 1 of the main 4 dead, or only 1 of the main 4 alive. i think it's pretty obvious that person is supposed to be yuuji. "die surrounded by your friends" from the first chapter is going to turn into "all your dead friends will surround you". i am wholeheartedly convinced of this. i'm sorry, but after 3 years of having to sit through that worthless culling game arc leading to absolutely nowhere for our heroes, after realizing that there will never be a pay off for the last 100+ chapters because the whole point of the arc is now fucking dead just like that, i do not have it in me to have any faith nor hope in gege's writing skills. it's become painfully clear to me how mid that guy is at writing and how hard he is rushing towards the end. i have lost all faith and goodwill i used to hold for gege.

Ok, so I finally decided to read the pilot manga Gege had published back in 2017. (It’s Jujutsu Kaisen 0, for those who consider it a prequel.)
And I just noticed, that while Ijichi is properly introduced and Ino is, in fact, also quite established — judging by his recognisable design — after that, the only other character that seems to have been significantly thought through is MeiMei.
Nanami for some reason, IF this is — especially in the first panel that doesn’t really look like he is but let’s humour the idea — Nanami (because who else is wearing a tie and has a 3/7 hairdo???), in this initial design he looks a lot more like in his High School design. Something tells me, that Gege hadn’t yet decided whether or how to use him (I hope you’ll need his character at the end Gege and fucking regret what you did to him btw!) so he changed the design in JJK but because he liked it (?), he kept it as his younger version. The only thing I’m sure of however, is that if he hadn’t even figure out his final design, then he probably never planed for him to be a pivotal character, which actually makes me want to punch Gege more after making me like him!
And who are these guys? Even in the council room, this character doesn’t appear again but a bunch of others do…

richie tozier is always ridiculously warm i know it in my heart...
he's that asshole kid who wears t-shirts and shorts in winter because he's actually so warm all the time he feels like he'll melt if he wears anything else, no matter how cold it is.
his friends always use him as a human space heater when they're cold so there are frequent instances of loser penguin huddles. if any of them forget a jacket richie always lends them his since he was probably getting too warm anyways.
when they're building snow forts richie will use his hands to melt the snow a bit so it refreezes as ice and eddie always freaks out at him over it because he's an idiot and he's going to get frost bite, which is honestly at least 60% of the reason richie does it (to get eddie's attention not frost bite)
he is liable to get pneumonia and has gotten it more than once because... how he dressed in the 2017 film? that is how he is dressing mid-winter if he gets the opportunity (maggie and went try to stop him but he's a determined kid and sometimes he just straight up brings a change of clothes to school). he's so used to being too warm all the time that everything else feels extremely mild. like he doesn't feel cold but. it is still winter in maine. so. yeah bro is getting pneumonia! (this is part of my autistic richie agenda btw. fun fact for those who didn't know: a lot of autistic people don't experience temperature the same way allistics do [under/over-sensitivity]. i don't really understand why is happens, but it's pretty interesting!)
he's a total mess about holding hands with eddie because he's always kind of sweaty and clammy unless he's like. standing in a snowstorm or directly in front of a fan. eddie is used to it though from being kids and helping each other up or holding hands during games, so he's like "???? why are you being weird i know you're always drenched in sweat its fine you weirdo"
also eddie runs cold so they balance each other out <3 since richie is always so warm and eddie is always so cold, eddie realizes he can put his hands on the back of richie's neck and richie will jump in surprise over the sudden drop in temperature.

Summary: you and Joe meet at a party!

I was getting ready in my bathroom when my friend Ruby walked in. She was wearing a ruby red mini dress with boots and her ginger hair was straightened. Straightening your hair is a big thing these days in 2017. I think she straightens it like every day but it’s ok. I on the other hand am wearing a black mini dress that was short sleeve and a jean jacket with my white converse. My hair was also straightened but I put my front two pieces up and into little clips. I was just putting on some last minute touches to my makeup.
“Hey! Who’s ready to party!”-Ruby
I looked at her through the mirror
“Well I know you are!”-you
“Oh come on y/n it’s going to be so much fun! And there will be so many hot boys! I’m definitely getting laid tonight!”-Ruby
I turned around and chuckled
“Ruby I thought you had a thing going on with Nick?”-you
“Well yeah I was, but him and his friends are apart of our friend group and that will make it weird between us. Also I can find someone way cuter than Nick.”-Ruby
“If you say so!”-you
I turned back around to finish my makeup
“So, I know you have a thing for Joe, so maybe try to make a move tonight!”-Ruby
“Are you kidding? No way, I’m not doing that!”-you
“Oh come on y/n, you’ve had a crush on him ever since we all met last year. It’s the start of the new school year so that means you should start somewhere with someone! Start a new chapter in your boring life!”-Ruby
I put my blush down and faced Ruby

She took my hand and led me out of my room and to the front door. We are going to Nick and Joes house which they share with a few other guys and they are the ones hosting the party. The drive wasn’t too bad, only 10 minutes. There house is where all the parties are and all group hangouts. I honestly wasn’t really in the mood to party. I just took a really big Writing test and not in the mood to party it all out. I just wanted to sit on the couch eating ice cream and watching The Bachelor.
After the ten minute car ride we hopped out of the car and into the boys house. Once we walked in it was filled with students. Most of them were in the backyard and some inside.
“Hey guys!”-Sam
“Hi Sam!”- you and Ruby
“Come on in! Let me get you guys a drink.”- Sam
We headed over to there kitchen were there was an arrangement of alcohol.
“Here ya go!”-Sam
“Thanks.”-you
He handed me a beer which I wasn’t a big fan of but I will drink it. More of a wine or spicy margarita person. Ruby went her own way so I was left alone. I made some small talk with people on my classes but they went there separate ways after a while so it was just me.
“Hey y/n!”-Nick
“Oh, hi Nick!”-you
He came in to hug me
“Hey, do you mind going into joes room and getting some extra cups? That’s where we put them.”-Nick
“Oh, sure!”-you
“Thanks y/n! Just put it in them kitchen.”-Nick
“Ok!”-you
I started walking into the hallway and to Joes room. I knocked on the hard wood door and opened it. I don’t see Joe was on his bed playing with a Football.
“Oh jeez, you scared me!”- you
“Haha, sorry y/n.”-joe
“It’s ok!”-you
I stood there for a second fidgeting with my cup of beer in my hand.
“What are you doing in your room when there’s a party going on?”-you chuckled
“Not a big party person.”-joe
“Understandable.”-you
“I just came to get the cups and I will be out of your way.”-you
I reached down to get the big package of red solo cups.
“It’s ok! Dont worry.”-joe
We smiled at each other but then all of a sudden the door opened.
“Hey sorry, but I can take those of you want!”- Justin
“Oh uh, yeah thanks!”-you
“You’re welcome!”- Justin
I handed him the bag
“Bye guys”- Justin
“Bye!”-you and Joe
He closed the door
“Well I guess my job is done!”-you
“I guess so!”-joe chuckled
“So uh, are you just going to be in your room the whole time joe?”-you
“Yeah, I don’t really feel like going out there right now.”-joe
I nodded
“I honestly didn’t really want to come. I just wanted to stay on my couch eating ice cream and watching the Bachelor.”-you laughed
Joe laughed
“Not a party person either?”-joe
I shook my head
“I feel ya!”-joe
We both laughed
“I’ve never been in your room before!”-you
“Really? You come over all the time!”-joe
“Haha yeah.”-you
I walked over to his desk and saw that he got a bad grade on his writing exam.
“Joe! Why did you get such a bad grade? Seriously a D?”-you
“I know, I know, but I couldn’t study because I was having football practice really late and I was at an away game so I never got time to study.”-joe
“Well how about I help you!”-you
“Really? You want to tutor me?”-joe
“Only if you want me to, and if your grade keeps lowering you will get cut from the football team and i know you don’t want that.”-you
“Yeah I really don’t. But I think I will take you up on that offer!”-joe
“Great! You can text me when you are free and we can meet up sometime next week!”-you
“Sounds great! Thanks y/n, truly.”-joe
“Of course!”-you
I just stood there staring into joes eyes
“Um, well I’m going to head back out there.”-you
“Yeah, uh you know what I will go to!”-joe
“Really! I thought you weren’t a party kinda guy!”-you
“Well things change y/n!”-joe
“Well then let’s go party boy!”-you
I opened the door and Joe followed me out
“Let’s get you a drink! Not to much I promise!”-you
“Ok!”-joe
You get him a beer and hand it to him
“Here ya go!”-you

He pops the bottle open and he looks so hot
“So, uh how’s football going?”-you
He looks at me with a small smile
“It’s going good! I just wish I got more play time.”-joe
“I’ve seen you play Joe and you honestly deserve to be QB1.”-you
He gives me a smirk
“Seriously Joe! You are an amazing QB and deserve to be on a team were you can show people what you got.”-you
“Thanks y/n, that means a lot to me.”-joe
“Of course! Because it’s true.”-you
After a few moments of silence and joe and I just standing there watching the party happen our friends came over.
“Hey guys!”- Nick, Sam, Justin, and Ruby
“Hi!”-joe and you
“So any hooks ups?”-ruby
“No..”-you
“Ugh, what about you Joe? Anyone you think is hot?”-ruby
“Um..yeah but I don’t want to make a move just yet.”-joe
Joe likes someone? Who? I’ve never really seen him talk to a lot of girls.
“Why don’t you make a move? Perfect place to do so!”-ruby
“Well, I don’t think she likes me back and I want to take things slow. Get to know when better.”-joe
“Aww that’s so sweet but I would make a move if I were you, but your choice!”-Ruby
“Yo, why haven’t we heard about this girl?”-nick
“Um.. I don’t know.”-joe
“Well is she hot?”-justin
“Yeah I think she’s pretty gorgeous.”-joe
He then looked down at me. Why did he look down at me? But I gave him a small smile trying to hide my jealousy. I don’t want to be that person but I like Joe and it’s hard to see your crush like someone else.
“Damm man, good for you!”- Nick
“Thanks.”-joe chuckled

It was around midnight when the party ended and Ruby and I decided to help clean up. Well I cleaned up. Ruby was passed out on the couch on nicks shoulder.
I was picking up the cups in the kitchen and putting it in a garbage bag when Joe came up behind me.
“Hey.”-joe
I turned around
“Hi!”-you
“I just want to say thanks for helping us clean up and for getting me out of my room. It was a fun night so thanks.”-Joe
“Of course! And you needed to get out of that room. You know have some fun for a minute, and I know you aren’t a big party animal or love to be social so it was nice you came out of your shell QB.”-you
I smiled at him and he gave an even bigger smile back.
“Haha yeah.”-joe
I turned around to pick up some more cups. The counter was a little wet from spilled drinks and liquor was everywhere.
“What to come take out the trash with me?”-joe
“I would be delighted.”-you laughed
We walked out and into the front yard to the garage cans.
“Here I got it!”-joe
He grabbed the garbage out of my hands and into the garbage can.
“Thanks.”-you
“Yep!”-joe
We stared walking back into the house
“So uh, tell me about this girl you like.”-you
“Well, she is really smart, kind, funny, and really pretty. She makes me feel comfortable and happy whenever I see her. I feel like she just has to be mine.”-joe
“Aww that’s so sweet! You should make a move on her Joe!”-you
“Really?”-joe
“Yeah! I’m sure it will make her really happy knowing our very own QB is making a move.”-you
“Yeah, I guess you are right.”-Joe
Next thing I know Joe has my face cupped in his hands and he is kissing me. I couldn’t believe it. I thought he liked someone else.

so there are a few big chunks of story so far, fortunately one of my special interests is taxonomy and i have a fetish for project management [1].

basically two main eras:
- a youngish high school + summer camp setting [late teens/twenties]. most of the aesthetics here are from that part of the setting, which has a lot of ~magical stuff beyond the heart of camp.
and! an undead hospital drama, including Nurse Jim from the camp health centre.
most of the events concerning the aesthetics described in this paper [I'll lean into it, eh] take place at the summer camp through Nurse Jim's adventures leading camping trips with Mick.[5]
[5] tbh, that does kinda let me fold those two jobs into one - it seems pretty cromulent that the health centre would assign someone like Nurse Jim on long trips

i don't know if its just me but i think greenflame was at its highest in season 5. My memory is like kind of foggy because this stuff goes back all the way to when i was in elementary school (btw thats like bizzare to me that i was a fan of ninjago since ELEMENTARY SCHOOL like wow that show was airing for HOW LONG NOW) but im pretty sure when season 5 came out greenflame was starting to get big. I say this because when im looking back at the ship now on tumblr i see that there is lot of heat from people who shipped it vs the people who dispise it and it was from the years 2015-2017?? I think?? but i also heard that the debate was big in 2020-2021?? But that's what I collected based on what I saw but if Im wrong please correct me since I stopped being a fan in 2017 and i just recently started to get interest again.

holly black for real writes books like they’re mid movies from 2008 and it is sincerely one of the most beautiful and real things ever. the cruel prince trilogy excluded from this sentiment because i haven’t read and wouldn’t know if that’s its vibe. well that’s not true i read the cruel prince but NOT in the booktok way i read the first book when it came out when i was in high school and then i entered my illiteracy era and never read the next two. i have them, one’s even a signed copy i just haven’t had the time to get around to them and also i’m lowkey prejudiced against them because of their booktok popularity. those annoying ass people don’t even know my friends hazel and ben evans. who btw would have slayed in a low budget fantasy action comedy rated pg made in 2006 released direct to dvd with the ugliest and most captivating cgi you’ve ever seen in your life. starring some dude who was not famous at the time but became so in 2011 as the faerie prince. god i can see it now. actually to be fair this could never have been a film in 2006 because there’s gay people. if it was about two sisters tho instead of a sister and brother it would have. and nothing else about it would change and i would have watched it so many times i scratched the dvd. but well that is not the world we live in we live in the world where it’s just a book nobody has read but me by an author who’s popular for other stuff. and you know the worst part about the cruel prince getting booktok-ified? ben is literally in that book and i know none of those bitches even knew or cared. holly sets all her faerie stuff in the same universe (which is ambiguously also the same universe cassandra clare writes in. hard to explain the nuances to a fuckin newbie you had to be there) anyway. i was a holly black girl before it was cool. i was literally made fun of for reading her books and then suddenly in like 2020 faerie romance became “in” and frankly i’ve never felt more betrayed by the trend cycle as i was then. ok i was there in 2017 getting bullied by my older cousin for reading about gay faeries (lady midnight) when i was 15 and now adult women are allowed to log on to tiktok and talk about their literal fantasy porn series every day. is anything fair holy shit…
