You don't want charles to go to another team where he won't be the first driver. Remind me who is being given priority currently in Ferrari for better strategies? Who was gifted a Silverstone win last year while Charles was the one actually fighting for a championship?
You are saying Charles would not want to be in a team where he is not the priority of said team as if he has that right now in ferrari. This is his current situation. Except on top of being driver n.2 he also has a shit car that is not even suitable to his style of driving.
All I am saying is, would being second to Max in a good car be so much worse for him than being second to Carlos in a shit car?
this is a long one bc im passionate haha so under the cut!!
now i will admit that charles has been getting the short end of the stick when it comes to strategies– this year especially– but the team's incompetence is not carlos's fault. i say this all the time but i wish wish wish charles would fight for his own strategy more. beacause that's what carlos did in silverstone and what he continues to do in all his races. its what i appreciate about him as a driver-- is that he's so involved and sooooo annoying about all of it.
so if you think im gonna let that silverstone comment slide then you are incorrect. carlos was not gifted his silverstone win, that was him taking that race for himself– something charles would do if the positions were switched. and not nearly as many people would be mad if charles did what carlos did because its charles. (not just speaking about you but the general public haha). ferrari choosing to pit only carlos and not charles has nothing to do with carlos. what happened to charles and how that race ended was not ideal and in a perfect world charles would've also pitted for fresh tires and then this would've never been an issue. but ferrari is ferrari, we can't be surprised and we also can't blame carlos.
and i think you forget that fred has (without saying the words outright) named charles their no.1 driver. he said (and i remember so clearly bc it's a wound to my ego as a carlos fan) that he wants to win championships with charles and to work with carlos 😭 if that doesn't scream charles is no.1 then idk what does anymore. i think we can just agree that ferrari has just been a mess and can't seem to get together to be the team charles so desperately wants and needs. ferrari fails charles a lot. the car is also not great, and the developments and packages havent been working miracles like at mclaren. hopefully next year its better and charles can be back to fighting at the front of the pack.
so anyways to wrap this all up– i don't think being second to max would be bad but why should charles settle?? i dont think charles is the kind of driver that should ever be treated as a second driver. i think ultimately what needs to happen is ferrari just has to get it together and BE BETTER.
i could go on and on about this because ferrari is just soooooo grr sometimes but i dont wanna ramble on for ages. but if u wanna dm nonnie and discuss id love to poke your brain.

KAT'S 2022 YEAR REVIEW & THANK YOU NOTE
well hello there everyone. i'm not sure if this is still a thing this year because i haven't seen anyone doing this (or i just wasn't tagged in one at all sdjfkfkf) but that won't stop me from writing another year review and saying thank you to my wonderful internet friends!
at the end of last year i finally moved out of my parents house so i've been officially living alone for a whole year now and i'm proud to announce that i still live haha its not easy sometimes and it's hella expensive but i enjoy it nonetheless. i continued decorating and furnishing my apartment and it slowly but surely became my comfy little corner on this earth and im very proud of it :3
i know i said last year sucked and i was hoping for a better one in 2022 but boy oh boy was i wrong lmao
this year was shite. like utter shite. i didn't get a job that i enjoy doing or pays well BUT at least i still have a job lol the job sucks and sometimes i wanna jump out from the 3rd floor window but i managed to make wonderful friends among my colleagues so i'm definitely thankful for that. i only work there for 7 months but i already feel like we've known each for years and they definitely make working there bareable.
this year i also finally get to meet my bff (braincell for life), Ariana (@queenofthefaceless) in person and i am very much grateful for that. i'm sad no more meeting could happen in the rest of the year but maybe in the next one 😉❤
towards the end of the year i started working out again because i gained a little bit of weight and altough i became much more confident this year, it started to bother me so i'm proud of myself for not letting it slide and now i'm mostly focusing on getting my strength back i used to have instead of being the couch potato i was all year lol and one of my new years revolution for 2023 is to eat healthier and work out even more.
and yes i am still not over the fact that you guys putting out those wonderful fics for us for free. you still rock !! 💜💜
next year i will continue to hope for a better job, one that i enjoy and pays better (or at least one of these lol) and to be even more confident and open to new things ( and finding a rich husband 🙏)

you shifted around in your bed a little, hoping for chan to not notice you were awake, as you picked up your phone and checked in with the group chat. luckily, you were able to go completely unnoticed at first, but not so much when the concern of your friends brought a few giggles from you, as well as an-

you sat up and rubbed your eyes a bit to see chan sitting at your desk, phone in hand, smiling brightly at you.
“ah- yeah- you’re still here?”
“of course- i didn’t want you to wake up and need something and not be able to get it or anything.”
you laughed lightly. “my legs aren’t broken, chan, i’m just tired and hungover."
“still!” he pouted a bit. “i wanna be able to take care of you.”
you smiled at the comment and watched as he walked over, sitting at the edge of your bed.
“do you want anything? water? i can get us more food?” he reached his arms out. “we can cuddle again if you want.”
you didn’t want to admit it, but you enjoyed how caring and affectionate he was to you. he really had changed since highschool, and he really had proved it.
you opened your arms wide and he gleefully climbed onto your bed, wrapping his arms around your waist before laying down directly on top of you, making you giggle.
“chan wait- chan you’re heavy hold on-” you tried to speak in between laughs and short breaths.
“what do you mean i’m just like a weighted blanket!”
“YOU ARE LITERALLY DOUBLE THE WEIGHT OF A WEIGHTED BLANKET.”
he laughed before sliding himself off next to you, laying on his back. you turned to face him and scooted towards him until you could lay your head on his chest as he put his arm under your head. he turned his head toward you as you looked up, your noses just about touching, and you could feel your heart as it was about to explode out of your chest.
“do you wanna go back to sleep?” his voice was soft and you could feel yourself melting.
“yeah, i think so.”
“go ahead then, pretty.”
your heart skipped a beat at the pet name, butterflies in your stomach going haywire- wait. what??? there was no way- right?
“yn? you okay?”
you looked up at him again. “yeah- i’m okay. just sleepy.”
“you’re okay after last night?”
you sighed. “yeah, it sucked, but hey, i’m pretty used to it. i have pretty thick skin nowadays.”
you saw as he chewed the inside of his cheek, visibly unsure of how to respond until he whispered an,”i’m really sorry about that still.”
“it’s okay chan, seriously. i forgive you. we’re past it now, okay?”
he smiled, which turned into a small chuckle when he saw you yawn. “go back to sleep then. when we wake up again we can get dinner. how does that sound?”
you smiled back. “absolutely perfect.”
he tilted his head down a placed a chaste kiss on your forehead.
“sweet dreams then, yn.”
you felt your cheeks heating up, but chose to hide the fact by tilting your head down and snuggling further into chan’s warm body.

You frown, feeling pain beneath your toes due to the rough ground. “—NOW, will you tell me what’s going on?” you ask, facing the unattentive figure who continued to stare at your feet.
It was so noticeable.
“What, do you like feet-”
“-NO!” He interrupts, shooting his gaze in the opposite direction.
You feel a natural smile forming as you eyed the red color adorning his cheeks, biting back a giggle. “Not only do you carry random strangers, but you also like staring at people’s feet.”
“It’s not that-” he stubbornly says, refusing to meet eyes with you while he begins to remove his own shoes in front of you. “I forgot you were barefoot.” he groans.
His movements make you shut up quickly, going wide eyed. “What the fuck? Now you’re taking your own shoes off?” you force a disgusted face, already enjoying how easily you could make this person red.
He gestures for you to sit down onto the flat grass with his chin, causing you to hesitate, yet find yourself on the grass in seconds.
The stranger kneels in front of you, reaching for one of your legs while elegantly sliding a shoe inside your foot. He mirrored the same actions with your other leg, sighing.
“Here. Use this for the time being.”
“Oh.” you meekly say, wide eyed as you helplessly sat on the grass in silence. “Thank…you?” you awkwardly thank the other, the atmosphere growing tense.
He shifts himself to face the same direction you were, biting the insides of his cheek.
The two of you sit in silence for minutes, staring at the deep horizon from afar.
“..You passed out, didn’t you?” he eventually says, turning his gaze towards your flustered figure.
You nod, adjusting your position into a curled up ball. “I don’t remember. I don’t even know what I’m doing here.” you miserably say, a hint of sadness filling your tone.
His view remains stuck on you for a while, unable to find the right words to respond. “—This is a dream, y/n.” He finally confesses, quickly catching your attention. He props his two hands behind him while gazing at the sky, lips tugged into a smile. “Did you not realize?”
Your jaw drops in shock, then closes, but opens once more. “No?!” you snap, sounds of laughter escaping the other’s lips. “No wonder we’re in the middle of nowhere.” you sigh of relief.
“..Why do you think we are?” He asks, eyes locked with yours.
You soften your eyes with a shrug.
“It’s quiet, calm, and soothing.” he states, peacefully allowing himself to be pushed back with the wind. “Something to ease your mind while you sleep.” he chuckles.
“Then..”
“Hm?”
You turn to him.
“Why are you here?”

Kait may I ask you something?
I recently came to have PayPal and stuff. And I honestly would love to start giving in commission to amazing artists out there!
The problem I have is just... How do I even do that-?
I don't wanna go up to someone talented and be like "Can you explain to me how this works first-" because I find that just too embarrassing;;
How does it even work with Paypal- I don't understand that system yet..
And how do I even ask someone? Of course, looking at their commission sheets but then what? Do I just send in a scene, a character of mine that I like to see with a fandom one?
I don't know who to ask, but since you also have a commission sheet... I was hoping you could explain some stuff to me T_T

Hello! I'll explain how to do commissions if you ever want to start up doing them and then I'll explain how to ask someone!
Alright, if you're going to start doing commissions for digital content, I can grab you a guide [right here]. Most of the guides you'll find here are listed for digital art but it's the same thing since you'll be emailing your product once you write up the invoice. Just change the word to writing in your head to help you out here. Invoices are for not only the protection of the seller but for the customer as well. So, my first tip is to learn about invoices and how you will use them through PayPal.
You need to have your actual bank account hooked to your PayPal to use invoices and write them out. As well as being able to use some of the crucial features. You can't accept money that comes in through it if it's not hooked to a bank. So, if you don't have a bank account, you are out of luck on that front and it could put you into an area where it becomes a bit riskier since there's no protection for you or the buyer.
So, start researching those things! If you're super confused about the way currency words on PayPal, how to convert money from one kind to another, or stuff like that? Just DM my Discord and I'll try my best to explain that stuff more in detail, haha! I don't mind.
As far as making a commission sheet? That's going to be up to you as a writer/artist. Many people will price out their stuff by the word for writing, like $0.50 per word, some people price their writing by hours spent, and some have a base value per word minimum. If you look at my sheet, you'll notice that I have a sliding scale of $5USD. When I'm writing something, I use a base value of 500 words and every time I'll go up 500 words, I'll charge $5 more dollars.
Hence my scale being:
500 - $5
1000 - $10
1500 - $15
2000 - $20
So, my best advice to you is to think about what scale you want to try out. Do you feel comfortable using a set price or would you prefer to do the math per word? I struggle with calculation so going with a rate that has a number I can use in my head allows me to feel like I've got a solid price range. Don't undersell your work, but don't force yourself to feel uncomfortable with the rate. Start smaller at first so you have a place to work towards.
How much are you willing to write for people? Do you have a set amount of words you'll write for [I.E. I stop at 2000 words]? Are you willing to negotiate the price if you don't have a set amount? There's a lot to think about. My best advice is to look at how other people price a lot of their work and use that to help yourself understand what you want to start off with.
NOW THAT I'VE BABBLED ABOUT THAT!
Literally, there's no right or wrong way to ask someone you want to pay them for something. I'll give you an example off of mine so you have an idea.
Okay. Let's see... You want [Fandom] + [Characters] + [word count]]. So, let's say, "Hi! I was wondering if I could commission you?" See if the creator is open. "Okay, can I have a Mystic Messenger themed story? I had this idea about SE Saeran and MC [or your MC if they're willing to write that], I think I want it to be 1000 words!" The creator will talk to you and hash out the details. Because let's say you told me that—
"I want SE Saeran and MC to have a date night. I think they should have ice cream and talk about this movie I love!" Okay, I would tell you that I can work with that, and what I think the word count might be, since sometimes it can run over or under the base amounts that I use. If you said 1000 words for that, and I wrote 1100, I would charge you $11 instead of $10. Just the luck of the draw.
Honestly? Just reach out to the creator you want to work with and let them talk to you about what to do. They can help you figure out what you need and how to do it. They'll send you an invoice so you can get them the money once they finish it! Sometimes they want you to pay upfront, and sometimes you pay afterward. It just depends! I let my commissioners pay after I finish. Sorry if this is messy, but most of the people I work with differ on how they handle things.
