"Naranya, laimun, azzaytuna". Inspired in our andalusian legacy. Those in the title are the arabic words where spanish naranja (orange), limón (lemon) and aceituna (olive) come from. These dry farming trees are fundamental in our culture and gastronomy: adequate to our climate, delicious and full of medicinal properties. It also features a tartessian star.
All repurposed fabrics.

It was a hot summers day at my place yesterday but is still sat and stitched the binding on my Easter Egg Hunt quilt. I finished the quilting the day before and added the binding. I just have to attach a tail and make a label and it will be done. There was some discussion amongst the whanau as to weather this quilt would be finished by Easter. With just two things left to do on it I think I will meet the deadline.

I finally got around to washing my rainbow triangle quilt and putting it on my bed!

I did not pick pink for my walls but half the rooms I’ve had in my life have been pink#maybe I want orange walls#maybe yellow? maybe green

Made myself a wooden frame for this piece tonight. Love the way it looks wrapped around the frame. I used a computerized quilting design by Karlee Porter for this one and there is so much quilty detail to delight the eye!

An old patchwork quilt used as a tablecloth... is set next to a much less formal nineteenth-century bamboo chair with a chintz squab. The carved Chippendale eagle surrounding the painting adds a dramatic note to the otherwise sedate and gentle space.
