The half square triangles are sewn together! Obviously I still need to press most of them lol. Next will be deciding about borders and adding those on.

I finally got around to washing my rainbow triangle quilt and putting it on my bed!

I finally finished this and am in love with all the vibrant colors!

Quilt finish three! Another modified Postcard From Sweden, using patterned fabrics and somewhat brighter colors on the whole. This one's so big I had to get J to hold it for pictures. But I did pretty simple quilting on it and used a thinner batting than usual so I didn't even need to drag my sewing machine down to the kitchen table.

Fucking love my day off. I slept in, I went to yin yoga for an hour, I took a shower and put on a dress (it was all of 50F here but SUNNY for the first time in weeks!!!) and drove over to my friend’s town to get croissants and lattes with her which we ate sitting in the park. Then I came home and called my mother in law and listened to her talk for like 30 mins (she’s lovely no complaints here) while I sewed. I ended up piecing almost 50% of my quilt top this afternoon! Then I did some mild life admin stuff in the afternoon (accounting, work email, desk clean) and now we are eating leftover Indian food and watching ep 6 of The Three Body Problem under the heated blanket. This rules. Everyone on earth should have a four day (or less) week.

Here’s the quilt top. Dont look too closely at the corners it’s a mess but it will be a very nice cozy quilt anyway!!

Triangles!!! Aaaa

All the squares are assembled! And I somehow cut so many triangles I can make the quilt one column wider? So weird. Now I’m working on pressing and trimming…my chances of finishing this quilt top before we move seem uh. Slim. But I couldn’t stop thinking about it in bed last night so I got up early and have been working on it for about 5 hours now. I do need to stop and go to the pharmacy soon but…one more square.

Okay I need to clean the living room so I actually have enough clear floor space to take a good picture, but the rainbow triangles (aka Postcards from Sweden) quilt is done!!!

I love it so much, I can’t wait for it to get cold enough to actually use it

Back to working on my quilt. I was really worried that my hsts were so squeegee I couldn’t possibly put them together square but so far my corners are not actually that bad!!

Posting to motivate myself: borders, backing, and binding for the quilt! Maybe I will try to at least cut out the borders tomorrow.

I’ve cut roughly a third of the triangles. Just replaced my rotary cutter blade and omg, what a change. So much easier to cut now. I’m going to put this project away for the week but I’ll get back to it after the exam!

I think I hit my breaking point on studying alone because today I was struck with madness and started cutting out squares for another quilt. Definitely need to get out more.
