Progress photos for the applique quilt im working on. Im almost positive I've chosen the second worst assembly strategy possible. Right now the whole thing is just incredibly pointy and takes up my entire floor. Technique is -3 out of 10, dont recommend if you enjoy having floor space and not worrying about getting pins in the bottom of your foot

FINISHED ANOTHER QUILT for my dear friend @splickedylit !
it’s a stash buster quilt, where i took all my loose and scrap fabrics plus unused remnants of charm packs and cut 3-4 squares of as much as i could, then arranged them in a fun gradient and just started piecing them together. turned out great! i’ve settled on a simple ad hoc rolled binding where the edges are just folded in twice and topstitched with a straight and then a zig-zag stitch, which looks sloppy but in a cute way.

The baby quilt top is done! Well. Mostly done, I need to trim the edges, but close!
#sewing#quilting wip#it’s Just Get It Done Quilts’ Stashbuster 8#adapted to use 24 jellyroll strips because that’s what I had#it doesn’t lie flat because I did not take the time to iron it correctly#I went with the easy way instead of the right way#which was an avoidable mistake but ehhhhh#the blanket won’t lie perfectly flat but it’s a blanket#they usually aren’t perfectly flat anyway
