20 questions for fic writers!
this kind of stuff is super neat to read from others and share and talk about sooo thank u so much for the tag @sugareey-makes-stuff!!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
On its face, 40, but 5 are co-creator tags because i illustrated them, 3 of them are art for the steter bang independently posted separate from their fics, 1 was gift art for the steter vday exchange, and 1 is a 60k+ roleplay that i only wrote like half of haha. so its actually 30-31
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
365,587 but again, not all my words. Without the 8 fics mentioned up top, its at 250,197 total. the fic i co wrote is 69,599. Without any of that, my total is 180,598. if i only cut half out, its at 215,397 which is. still pretty good i guess???
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Published, I have fics for Voltron Legendary Defender, Teen Wolf, Danny Phantom, and Sk8 the Infinity. I pretty much only write for Teen Wolf right now. I have WIPs and ideas for DC, Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, and of course Danny Phantom.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Grandma, What a Big Dick You Have! (the better to fuck you with my dear) (Sterek, WC 5,644, one shot, Rated E)
Churn My (Peanut) Butter (Steter, WC 3,074, one shot, Rated E)
A Collision of Interest is Inevitable  (This is that role-play) (PompousPep, WC 69,599, part 1 of ?, Rated M)
Why (not) Me? (Sterek, WC 6,496, one shot, Rated M)
Now Hiring (Sterek, WC 5,724, part 1 of WIP series that's currently 4 parts. Rated E)
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I do my very best to meet my commenters however they meet me. If they just drop some emojis, i drop some back. If they give me a long, thought out comment, I give them one back. Etc etc.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
This question and 7 are both hard because I pretty much exclusively write happy endings. A Snap, a Shudder, and a Home probably has the least upward lifting ending? It's not sad or angsty, but it speaks to unresolved tensions. The problem isn't over, even if they have a taste of peace. (Sterek, WC 1,669, one shot, Rated T)
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
They all have happy endings! ARGH! The most outwardly enduringly positive fic I've written, however, is probably:
Daisies and Daffodils (You Make Me Smile) (Sterek, WC 3,864, one shot, Rated T) I was just in such a smiley, indulgent mood the entire time I wrote it, and it still makes me warm and smiley about it now.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
Not technically, though I have gotten two particularly unpleasant comments. One was on a Sterek fanfic trope challenge fic, for the prompt "Forced Proximity". Stiles and Derek get put into a '7 minutes of heaven' sort of situation by Lydia and one commenter was SO MAD that I didn't tag the fic as RAPE/NONCON ????? They also lectured me about being sexist and having double standards because it wouldn't be okay if Sterek were Women, which was just all sorts of yikes. (WC 2,912, Rated M, link here.) The other time I got a negative comment was actually on my most recently posted WIP Under My Skin, which is a Stackson fic. The hatefulness wasn't directed at the fic itself, but it WAS targeted at one of the main protagonists of the fic, as if implying I would be "punishing" said character for his "crimes" which were Being Human and Struggling. It made me super, SUPER uncomfortable and I ended up leaving the thread on read because I just got so unhappy every time I read the comment that I decided it wasn't worth even trying to explain myself. (WC 55,613, chapter 18/?, Rated E, noncon warning)
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Haha.... normally I would say that's literally most of what I write, but I have a surprising number of lengthier non-smutty fics than I realized. I also legitimately have a Just Porn fic series, though, and I've written some pretty horny stuff in general. (Sterek+ others, WC 23,152, Rated E, parts 4/?)
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
I haven't, but I'm not opposed to doing one? I tend to prefer crossovers that are more, characters from X in setting from Y than, like, main characters interacting? But I have read a good few crossovers lately that have made me much more open TO writing a crossover in the future.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Thankfully not, yikes
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Naw, but I'd be open to it! I have blanket permissions for a lot of stuff right on my ao3 profile. (:
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Yeah :,^)
14. What’s your all time favourite ship?
If you'd asked me this like 5 years ago I would have said Drarry. I HAVE answered this question with Drarry many times. I think, at this point in time, however, it is shifting. It very well may be Sterek. Drarry has absolutely shaped a huge amount of how I create, how I write, what i read, etc. though so it would be inappropriate to say it held no influence over me.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I think it's entirely possible i will never finish the TBHK Wondering Prince fic I started. It's somewhere between traditional fairy tale, medieval fantasy, and the witcher, with a good bit of TBHK's whimsical supernaturality.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I tend to do well with dialogue IMO, as well as general world building, both fantastical and mundane lol
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
plot. The actual beats of the story. I have wonderful, grand ideas on what a story should be! I even have thoughts on the conflicts, major stepping points, etc, but MAN do i get tripped up on the actual getting from point a to point b thematicall.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
*wiggly hand gesture* I think if it is a language you speak, and it is only occasional words or a line or two, it makes sense to use the other language, but in every spoken situation in visual media, you would get subtitles explaining what was being said if it went on longer than that. If the audience doesn't speak the language and they have to go to the end of the chapter/fic/etc to translate it, that can be enough for them to just gloss over and not even read it. Or, if you don't speak that language at all and you use google translate? you might have written something very different from your intent that people who DO speak it catch and get tripped up by. I think it's better to just, say that the character is speaking in another language and translate it in text for your readers.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
teeeeeeeeeechnically homestuck? for 'posted on ao3'?? But also, I've lowkey been writing fanfic adjacent works since i was like 6, but i don't rly wanna count that LOL
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
This bitch is my baaaaaaaaby. Stackson, WC 55,613, Chapters 18/?. https://archiveofourown.org/works/48834448 Currently a WIP but with a deadline, so it WILL be finished! This is probably the fic that got me REALLY into writing fic on my own though. https://archiveofourown.org/works/29829636 It really brought me back to my love of writing and was the first finished work in a long ass time. I also think it's really funny and a great example of what I can do when I apply myself. (PompousPep, WC 4,545, 2 chapters, Rated M.)

Summary: What if instead of Allura and Lotor becoming close it was Keith and Lotor? What if Keith had fallen in love with Lotor instead? What if his betrayal had broken him?
“You liar!” Keith screamed. His voice boomed, tears in his eyes as he walked towards Lotor.
Lance moved to stop him, placing a hand on Keith’s shoulder before Keith shoved it off, turning to stare at him slightly, his eyes threatening, “Try and stop me.”
“Keith, you misunderstand! I did it to save my people. Please, Keith I love you,” Lotor exclaims, as Keith slaps him.
“I hate you! I hate you!” Keith exclaims as he starts saying things in ancient galran, unable to be understood by anybody but himself and Lotor. And Allura who stood by Romelle.
As Keith let out various clicking and other noises, Lotor’s eyes widened. He looked hurt. Wounded. Whatever Keith said had hurt him. Even Allura looked horrified at the words he was saying.
Keith grabbed Lotor’s wrist, pulling him close as he whispered, “You made me love you, you monster. I hate you.”
Lotor let out a pained whimper, “Keith, it was for my people! I had to save them!”
Keith stares at him, “You killed them. You are a cold-blooded murderer with no love for anybody but yourself. You didn’t love your people, and you certainly don’t love me.”
He paces, turning around as he grips his head. The team stares at him and Lotor in horror, unsure of what to even say.
Lotor pleads, “Keith, please! You trust me, do you not? I would not do such a thing. Believe me please. I love you.”
Keith whips around, staring at Lotor before he starts hysterically laughing. Tears are streaming down his face as he laughs and laughs.
He finally says, “You love me? You seriously love me?”
He laughs again, “That’s the most idiotic thing you’ve said. You don’t love me, you don’t care for me. I was just a pawn in your game. You killed people, Lotor.”
“I killed for you! I wanted a better future for you, for us! A place we could live together, start a family, be happy!” Lotor yelled, “Trust me, please!”
Keith walked over, picking him up as he threw him at the door. Lotor fell with a sickening crack, blood pooling underneath his head. Keith stared at him, tears streaming down his face.
“Keith, man, are you-?” Lance started to ask before Keith walked closer to Lotor, kneeling down as he said, “I am going to fucking kill him.”
Lotor’s eyes opened wearily as Keith smiled, “Don’t worry, darling, I’m going to make you feel as much pain as you caused those poor people to go through. And when I’m done toying with you, I’ll leave you to die.”
Keith grinned as he stood up, kicking Lotor in the face as he passed out.
“I’m going to find Shiro,” Keith said, running out of the room.
Lance asked, “Allura, what did he say to Lotor?”
Allura whispered, “He told him he was going to kill Lotor, Lotor’s generals, and then go and hunt down everybody who helped Lotor. He called Lotor a cheap, weaker, and disgusting imitation of his father. He told him no wonder Zarkon didn’t love him because he was just a weak little halfblood.”
Lance’s eyes widened as he heard a loud bang.
He walked out to see Keith standing there, Shiro’s body on the ground. His metal arm was ripped off his shoulder.
The worst part was Keith didn’t even have a weapon. Keith turned to look at them, his eyes wide with tears.
“My boyfriend betrays me, my brother betrays me, what’s next?” Keith whispers.
He falls to his knees, sobbing as he lets out a heart-breaking scream that shook the castle. He sobbed and sobbed.
After that day, Keith was never the same. Something in him was broken the day Lotor betrayed him. One day he vanished. Team Voltron couldn’t find him for years until they found him on a planet, some galran soldier dead at his feet.
“Keith, oh my god, you’re alive!” Shiro cried, “Where have you been?!”
Keith’s head snapped up towards them. It had blood staining it, deep eyebags and scars covering it as he smiled.
“Keith, where have you been?” Shiro asked again, his voice hesitant as he stared at his brother.
Keith replied with a smile, “I was making good on my promise. I couldn’t let my darling down, could I?”
Shiro stared at him in horror.

In his 2002 State of the Union address, President George W. Bush warned that the United States needed to confront a new “axis of evil” threatening the world—a turn of phrase that would come to define Bush’s controversial foreign-policy legacy and years of costly quagmires in the Middle East.
If you thought Washington was past all that, think again.
More than two decades later, the axis of evil is back on the menu. The phrase, and others like it, have again burrowed into the Washington zeitgeist to describe what some believe is a growing alliance between China, Russia, Iran, and North Korea.
“We have to always remember [that] a win for Russia is a win for China. And we can never let that axis of evil gather any more momentum,” former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley said in late August on her Republican presidential primary campaign. “There’s an axis of evil in the world: China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran,” Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell similarly warned in a CBS News interview in October. “And we need to stand up to the axis of evil, not try to do business with them.”
“Axis of evil” is a phrase that harkens back to an era of badly misguided optimism about American power abroad—and the badly mishandled wars that followed. The fact that it has come back could be a harbinger of what U.S. foreign policy will look like in the coming years.
Both Republicans and Democrats in Washington warn of the increasing links between Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea. Russia is leaning on Iranian and North Korean arms shipments to supply its war in Ukraine, and the United States and its allies are anxiously eyeing any military or economic lifelines Beijing could throw Moscow’s way to prolong the war. Russia’s support for Iran, meanwhile, has positive knock-on effects for militant groups like Hamas and Hezbollah that are viewed as Iranian proxies in the fight against Israel, and Russia appears to be using the ongoing Israel-Hamas war to try to burnish its own credentials in the global south.
President Joe Biden has tied U.S. support for Israel and Ukraine together in his pitch to Congress for more national security funds, framing both conflicts as part of a global fight to defend democracy. And many in Washington, rightly or wrongly, argue that a Russian victory in Ukraine would embolden China to invade Taiwan. Many in Washington view these rivalries as deeply interconnected—even if they are not banging the axis drum.
“I think it’s important to be clear who our adversaries are,” Jeanne Shaheen, a Democratic foreign-policy heavyweight in the Senate, told Foreign Policy in a recent interview. “We need to understand who is trying to undermine the United States, who is trying to undermine democracies around the world. And it is China, Iran, Russia, and North Korea.”
There isn’t apparently a single instance of Biden or top administration officials using the phrase, but that doesn’t mean it’s not catching on. On the Republican side, McConnell and Sens. Tim Scott and Marsha Blackburn, as well as Rep. Cory Mills, have all tossed the term around, while on the other side of the aisle, one of the most influential and longest-serving Democrats in the House, Rep. Steny Hoyer, has adopted it.
Not everyone’s on board, however. Some experts bristle at the idea of lumping these four disparate powers together, wary that it could lead to a new generation of U.S. foreign-policy debacles and mishaps. “There are a lot of differences in the overall strategic goals of these countries,” said Matt Duss, executive vice president of the Center for International Policy. “It’s not ultimately going to be productive to just group them all together and go at them as if they’re an anti-U.S. Voltron.”
They are all nuclear powers, or soon will be. They all create mayhem in their neighborhoods. But the security challenges posed by Russia, currently at war in Europe, or China, which has set its sights on conquering Taiwan in the indeterminate future, are different from those posed by Iran and North Korea.
“Each of these countries needs to be treated in its own right,” said Comfort Ero, president and CEO of the International Crisis Group think tank.
Unlike Washington’s network of alliances abroad, which run deep on interconnected economies, militaries, values, and other links, the alliances between these four U.S. adversaries are more alliances of convenience, Ero and other experts and Western diplomats argue. These alliances of convenience, furthermore, are laced with mutual suspicion and distrust, and they are more fragile than those in the axis of evil camp seem to suggest.
China, North Korea’s main benefactor, views it as a key buffer state between Washington and its allies in the Asia-Pacific, namely South Korea. But according to several senior Western and East Asian officials, China is growing uneasy about how North Korea is deepening its ties with Russia, lest that reduce the leverage Beijing has over Pyongyang or further exacerbate tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
Iranian power brokers are split over how their country has deepened its ties with Russia, and Tehran still views Moscow with suspicion even as they expand military ties, according to regional experts. China may look to deepen its relationship with Russia, but only in ways that benefit Beijing’s economic and political interests, not out of any affinity or loyalty toward Moscow, as recent talks on energy cooperation between the two powers show. This axis wobbles.
It may be “a convenient shorthand, but it’s not convenient in terms of shaping policy,” Ero said. “I think there’s a danger in putting them all into one basket and with a master stroke assuming you can have just one policy on all of them as well.”
Foreign-policy hawks have been testing phrases, portmanteaus, and acronyms to describe threats to the West in recent years. Former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence tried out “wolf pack of rogue states” for a brief period in 2019 when he was working to burnish his foreign-policy credentials. Earlier this month at the Halifax International Security Forum, an annual gathering of hundreds of top foreign-policy officials and experts from democratic countries, some began using the acronym CRINK—China, Russia, Iran, North Korea—to describe these Western rivals, in a nod to the BRICS bloc of countries. But recycling is easier than inventing something new.
If this rhetorical game previews a new era in U.S. foreign policy—depending in part on who wins the 2024 presidential election—some foreign dignitaries warn there could be some real-world consequences for Washington trying to revive an era of “good versus evil” in global politics.
Multiple foreign diplomats at Halifax voiced concern, saying the trend could drive middle powers and countries in the so-called global south away from the United States; many, like India and South Africa, have deep economic and military relationships with both China and Russia.
Top Biden administration officials have repeatedly stressed they don’t want to force countries in Africa, Latin America, or elsewhere to choose between the United States and China, wary of driving potential partners away. But explicitly lumping China into an axis of evil may, in the end, have the same effect.
Even dignitaries from some of Washington’s closest partners are voicing concern at lumping China into the same pool as Russia, Iran, and North Korea. Top Ukrainian officials have been cautious not to derail ties with China even as Kyiv’s primary backers in the West gear up for a new cold war against Beijing, lest it push China to ramp up support for Russia in the ongoing war.
“I hate the idea [of] put[ting] China in the list of nations with the evil axis,” Petro Poroshenko, the former president of Ukraine, told Foreign Policy on the sidelines of the Halifax forum. “I mean Russia, Iran, North Korea, maybe Belarus, but definitely not China. Let’s not put it together that way, because that would be the biggest mistake,” he said.
“I still keep my fingers crossed that China’s influence can help de-escalate the situation,” he said, adding that he had “very positive experiences cooperating with China and President Xi [Jinping].”
Bush said that countries were either with America or against it. It’s actually more complicated than that, and, experts widely agree, global politics in general is vastly more complicated than it was in 2001 or 2002, when the United States stood as the lone and unchallenged world superpower.
The West “needs to acknowledge that sometimes what we see as major global problems don’t resonate the same way in other parts of the world,” said Sarah Margon, director of foreign policy at the Open Society Foundations.
“‘Axis of Evil’ is a great title for an article, but when it becomes the driver of policy, it makes it really difficult for countries in the middle, because they feel like they have to choose a side, and that’s just not how international politics will work in the world today,” she said.

There's something that's been on my mind about the fandom scene, that's kinda bugged me for about as long as I started taking tumblr more seriously for posting art and taking part in fanzines, bangs, gift exchanges etc. quite a few years ago now. Sometimes in fandoms that are older than Gen Z, (which in the majority of these fanbases, people would at least be in their late 20's, usually the majority are in their 30's and 40's) there's a lot of resentment to younger fans, particularly the Gen Z's. Now I'm not saying, with Gen Z, there aren't problems specific to our generation when it comes to fandoms; however from what I've observed, (this might be in the older fandoms that I'm specifically in) a lot of the issues come from the original fanbase themselves and Gen Z's are just the scapegoats to blame, instead of actually fixing the fanbase those issues, which I find come from rigidity to keeping the fandom the same way it was 20, 30, 40 years ago.
Sometimes older fandoms do feel gatekept by older members, which is a shame, because more fans, means more exposure, more content, more creativity, more joy. I've definitely felt talked down to and know others have, just for giving an opinion or suggesting something, like a headcanon, often with good natured intentions to bounce around ideas and as prompts, just because it doesn't fit what the fandom olds have decided to be canon (which isn't always canon/word of God or act like they personally are the director/writer/mangaka etc's mouth pieces delivering upon us, the holy gospel). If you're older than me, I don't need you to take me under your wing to teach me what's right and wrong for a fictional piece of work, just because one generation decided it's one way and another likes another way better. You aren't my parents, so please don't talk to me in a strict tone like you're correcting my bad behaviour; it's personally insulting and infantalising. In fact, I believe this phenomena is so common, the term 'fandom mom' was coined because this happens a lot.
I've heard a lot of older people in some fandoms blame Gen Z for ruining things, but a lot of the things that I've heard them being accused of, I see the older members fight with each other on, such as rules established by the older generations themselves like "If you don't like X ship, character, franchise, tropes etc, move on to what you do like and don't stay around to hate on X thing". It just comes off as hypocritical to me if you're going to instruct young people on established fandom ettiqute, but break them yourself and make excuses for other fandom olds when they do something wrong, but would crucify a younger person for doing the same thing.
Another thing I've seen, is envy towards the talent of Gen Z, especially when it comes to their fanart and fanfic output and the technology available to them with digital fanart. I understand wishing that you had that technology when you was younger and more energy and time now to contribute to these fandoms, as you're in a different stage of life to most Gen Z's, but it's not our faults that we're the ones that exist in the time for technology to be really good to create art with. I've seen this cause a divide between older and younger fans, by older ones trying to keep up the younger ones, to an obsessional level and half the time, we're not even seeing it as some competition, we do it for fun.
I keep seeing younger fandoms such as My Hero Academia, Miraculous Ladybug and Steven Universe, as well as rebooted/alternate versions of older fandoms like My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and Voltron: Legendary Defender, be used to justify treating Gen Z fans a certain way and projecting this image that every Gen Z is this frothing, cringy mess of a person who will rip others to shreds. While some people are like this, I think it's unfair to say the majority are, especially when comparing it to older fandoms or the original version's older fanbase, since the young people in those fandoms will eventually grow up and mature over time. You can't judge people who are mostly in their teenage years, as if they'll all be like that forever, especially not when I've seen some people pushing 40, say and do a lot worse over fandom.
The fandoms especially where the original source material is old, but still around and continuously aimed at children, just to name a few that I personally still enjoy, such as My Little Pony, Transformers, Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Kingdom Hearts etc. I don't understand when the older generations of fans get so possessive of keeping it gatekept from Gen Z, to the point they forget first and foremost, that it isn't even aimed at older people anymore, but children. If a lot of these kind of franchises were going to age up in accordance with the original fanbase, then they would have in the majority of their future installments; I could then understand this hold to gatekeep a little bit more. But a lot of them haven't and the companies making and selling them, still want to primarily focus on being marketed towards kids, but just of a new generation. No one's stopping older fans from liking older franchises aimed at kids, which they grew up with, but please let kids have things that are aimed at them and more than likely always will be, without this struggle to keep it just as it was when you were younger. You can dislike the direction something is going in, criticise it and prefer an older version, but you can't expect it to cater to you as an adult.
At a certain point, you have to accept that things change over time, including fandom. Demographics will naturally change, as more younger people come in and will eventually become the majority and fandom olds get older, eventually becoming the minority. With this change, generally, Gen Z are not trying to pry fandom out of your hands; we're just trying to co-exist and like the same things older fans do. Generally, we're not trying to antagonise older fans, by having a different opinion or different way of doing things. The Simpsons puts it best, "I used to be with it, but then they changed what it was. Now what I'm with, isn't it and what's it seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you". It's ok to feel out of your depth with younger people, who seem better at something than you with more charisma, energy, time, followed and engagement with their socials, but please don't project that on us as if we're undeserving or we're doing something wrong. I don't want to feel like any time I draw, it's a competition, I just do it for fun. I don't want me giving an idea, to be shot down, because you don't want to think of something in a different way. I just want to share inter-generationally the things I like and interact with like-minded individuals, but only if they're not going to do these things that I've grown weary of seeing and personally experienced.

East of Eden
author: venpast artists: fawnmisty & astereli ship:  -Keith/Lance
rating: T
warnings: No Archive Warnings
summary:
“You’ve always bitched about how unfashionable it was to date me. I’m only returning the favor.”
With a chuckle, Lance walked forward, “You grew out the mullet, and I fell in love. It’s simple math, pretty boy.”
Keith leant forward from his position and latched onto Lance’s wrist, tugging him downward, their helmets clicking together. “Let’s go, Romeo. Your charm isn’t going to get us anywhere on time.”
“Shame,” Lance hummed, letting his form slide in behind Keith, the outlines of their bodies locking together at every joint and cotton crease; he let his chin fall onto Keith’s shoulder, “I always liked going nowhere fast.”
(In which Keith takes Lance to an aquarium, just to see his blue-lit smile, and Lance builds him a hoverbike just to see him fly again.)

My pieces for the lovely @closetgeekasaurus ‘s Voltron General Bang fic. Thank you so much once again for welcoming me into yours and @ladymac111-draws partnership - it truly means the world. And thank you for becoming a wonderful friend :3
(link will be here once available and you should definitely read it! It’s amazing. Just be sure to read the tags in case of triggering content <3)
Snippets of the fic for the images under the cut :3
1)  Lance climbs off the bed and sits next to Keith on the floor. “Are you ok with me touching you?” The words are quiet but Pidge catches them. She stands awkwardly, wrapping her fingers around the opposite wrist and twisting. She wants to support Keith, but she’s unsure of what to do. Should she sit next to him like Lance, or should she just leave? It's obvious he gets touch sensitive when he freaks out, since Lance is asking for permission instead of just assuming, but how is he reacting to Pidge's prescense as well? Keith nods in response to Lance’s question, even leans in a bit closer to him so that their shoulders are touching. The blue paladin grabs the blanket from Keith’s lap and drapes it over the two of them, murmuring to him all the while. Pidge can’t hear the words this time, but she’s sure they’re something reassuring based simply off Lance’s tone. She feels useless, but she knows this isn't about her. It's about Keith, and making sure he's okay.“Um.” She clears her throat and the two boys look up at her. “Do… you want me to stay, or…?” Keith nods again and reaches a hand out towards her, beckoning. She drops to her knees first, scoots closer before sitting properly. None of them are sure how long the three of them sit there, only that it takes quite a while before Keith is mildly calm again.
2)  He sighs and lets himself lie back down, staring at the ceiling while he tries to think of a strategy. His injuries pulse with unpleasantness, which makes for quite a distraction. It’s commandeers so much of his attention that he almost doesn’t hear the footsteps coming down the corridor, not until they’re almost in front of his cell.

When Takashi, son of the Shirogane Household and knight of the Garrison Royal Guard, went missing on a quest, everyone thought him dead. Everyone, that is, except his little brother, Keith. Losing his position as a knight in the Garrison Royal Guard in the process, he swore to find him and get him back, no matter what it took. He didn't expect that that would result in accidentally awakening an ancient lion goddess that's looking for her ‘paladin’ and striking a deal with her. But hey, when life gives you lemons…
OR The fantasy AU in which Keith is looking for his brother, Blue is looking for her paladin, and they just might be able to help each other out.
I posted this on AO3 last night when I was half asleep and today I was traveling back home so I didn’t get to post the link here until now
So this is my fic for the @voltronbang ! The art for this was done by @acequeenm and @mothable, two amazing people and talented artists! You can see said art here, here, here and here.
I’m really excited for this fic, but I  decided to post the chapters once a week. The next few weeks are going to be a bit of a mess what with getting ready for school, being away, not having a solid wifi connection etc. so I won’t set a given date for now and instead wait to see how my schedule will play out to do so.
Feel free to drop a comment to tell me what you guys think about it, I can’t wait to read your opinions!
