you sat yourself down at the emirates stadium next to vlada, alex's wife. today will be the first time emile debuts as arsenal's new number ten, and you are the first person to get the brand new smith rowe kits with the number 10 under it.
"how are you feeling now that ems is number ten?" vlada asks, noticing you were wearing emile's new black away kit. you decided to wear the away kit today for fun, also because it's your favorite one. emile had always said you look the best in black, so that's another plus point.
"proud. that's the only word." you shrug, smiling to yourself. the music pauses, indicating that the match is about to kick off. from the tunnel, you see the referees make their entrance onto the pitch, followed by the arsenal boys and their opponents as they line up before you.
you want to send emile a harmless wave, but you think that it'll only distract him from the game that could determine whether arsenal stay at the top of the table or not. "just wave, kiddo." vlada nudges, waving at alex as he sends vlada a wave back.
emile notices your hesitation from the pitch and takes it upon himself to wave and blow a kiss at you, so you wave back at him and show him the heart sign. emile meekly drops his head and grins to himself, shuffling from his left leg to his right, and that gave you butterflies in your stomach. you can feel your cheeks flush up red. you'd always loved when emile gets shy at your littlest attempt of showing affection.
he and the squad gather to the side of the pitch for their photo before dispersing for a quick warm-up. emile and alex walk over to mikel when he calls them over to run through set-pieces minutes before the game commences. emile is very difficult to resist, you have realised, so you would always catch yourself staring at him intently for a long period of time. seconds before you notice you'd been staring, emile looks up from the piece of paper mikel was holding towards your direction, sending you a cheeky grin. you could almost hear him chuckle softly to himself when you catch yourself staring.
"emile. understand the plan?" mikel looks up from his piece of paper to catch emile staring elsewhere, before turning to look at the direction of his eyes. "or are you just gonna keep staring at your girl the entire game?"
emile finally brings his head down, embarrassed that he was caught by the gaffer. next to him, alex is laughing. "'mile, i know you love your girl, but do you want her to be disappointed at the fact that you can't stay at the top of the table?"
"sorry, boss. yes, i totally understand the gameplay." emile apologises with a straight face before running back onto the pitch, alex jogging up behind him.
"emile!" alex calls. "since it's so hard for you to keep your girlfriend out of your head, try playing for her. that's what i do all the time when i can't get v out of mine."
"i can't believe the gaffer caught me, man." emile rubs his face in shame.
"nothing to be shameful about, man, i get it. when you have a girlfriend as beautiful as yours, and a wife as beautiful as mine... you can't not want to look at her till you go blind," alex chuckles before backing up towards his position at the back. "let me know if it works at halftime, alright!"
and so emile did what alex had suggested. throughout the first half, all he could think about was the fact that you were here. you were sat at the emirates stadium, right behind the arsenal bench, watching him and nobody else. emile knew all you wanted was for him to be happy and to do what he loves. most importantly, what he wants to do is make you proud.
by halftime, emile had updated alex about his progress. "yeah, i realise. great chances you created for the other guys," alex mentions. "i'm telling you, it works!"
and by the time the second half commences, emile is determined to get the ball to the back of the net. he wants to turn to look at you and dedicate that goal to you. and so he did. every chance his teammates have created for him, he shoots. until the 85th minute. the minute alex zinchenko delivers a beautiful cross towards emile, he happened to be at the right spot at the right time. it's as if alex knew what emile wanted to do.
and alex did. with that cross, emile delivers a strong kick of the ball, sending it to the back of the net. you and the crowd go wild as you watch emile do his celebratory knee slide across the pitch and burying his face in his hands. this game was his first start in months. watching him score the goal nearly brought you to tears. only you and god know how hard he'd worked to get fit and get better just for this very moment.
alex runs over to emile who was still on his knees. "i got you! i got you!" alex pulls him up from under his arms, pulling him into a tight embrace. "that's for your girl, alright!" emile can only do so much as nod on alex's shoulder. finally looking up into the crowd, his eyes look for you first.
you clap as loud as you could for arsenal's number ten, who came back and found his form as quick as you fell in love with him. emile sends you a kiss as he mouthed that was for you baby.
"i love you, smith rowe!" you scream, doubting emile could even hear it from how far he is. oh no, but he heard you. he sends you the heart sign you sent him before the game started.
the rest of the game, however, was history. at the end of the game, thanks to emile's goal, arsenal keep their position at the top of the table. the game ends and vlada had offered if you wanted to come down to the pitch and celebrate with the guys.
emile and alex watch as you and vlada find your way onto the pitch, running towards the both of them. vlada finds alex and almost forgets about your existence, but you found yourself in emile's arms.
"welcome back, smith rowe." you grin from ear to ear with emile's face in your hands.
"thanks, missus," emile says, his arms wrapped around your waist tight. "also can i just mention, this kit on you..." emile runs his eyes up and down your body as he gets closer to whisper in your ear. "makes me want to do some bad things to you."
"what you waiting for then, perfect ten?" you whisper back in his. without hesitation, emile grabs your hand and pulls you into the tunnel, not even bothering to give the crowd a lap of honor or hand out his shirt to a lucky fan.
but before he did, he turns to alex, giving him a pat on the back. "thanks to your trick, i'm gonna get some tonight."
"works like a charm, brother," alex winks, clicking his tongue before pushing emile off. "works like a charm."

I spend my holidays split between my family and my wife's. Right now, I'm visiting my parents and brother, and we just had our family Christmas early :) One fun tradition we have is that we have a giant crab feast the night before we celebrate Christmas and it was delicious as usual. When we get to my in-law's place later this week, we'll stay overnight on Christmas Eve and spend most of Christmas day there too.

Allright, so I had an idea. This might totally backfire and people might not like me for this. But a while ago I had this thought: “I have made so many awesome friends on Tumblr in the 2+ years I have been here. Why not share the joy a bit?” Because of my autism, I tend to see patterns very fast. And I noticed I had some mutuals (if you show even the remotest interest in me I’d consider you a “mutual,” even if you don’t follow my blog 🫰) who likely never heard of each other, but who are so similar nonetheless. So, my mind started to make potential “matches.” Maybe you already know of each other (and I failed to notice) or maybe you’re not at all interested in this “experiment.” In that case, I’m sorry for wasting your time. Otherwise: without further ado, here goes to nothing! 😅
Match #1 – @guzhu-furen & @la-fourmi : Your blogs are my two main sources of Vegas smut on a daily basis. 😂 But joking aside, your main similarity would be KinnPorsche. But aside from that, you are both very badass, VERY queer and I don’t with similar fiery vibes. so if we’re talking about roman dying in s4 (and logan potentially having an indirect hand in it) how do you think it would happen? aside from a tragic jerk-off accident or exploding from the impact of gay sex, of course
dee, we literally have the same brain because you pre-empted my first two thoughts: tragic jerk-off accident and gay sex. You didn’t pre-empt my third thought which was that rory or macauley culkin are introduced as roman’s evil twin (foreshadowed by his siamese twin comment) who caroline has been hiding in the attic all this time (à la hugo from the simpsons). But i’ll assume you also want that to be put to the side.
Look, honestly I don’t know what the state of play will be in s4. Will roman still be involved in the takeover? how long will it take him to go back to logan? will they need him for the mencken angle, etc.? Maybe roman gets an arc where he becomes a part of mencken’s staff idk. S3 finale left everything up in the air. Vlada @technojizz floated the idea a while ago that roman could be in a bad enough headspace to do something to himself and i can see that potentially.
Aside from that, i think in the past we’ve seen logan’s actions put roman in harm’s way - e.g., argestes, turkey, and to an extent he’s the reason roman had to go pick up kendall in the therapy episode and it might just be me but that car scene puts me on edge everytime (honestly, though, it was probably just foreshadowing the crash at the end of the season rather than anything to do with a later arc for roman).
Basically what i’m saying is that I think there’s an escalation there in the harm coming to roman via logan. And logan is the reason roman is now friends with a fascist. So i can imagine Mencken’s politics causing a lot of unrest and roman getting caught in the middle somehow. That would be interesting for a number of reasons - shiv would see logan’s corruption of roman as the reason for him being in that position, kendall would blame himself for being absent during season 3, logan would be aware of his own part in the whole thing, and connor has a strong bond to roman + is involved in the political side of things now. This would also be interesting for gerri because she was his mentor during that time as well. Yeah, idk. Thoughts <3

Jensen Ackles Talks Directing Jared Padalecki on Walker and the Episode's Many Supernatural Nods (Kansas!)

Having spent 15 seasons together on Supernatural, the men who used to go by Dean and Sam Winchester almost didn’t even need full sentences when Jensen Ackles stepped behind the camera of Jared Padalecki’s current CW series Walker.
“It was very nice to be back with someone who I’ve got such an incredible shorthand with, which we’ll always have,” Ackles tells TVLine. “You don’t lose something like that. Spending 15 years building that up, that’s never going to go away. So that was fun. And being able to direct him in such a quick way… I think some of the other cast were kind of like, ‘Wait, what was that note? Did you just reference a movie and you’re now changing your tone?’ So those kind of things were a lot of fun for he and I to play with.”
In addition to marking an off-screen reunion between the former castmates, the episode (airing this Thursday at 8/7c) also features a Kansas performance of “Carry On Wayward Son” (aka the unofficial Supernatural theme song), as well as plenty of other references to the pair’s long-running drama.
Below, Ackles discusses the nods to the Winchesters that he snuck into the hour, the prank he pulled on Padalecki and whether he’ll make an on-screen appearance on Walker.
TVLINE | What was it like working with Jared again, but for the first time on something where you aren’t in the world of Supernatural and he’s not playing Sam Winchester?
I feel like if I ever get on screen with Jared, we will instantly fall into those shoes. So it was a good thing that I wasn’t actually sharing the screen with him, allowing him his space to be this new character, which was a lot of fun to watch. Because not only do I know him as Sam, but I also know Jared very, very well, and I’ve probably had to stare at his face more than most people on this planet, and I’ve seen all the idiosyncrasies, the facial expressions and the reactions and everything that he does. So none of that was very new for me. It was just kind of a variation on a theme…
And we had some fun on set, probably more than I think the rest of the cast was used to having. And this is one thing that Jared and I kind of laughed about. I was like, “Man, it’s amazing that all the jokes that we repeated for 15 years are now landing on fresh ears. We have a whole new audience! This is amazing!” [Laughs]
TVLINE | When the show first premiered, it took me a minute to wrap my head around the fact that Jared was now playing a dad to two high schoolers. So I was curious if there was anything that surprised you or something new that you learned about Jared, seeing him as this new character, seeing him in this new capacity in a new show?
I mean, that’s the thing, I spent a lot of time with Sam Winchester, but I spent more time with Jared Padalecki. I know him as a father, I know him as a brother and as a son and a dear friend. So I’ve seen him play these roles in real life. So to see him just kind of translate that to on-screen stuff, it was no stretch for me. It was just another facet of the person that he is, and he’s really good at it. So seeing him bring that to the on-screen character just seemed very natural in my eyes.
TVLINE | I feel like there must be a story about filming the blindfolded obstacle course scene with Jared.
I mean, look, I could have really like brought out the big guns for that, but I do know the guy and I do love the guy, and I was like, “I don’t know that this is the kind of torture I want to put him through.” [Laughs] Honestly, I’d do a whole episode about just him trying to make it through an obstacle course. I’d watch that. But it was a hot day, Jared sweats like crazy, and it would have made for a miserable shoot. So I actually tried to make it as doable as possible and took it easy on him. I got him in other ways. I had a life-size bear come to life and attack him in one of the scenes.
TVLINE | How did the Kansas performance come to be a part of the episode? Was that a make-good from them not being able to be in the Supernatural series finale?
Yeah, the planets kind of aligned as they kind of fell apart at the end of Supernatural. But they kind of aligned for it to happen, and everybody kind of looked at each other like, “Wait, can we actually do this? Can we make this happen?” They asked if it was something that I’d be cool with, and I was like, “Absolutely! Let’s 100 percent do that! What we tried to do two years ago, let’s absolutely try and do that now.” Kansas was totally game and just totally great and awesome about it. The crew was super excited to be all of a sudden shooting a rock concert. I think I’ve got some behind the scenes footage of me literally dancing and singing at the top of my lungs behind the director’s monitors during one of the takes, so I’ll have to post that whenever the episode comes out.
TVLINE | Were there any other nods to the show that you included in the episode that maybe I missed or that were more subtle?
Some very subtle ones. I don’t know if you noticed, but I kind of opened up on a plate of bacon being slapped down. Very Dean Winchester. There’s also a very familiar green cooler that gets brought into a scene, and that was the actual cooler that Sam and Dean sat on and drank out of and sat in the back of the Impala for 15 years. I had to massage the dialogue a little bit. I think Mitch [Pileggi] looked at it and he was like, “What kind of heathens would…?” I don’t think that was in the script.
There was a few others. I have to go back and remind myself, but there was definitely some verbiage, too, that was thrown in. [For one scene], we needed a shadowy figure of some sort, and I said, “Hey, this is the perfect opportunity to slide myself into the episode.” [Laughs]
TVLINE | I know you’ve been very busy with The Boys and The Winchesters, but has there been any discussion about doing an on-screen role on Walker? And if so, what type of character would you like to play?
There has been some talk about it, but the possibility has been earmarked, we’ll say, until things kind of slow down with my schedule — if they do. I’m kind of over committed as it is right now. So we kind of just said, “Well, down the road, we’ll keep an eye out.” And if I was to ever do it, I don’t know if it makes sense to do something completely opposite of what he and I did for 15 years together, or if it makes sense to lean into that a little bit, have some familiarity there. I don’t know. We’ll see if we get to cross that path. I wouldn’t be surprised, also, if somebody comes knocking and says, “Hey, they want to do a Supernatural short-order reboot or movie or something,” and then that’s the next time you see Jared and I together.
TVLINE | I don’t think anyone will be complaining about that.
[Laughs] We’ll see.
