Vedic Astrology Observations:
ive noticed that revati, punarvasu & swati naks are most often associated with the cyberpunk genre/its aesthetics. there are sooo many examples of this:
keanu reeves is a punarvasu stellium and he was in the matrix movies
arnold schwarzenegger is best known for his work in sci-fi/cyberpunk movies, including total recall, the terminator movies, the 6th day etc
aespa is a kpop group known for their cyberpunk aesthetic and futuristic concepts, the 4 members have the following naks: karina is a revati sun, punarvasu moon, giselle is a swati sun/mercury with punarvasu rahu, winter is swati mars with punarvasu rahu , ningning is swati venus (i have a feeling she's revati asc)
gakuryu ishii, the acclaimed cyberpunk filmmaker has punarvasu moon amatyakaraka and revati mars atmakaraka
aditi, the mother goddess is the creator, when we log on, we enter a different reality. revati is consciousness itself (the nature of which is questioned often in science fiction+ cyber punk works of art) swati is maya or illusion. this explains why these naks are so intricately linked to these themes.
2. 🦋 I've noticed that although butterflies are most commonly associated with punarvasu, sooo many sidereal pisces folks (Revati + UBP) are drawn to butterfly imagery. There are a ton of examples but here's a short thread:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Erika Sawajiri has Revati sun + UBP moon. This movie itself features heavy butterfly imagery 🦋
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Here's Salma Hayek, a UBP moon with temporary butterfly tattoos + wearing a butterfly top
Salma was in a movie called In the Time of the Butterflies where she played 1/2 of a duo of sisters called "Butterflies" along with Lumi Cavazos who has Revati Saturn as her atmakaraka and Rahu in UBP
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bella Hadid has UBP Ketu & here's her with 2 separate butterfly bday cakes 🍰🦋. Anyone who knows her knows how obsessed with butterflies she is lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Woosung has Revati Moon & Venus and his debut EP is literally called "Moth" 😭his album cover features butterflies too but for some reason I can't upload it :(
a little bit of a stretch but Jackson Wang is UBP sun + Revati venus & he has a song called "Papillon" (French for butterfly🦋 👀)
3. i think vishaka's invented siren eyes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
both beyonce & laura prepon have vishaka moons (there are a million other examples including jennie from blackpink but im too tired to attach pix ya'll)
4. a lot of writers who employ the stream of consciousness technique have the same combination of naks or naks that fell under the same planet.
Virginia Woolf was Shravana sun, Uttara Ashada venus, Mrigashira mars with ketu in Rohini (also Rohini asc)
James Joyce was Shravana sun & venus, Pushya moon, Shatabhisha mercury, Mrigashira mars with ketu in Rohini
(These two have their bdays super close together and its interesting how they are both considered the figureheads of this style of writing).
Anton Chekhov had Shravana sun & rahu, Revati moon, Uttara Ashada mercury & Shatabhisha venus
Literally 3 Shravana sun natives
William Faulkner had Hasta sun, Uttaraphalguni moon & mercury, Pushya ketu and was Ardra asc
Leo Tolstoy was also Uttaraphalguni moon & mercury, Pushya venus & saturn with Revati ketu and was Ardra asc
These two have the same moon, mercury & rising sign
Henry James was Aswini sun, Revati mercury, ketu in Ardra & Magha asc
Marcel Proust was Aswini moon & asc, Magha venus and Ardra rahu.
Two Aswini natives to the mix
As we can see there's a strong Moon, Sun & Nodal influence. I believe having nodal signs can make an individual very imaginative + Moon influence gives grounding to the endless nodal imagination.
5. Punarvasu natives have a habit of returning to the same themes in their works over and over again. I attribute this to the "boundless" nature of this nakshatra and its cyclic nature.
Makoto Shinkai has Punarvasu Ketu and his movies can be said to be interconnected, and have a similar over arching theme and take place in the same spiritual universe.
Frida Kahlo who has a Punarvasu stellium (sun, jupiter & rahu) literally drew herself over and over again
Gustav Klimt who has Punarvasu sun atmakaraka repeatedly used the same gold motif across many of his paintings. Jupiter is associated with the color yellow/lead and it features prominently in most of Klimt's work <3
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. serpent yoni ladies have the most distinct look. you can tell just by their eyes
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Natalie Portman has Mrigashira sun
Myrna Loy has Ashlesha sun & Mrigashira venus darakaraka (I know Ashlesha does not have serpent yoni but naks associated with Nagas often have serpentine physicality)
Look at how serpentine their eyes look!! There are mannyyyy more examples ofc. I'll make another post about it sometime.
That's it for now folks<3

Ian Ellison: What is it about Rainer Maria Rilke? The influence of the Bohemian Austrian poet on modern culture reads like a who’s who of the great and the good. W. H. Auden, Cecil Day-Lewis, and Edith Sitwell claimed to be directly inspired by him. The first English translations of his work, published by Leonard and Virginia Woolf’s Hogarth Press, became classics in their own right.
He has been set to music (both classical and rock) and proven himself a Hollywood touchstone, most recently providing the concluding epigraph of Taika Waititi’s Jojo Rabbit. Oprah Winfrey has quoted him on television and Lady Gaga has lines from his Letters to a Young Poet (1929) tattooed on her arm.
Maybe he has had such an impact because he is first and foremost a poet of the heart. He expresses those emotions we seldom desire—melancholy, longing, and loneliness above all—with such artistry and feeling that it can seem almost joyful. At the more esoteric end of things, he is regularly co-opted by New Age self-help gurus who take the closing line of his “Archaic Torso of Apollo”—“You must change your life”—as their mantra. Faced with the immensity of his work and its afterlives, you might feel like you know enough about Rilke, but the man himself has for a long time remained something of an enigma. Yet this may well be about to change.
It is rare for a poet to make headlines almost a hundred years after their death, especially for good reasons. But in early December 2022, Rilke was suddenly front-page news across Germany. In what was widely described as the purchase of the century by the German media, the Deutsches Literaturarchiv (DLA) announced it had acquired a collection of Rilke’s manuscripts comprising some 10,000 handwritten pages. These included draft poems and notes for their composition, as well as 2,500 letters written by the poet himself and a further 6,300 addressed to him. One of the most significant literary estates in postwar history, its cultural value is priceless, and it will soon be made available to the general public. A major exhibition at the Literaturmuseum der Moderne (the DLA’s next-door neighbor in Marbach) is planned for 2025 to mark the 150th anniversary of Rilke’s birth, and plans are afoot to digitize the entire collection. After being cataloged, the collection will be made available online without restriction, opening up this treasure trove to academic researchers across the globe, as well as general readers.

my initial and subsequent thoughts on the ttpd songs.
warning: this is not eloquently worded. I was also high while listening to some of them
fortnight
* “I was a functioning alcoholic until no one noticed my new aesthetic” ??? What the hell does that even mean??
* I don’t mind the beat/flow of the song but at the same time it’s kinda boring.
* on first listen I didn’t mind it, I think it’d be a grower or just like a nice background song
later thoughts:
* It’s fine but I still don’t get the appeal of it
the tortured poets department
* It’s alright? I don’t like some of the lyrics (“I scratch your head and you fall asleep like a tattooed golden retriever”) again, what lmao or the name dropping of people (Charlie Puth, Lucy, Jack)
later thoughts:
* I like some parts of this song but other parts I really don’t.
* I also think it could be cut by like a minute
my boy only breaks his favorite toys
* I honestly don’t know how I feel about this one? I don’t love it, I don’t hate it, I don’t have any strong opinions on this one. it’s just there. I think it could be a grower?
later thoughts:
* it grew on me, but still not my favorite.
down bad:
* this one’s ok. I don’t mind it but again, I think it could be a grower
* I think my problem so far with these songs is that they feel more like background songs to me. songs I can easily zone out to. and that’s fine in some situations, but I want a song that grabs my attention and stays there.
later thoughts:
* still feel pretty much the same. Its fine but not my favorite
so long, london:
* not bad. I think I can appreciate it objectively, and know this is probably gonna be a favorite by a lot of people, but for me it’ll probably be just a song that’s there and if it’s on it’s on but I won’t seek it out.
but daddy I love him:
* ok apparently a lot of people rank this one very low (I’m guessing it’s because it’s about Matty Healy?) but I don’t mind it??
fresh out the slammer:
* *I’m now listening to this album high*
* can’t remember how it went but I didn’t mind it! it was kinda catchy
later thoughts
* one of my favorites
Florida!!!
* “my friends all smell like weed or little babies” Taylor again, what the fuck??
* hearing Florence and Taylor on a song is wild lol
later thoughts:
* not sure what this song is about or how I feel about it but I like Florence’s part
guilty as sin?
* I like this one
* A lot
* idk if it cause I’m high or am I getting kinda country vibes? like “older taylor” sound?
* I’m liking this one
later thoughts:
* probably my favorite on the album!!
who’s afraid of little old me?
* I’m getting little red riding hood vibes from the title??? I think it’s because it reminds me of Who’s afraid of Virginia Woolf? and also who’s afraid of the big bad wolf? So hearing Wolf makes me think of little red riding hood lol
* Idk what she’s talking about but to me it’s now a canon song about the big bad wolf in little red riding hood
* non-high thoughts: Jesus idk why I thought of red riding hood lmao but anyway, nothing crazy standing out to me. decent enough I guess?
I can fix him
* dude I didn’t even register this song I was trying to make me little red riding hood thing make sense
* non-high thoughts: this did nothing for me lol
loml
* started thinking about my grandparents at the beginning and then zoned for a bit out lol
* but I like this one a lot!!!
* very calming and I liked some of the lyric play
later thoughts:
* one of my favorites!!
I can do it with a broken heart
* ok. Bitch werk.
* I’m shaking my ass
* Oh shittttt I’m on the club floorrr
* Omg super Mario
* Ok this is a bopppp wtf
* Where is this song taking me???
* and we’re back to head bopping
* serious video games mode
* Omg it just ended
* Damn okkk!!
later thoughts:
* this song is fun but I need to be in the mood to listen to it
the smallest man who ever lived
* I’m kinda upset this one is slow and sad i want the fun beat back!!!
* I really liked the last minute and a half ish tho!!
later thoughts:
* still really like the last minute and a half
the alchemy
* idk but I’m getting nice vibes
* Like music wise. idk what the lyrics are saying, I’m too high for that
later thoughts:
* don’t have a strong opinion on this one tbh
clara bow
* I like this one
* STEVIE NICKS REFERENCE?!!?!?
* didn’t like her referencing herself at the end tho
later thoughts:
* still like this one a lot.
the black dog
* yeah this one’s fine. not my favorite and probably wouldn’t see it out but it’s decent enough.
later thoughts:
* I like it more than when I first listened to it.
imgomnagetyouback
* I was super focused on this song and I liked it!!
the albatross
* yeah. good. I’m getting tired tbh lol I may finish the rest tomorrow
later thoughts:
* one of my favorites!!
Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus
*it’s now the next morning and I’m not high anymore*
* This one’s fine, kinda boring. I did not register any of the lyrics lol
How did it end?
* I didn’t mind this one. the lyrics were good, but idk I really don’t like a lot of the slower songs on here it seems
so high school
* I like the production
* some of the lyrics were fine, some were kinda cringy? which I wanna say is what she was going for cause it’s supposed to be how she feels like she’s in high school with him but I don’t think she intended for them to be lol
later thoughts:
* yeah same thoughts as when I first listened to it.
i hate it here
* I appreciate the theme of disassociation and going into your own little world or wanting to go into a different time, but it didn’t really do anything for me
thanK you aIMee
* gee I wonder who this song’s about…
* I like the production, although the song just sounds recycled and similar to some of her other songs to me
I look in people’s windows
* “cause I’m a deranged weirdo” ok glad she said it not me lol
* in all seriousness it’s a nice, light sounding song (production wise). kinda reminds me of its nice to have a friend: short, a little different from the other songs
the prophecy
* I like this one. I like the melodies and how she sings it
Cassandra
* kinda boring but she has nice vocals
Peter
* I like the lyrics more than the music/production
the bolter
* I like this one.
* Not much to say but it’s got a nice rhythm and it’s cute and light
later thoughts:
* I like it more on subsequent listens
robin
* its not bad, but it’s another zone out song for me.
the manuscript
* again, not bad, but it’s not doing anything for me.

🏳️‍🌈 Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈 🎉
It took me forever to get this done because my stupid computer was acting up, but here it is.
I figured it would be nice to acknowledge official representation within The Sims franchise that isn't in The Sims 4.
I messed around with pose player for the first time and used a different reshade preset called 90s nostalgia.
Tumblr media
"Dylan's preference for wearing suits might be the scandal of the century, but she doesn't mind. Audrey desperately wants a child, and now science has made it possible. What impact will a child have on their lives?"
Say hello to the Shear family from The Sims 3 store world 'Roaring Heights'. The first openly same-sex couple in the franchise to date. We have Audrey on the left, Dylan on the right and little Charlie in the middle.
Tumblr media
"On the outside, Rita and Mark appear to be a happily married couple but they've both fallen in love with other people. Will they risk scandal or work to stay together?"
Another two pairs from roaring heights it seems. Rita and Mark, who are both sat on the couch, are married, but are in secret same-sex relationships with the people behind them. According to the wiki, Rita and Mark are based of of Daisy and Thomas Buchanan from The Great Gatsby.
Rita is also said to be a refrence to writer Vita Sackville-West, who was the lover of writer Virginia Woolf, who the sim behind Rita (Virginia Supine) is based on.
Mark is also said to be based on a British Politician named Harold Nicolson who was the husband of Vita Sackville-West. His lover behind him is called Michael Dandy, who is said to be based on the main character of The Great Gatsby, Jay Gatsby. In the novel, Jay is in love with Daisy Buchanan, who Rita is based on. Here, they appear to have put a twist on the original novel, and made his love interest the husband instead.
Here are a few more honorable mentions.
Tumblr media
"With the loss of his partner, Leonard Ryan hated the thought of having to sell his home. He looked for a roommate so they wouldn't have to move out of town. Now he has time to devote to his son and to his research."
Sorry for the terrible quality pictures, these where literally all I could find for this family. The Ryan family are from The Sims 3 for console, living in Moonlight Bay.
Leonard Ryan (left) recently lost his husband, Jeffrey Ryan (middle) and now lives with roommates who are also single dad's in 'The Single Dads household' with his adopted son Logan.
Technically this would make them the first openly same-sex couple in The Sims franchise since it came out before Roaring Heights (I looked it up) but the sims wiki seems confused about which couple is the first. Maybe the whole dead husband thing disqualifies them.
Tumblr media
Kiki Blunt (left) is a villain in The Urbz: Sims In The City (the best spinoff, fite me). It doesn't happen in the game, but in a comic called Urbz Comix, "Central Station", Kiki is in a relationship with a cage fighter named 'Anna Kissed' (right). In the comic, local bully Urangoo Mcbain, bursts into the tattoo parlor, and demands to be serviced, as he wants to become Anna Kissed's 'Dream Punk'. After an exhausting session, Urangoo attemps to leave without paying, but is stopped by being hoisted up by the nipples, by a magnetic machine. Later, Anna Kissed is told the story, who finds it amusing, and states that she already has her 'Dream Punk' and points to Kiki Blunt. See the last page of the comic below.
Tumblr media
Whew, that's all I could find.
I'm curious, how do you play the sims families I talked about?

Movie-Themed Date Idea #5
Nerve:
Get tattoos (Bonus: Choose each other's!)
Go to the most expensive store and try on everything, but don't buy anything.
Play a game of dare.
Purchase Virginia Woolf's "To The Lighthouse".
Tumblr media
(If you've seen this movie, do be aware, I am not suggesting anyone break any laws as done in the film, and will deny any blame if anyone gets in trouble for messing with weapons, murder, or driving a motorcycle through the city blindfolded.)

while i’m here I might as well spill my life.
WARNING: informal writing and babbling below. some shit might not make sense
so there’s this cute girl from my lit + humanities class thing. super cute and so incredibly smart that it’s sexy. I asked her out and we ate noodles in her dorm room. we fucked around a lil bit and we considered getting stick n pole tattoos lol. I actually have a stick n poke tattoo from my best friend in middle school (still friends til this day.)
at the time i’m posting this it’s 4/22 so 4/20 was 2 days ago. me and the girl I fucked took some edibles we got from a truck. I think i’m still a lil dazed even 2 days later. I think we fucked again lmao. before that me and some friends rolled up in some park deep in manhattan. 10/10 experience would do again.
I think imma ask that girl I was talking about to be my gf. I think that time we ate noodles on her dorm room floor really did it for me. when i’m with her I feel like a fucking cringy teenager but I am 20 so… i’m not that grown. feeling cringy is a feeling i’m trying to disassociate with. me having fun and doing what I want and making corny jokes isn’t smth I should feel so ashamed of. she makes me feel not so ashamed.
been reading some virginia woolf recently. she’s a pretty cool lesbian lol. uh idrk what else to say. so yeah.

have a nice day (≧◡≦)
there is just something in the air … like why do i feel the urge to cry ?? 🤨
let’s go with tigerlily— do you have any favorite quotes from any movies, tv shows, books, or poetry? (or from people in real life)
this is such a hard one. i think my favourite book quote ever is from the waves, by virginia woolf:
“There was a star riding through clouds one night, & I said to the star, 'Consume me'.”
there is just something so magical about it !!
there is also the song of achilles :
“I could recognize him by touch alone, by smell; I would know him blind, by the way his breaths came and his feet struck the earth. I would know him in death, at the end of the world.”
and of course, i cannot not mention “sad madrigal” by baudelaire: “L’orage rajeunit les fleurs” which literally means “storms rejuvenate flowers” ⏤ that’s one of my favourite lines, enough to get it tattooed on the arm lol.
