Venezuelan Poodle Moth
The Venezuelan Poodle Moth was discovered by Dr Arthur Anker in the Gran Sabana region of Venezuela on January 1, 2009. This photo is the only image we have of the moth, any other photos that come up when you search for it are either different species or fake. So far, this is all we know about the Venezuelan Poodle Moth.

Finally started to work on moths people suggested as types of Mothmen, and figured I’d start with the poodle moth suggestion by @dreamcatcher-ranger , though I apologize this one isn’t black and the wings aren’t more feather-like. I might revisit this one again to do a black poodle moth too.
The swanky, New York heiress vibe wasn’t initially a part of the plan, but the more I sketched the more I thought about poodles being used as show dogs frequently and that led to me thinking of pearls and one thing led to another.

may I recommend the venezuelan poodle moth if you haven’t put it already?
I do not plan on doing this moth, as it is still an unidentified species that has been photographed once in Venezuela, 2009. There is very little to essentially no information on this moth, as we aren't even sure it exists. But thank you for the suggestion.

I went on a field trip today and started spouting about moths like the nerd I am... Now suddenly my moth oc is getting a much-needed redesign and some lore PLUS I'm making ANOTHER moth oc. Absolute W for the environmental science nerd with a moth obsession.

The Venezuelan Poodle Moth was discovered in Venezuela in 2009. It has attracted the attention of entomologists worldwide. With its white, fluffy body, it does look like a small dog. What amazing antennae!

hey! could you guys do the poodle moth? it’s one of my favorites <3
Hello! I've already explained here why I will not be featuring this moth as Moth of the Day. It is an unidentified moth species and its existance is unknown. Thank you for the suggestion.

Soaking up the lämplight
For my first artpiece since being sick from who-knows-what, here's a maroth character based off the Venezuelan Poodle moth, a species of moth which its existence is currently up for debate. Go on and sit down next to her; if you're nice, maybe she'll let you touch her floof!
