30. Your OTP gets to pick out each other's outfits; what is each wearing?

Omg. Are you asking this cause of the scene in no unbeatable odds where Chrissy asked Eddie to pick out her outfit and he got super in his head about it?!

Chrissy would choose the tightest-fitting pants Eddie owns so she can admire/grope his ass and she would make sure to include that chain, cause she likes using it to tug him closer. I think she would like to switch up his usual uniform and put him in a flannel. She would also force him to wear one of Wayne’s trucker hats just cause it makes him grumpy and grumpy Eddie makes her laugh. 

Chrissy would be wearing a short swishy skirt (not the cheerleading skirt but very reminiscent of it!) and something soft and pastel on top. I don’t think it would be particularly tight or revealing–I think he really likes her feminine style, and knows she’s more comfortable with slightly more modest clothes, so maybe it would be a cute patterned button-up blouse, with her hair half up in a matching bow. Basically a flirty librarian kind of look (I’m a “the library was a sanctuary for Eddie as a kid” truther so it’s a whole thing for him).

51. What’s a non verbal way they say I love you?

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Eddie cooks for Chrissy. He grew up cooking on a budget but was never particularly creative with it, but helping Chrissy navigate her relationship with food is a big motivator for him to be better, so he goes out of his way to teach himself meals he thinks she will be okay with. I think once they move away from Hawkins together at some point they would do cheesy date night cooking classes together (at Eddie’s suggestion!) 

I think Chrissy primarily communicates her love through physical touch. She’s a big fan of Eddie laying his head in her lap and playing with his hair. Which leads me to Chrissy’s love of showering & bathing with Eddie and washing his hair. She just really loves taking care of him physically like that. I think there’s something about the way the start of their relationship coincides with her starting to heal her relationship with her body that makes her like that–she’s trying so hard to feel at home within herself, to take care of her body instead of destroying it the way she’d been taught was right, that pouring all of her love into caring for Eddie in a physical way feels right for her.

I like this! And of course I’ll try not to let recency bias creep in…

1. Everything Everywhere All At Once is, hands-down, my favorite piece of visual media I watched this year. It’s funny, heartfelt, weird, queer, beautiful, gross, uplifting, AND it doesn’t take itself too seriously. I adore this movie.

2. Bodies Bodies Bodies feels like a very natural gen z successor to Heathers. I didn’t see it get a lot of attention because it’s very much a summer movie that was released way too early into the year, so I like to recommend it. Rachel Sennott deserves to be cast in everything after this movie.

3. The White Lotus season 2 had some really big expectations to live up to — and it DID!

4. Stranger Things 4, for all its faults, managed to pull me back in HARD after feeling some really complicated feelings about season 3. I really enjoyed this season as a whole and I’m looking forward to the final season.

5. X was a fun, weird, fucked up little love letter to all the people who make fucked up little movies — whether it’s pornography or horror!

💰 What’s one trope you wouldn’t write, except for money?

Hmmm this is a tough call. A year ago if you'd asked me what my hard squicks were, I'd say omegaverse but I think I understand it a little bit more now, and if someone commissioned me and gave me the grace to tweak it how I wanted, I'd probably accept the money and write it to the best of my ability.
