Pastell Legacy - Sims 4 catchup post
So, a while back, I did a recap post of the old sims 3 side of this legacy, in case I would start posting more stuff on my simblr about that.
And now I think it's time to do it for the sims 4 side of it!
Tumblr media
We'll start with the beginnings: Anne and Edda Pastell. (photo from 2017)
Tumblr media
They're sisters! While Anne was the founder of my Sims 3 legacy (linked above), I figured it would be fun to say she actually had a sister all along, and just do her side of the legacy in the Sims 4. Because sure, why not.
This side will probably be played somewhat like a really loose not-so-berry, just without the rules. Still doing some color theming on the heirs, subtly or not.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
At some point, Edda joined the Avant Gardes. That's where she met Gunther Munch, whom some of you may know already. They got along well, and ended up getting married. probably because they're both nerds
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, it turns out Edda was carrying a curse of some sort. And so, their firstborn baby Rune was born a vampire. His vampiric traits slowly showed up over time, really ramping up with puberty. People are still unsure about the details on how he was like this in the first place, and Rune has no idea either. This is just the way he is.
He ended up moving out - moving in with some vampire friends he met instead. I have posted a bunch of my gameplay with them already.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In fact, they're the reason the actual legacy game stalled for so long. I love these dorks, you see :3 And since they're immortal, we'll still be checking in with them from time to time, mostly in intermissions.
Anyway, onto the rest of this generation!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Next up is Rune's younger redhead brother Snorre. He was a completely normal mortal human, much to the parents' relief. As for how his life went; he married a nice lady and had two pairs of twins! One pair was from an alien abduction, funnily enough. He's also already dead, but his children are still around as adults.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[pictured: snorre's twin pairs - ingrid and inger, saga and sagn]
Then,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Frøya. Also human. Since this legacy was originally intended as a matriarchy, it was the oldest girl who ended up being the heir... well, "girl" in Frøya's case. She's nonbinary; she/they pronouns. They're still alive currently, as an elder, and they have been known to be a bit eccentric. She got married to their husband somewhat unceremoniously at the love festival a while back.
Tumblr media
So yep. Three kids in this generation, surely that was enough, right??
NOPE.
After the birth of these three, Gunther somehow got abducted by aliens, and came back with grey alien twins. Their names are Odin and Frigg.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway.
Here, have some old art of the gen 2 siblings, which I drew:
Tumblr media
Anyway! Now we're at gen 3.
Frøya and Nobuya had a pair of identical twins: Ravn and Kråke. Which, honestly, is really just Norwegian for Raven and Crow. (my game is in norwegian you see)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ravn was always the smart kid at school. Kråke was more of a troublemaker. Still, these two are very close and care for each other.
Tumblr media
So really, you'd think Ravn would be the heir, but she denounced it and decided to go live her own life with her wife instead. She's very much a lesbian, and the thought of being forced to have a kid is just not in her books. The parents respected that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Kråke is a trans man. His situation is not much better, but he was determined to have a kid anyway; after all, who else was going to do it? He was so ready for this... and then, his fiancé suddenly died to a stovefire and Kråke's world shattered to the ground.
He's okay, really, it's fine - no. He's not okay. He must get his beloved Rolf back, no matter what. It's the only thing that matters to him anymore.
Anyway yeah he's kind of a sopping wet cat of a man at the moment. That's our protagonist this generation. Let's go.
Also, since you read all the way to the end, thank you!
Here's a link to the whole family tree while I work on putting a proper graphic together :3

Dear Daylilies
Vampire! Ravn x human! GN! reader
So this was an idea I got as I watched the mv for Oneus’ Luna. And it is pretty sad, also I know it says in my rules that I don’t write about the reader or any of the idols dying but this is an exception. Also there are no details about the death other than me just writing that the reader is gone and fading.
Requests are open!
Angsty, sad and some fluff I guess.
Part 2 In My Arms
Tumblr media
The lone cry of the moon
Without you I feel lonely like never before. Now that you are gone there is an empty space beside me and in my heart. One that I wasn’t aware of prior to having you.
Moving backwards in time
All I can see and think of are the time spent with you. The void you left behind, taking all my happiness with you. I see us walking around my palace, the way your face shone with an innocent smile. The way you always crept closer to me when you were afraid, the way you always held my hand so that I wouldn’t walk too quickly. The way you made me smile like no one ever has.
The beautiful moment when my heart trembled
As I walk around the castle seeing my brothers being happy with their beloved my heart trembles knowing that used to be us but now I am without you. Never before have I wished to live up to the stereotype of a blood thirsty, heartless, emotionless vampire but now I do because maybe if I was that then I wouldn’t feel this pain. This emptiness. But even as my heart trembles and yearns for your love, it also warms at the thought of my brothers being happy as well as the thought of how that used to be us.
Missing the two warm hands that held me tight
If only I had met you in a lifetime where I wasn’t an immortal being and you a human. If only I had met you as a human so we could live and die together. Or maybe a lifetime where we both were vampires so we could have lived together forever. I miss how warm your hands were when I held them in my cold hands, the warmth I felt when you would hug me. Never have I felt so alive as I did during those moments.
The emptiness remains where you left
After you left there was an empty space around the table. An empty space in the bay window overlooking the grand garden. That space where you loved to sit and just watch the flowers blossom and shine under the moonlight. That space where you wanted to spend your last moment. The space where you told me that you loved me. The space that I now protect as if it was alive and won’t let anyone else approach because I am afraid that they will ruin it.
You are like a lonely blossoming flower wishing the black clouds to cover the moonlight
As I now sit in your spot at the bay window overlooking my grand garden I remember the first time I brought you out there. It was a month after I first met you, we had been on a walk and you told me that you had a particular love for flowers but there were only a few flowers growing in your village but you wished to see more. So I asked you to come with me to my mansion that night because I had something to show you. As I opened the door to the grand garden and I heard your sharp inhale, I knew that I had made you happy. You raced past me with a giddy smile and looked around at all the flowers. “Ravn, what kind of flowers are these? I’ve never seen any illustrations of them in any of my books” “These are Daylilies. Contrary to their name, they only bloom at night” “So, kind of like you!” “What do you mean now?” “Well, you’re a vampire. A creature of the night, you rise with the moon” The way your eyes sparkled under the moonlight made my dead heart feel like it was beating, you looked ethereal under the moon surrounded by the daylilies. “Maybe so. But their beauty is nothing compared to yours” I remember plucking one of the flowers and giving it to you. Now I wish that the clouds would cover the moon and I wish I could let the flowers die for all they remind me of are you.
Like the flower that blossomed to show it’s love for the moonlight
Every visitor I have ever had who has witnessed the garden has always congratulated me for its beauty and I have always thanked them but I have never thought highly of the garden. After all, when you live an eternal life and can travel anywhere than a flower or two aren’t impressive. But after I brought you there the garden became one of my most prideful possessions and I took extra care of it to keep it pristine. Even as you grew older you would always remain that beautiful young soul who outshone my grand garden. You made me shine. I was like a Daylily rising to show its love to the moonlight.
You are so beautiful under the moon
Humans grow old and people claim they lose their beauty along the way but in my eyes you would always be lovely. No one could ever compare to you. I remember telling you as I held your aging body in my cold arms that you looked like an angel under the moon. You would deny it and say that I was only being nice, that no one could see beauty in an old person like you. But I did. I still can, a century later and I can still see you. You looked heavenly, always.
The story that ended with me letting you go
I knew from the moment we met that I would outlive you but I still wished to have you forever. I never wanted to let you go. But as I held you as you were fading away, I knew that I had to let you leave. That I had to let you go. You handed me the dried Daylily that I gave you the day I first showed you the grand garden, telling me to take care of it. The flower remained sheltered in my office but after a century the flower has given up, but stubbornly I keep it as if it is the very materialized form of you. I know now that I have to let you go.  I have to live on.
If I could go back in time just this once I will have the courage to tell you
I wish I could go back in time and find the courage to tell you. Tell you that I loved you. That I still love you.
Wandering around to find you
My eyes are constantly searching for you wherever I look. I search for you in the garden, around the table, around the village, in the halls of the mansion, but especially in the light of the moon. I search for you in the beams as if they will uncover you and let my saddened eyes fall on your captivating form once again.
Blow, wind please tell my lover the words that I failed to deliver
A century has passed by and I now realize that it is time that I move on. That I accept the fact that you are gone. So I ask for the wind to blow and deliver the message of my love to you as I failed to do so on my own. Take the dust of your flower and spread it around the kingdom so that more people can enjoy the beauty of this flower. I know that I can find you in the moonlight because that is where the memories of us remain. So I no longer resent the moon for shining. Now the moonlight comforts me and makes me feel warm just like you used to do. I find peace under the moon as I reminisce on our times together when I sit in your bay window overlooking the grand garden beneath me. My dear beautiful daylily, I hope the moon is treating you kindly.

part one 🌙 part two 🌙 part three 🌙 part four 🌙 part five 🌙 part six  🌙 part seven 🌙 part eight 🌙 part nine 🌙 part ten🌙 part eleven  🌙part twelve
You felt like you were dreaming but no matter how many times you pinched yourself, you didn’t wake up, because this was reality. Ravn was safe and sleeping soundly, his arms wrapped around you. And he was so warm you’d have a difficult time getting used to it. But it didn’t matter, because you loved him for him and that was all that mattered. You ran a gentle hand through his dark hair. He was still so beautiful, still so soft, still your Ravn. And despite the fact that he, too, was mortal now, you had the strange feeling you had all the time in the world. And in a way, it was true. You were so far away from any dangers that this newfound sense of freedom seemed eternal.
“Are you watching me sleep?” Ravn murmured curiously.
You attempted to withdraw your hand, but his reflexes were still fast enough to catch you.
“Don’t be embarrassed,” he opened his eyes and smiled at you fondly.
“I just can’t believe this. You’re alive,” you pointed out.
Ravn chuckled.
“Me neither. I’ve wished for this for so long that now when it actually happened it seems unreal.”
“Well, no use questioning it, let’s just enjoy ourselves,” you quickly kissed his lips and intended to get out of bed to brush your teeth, but Ravn stopped you by holding onto your hand and pulling you close.
“Where do you think you’re going?” He kissed you once more, this time more deeply and not willing to let go.
“Mmm, Ravn, darling…” you tried to argue.
“Stay a bit longer,” he pleaded sweetly.
“You’re impossible to resist,” you laughed and started kissing his neck, occasionally biting him gently, which amused him immensely.
“Oh, no, I’ve corrupted you entirely,” Ravn wailed.
You rolled your eyes and pressed your hands against his cheeks.
“I love you,” you said seriously.
“I would not wish any companion in the world but you,” Ravn replied and your eyes filled with happy tears.
“My favourite Shakespeare nerd,” you stroked his chin.
“Am I not the only Shakespeare nerd you know?” he challenged.
“Well, he will never admit it, but Seoho is secretly as much of a Shakespeare enthusiast as we are,” you joked.
“But you like me more, right?” he had to make sure.
“Of course, silly, is this even a question?”
“Let’s get up and annoy him about it, then!” Ravn suggested excitedly.
“Unbelievable,” you giggled and sneaked out of his arms. “Bathroom’s mine first!”
Ravn hurriedly chased you but to your complete amazement, you beat him to it. Now that he was human, too, it was all fair and square.
“Come on, sweetheart, let me in!” Ravn complained, knocking on the door.
You smirked triumphantly as you were putting toothpaste on your new brush.
“What will I get out of this?” you bargained, suddenly remembering one of your initial encounters. It felt like a century ago.
“More kisses? My undying affection? Anything you wish, I just really need to…”
You quickly opened the door upon hearing the desperation in his voice. He was only human, after all, the thought making you laugh.
“Thank you!” Ravn rushed inside. He was obviously on a mission.
A couple of minutes later, you were both out of the bathroom and dressing up for the day.
“Being a human is so hard,” he complained. “So many needs.”
“Come on, you’ve been human before,” you reminded him.
“How do you deal with all this?” Ravn asked, overwhelmed by everything new.
“It’s just life, I guess,” you shrugged. “Don’t worry. You’ll get the hang of it soon enough. And I’ll be with you every step of the way.”
“Unless when you lock me out of the bathroom,” he teased you.
“A mistake I won’t repeat again,” you chuckled. “We’ll have to share.”
“I can live with that,” he winked. “For the rest of my life.”
These were words you’d never expected to hear and yet, they’d somehow turned into the much needed reality.
🌙🌙🌙
“Now that Ravn’s human, you won’t say stuff like ‘all humans are trash’, will you, Seoho?” you joked over breakfast as you were spreading jam over a slice of bread.
“Unfortunately, I’ve been forced to change my mindset,” Seoho groaned and added under his breath. “Ugh, humans.”
“Hey, I heard that!” Ravn scolded him.
“I thought your super hearing was gone?” Seoho asked awkwardly.
“It is, but I can still hear shit,” he punched his friend playfully.
“Fine, fine, I’ll try not to be a dick.”
“Thank you very much,” you said. “I’m thinking of checking out the local bookshops today. Ravn, do you want to come with?”
“You know it,” he gave you a high five.
“Seoho, do you want to join us?” you offered politely, because after all, if it hadn’t been for Seoho’s magical abilities, you probably wouldn’t be here, in Verona, alive.
“So I can watch you lick each other’s faces between the bookshelves? I’ll pass,” Seoho scoffed.
“Hey, if it makes you uncomfortable, we’ll stop doing it in front of you,” you promised.
“Nah, it’s fine. I have other plans, anyways.”
“You do?” Ravn eyed him suspiciously.
“I’m not telling you anything,” Seoho finished his juice, got up from the table and grabbed his jacket. “Have fun, nerds!”
Before you could register where he was going, Seoho had teleported himself out of the room.
“Okay, that was weird,” you pointed out.
“Definitely. We’ll grill him for more information when he comes back,” Ravn vowed. “But for now, let’s finish our human breakfast and explore the town.”
“It would be my honour,” you smiled.
🌙🌙🌙
Seoho’s POV
Was I being too obvious? I knew that sooner or later I’d have to inform Ravn and Y/N what this was about, but I didn’t want to jinx it. After all, there wasn’t much to tell. Not yet, at least. The truth was that yesterday when I’d gone to buy pizza and pancakes for my friends, I’d seen someone that grabbed my attention rightaway. They had beautiful short hair, a vibrant smile and they were selling ice-cream. At the time, I couldn’t muster up the courage to talk to them, even though I was usually confident and carefree. There was something special about this person. And despite my previous distrust of humans, I realized I could no longer be so prejudiced about them. My best friend was now human and his girlfriend had proved me wrong countless times. Maybe it was because I was in a new town, where no one knew me. Maybe it was because after almost losing Ravn, I had realized that life was too short and precious and I had to make each day count. I don’t know what exactly came over me but when I lied to my friends about having plans, I decided I want to see the person selling ice-cream again. And this time, I would talk to them.
Luckily, I was good at finding my way around. I quickly remembered where the pizza place was and that the ice-cream stand was right around the corner. I felt a bit nervous, but I knew that I had nothing to lose, so I approached it. They were there. The minute I saw their smile I forgot everything that I had planned I would say. How I wanted to play it cool and tell them I really like their style and their hair and…Before I could open my mouth, they’d spotted me and spoke first.
“Hi, would you like to order some ice-cream?” were the cheerful first words they said to me.
“Um, hi, yeah, what would you recommend?” I asked.
“My personal favourite is chocolate,” they replied.
“Alright, then, I’ll have that.”
“Sure thing,” they smiled and started scooping up a ball of chocolate ice-cream as I placed the money on the table. Now was my chance to say something dumb or remain silent and regret it forever. Or I could just come back again tomorrow. I wouldn’t do that, right?
🌙🌙🌙
I was a fool. I did come back again the following day. And the day after. I came back to that ice-cream place every day for two whole weeks, without succeeding to say much to the person I was obviously crushing on, other than the usual small talk surrounding the process of buying ice-cream. I tried all the different flavours until one day the unimaginable happened.
“I’ll see you again tomorrow,” I murmured instead of goodbye.
“Actually, I won’t be here tomorrow,” they responded sadly. “You see, this was just a summer job for me and I’m going back to college so I won’t have time to work.”
“Oh, I see,” I replied dumbly. “Well, in that case…”
“Can I get your number?” they beat me to it. “Or at least your name?”
Internally, I was screaming with joy. Externally, I attempted to maintain a perfectly composed expression.
“Seoho,” I said, already writing down my phone number on a napkin. “And yours?”
“Robin,” they chuckled. “Wow, you’re so old-fashioned, you could have just typed it in.”
I shrugged and handed them the silly napkin.
“Better not lose it,” I warned them.
“No worries, I’ll treasure it forever.”
“Well, technically, the ink will probably wear off with time…”
“Wow, way to kill the mood,” Robin laughed and I could swear, I would never get tired of that beautiful sound.
“Sorry,” I looked down apologetically.
“I can’t help but wonder what took you so long?” they further amazed me with such a straightforward question.
“Um, I’m shy?”
“Me too, but it had to be done,” Robin winked.
In that moment, I had already made up my mind. Maybe humans weren’t so bad after all…
🌙🌙🌙
One year later
You were sitting next to your fiancé, holding hands under the table at a pizza restaurant because you didn’t want your engagement rings to show. You intended to surprise your friends Seoho and Robin and had kept it a secret for a while. A week had passed since Ravn proposed to you. He had booked plane tickets to Paris for a weekend getaway and what you thought was simply a short vacation turned into the best moment of your life. Forever the romantic, Ravn had completely amazed you with the unexpected question. An evening walk alongside the Seine River and under the city lights, French music playing all around…You had been so overwhelmed by positive emotions that you burst into tears before managing to respond. Ravn had gotten worried that he’d upset you and you’d somehow succeeded in letting him know you were happy crying and that of course you’d marry him. It felt like a dream come true.
As you were waiting for your friends to arrive, you and Ravn exchanged a knowing look.
“Are you ready?” he asked.
“Born ready,” you replied, completely certain of your feelings for him.
He squeezed your hand in support and soon after, your friends showed up.
“Hi, darling,” you hugged Robin tightly. “Seoho.”
“We have news,” Ravn announced directly.
“Can it wait?” Seoho inquired. “We kinda have a surprise that’s waiting outside.”
“Oh? You got us a puppy?” you asked, guessing wrongly.
“Nah, it’s not a puppy,” Seoho chuckled. “Much better, actually.”
“Come on, tell us already!” Ravn insisted.
“Okay, stay here, I’ll get the surprise rightaway. Robin, keep them occupied.”
Robin rolled their eyes.
“So bossy,” they complained affectionately after Seoho was out of earshot. “Anyways, how have you two been?”
“Splendid,” you squealed. “We can’t wait to tell you the big news, but apparently Seoho’s going to steal our thunder.”
“Yeah, so rude of him,” Ravn joked.
“Oh, trust me, it’ll be worth it,” Robin promised, already aware of who was standing outside.
“It better be,” you laughed.
As soon as you’d said that, Seoho returned, holding a young-looking guy you’d never seen before under his arm. The first thing you noticed was his pale skin that looked so out of place next to Seoho’s flushed cheeks. And your limited experience led you to the conclusion that this was probably a vampire.
“X-xion,” Ravn stammered in shock and quickly rushed to get up and hug his friend he hadn’t seen in way too long, completely forgetting about the secret you were supposed to hide under the table.
“It’s been a while,” Xion replied. “Sorry for showing up unannounced…but I wanted to see you.”
“Of course, it’s not a problem,” Ravn reassured him. “This is Y/N, my…fiancée,” he introduced you, dropping the other big surprise for the evening.
“HOLY SHIT,” Robin exclaimed, finally noticing the rings. “Congratulations!”
Seoho didn’t seem shocked at all, the magical bastard had probably read your thoughts a long time ago.
“T-thanks,” you murmured nervously. “And it’s really nice to meet you, Xion. I’ve heard a lot about you.”
He shook your hand awkwardly and smiled.
“So, what brings you here?” Ravn asked his friend.
“Well, Seoho mentioned about…you know…how Y/N and you…and how you’re no longer…you know.”
“It’s okay, Xion,” Robin chuckled. “Seoho told me everything about the supernatural world, you don’t need to speak in riddles.”
The vampire scratched the back of his head bashfully.
“And like, I was wondering if it was possible for this miracle to happen to me, too. So I came to ask for advice.”
“You want to be human, too?” Ravn inquired. “Are you sure you’ve thought this through?”
You gave your fiancé and Xion an encouraging smile.
“There’s nothing I’d like more,” he confessed openly.
“Well, I don’t know what to tell you, it’s not like I was planning for this to happen.”
“Anything can be helpful,” Xion pleaded. “Just tell me the whole story. How you met Y/N. How you fell in love. Don’t leave anything out.”
“It’s gonna be a long night,” you teased.
“Well, it all started at twilight…”
The end

Love is better then Blood
Vampire Au Oneus x fem reader
Part 1
Genre: Fluff and angst
Warning: Blood and death
Tumblr media
It's was seven in the afternoon and I was getting done with sweeping the floor at Sammy sunset Cafe. Sammy was a friend of mine and the owner of the cafe, she helped me get a job here. Tho it wasn't much, I had to get a job so I could buy rent and bills. Everyday I would be the last person to clean and close up because Sammy trusted me more than the other employees. "Sammy lucky I love her enough to do this shift" I said to myself putting the cleaning supplies away and gather my belongs so I could lock up for the night.
When I was just about to lock the front door, a person in black was standing on the other side of the closed door. It was a guy but I couldn't tell what he look like when the person had a hood on and was wearing a mask. "Sir we're close, you'll have to come back tomorrow?!" I said locking the door hoping he got the hint. Before heading toward the back door and left the cafe area.
I was tired and sore from doing a lot of moving boxes. As I was heading home, I felt like someone was following me. I turn to look behind me to see the same guy before but this time he was behind me. Something about him was off, very off as started to walk to me. Not wanting to know what would happen if I were to get caught.
I started to run away
I kept running and running
I knew I wasn't safe but then some one grabbed my arm and yank me back. "let me go!" I yelled as the person pulled me to an alley where no one was around. "I'm going to enjoy draining you from your blood" The guy said as he held me by the throat and remove his mask for me to see fangs.
I closed my eyes shut as the guys start to move his face towards my neck. As I waited for me death to happen sudden the grip on my neck was gone.
I open my eyes to see if the guys was there but to my surprise the vampire guy was being held by the neck in the air. There wasn't one but six guys standing front of me with their back facing me. "You low rank vampires gets on my nerves" The guy hand the vampire by his neck said before two of them grabbed the vampire by his arms.
"What are you doing let me go!" The vampire said struggling to get free from their grasp. "Consider this as your punishment you filth" The taller guy said before the two guys rips the vampire arms off. Before he could even scream, the black hair guy torn his head off. I gasp in shock as blood was everywhere.
I wanted to say something but I was to scared to speak after witnessing a event before me. One of the turn and looks at me which made me flinch a little:
Tumblr media
"You alright miss?" The guy ask in a worry tone. So much had happen today. My vision start to blacken as my felt weak. Next thing I know I was picked up by someone but couldn't tell when I blacked out.

Hey can I get a Vampire!Seonghwa scenario where they're having a meeting with all the clans again and her previous master is there but unlike last time, he sees her. He then offers to buy her back from Seonghwa? Thank you
Finally Seonghwa's pet's owner has a name.
Vampire!Seonghwa and pet!reader
Clan meetings always made you nervous, especially since you were constantly worried that you would see your previous master again.
You had continuously tried to put his name out of your mind but there was no way that you could forget the name Ravn, especially when there was another meeting being held at your master's mansion.
Your mouth was completely dry and your palms sweaty from anxiety as you surveyed the room, seeing multiple unfamiliar faces mixed in with the faces that you knew of the members of the clan Seonghwa belonged to.
'Maybe I should go to my room' You thought to yourself, weaving your way past moving bodies in the room until you nearly slammed right into someone.
Instinctively you looked up and shrank back in fear, seeing Ravn's face staring back down at you in bewilderment.
You bit down hard on your lip as tears filled up your eyes, this was not what you wanted and the only thing on your mind was getting back to the safety of your master.
The clan leader watched you disappear from view, having immediately taken notice in how much more beautiful you were now then before he had abandoned you.
The way you glowed from within was unbelievable to him and he felt that he had to have you back, that you were still his possession in spite of letting you go.
You had taken refuge behind Seonghwa, feeling safer with him then anywhere else in the room.
"Master, he's here..." You whispered, tugging at the back of his shirt out of nervousness since the compulsion overwhelmed you.
"Who's here, little pet?" Your master asked gently as he turned to you, clearly seeing the wet moisture slipping from your eyes and down your cheeks.
"The one who abandoned... me." You shrugged your shoulders, looking down at the floor and hoping that the clan leader would forget about you, in your mind he would easily forget you but something in his face made you uncomfortable.
"It's going to be alright. You're safe, baby." Seonghwa cooed, hooking his arm through yours as a possessive gesture.
You melted into his side, believing his words and finding security in them as you moved your hand down to his, biting back a smile as you tried to hold his hand. Your master looked down at you with a warning in his eyes.
Finally he gave in and wrapped his fingers around your hand, stealing your warmth and reminding himself of how much he needed you in his existence.
Silence fell in the room as the visiting clan leader stepped up to Seonghwa, his focus intent on you.
"Is that your pet?" Ravn asked, a calculating glint in his eyes ignited a surge of protectiveness to rush through your master.
"Yes, she is mine." Seonghwa squeezed your hand firmly, narrowing his eyes at Ravn.
"I've got a bad feeling about this." Wooyoung whispered loudly to San, failing to conceal his words from the personnel present in the room.
Ravn maintained a cool composure, not allowing himself to be deterred by your master's intimidating glare, "I once had her as my pet. I would like to buy her back from you. We can work out a price an-"
"She's my pet. I'm not giving her up to no one. You can always buy another pet to toss onto the streets whenever you want but I'm keeping what belongs to me." Seonghwa growled, leading you away from the meeting and taking you to your own room until the meeting would be finished.
Cheerfulness overwhelmed you at hearing your master's words and you felt extremely happy in spite of the situation.

PROLOGUE
Tumblr media
Tae-dal, one kingdom, six monarchs, a common destiny in a world of nightmares.
Bathed by the winds, fed by rain and sun, the lands of the kingdom were green, fields full of life, and lush forests. Men would worship their rulers almost as much as they worshipped their gods. And that did not please all the deities. Helios, the Sun God, began to envy the monarchs. Drowning in his dark feelings under the distraught eyes of Selene and Eos, he allowed himself to be blinded by his jealousy and proposed the humans a dilemma: their monarchs or life in eternal night.
The frightened humans sacrificed their leaders to the sun god. Isolated, cursed to an endless night, their humanity stripped, the six rulers were banished with their marquis. The latter let resentment and anger be born in them. They had lost everything, forced to live as nocturnal monsters, deprived of the warmth of the sun and the sweetness of human life. They turned to revenge. They turned to a future of blood and death for the humans who had betrayed them. But the monarchs, still attached to the humans, went to war against the marquis. Protecting their beloved people from the barbarity of these vampires.
****
The swords were clashing. The iron blade soiled with black blood sank into the body as easily as a knife into butter. The last grunts of lives corrupted by hatred and the need for revenge echoed through the forest, creating a bloody and terrifying melody within the green trees.
It was a war they could not lose. Despite the fatigue in their bones, despite the pain of the wounds on their bodies, despite the thirst that burned their throats at the sight of all that blood, at the smell of human blood... They could not fall into this dark curse. They will protect their people until the end.
Then they continued to wield their swords. Then they continued to kill again and again the unfortunate one who had entered the den of evil.
****
One day a prophecy came. A prophecy that allowed the Marquis to finalize their revenge. On the evening of an eclipse, a child will be born, and this child will be the solution to bring down on the world an eternal night.
When the child was born on Eclipse Day, the monarchs began a long struggle to protect him. For ten years they fought against the marquis and protected the child. Finally, the last marquis was killed and the child saved, with one last threat in the air: "When the moon turns red, I will come back for the child”.
The night of blood came and an umpteenth battle took place, again won by the monarchs. They sealed the marquis in a necklace. Nevertheless, their existence was still a source of jealousy for Helios, and thus a risk for humans. To protect their most precious possession, the monarchs decided to seal their souls in the necklace. Thus, Helios' gaze turned away from the humans of Tae Dale.
****
The four silhouettes approached the necklace. Such a small object containing a great threat. He knew this was not the best solution when they decided to carry out their plan. But it gave them the rest they needed to continue protecting the child and to rest from years and years of war.
Today was the last threat they faced. One last solution.
- Are you sure we're making the right decision? asked the smallest of the silhouettes.
- If we disappear from before his eyes, he will forget the jealousy in his heart, replied the man next to him.
- This is our last act as ruler of Tae Dale, added a deep, gravelly voice.
- …. For the people, refit the smallest
- For peace, added the deep voice again
- For Tae-dal, made the six men
****
However, a god never forgets his grudge. When Helios found himself mourning his son, his anger and sadness turned back to the monarchs. He put the most powerful curse he could on them, condemning them to an endless sleep in a chamber made of the remains of the solar wagon and deprived them of their powers. Their only escape: the blood of the descendants of the child they love and protect.
Haunted by nightmares and fear, then began their endless rest, and the years passed. But when someone had fun playing with magic, hundreds of years later, the threads of the curse became entangled, and the monarchs were awakened.
However, one does not come out of a nightmare with a pure, white mind. The evil that had invaded the marquis in the past had begun to consume the hearts of the monarchs. And when their eyes fell on the new world.....
- I think that, like Icarus, it is high time to go and burn our wings.
