what do you think stewy's reaction was when kendall went to rehab? I definitely don't think it was kendall voluntarily going, but I also don't think stewy would've went to any intervention for kendall, even if he does recognize kendall actually has problems with drugs 🤔

hmmmmmmmm i actually Do think kendall went voluntarily, mostly because i genuinely can’t imagine anyone in his life who would care enough to force him to go (or have the emotional capacity to show that they care because i Do think the sibs cared/were concerned about his substance abuse but they definitely wouldnt intervene) except maybe rava, but a) i dont think kendall would listen to her and b) if she did it was part of an ultimatum that eventually pushed kendall to check himself in. unless you’re thinking about like, a court-mandated order but idk about the logistics of that, but then yeah, i do think that could be a way that kendall ended up in rehab. (i could also see connor trying to talk to kendall about going but kendall wouldn’t listen to him either and connor wouldn’t push) but Also, i think kendall really would go voluntarily as some kind of attempt to better himself, but not really in a healthy way, more in an all-or-nothing side quest before he got himself caught into logans orbit again, or in some complete toxic mind-shift of like ‘drugs are for the weak my body is a temple’ type bullshit.

anyway back to stewy: Yes, u are so right that he would not intervene, just like the sibs he obviously cares but he would never take it upon himself to get kendall to seek help because he feels that a) thats not his responsibility and b) its not his business. as close as they are and as intertwined as their lives and business becomes, i think stewy very much draws a boundary between him and kendall that they each are granted autonomy as an adult. whatever kendall does is his business and whatever stewy does is stewys business and they can meet in the middle wherever those things might cross, or just enjoy their friendship outside whatever those things may be. and this is for specific things, like rehab or kendalls marriage, which is also something im sure stewy wouldnt touch with a 100 foot pole. obviously the bigger picture stuff, stewy Does get himself involved in, like kendalls vendatta against logan, or trying to get kendall out of the company. but i think in a way stewy sees that big picture as much more viable, if he can fix the root of this, then all the things about kendall that he cant and wont touch will be better for it by proxy. if kendall could just be a normal billionaire without the roy family sickness then he could be normal about drugs, like stewy is.

so to finally answer your question lol: i think ultimately stewy saw as that, none of his business but also thought of it as pointless. i dont think he saw it as a bad thing and i think maybe he did hope something good would come out of it for kendall, but i think stewy never saw kendalls drug problem as a drug problem, i think he saw it as a logan problem, as a Roy problem, so he wouldn’t have had high hopes for this making any significant impact on kendall.

bonus: idk if anyone has even said this but i wanna get in front of it before anyone does, theres also no Goddamn Way that kendall going to rehab or kendall overdosing or kendalls substance abuse would e v e r make stewy think twice about his own drug use. i think stewy fully believes he is the smartest most perfect most balanced drug user in all of new york city and that whatever kendalls relationship to drugs is, no matter how sad or scary, doesn’t apply to him because he has the most perfect relationship to drugs ever (whether that is true or not)

Oh god, Famine telling Dean that hes not hungry bc hes already dead is giving me flashbacks to this one scene in a german mcyt fic I read a few years ago. It was meant to be based on V for Vendetta and it even has that line "Remember, remember the fifteenth November" except I think its actually supposed to be "Remembe, remember the fifth of November" or maybe it was the other way around ? Either way, the fanfic had the wrong line which is a sign of great quality 👍 The actual plot of the fic was that this freaky slenderman-esque man with tentacles n shit broke out of some kind of facility on the same day that some normal guy (who was still a youtuber in this universe just so you know) decided to commit suicide by jumping off a bridge and saw the Slenderman Man running around with his tentacles fully out or something ? Idk, but Slenderman Man is like "I cant risk you telling the authorities you saw me and I cant kill you even though I kill tons of people with my tentacles and other vaguely defined powers bc I only kill bad people and youre pure of heart" and he also cant just let the Youtuber Man commit suicide like he was going to I guess, so instead he takes him to his fancy minimalist apartment in the top floor of what I presume to be a public apartment building in the middle of some big metropolis and from that point on its more of a beauty and the beast story than a V for Vendatta AU (atleast I think so? Idk ive never watched or read it). So theyre bonding and whatnot (Selnderman Man is also going around killing people in the meantime btw) and one evening theyre sitting on the roof top of this tall ass apartment building together and Slenderman Man is waxing poetic about how pathetic humans are bc hes Not Human(tm) and he says smth like "when I look at humans, all I see are marionettes held up by the strings, rope, chains, take your pick, that bind them to society" and Youtuber Man is like "well, what do you see when you look at me?" and he responds "Nothing. Youre already dead"

And the reason I remember it so vividly is because this was on wattpad and on wattpad you have the option to comment on individual lines and I commented on that last line "well, he seems pretty alive for someones whos already dead" trying to make a joke, and a bunch of depressed teens decided to gather under that comment and talk in detail about their mental illnesses and comfort each other and stuff in a very serious manner and it made me so intensely uncomfortable and for like, one or two weeks straight my wattpad notifications were just clogged by this weird conversation that I wasnt even participating in

watching v for vendatta in 2019 feels like a fever dream

Sunday’s domestic living.

It’s a grab bag of a day. Starts with sleeping in, then making coffee for Kimmer. Then shower for me. Then making breakfast ‘cause I’ve gotta breakfast club appointment with a coupla friends of mine at 10.

930 I’m making banana pancakes off a recipe I stashed in Pinterest. Turned out fantastic, by the way. I have ‘em all finished by 10-ish. At which point my friends ‘n I connect on Google Hangouts.

Except... not.

I’m able to connect with one of my friends but not the other. My friends could connect with each other... but not me. So we hop over to Zoom and, by the time we have it all figured out, it's 1030.

Great breakfast time with friends, though. Physical distance, sure... but not social distance. Plus, one of my friends has a great microphone he uses at home, so it’s totally like we’re all on his radio show. :-)

Kimmer spent the morning and early afternoon doing her seamstress thing. She fixed a pair of Linzy’s pants and then moved on to prototyping facemasks based on an FPR 9 air filter.

I spent the afternoon with the latest cut of the edit on which I’m working. Tryina get it out the door to the producer before midnight.

Fingers crossed.

At some point later in the afternoon, Kimmer’s collaborating online with remote tech support to get her laptop to act reasonably for once. Which... it does.

Eventually.

With professional help.

At some point in my work process, I’m exporting my project... so I indulge a little writing and reading. A lovely palate cleanser, as it were.

Evening comes and it’s dinner time. Kimmer ‘n Linzy have done some errand-ing up in Lynnwood. So we have a fresh stock of food to start with... and Kimmer’s heated up some lovely flautas which, I think, are a cross between egg rolls and tequitos.

Maybe.

We add glasses of White Zinfandel to our meal, finishing off the day with “V for Vendatta”, one of Kimmer’s favorite movies.

And that was Sunday.
