Magic Whumpee needing to perform a huge spell for whatever reason and it requiring a significant amount of life force. It starts to take a toll on them, starting to sway and lose their balance — yet never stopping.
Caretaker sees them continuously becoming more and more unstable. As Whumpee stumbles backwards, Caretaker reaches out to steady them, placing a hand on their shoulder and one on their arm.
Even as blood slips from their nose, Whumpee continues the spell, but nods their thanks and reassurance to their worried Caretaker.

An old WIP comic I don't think I'll ever finish haha
This scene is about six months after the Ninao kidnapping incident: in the summer following Yuuki's kidnapping ordeal, Yuuki collapses at the Harrison family's house as the exhaustion of post-traumatic stress and the insomnia that's been plaguing him hit him.
The dialogue scribbled on the art differs slightly from what I wrote in the novel version of this scene, but reads:
"Yuuki, are you alright?"
"I'm fine." ...just a little light-headed
...from this trauma that won't go away.

Ernad - Unsteady
I made this piece a long time ago, and it's part of a series of four (with an extra that was commissioned <3) with my main ships from Dragon Seer. Erof and Nadraya's relationship is the best kind of slowburn and their interactions are so interesting it made me fall for them immediately. I can't wait for the next books <3 This artwork was inspired by @skaylanphear's novel "Deathborne", the first from the Dragon Seer series, and my most recent obsession. I LOVE the way she writes her characters and their relationships, so much flavor <3 I can't recommend this book enough.

Everyday I'm haunted by the crippling fear of losing some people. And i go out of my way, everyday to try and please them. Make sure they do not feel burdened by my existence, I try to make sure they are always happy with me. Putting myself first seems like a crime sometimes. But I wonder if they ever feel the same way about me. Are they scared they might lose me? Do they get worried when I ghost everyone for a day or two because I could not get up from my bed? Do they realise I'm gone when I'm gone for a small while? Do they worry about me? Is everyone really that good or should I just settle by convincing myself by saying that " you don't have to find goodness in everyone you meet".
