You either die begging the homophobic TV network to make your character gay, or you live long enough to see said TV network beg you to make yourself bisexual.
Thinking about how the plot of season 6 wouldn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge the fact that Cas and Crowley working together was an affair, or at least it felt like so to Dean.
Majority of the people that I heard saying that they disliked that conflict, say that it doesn’t make sense because Dean should’ve understood Cas’ point of view. And that Dean has also worked with demons before, more than once, out of desperation. Which is why he doesn’t have the right to be mad. And I understand that. But it wasn’t about working with demons. No. Not really. The thing that hurt Dean the most about Cas’ choice was how he chose to ask for help from Crowley, instead of him. Cas chose Crowley over him.
“Look me in the eye, and tell me you’re not working with Crowley…”
“You’re in it with him? You and Crowley?? You’re going after purgatory together??? You have, huh? This whole time!”
“No, you had a choice. You just made the wrong one.”
“I was there. Where were you?”
The plot literally doesn’t make sense if you do not acknowledge destiel or crowstiel or deancascrowley. And I think that’s insane, especially for a show from 2005.
"your evil dad is sending a secret agent to mpreg you so he can sell your ass baby for profit at his human trafficking auction" <- real actual plot point on thai prime time tv
I don’t know what’s funnier: heller rogue translator or homophobia changing the script and Misha ‘what are they gonna do? Fire me?’ Collins lying about it.
you might think that thee angel castiel yanking a babyfaced grocery store clerk across a countertop and growling "You don't understand. I need pie." [bc dean is mad at me] is something from a silly little supernatural fanfiction. you'd be wrong though.. it's just. a scene from season 8 of supernatural
"Please. I've lost Lisa, I've lost Ben... and now I've lost Sam. Don't make me lose you too." INSANE thing to say to the godmoded fallen angel that just wiped away the wall protecting the aforementioned Sam's sanity. Literally he just broke the person you spent your entire childhood being programmed to protect, and in your mind this is still fixable! He can still come back and be forgiven after that! Don't make me lose you too INSANE show for UNHINGED people. Sera how did you expect us to accept Cas's villain arc when Dean wouldn't even after Cas BROKE Sam's BRAIN?!
All the talk about the destiel reciprocation giving me war flashbacks to late 2020 dealing with this for the first time and now we know the reciprocation was in the OG script I'm gonna once again claim that it was AFTER Cas was taken.
I don't think Dean reciprocated to Cas before he was taken by the Empty.
I think he said "I love you too" or some variation of it whilst he was sitting collapsed on the floor ignoring Sam's calls.
Thats what Jackles had to do additional dubbing for after all. It makes more sense and is more painful if he only says it AFTER and that fits the tone of the scene better. The scene was so clearly chopped up and heavily edited but I still think thats the best place for it.
A whispered fragile broken "I love you too" whilst Dean realises his last chance for real happiness has just been ripped away from him. Yeah.
Liking destiel is basically having to go through feeling overjoyed by how much incredibly gay shit they managed to retain into the show and put on air but also mourn how much incredibly gay shit they deleted and/or cut off along the way.
- parallels Dean and Cas with Romeo and Juliet
- deletes the part where Dean holds Cas’s face
- whatever the hell Endverse destiel had going on
- not include the part where Endverse!Cas says the only thing they have left is each other
- had Dean break Cas away from a brainwashing spell by having him kneel and beg and say “I need you”
- but also replace the original script where he says he loves Cas, and that he forgives him for what he’s about to do (kill him)
- make Dean keep Cas’s dirty, moldy, bloody overcoat because he just missed him that much
- but cut off the part where Dean says “part of me always believed you’d come back”
- paralleled Dean and Cas to Cain and his wife Colette
- then deleted the scene where Dean dreams about how guilty he feels for beating up Cas, while in a bar with bi lighting and Cas gets referred to as his “admirer”
- and also the part where Cas and Crowley has a banter about which one of them is Dean’s boyfriend (yes this is real)
- had Dean go through a widower arc where he becomes hopeless and suicidal because Cas is dead back in s13
- made it seem like it didn’t affect him much when it happens in s15
Between the rogue-not-rogue translator, the apparent insanity of the Riverdale finale, and Destiel and Putin both trending over an American Political Thing (GOP debate)... I must say, I am loving the energy on this hellsite tonight.
Only in Doctor Who you’d have an episode basically being hold hostage and not only a random episode, but the first story of the classical show that aired 60 years ago 🤡
"Imagine if your boss made you" no bestie, listen. Look me in the eyes. Nobody made them do shit. They're all just as deranged as he is, as we are. Evidence? I mean aside from the shipping on main and such? They work as actors on the Derangement Media Experience, the thing no actor who works on it is normal about. Every one of those people was ecstatic to be throwing a birthday party for a fictional little guy.
