at the party that follows they all gather up singing shanties, ed & izzy whispering the lyrics to stede, who is still getting the hang of pirate music

stede & ed are supporting izzy’s back, that is still healing, despite his protests

they are also holding hands (ed-stede, stede-izzy)

jim, archie, olu & zheng are sitting suspiciously close

auntie & jackie instantly become besties

wee john, frenchie, roach & the swede are playing some intricate card game but wee john keeps losing deliberately to go back to his knitting

he’s making sweaters for all of them because Winter Is Coming & none of them have warm clothes

when a seagull lands on deck & refuses to stop pinching ed everyone knows who it is

he stays with them for about a week at a time & always comes back

they made a little nest in the sleeping quarters for him right next to roach & the swede

ed has permanently moved into stede’s room & they’ve made a new bed to fit three people for the nights iz wants some company

they also have room with the rest of the crew for the nights when they prefer to sleep alone.

 ed & fang go fishing almost everyday & after a couple weeks they don’t need to speak & just sit in comfortable silence

stede keeps training with iz, taking turns fighting zheng & jim

when ed returns one day with fang & sees stede beating all three of them he wants to fight him more than ever. their duel goes on for a long time, the bets placed by the crew reaching extreme heights. in the end stede knocks him down & disarms him. everyone, especially pete, lose their fucking minds

at night stede still reads them stories, sometimes new from recent books he’s gotten, but usually the now familiar fairy tales calm them down the most

sometimes stede, ed, iz, jim, archie, olu, zheng, lucius & pete go on date nights where they try different food, listen to music, sharing sweets

frenchie, wee john, fang & roach can often be seen sticking together, not really seeking any romantic or sexual relationship, but simply wanting companionship

when izzy’s unicorn hoof finally gives out he is absolutely heartbroken so of course the entire crew go out to find him the most durable materials to make him another one

they give it to him the next day & it’s decorated by stede, lucius & surprisingly zheng

wee john has also knitted him a leg warmer for whenever he needs a break from the prosthetic

iz obviously loses his shit when he sees it & totally doesn’t call them twats

then they all proceed to fall on top of him to engulf him in an annoyingly wet hug, ed & stede sneaking two kisses on his cheeks

they often have themed parties to make use of stede’s unending secret wardrobe

wee john, iz & jim rule these parties being the best drag queens & king

after a couple years they dock on a small, peaceful town. everyone immediately loves it there & that’s when stede & ed decide to retire

they use ed’s treasure to buy a large building & the whole crew work together to turn it into an inn

 they officially open ‘The Gentle Unicorn Inn’ (ed chose the name)

they also have a little tavern right next to it called ‘Jeff’s’ (they have a lot of fun whenever someone asks ‘who’s jeff?’)

ann & mary regularly pop by & drop off some antiques ann’s looted, for stede to either keep or even sell

every couple of months or so the crew visit for a few days & all of them have designated rooms in the inn

sometimes ed & stede close for a week or so to go on a little trip on the ‘revenge’ with the crew

izzy will go & stay with them more often than the rest of them & even though he doesn’t have his own room he has no problem staying at stede & ed’s

he always sleeps in the middle of their bed

It wasn’t like Izzy was going to stay dead.

Who the fuck do these fucking stupid half-assed pirates think they are? Burying him? He was their unicorn, for God’s sake, they said so themselves. They gave him a leg! They ruined Stede’s stupid figurehead so he could walk normally, and he hadn’t cried—he hadn’t—but he’d thought they were okay now.

So why in the good sea’s name was he buried? And buried in dirt, instead of being tossed into the sea like a true pirate? If they were trying to kill him by premature burial, the least they could do was bury him right.

Those incompetent bitches. He was going to kill them, as soon as he got the dirt and insects out of his mouth. They tasted disgusting.

He’d been clawing at the dirt above him for a while now (maybe hours, maybe minutes, you can’t expect him to know when he was trying to preserve oxygen and not die, and plus it didn’t really matter because he was going to get out). Finally, after his fingers had had the skin scratched off of them, and after his nails had turned brown, full of fucking dirt, he saw a patch of light. 

The sun! Oh, the glorious sun, he was so happy to see it, for once. 

He began trying to sit up, and did so with ease despite being buried for however long. He had core strength, that’s why. Unlike those idiots back on the Revenge, he actually trained his body, and made it fit enough to survive whatever the Cruel Mistress called the Sea threw at him, whether it be storms or fights, cannonballs or, now, he supposes, being buried alive. They hadn’t even pressed the dirt down, which meant it wasn’t dense enough, and he could get easier than you’d want from a grave.

Though, he supposes they didn’t expect him to rise from the dead. Or maybe they wanted to make it easier? He wouldn’t know. All of them were idiots.

The first thing that makes it out of the grave is his hand: it sticks up completely, as if reaching for the sky and the sun, wanting to grab it, and for some reason Izzy imagines an undead creature doing it, and he imagines how Roach or Frenchie would call it something idiotic, like… he doesn’t know, ‘zimzam’, or something of the sort? Izzy doesn’t know, he's not like them. 

(Though maybe he wishes he was.)

He grabs whatever is near the grave, and pulls himself up, up,up. Until his head bursts out of the dirt and he can open his eyes and actually see, observe the almost barren island around him, with a rundown looking house—more like a shabby, run-down shed, really, in the near distance. He watches as the sky clears and becomes blue, and as the sun shines on his face, and doesn't that feel nice? He appreciates some of Bonnet’s enthusiasm for life in that spare moment.

Which is obviously completely ruined when he  turns around and sees his unicorn leg, which had been turned into a cross.

“I’m fucking Jewish,” he says, exasperated, and most certainly done. Of course they wouldn’t know that about him. The crew of the Revenge could barely remember his last name, and he’d never told them he was Jewish anyways, and of course Ed wouldn’t remember, that bitch.

He’s crawling out of that grave, and then he’s pulling apart the ropes on the grave marker, freeing his leg from that symbol. It takes a second to readjust the leg: it’s difficult when he’d been buried for however long, and his arms ache from disuse. 

He’s completely out of the grave now, though, so that’s a plus. He’s sitting on the grass, and he’s close to the sea, and it’s nice and quiet and serene, and he thinks he could get used to this. Maybe he won’t have to see Ed or Stede or any of those others anyways (but maybe he still wishes he could see them, he really does).

The peace, obviously, doesn’t last.

“Izzy?” And it's so soft, so concerned, so, so, achingly longing. “You bitch,” he says, turning around, and seeing, ten feet away, Stede and Ed standing there, watching him, dressed completely unlike themselves (what have they gotten themselves into, this time?).

“You bitches,” he modifies and, glaring, he says, “I’m Jewish.”

Yeah actually I'm going to start talking about twn purely within the context of the horses only.

Friesian roach should never have been cast. Hot take. Hugo is a beautiful horse but using a Friesian is such an annoying trope in fantasy. Use a different horse please. I'll even accept a PRE. Anything but a friesian.

Also can we acknowledge that they bungled the age of the previous roach. Roach is played by three different horses in s1 and that's simply never acknowledged!! She would have been 30+ when she dies in s2!!! Anyway, the main roach in s1 is called Zeus and he also plays roach in s2. But the roach in season 1 episode 2 and in episode 6 are different horses, not Zeus.

Also if I'm right about the horse that plays Ihuarraquax (the unicorn) ((I could be wrong)), his name is Pinocchio and he appeared in s2 when cahir and yennefer were fleeing from aretuza.

Jim is trembling as they watch Izzy, watch him bleed out ( this was not supposed to happen, they were all supposed to get back to the ship together, safe and sound, and yes, the odds of Stede's plan going well and none of them being hurt were long but then again that kind of thing usually happened on this ship, with this crew, they always made it through to fight and laugh another day, together... why isn't it happening now, why is Izzy bleeding out on the deck, growing more and more alarmingly pale with each passing moment? ), watch him apparently say his goodbyes, watch him give up, and they are not sure if they're trembling from shock, adrenaline, grief or anger, most likely the mix of all four, but they sure as hell are not going to just stand there and accept Izzy's death as inevitable, not when he is still breathing.

They already kept him alive when it didn't seem possible, when Ed Blackbeard shot his leg off, and they are gonna do everything in their power and more to keep him alive now, because losing him is not an option. Period.

They move forward before they even make the conscious decision to do so, blinking back tears to focus on what needs to be done.

❝ Save your speech for another day, idiota, you are not going anywhere, ❞ they say, a bit matter-of-factly, a bit angry, because why on God's green Earth is the most stubborn, most determined man they've ever known is suddenly giving up the fight is beyond them, as they kneel beside him and Ed, pulling their own borrowed naval coat off to press against his wound hard enough to slow the bleeding, hard enough to hurt, and look up at the others, all gathered around and frozen with tears in their eyes and Jim wants to shake them all out of their stupor, shake them so hard those sad expressions fall from their faces and they remember that they can actually do something useful instead of standing there and passively accepting what is happening as inevitable like Izzy is doing and really what is wrong with everyone right now?!

But they can't shake them because they have to keep pressure on the wound so they settle for calling out, their voice ringing out sharply across the deck,

❝ What are you all standing there for?! Roach, Frenchie, Archie, Fang, Stede, get over here! ❞

hoping that calling each individual name will somehow help but when nobody moves still, they feel angry tears brim in their eyes all over again, and one of their hands shifts from the coat (they double down with the other hand to make up for it), finding the hard wood of the leg they all came together to make for Izzy what feels like a lifetime ago through the fabric of the naval trousers he's wearing, and it somehow bolsters their resolve.

Tribute

Years have passed since the end of piracy. For these two, anyway. They’re sun-kissed and beach-waved but spend most of their time landlocked these days. As does their crew. And most of their ship, which has retired with them; the remains of it have formed the bones of their new home: it's a small restaurant, for now, and a couple of beds. They’ve kept the name too. The Revenge. Bar and grill. And inn. And fishing equipment.

They’re opening tonight. It’s been busy, prepping, but not busy enough to distract a very excited Stede from the whispers outside. “Our first guests!” he squeaks. He waves Ed over to the door and puts a finger to his lips. Ed pauses what he’s doing and leans in too. He recognises the voices.

“I don’t know if they’ll accept this…” 

“Don’t be stupid, ‘course they’ll take it.”

“They’ll love it, babe.”

“You didn’t think to ask?”

“Hey, you didn’t ask either!”

“It’s not as sentimental if you ask!”

“Ask what?” Stede pulls the door open. He and Ed are simultaneously struck by the figure of a life-sized unicorn, on their threshold; front hooves raised rampant.

“We brought you a present,” Jim says. “For opening night.”

Stede’s jaw drops. He pushes his way out of the door - there’s not much space with the hooves at eye-poking levels and the crew all clustered around. But he’s entranced. He walks a circle around the unicorn. It appears to be carved from cherry wood, and the craftsmanship is excellent. They must have been saving months for this. For them.

“We just figured, he should be with us,” Wee John offers. “On the new journey, ‘n everything.”

Ed stares from the doorway, tears shining in his eyes. He’d put Izzy’s old ring round his neck, on his slowly disintegrating cravat, so that he could have him here with them tonight. He’d never dreamed of having such a beautiful tribute instead.

“If it’s too much,” Lucius offers, “or too soon, we can-”

“Don’t even think about it.” Ed lunges forward, scooping Lucius into a fierce bear hug. “It’s perfect. I know just where to put it, too.”

They settle the statue in prime position; widely visible and widely able to observe - were its eyes actually seeing - as much of the facility as possible. They figure, Izzy would approve. Ed unties the cravat from his own neck, and the emerald ring tied into it, and affixes it around the unicorn’s well-crafted withers. It gleams in the lantern light. As does, upon closer inspection, its lower left leg. Painted gold.

“Oh,” Stede murmurs, clutching at Ed’s arm. “Isn’t that lovely?”

Ed squeezes back. 

“What’s that for?”

Between the hooves is a plank of wood with a round indentation in it, as a saucer or a candle holder would have. In answer, Frenchie raises a glass and tucks it into the space.

“Oh, that’s for his whiskey,” he explains. “Customary to share one at the end of the night, innit? Gotta keep the fairies happy.”

“Fairies.” Roach nods.

“Hmm,” Oluwande interrupts. He frowns exaggeratedly at his crew mates as he pushes his way to the front and holds up - more like, shows off - a bottle of Japan’s finest. “I thought I heard it was the start of the night, what kept the fairies happy.”

“I have heard that, I’ve heard that,” they verify.

“Right then!” Stede declares. He takes the proffered bottle and cracks it open. Ed is already passing out the glasses almost as fast as he can pour. “To the fairies!”

“To the fairies!” they chant.

“To the Revenge!”

“To the Revenge!”

He splashes a healthy dose into the glass at the statue’s feet. Pauses a moment, to raise his own glass with purpose.

“To the Unicorn!”

“To the Unicorn!”

The Witcher Headcanon (Modern AU) - Geralt's Van

Geralt has a thing for vintage stuff, so Yennefer wasn't a bit surprised when he came home from a contract with a barely running 70's model Chevy full size custom van.

It had been thrown in as a bonus by the man who'd hired him after he noticed Geralt eyeing it. It had been a convenient way to get the old vehicle off his hands.

It was sh*t brown, with the classice yellow, orange and red stripe design on the sides. Or it would be, if not for the patches of faded paint and rust.

The inside was just as worn: a heavily stained backseat that pulled out into a bed. Ratty old under seat box speakers, and a small wall mounted liquour cabinet.

The interior was done in rotting wood paneling, and the floor was covered in puke green, very worn shag carpeting that was so matted down, it couldn't have been fluffed back up with a rake.

There were even two broken old milk crates that looked as if they had been used as extra seating. And of course it smelled like stale alcohol, the cigarette ash, illegal substances, and incense. Perfectly normal for a "Shaggin' Wagon"

Yennefer thanked all the gods that it didn't have the traditional artwork on the side involving dragons, unicorns, wizards, and naked fairies.

She said as much when she'd first seen it and questioned Geralt's decision making capabilities.

Geralt had named it 'Roach'. Yennefer called it The Creeper Van, and Jaskier made all kinds of drug and sex jokes about it. Ciri refused to be seen in it, or even in its general vicinity.

Geralt began slowly restoring it between contracts. The day finaly came when he and Jaskier tore out the entire interior. Yennefer had never seen so many cockroaches, or heard Jaskier scream so loud.

She'd straight up cackled when both of them had fallen out of the van and scrabbled on the ground in a panic, swatting at themselves and screaming. Everybody's gangster until the cockroaches start flying.

Geralt had redone the interior in a cabin theme, complete with full rustic wood interior, faux wolf fur blankets on the bed, and dark brown shag carpeting. And of course string lights.

He'd added a few vintage tin signs, some truly hideous vintage plaid curtains, and a chair made out of half of an old whiskey barrel.

Geralt spent a few weeks trying to decide how to have it repainted. He had kind of grown fond of the original paint job and wanted to just have it redone.

Yennefer had suggested he should paint it white with a picture of Pedobear on the side so he could keep with the classic Creeper Van theme.

Jaskier hadn't been any more helpful with his suggestion of a tie-dye Magic Mushroom theme.

Ciri had suggested lighting it on fire and rolling it into the nearest body of water.

She was apparently still mad at Geralt and Lambert for trying to pick her up from school in it.

It was embarrassing enough for your Dad and Uncle to pick you up in a lame, old a** van, but did they also have to be blasting Dragula? Not that she had anything against the song, it was just that...why did they have to be headbanging???

At least Jaskier had a cool motorcyle and would let her pick the music!

Geralt ignored his friend's unhelpful suggestions and took the van to be repainted. Yennefer had, inspite of herself, been unable to keep from smiling. He'd gone balls to the wall.

He'd kept the brown with the stripes, but on BOTH sides was the obligatory airbrushed scene. Yennefer shook her head fondly as she examined the scene.

A massive, fierce golden dragon roared from a mountain top, while a sexy sorceress ( who bore a striking resemblance to Yennefer), sat astride a rearing white unicorn (he couldn't leave out their inside joke) with flaming hooves and ligthning bolts shooting out of its horn. Two snarling wolves with glowing eyes bristled at the unicorn's feet. There was also a tiny, naked fairy sitting on the sorceress's shoulder.

Yennefer tried to hide her smile. The fairy on the left side of the van was delicate and beautiful. The fairy on the right side was also delicate, but her face looked like the artist had used this side of the van for practice. Her face was not exactly feminine...

"I see you included the naked fairy." Yennefer remarked

Geralt: *smug hm*

It kind of looks like Jaskier

No it doesn't!

Ciri *completeing her walk around of the van* Why does this fairy look like Jaskier?

IT DOES NOT!

Jaskier had laughed his a** off when he'd seen it.

So had Geralt's brothers, and Right Side Fairy was officially named 'Jaskier'.

Roach became Geralt and Jaskier's mobile Man Cave. They never had to worry about finding a place to sleep when they were traveling on the Path.

Even Ciri warmed up to it, and found it was a nice place to hang out and listen to Jaskier work on new songs. The sound system Geralt had installed under the backseat/bed was top quality, and the string lights made it feel like a cozy little backyard bar.

Geralt did get pulled over a few times, not for drug searches, but for photo ops from admirers. It wasn't evey day you saw a restored vintage rolling rumpus room.

But there was one time Geralt got into trouble in the van. He had a bad habit of pulling over when he saw Jaskier walking in town and picking him up.

He'd been driving around downtown with Lambert, when he'd seen Jaskier coming out of the recording studio. He'd pulled over, and Lambert had whipped open the sliding door and dragged a startled Jaskier inside.

They'ed almost been arrested when bystanders called the police, thinking they were witnessing a kidnapping. Yennefer had portaled over and spoken to the cops just in time to save their backsides. She never let them live it down.

Solitary Confinement

Izzy works out what he can and can't do as a spirit. Also on AO3.

Izzy was once again back on the deck of the Revenge. It was a bright sunny day and it didn’t look like anything harrowing or dangerous was going on. Izzy frowned, sort of. He still perceived himself as a being with a body but he knew the others couldn’t see him. So far Olu, Jim, and Roach had passed by him without a twitch. 

Izzy went to the Captain’s cabin to see what Stede and Ed were up to. But they were not there. In fact there was no sign of Ed or Stede. What had happened to them? Had Ed left piracy like he was thinking about? How long had Izzy been gone? 

Izzy walked around the ship. Things were strange. If he either concentrated or let familiarity take the lead he could walk around as if he were back in his body. But then sometimes he would move faster or slower than he should. He could float around above the ship. 

Izzy tried to leave the ship at one point but the world would get fuzzy and then he would be back on the ship. He tried to focus on Ed or Stede and go to them but he couldn’t go there either. He must have been needed on the ship. 

“Alright. Practice. This is for practice.” 

Izzy went up to one of the ropes and tried to touch it. He could sort of wrap his ghostly hand around the rope and his mind made him sort of feel it. But he couldn’t move it. He tried over and over again to move the rope just a little bit.

“Fuck!” Izzy yelled. No one could hear him. He growled and decided to go to the galley where most of the crew was gathering for lunch to just be there with them for a little bit. 

Everyone seemed to be doing well. Roach was passing out the plates and groups were chatting about this and that. Izzy felt a little sad at not being able to join in.

“We should stop by to see how Ed  and Stede are doing with the Inn,” Wee John said.

“Could we Captain? We’re close by?” Jim asked, looking at Frenchie. 

Oh. Frenchie was Captain. Well that certainly fit with the general vibe of Bonnet’s crew. Frenchie certainly had the charisma and smarts for being a good Captain, along with the caring and kindness of Bonnet's type of sailing. Frenchie was a good choice, Izzy thought.

From what the group was saying it seemed like Ed and Stede had retired to run an Inn. Interesting choice. Maybe Izzy could see the Inn one day. 

For the moment though he had to get back to practicing how to interact with the world. 

Izzy blinked out of existence again then came back. He only knew that he’d gone out because they were suddenly nearing an island when before they were far out at sea. He tried to shake the odd feeling off. 

Izzy followed the group to Ed and Stede’s Inn. The group ahead of him was stopping briefly at a cross in the grassy dunes. Izzy stopped and looked at it. 

“Fuck…” 

His grave. It was his own grave they were stopping by. Izzy felt overwhelmed by it. They had buried him? Ed had chosen to bury Izzy close to where he was living? Izzy looked down at the dirt. 

Hours passed in the blink of an eye and Izzy panicked when he realized it and he hoped he could still go into the Inn and see Ed and Stede.

The Inn was…not much of anything yet full of half finished projects and broken windows but it looked like it could turn into something. One thing it did have a was a name. The Unicorn Inn. Was that for him as well? Izzy went in and saw the group gathered around a long table eating and talking and laughing. Ed looked good. He looked happy. 

“How long have I been dead?” 

Izzy didn’t know. He couldn’t tell. It didn’t really matter did it? But it still felt odd and overwhelming. He looked around at the happy group he could not interact with and felt so alone. Surrounded by all his friends and family and he was so alone. 

It was a strange state of solitary confinement. Izzy couldn’t take it anymore and left the happy party and went to sit out by his grave. He cried. Or at least thought he was crying or some fucking thing.

How the fuck was he supposed to figure this out? Fuck. Maybe he had made a mistake. He still felt like he had a duty to his crew, he wanted to help but he didn’t know how to do it! 

Izzy heard, or sensed, something and looked up to see Jim coming down the path with a lantern and a bottle. 

“A drink for you Izzy,” Jim said plopping down next to the grave and pouring some of the liquor out of the bottle onto the grave. 

“Thank you Jim,” Izzy said, wishing they could hear him. Jim took a swig from the bottle and set it down by the grave. Izzy closed his eyes and thought about his family and tried to focus on the good times. He couldn’t interact with them but it was clear that they still remembered and loved him.

Izzy thought about how much he loved the crew and reached for the bottle. It tipped over. 

Jim gasped and went still, “Izzy?” 

“I’m here Jim,” Izzy said. Jim lifted their lantern and looked around and Izzy knew they couldn’t see him. 

Jim sat the lantern down and took another swig from the bottle, “We miss you Izzy. I miss you. Ed and Stede named the Inn after you, well it’s the Unicorn but it’s for you. I…took your glove.” Jim held up their gloved hand. Izzy reached out and touched it and Jim gasped. 

“I’m glad you have it,” Izzy said. 

“See you again soon Izzy,” Jim said as they left. 

“Hopefully not too soon,” Izzy said with a sigh. So he could interact with them, a little bit, and he could move objects if he tried hard enough. It wasn’t completely futile then. It was still a strange existence to not really exist at all and to barely be able to interact with the world. He wasn’t in control of coming and going and where he popped up when he did come back to the world of the living. He was just going to have to come to terms with his new reality.  

“I will be here for you all, out of duty and out of love,” Izzy said. The world around him started to fade again and he wondered what would be going on when he popped back up again.

Username origin: Got it from the side of a Kellogg’s Unicorn cereal box where you search for your “Unicorn Name”. My name begins with an “M” and it was next to the word “Violet”. My birthday is in October, and that was next to “Feather Wind”. It’s also where I got the idea of giving myself purple feather earrings, even though I don’t own any.

Goals: Creating an independent animation studio where I can create original projects/becoming an animator

even though i felt my hometown truly truly sucked

and they killed the gay man who ran the town diner

and it smelled like cow shit because there was a farm right on where the two main streets intersected

and it's now an 'ATV route'

and we didn't have a single fast food restaurant

and we didn't have a single traffic stop light

and i was always growing up in the trailer court because it was 3 blocks from my house and at least had ducks to feed for fun (pretty much the highlight always was looking forward to going to the trailer park which also had a mysterious woods and hiking that i adored) and my grandma lived in it

when the other entertainment wasn't spinning around in circles to get dizzy

building blanket forts, of course drinking from hoses, waterbaloons

and of course on special occasions completely flooded streets to get out an innertube and swim in the streets oh that was always the most magical

digging through garbage cans at the park dodging wasps picking out every not-totally-dirt-covered sticky dirty used soda can i could and stomping on it and putting it in a bag to sell it later

along with all the other unattended stuff everyone from Gen X is constantly bragging about

where was i going about this i lost myself on my childhood being better than yours

even though I went to the literal worst school in Dane County i think... there might have been one worse school in some urban neighborhood like maybe a magnet school for problem children or i dunno

the thing about growing up 25 minutes outside of Madison, a very solid city for an American one even with some major fucking flaws namely some real bitch ass gay men who absolutely do not make you feel welcome and nobody gets a crumb unless they get it first sometimes just ugggh

well the point being

it sure makes 'discovering the rest of the usa' into what is not usually a treat

but rather more of a disappointment

overall, generally speaking

being that i don't want to live anywhere near my asshole dad and brother after what they did to me, all the things they did to me

i guess i miss out on madison and am still

I am a birth mother too which means I carried a child for an awesome couple who couldn't have children.

My 13 year old is a cancer survivor. He had Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and almost died. I thank GOD every day that he is here and we have a chance to see him grow and become the awesome human that he is.
