Vox can understand Velvette just fine. They don't necessarily need to get along all the time, but they have a mutually beneficial contract that guarantees her support in the most efficient way possible, just how they both like it, short and strict and to the point. Vox does not understand Valentino. It drives him unimaginably, disgustingly insane. He knows how to handle him, make no mistake. Valentino is a never-ending powerhouse that wrangles out content from his employees like there is no tomorrow. He's proven himself to be Vox's most lucrative investment yet. He is resourceful, well-connected and most importantly predictable enough to rein in. Because he listens to you, because he needs you.

He is also, undeniably, out of his goddamn mind. Yet you've already invested too much in the corporate empire you've built together and there is no point turning back now that you have him so close to your side. It's OK however! He couldn't possibly be stupid enough to throw away the best partnership deal he's ever had just for the sake of something petty cause -oh, wait - he genuinely might just be that stupid and you never would've guessed because he's so cocksure of his bullshit that 80% of the time it ends up working in his favor anyway.

Fuck his life indeed. The kicker for this of course is that Valentino, genuinely does believe he has struck gold with Vox. Valentino is a clingy, possessive, immature, perverted, sadistic, egotistical man-child with severe rage issues and zero impulse control. No he is not aware of this at all. No he does not know why nobody is able to tolerate him and why every single person he gets close to hates his guts with every inch of their burning rotting souls. All he knows is that hell has now given him a flat faced prince in shining liquid crystal armour, riding on a cash filled horse with promises of power and luxury, who's practically handing him success on a silver platter. Doesn't mean that Val trusts him, doesn't mean he doesn't enjoy seeing him lose his shit. But at the end of the day vox has his back, and as long as Val keeps calling for him, he'll eventually turn up and make everything better. Cause hey if Vox hasn't left him yet for this long he must be doing something right. Right?

The fact that Blitz knows so many famous people. He dated Verosika, is having a thing with Stolas, knows Fizzarolli, and now Asmodeus. He kind of knows Bee and Mammon... kind of-

Idk I just find it really funny. Like Moxxie, Millie, and Loona are all like "its you????" ya know, that one line from episode three. But honestly, it seems like him being him is working-

(I know the others know famous people too, like Loona knows Bee, Millie and Moxxie probs know Stolas a bit too, but like I feel like Blitz somehow just has more personal connections with them, save for Bee and Mammon ig, but I can see him and Oz becoming good friends and I stand by that. Also I can definitley see Mammon and Bee remembering him so that still counts as knowing them-)

On my walk home from the cafe I was thinking about Sanji (as one does) and how every influence in his life for 19 years screamed at him to hunker down, stay silent, and never appear weak.

As much as I love Zeff and know he loved Sanji, it's clear he has such a straight-laced and unflinching view of masculinity and what it means to be a man. The environment on the Baratie was an extension of that.

It was a machismo world where affection was hidden behind kicks to the head and insults. The kind of environment where cutting your hand or something gets a response of "what? You call that an injury? Don't cry over nothing". Where outright kindness has to be dragged out of people, and then immediately covered up with a half-baked insult.

Throw into that environmemt a little boy who is desperate to prove he's not the failure he was told he was, and out pops a man who wears his heart on his sleeve for "acceptable manly emotions" but who hides real emotions behind anger, and hides pain (physical or emotional) altogether so as not to seem weak.

Tack onto that the idea that the only surefire way to show love is through self sacrifice (his mom + Zeff), then of course Sanji will be all sorts of jacked up.

We see throughout the series how Sanji is so unwilling to be vulnerable or to even admit he's feeling hurt at all. Plaster a smile on, make some comment about loving women, and voila! He's the man's man everyone expects. No need to worry about him. After all: he's strong.

Random Eddie headcanons (feat. Wayne) for a happier timeline where vol. 2 didn't happen:

The first time Eddie didn't pass senior year it was because he skipped classes and homework to practise guitar, because who needs a GED when you're gonna be a rock star?

Second time he failed it was because he ended up in hospital after getting beaten up, missing vital exams. He didn't mind though, it was for a good cause.

Eddie isn't stupid, he's actually pretty clever. He is just incapable of paying attention if he's bored, or if he has zero respect for the person teaching him.

He and Mrs O'Donnell have an ongoing feud because he proved her wrong once in front of everyone, and he knows that she marks him down because of it. It's a running joke in that class now.

He and Wayne go fishing every few weeks. Eddie cannot fish for the life of him, but Wayne enjoys it. To entertain himself, Eddie takes a battered acoustic into that boat and plays the Beatles because 'the fish like it'. (It's for Wayne really).

Wayne also loves camping, but Eddie hates it. They go away for a couple of weeks and 'rough it' by sleeping in a couple of battered tents under the stars, and it always takes Eddie a full year to recover from the trauma and agree to go again.

When he was a kid, Eddie's dad used to beat him and his mom, and one day he went too far and killed her, landing himself in prison. Wayne had recently come back from service, immediately took the kid in and disowned his brother for what he'd done.

Eddie had always been a creative kid. If he couldn't be a rock star he'd 'settle' for being a tattoo artist. He draws as often as he plays guitar.

Wayne has a friend that co-owns a tattoo parlor that's willing to take him on, but only after he graduates.

After Vecna, when Eddie was recovering in hospital (hushh, he's FINE, damn it), Wayne would read to him while he slept. He and Dustin got to know each other a little, too.

Some Steddie influenced headcanons:

Wayne has no problems with Eddie dating guys, girls, whatever, as long as he doesn't 'hear anything'. He is very wary of Steve at first though, thinking his nephew is only going to get his heart broken.

Eddie gets on strangely well with Steve's dad, even if he does refer to him as 'Steven's friend'. They had an intense 'discussion' at a family dinner, even though they disagree completely at a fundamental and political levels. Steve's astounded, but lets it go.

Steve never calls D&D by its real name, only things like 'dingbats and dumbasses'. He's getting very creative, and Eddie finds it hilarious. Dustin hates it.

Steve's plays exactly one game with the party, and is banned for constantly messing with Eddie by either trying to do dumb things (ie that meme where the guys are trying to seduce a door), or by playing footsie under the table.

love the idea of eddie being mike’s gay awakening and then he stops writing or calling will as much because he realizes his feelings for him

Steve making a joke about always falling for people smarter than him and Eddie correcting him by saying "you fall for people as smart as you, you mean" is the reason why Steddie is superior and you need to accept that.

I don't think so. :0 In Rest and Ricklaxation (S3E6) they said that the toxic version is up to the person's definition of their own toxicity. and with Jerry. I think his toxic form would have his cowardice, apologist, and unconfident traits? and any traits he thinks are bad for him.
