Vil Info Compilation part 8: Vil and Leona
One of the earliest interactions we see between Vil and Leona is Vil sarcastically encouraging Leona to capture Grim and Leona telling Vil to do it himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The two overlap again in Book 2, allying against Crowley, who is attempting to retire Malleus from an upcoming Spelldrive tournament.
They are simultaneously competitors and allies during Phantom Bride when they both become motivated to show up Malleus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil adopts new speech patterns in order to make himself more appealing to Eliza (an interaction that was rewritten on NA due to language restrictions) and Leona reacts with “I’d take the regular you over this slimeball.”
When Eliza compares them to Idia they both insist they are “obviously superior”, and Jade observes that “They’ve lose sight of our objective”.
In a vignette Vil notices that Leona has a loose button on his vest immediately before a photograph is to be taken of them together for the school newspaper and insists he fix it for himself.
Leona refuses as, of the two of them, Vil is the only one who cares, and Vil fixes the button for him, exclaiming, “The only think you have going for you is a handsome face. This is why I hate spoiled princelings!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ruggie mentions Vil being harsh when he is “naggin’ Leona about his fashion choices”, so it seems that the button incident was not a rare occurrence.
During Fairy Gala Vil compliments Leona for taking the event seriously, and Leona reveals he simply “got sick of (Vil) getting on (his) case nonstop”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil expresses exasperation at Leona’s willingness to give an earnest effort only when it makes his life easier and calls in Rook and Cater for their guidance.
Leona concedes, preferring them to “spending another minute alone with captain nag here”.
Vil is fairly unique in that he is completely comfortable with and unintimidated by both Leona and Malleus. He calls both princes over to him during Halloween for a picture with a visitor and is able to convince Leona to answer his phone to Cheka, though it immediately results in Leona leaving the party.
In a voice over line we learn that Leona gave Vil an empty pen for his birthday. Vil says, “I think he just pawned it off on me because he couldn’t be bothered to dispose of it otherwise”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite how he does not seem to care what Leona thinks of him, Vil seems to have no patience for Rook inserting himself into Leona’s business: We see Rook looking for Leona during a class, and when Vil expresses displeasure Rook responds, “You don’t need to feel threatened”.
Vil insists that Leona is “just a pretty face” and vies Rook a warning: “While Leona is little more than a good-looking layabout, he is quite troublesome when angered. Do not let your provocations get out of hand.” Rook asks, “Is that an order, sir?”, and Vil responds, “You’re welcome to take it that way”.
Vil tells Rook to join the Spelldrive club if he is so desperate for time with Leona, and says, “I urge you to exercise discretion and ensure that you do not lose (the vice housewarden) seat…because I would replace you immediately if you got our dorm into trouble.”
We later see Rook imposing himself upon Malleus instead of Leona and it seems like he is heeding this warning, as he decides against pushing Malleus too far lest he anger Vil.

Well here is some of the Monsville dorm members interacting with the Twisted wonderland cast. Up left I kinda wanted to show of Leroys invisiblity. Floyd and Leroy mostly hang out a lot and Leroy kinda likes Floyds attitude however with Jade that is a diffrent story. Leroy loves his pranks and in the process also kinda bothers Jade by accident which is why Jade is not really fond of him and also thinks he might be a bad influence to Floyd. At least that is what i came up with for them.
Henry and Epels scene should show how normally Henry seems intimidating, but actually is much more nicer if you actually talk to him.
For the next one I wanted to show of Mellows third eye and his ability to find things easier through this. Which helps out Kalim a lot because he does kinda forget where he puts stuff sometimes. I think they have some kinda secret deal, that Mellow helps him out and can look at some of Kalims treasures and books for it.
Lastly I mentioned in Henrys bio that he gets along with Vil, well he helps Henry with picking outfits for job interviews but Vil can go overboard and miss the goal because he got inspired to try dress Henry like he envisioned. Which is why Henry is kinda taken aback by his choice here.
So much to this picture, next I probably write in detail all of the interactions with every character in Twisted wonderland.
I also planned R, SR and SSR cards.
(Of course i probs will draw nerd Leroy and Idia in the future as well, because of we didn’t have Leroy with his glasses for now)
If you guys have any headcanons, ideas or also interactions with your own twisted wonderland oc, be sure to share them with me, maybe I will draw them if I like em.

Vil Info Compilation Part 4: Confidence and Idia
Vill seems extremely self confident (“Admiration nurtures the seed of beauty. By all means, fall for me.”), dismissing Azul’s compliments as “basic information” and assuring Rook that captivating everyone with his beauty is only natural as he has “attained the height of aesthetic perfection, flawless from every angle.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In a voice line he says “Find a hundred things to compliment about my beauty. Simple enough, I should think.”
When slapped by Eliza during Phantom Bride he reacts with “Have you ANY inkling how valuable my face is?!”, and “How dare you rebuff my advances! You need to get over yourself.”
When Idia tells him “I can’t parade around without worry what other people think of me”, however Vil reprimands him with “I daresay I worry about that more than anyone else…I can’t stand the thought of being exposed to the public, unarmed and defenseless. That’s why I work on myself so I CAN be confident in front of others.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil does not seem particularly fond of Idia: we seem them interact during Beanfest when Vil instructs Idia to join his group and Idia refuses, choosing instead to surrender to the opposite team.
Vil admonishes him with “What irks me the most is how eager he was…We are going to have words when this game is over, Idia!”
Vil describes Idia’s tone as “snide” and refuses to go to his aid during Phantom Bride because “He snubs the company of others, yet we’re supposed to fly to his rescue? I see no reason to indulge such selfish behavior.”
Crowley and Ortho force Vil’s (and everyone’s) participation by threatening to alert the media.
When Vil’s efforts to save Idia fail he congratulates Idia on finding someone who loves him in spite of his bad attitude and refuses to let Idia guilt them into pitying him because Idia tried to sacrifice Vil and Leona to save himself.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil has another frustrating interaction with Idia during Wish Upon a Star, calling Idia “pathetic” for his fears of going out in front of a crowd. Idia claims that “you extroverts might enjoy basking in front of the camera, but I don’t” and Vil responds, “You and your sweeping generalizations. I don’t allow just anyone to post pictures of me online. In fact, sometimes I don’t permit photography at all.”
This conversation inspires Idia to use a jammer to keep people from taking pictures of him during his Star-sending performance.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil seems to have a soft spot for Ortho (Vil does not say “Shroud” in his original dialogue; this was an addition to NA).
When Ortho says that Idia will be joining him at the school’s opening ceremonies Vil expresses his doubt very quietly, saying, “I hope it goes well for you”.
He attempts to invite Ortho to attend the ceremony alone but respects Ortho’s wish to attend only with Idia.
When Idia ultimately does not attend the ceremony Vil calls him “exhaustingly predicable”.

Vil Info Compilation part 7: Epel (pt2)
After being admonished by Vil, Epel runs away and explains to Deuce how Vil has forbade him from speaking in his natural dialect and forces him to wear “frilly uniform shirts”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As he vents his frustrations to Deuce he receives a phone call from his mother, who reveals that Vil has promoted the apple juice produced by their village on his Magicam, saving them from a financially unstable situation.
Epel returns and tells Vil that while “Deep down, (he’s) always looked down on people who care about being cute or charming” he finally understands what Vil meant when he talked about power.
Vil responds, “There is one form of power that can bring people to their knees. It is more overwhelming than violence, more eloquent than word. I speak, of course, of beauty…You were fortunate enough to be born with the weapon called ‘charm’. Whether you sharpen that weapon into something useful or let it rust away is up to you.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Epel says he wants to get powerful enough to beat both Neige and Vil himself.
By the end of Book 5 Epel is asking Vil to allow him to take center stage, saying that he is “a legit poison apple now” and he wants to take Neige down, not see Vil embarrass himself in front of an audience by performing post-overbolt and running out of stamina mid-show.
Vil refuses Epel’s offer, saying that he stills expects Epel “to captivate the hearts of the audience”.
While event timelines can be kind of vague, by Halloween it seems that their relationship has improved: we see Epel try to protect Vil from Magicam monsters who would have uploaded his picture without his consent, which earns him Vil’s gratitude.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
During the Phantom Bride and New Year’s events we see that they are still butting heads—though perhaps less violently than before—and in Epel’s dorm vignette Vil assigns him the task of designing a blastcycle for a film club project, knowing that Epel is passionate about them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Vil admonishes Epel for his initial design and bans him from the dorm Epel responds that the situation is only so frustrating because Vil is exactly right.
Epel manages to create a blastcycle design that is unique to himself and Vil rewards him with the task of driving it to the film club’s location, to Epel’s delight.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the conclusion of the vignette, however, Vil strong-arms Epel into lead role of the film club’s next movie, despite his protests, with Rook insinuating that such a result was Vil’s intention from the start.
Vil comes up again in Epel’s school uniform vignette, where he impresses Seek with a bird carved from an apple at Vil’s behest, as Vil said he wanted to try one at its most beautiful.

Vil Info Compilation part 6: Epel (pt1)
Vil’s first interaction with Epel is when Epel—deciding to be preemptively aggressive to keep from being bullied like he was back home—insults Vil by saying he is “feeble like a woman”.
These comments (and Vil calling Epel “adorable”) were toned down in the NA adaptation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil beats Epel in a magicless, physical fight and explains, “In this school, the rule is that the weak obey the strong…since you lost, you will do as I say.” He insists on Epel improving his appearance, his impolite way of speaking and his attitude, saying “if you want to voice a grievance, you’ll have to beat me in a fight first.”
This interaction forms the foundation for the relationship between the two, where Vil devotes himself to fixing Epel’s outdated, misogynistic mentality and Epel is forced to comply until the day he is able to fight Vil and win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We see Vil correct Epel’s table manners, make Epel say that his favorite food is macarons (when it is not), correct his speech patterns and beat Ace, Deuce and Grim in a fight when they attempt to stand up for Epel.
During Book 5 Vil insists on transforming Epel into “the poison apple that brings (Neige) down”, but Epel is reluctant to perform “girly twisting motions”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil admonishes Epel for gendering movements, saying, “The whole idea of boys being ashamed of doing effeminate dance moves is so last century” and that he expects Epel to get over his “antiquated notions of things being ‘boyish’ or ‘girly’.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Epel argues that he wants to be big, strong and tough, and Vil says, “You speak of being ‘charming’ and being ‘strong’ as though the two are mutually exclusive, when in fact both of them are equally valid forms of power…If you want to be yourself, then become strong and beautiful first.”

Vil Info Compilation Part 3: Effort
Vil seems to prioritize effort over everything else, dismissing the Wish Upon a Star event because “the very notion of eschewing had work in favor of pinning your hopes on a star is inherently flawed”.
When Trey attempts to collect a wish for the event Vil refuses, as “hoping for a miracle without putting in the work to make it happen is the epitome of indolence. I make my own miracles.”
He eventually makes the wish of “quit nagging me right now” just to get Trey to leave.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil explains that he dislikes “people who give up before they even begin” and that he “personally, would rather die than play it safe” and “there are no shortcuts to achieving perfection”.
We get more insight into Vil’s mindset in Book 5 where he says, “sometimes, the more capable you become, the harder it gets to endorse yourself”, “spare me the infantile notion that hard work guarantees a reward” and “the idea that hard work is always rewarded is utter drivel only true in fairy tales”. He says that, “If you do something, you must do it to perfection”.
During the school’s opening ceremonies Vil tells Jack, “You’ll never grow if you constantly rely on others for guidance” and tells his dorm’s newest students that he “will not accept half-hearted efforts”.
Vil says that “plenty of people” have described him as “stoic”, but he seems nothing unnatural about “simply putting in the work necessary to achieve (his) goals”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Ace asks if there aren’t any spells that can skip the diet and training parts of self-improvement and make them instantly attractive, Vil says that magic can only “create a temporary illusion of beauty and allow someone to indulge in a brief dream”, but what he seeks is “genuine, authentic aesthetic perfection. Like the Fairest Queen who earned the Magic Mirror’s recognition.”
Vil references the Fairest Queen fairly often, saying that her “tenacity” and how she “gave her utmost effort to achieve her ideals” is “precisely why she was called the fairest one of all”, which may well be the motivation behind Vil’s own tireless work ethic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil says he never dares to miss an opportunity to accentuate his beauty even further, and Jade says, “It is in Vil’s nature to eternally pursue self-improvement. He is an ambitious man. Exercising in the morning, writing columns during break, modeling after class…and to top it all off, he executes his job as housewarden with aplomb. I’m in awe.”
Jade describes Vil as “strict, both towards himself and others”. However, after temporarily serving as Vil’s assistant, Jade says that in comparison to “someone” he knows satisfying Vil was “like child’s play” and that his “stay at Pomefiore was like a well-deserved break”.
Vil has voices lines about being more than willing to get himself dirty to win (“I’ll show you that there’s more to me than simply beauty”) and having no respect for people who don’t strive to win.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Rook says that “Vil never slacks off, whether he’s learning or training. That’s one of the reasons he commands such respect.”

Vil Info Compilation part 5: Perceptiveness and Physical Ability
In a chat we learn that the Fairest Queen’s “keen, observant nature” is said to have “served to bolster her beauty”, which may be why Vil himself is seen to be extremely perceptive.
He is able to tell that Lilia performs with “none of the youthful vim one would expect from a student”, that Jamil covered for Kalim’s mistakes during Fairy Gala and when Leona has a loose button on his vest.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
He is also able to tell when a group of Octavinelle students is planning on betraying him during Beanfest, saying that “spotting betrayals is trivial” for him, and he makes the connection between the amount of rare gear that Azul is wearing during the event and when, a year prior Azul questioned him about Beanfest “to an unusual degree”.
Vil notices when Cater lies about preparing only three mandrakes for a class assignment, and sees through Jamil’s “lukewarm flattery” when Jamil approaches him for a favor in a vignette.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It is often demonstrated that Vil is very physically capable: he beats Epel in a magicless fight upon their first meeting and, after beating down two Savanaclaw students who are about twice his own size, explains that his personal trainer is a former kickboxing world champion.
He runs faster than his Savanaclaw teammates during Beanfest as well and—after saving Silver from ten members of the opposite team—explains that he “learned quite a bit about martial arts and self defense techniques” from when he played a spy in a TV show.
Vil says, “I had tutoring from a first-rate coach. It wasn’t just kickboxing, either; I also picked up karate an tae kwon do, among other things…I make it a point to maintain a training regimen, to ensure I don’t lose my touch. If I look like as seasoned fighter, that’s why.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil often comes up with unflattering nicknames for those around him, including “half-price potatoes”, “spudlings”, “unwashed spuds”, “mere tubers” and “stumbling vegetables”, referring to Epel’s tsum in the Tsumusted Wonderland event as a peanut.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil occasionally fills the area he is in with sparkles.
Grim says Vil’s legs look longer than the player’s by nearly a meter and the dialogue options are “Such a beautiful person” and “His legs aren’t that much longer than mine…I think”, but these lines were all changed for NA.

Vil Info Compilation Part 2: Beanfest
Vil plays a large part in Beanfest, which Pomefiore prepares for with pre-event stretches, where Vil notices Rook’s recent increase in muscle mass (Rook responds, “Imagining the rush of exhilaration I’ll feel when I capture you is going to keep me up all night!”)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil begins the event by not wearing fragrance (as members of the opposing team like Rook and Jack are known to have particularly acute senses of smell) and beating a pair of Savanaclaw students into submission (with an insult for Leona of “Your handler is utterly incompetent”) so that they agree to team with him, and quote: “You are in the presence of royalty. Now KNEEL.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Savanaclaw students are surprised by Vil’s physical prowess, and Vil explains that his personal trainer is a former kickboxing world champion.
(Note: in the NA version the Savanaclaw students start calling Vil “boss-man”. In the original dialogue they call him "aniki”, which is a gender-neutral term for an older sibling, but not sure what an equivalent would be in English…are there perhaps more gender-neutral ways to express things in Japanese than in English? This also happens where Vil is correcting Epel’s behavior in a different vignette. Considering Vil’s dislike for separating words, clothes, interests, etc, along gender lines and Epel's problems with toxic masculinity, the addition of the word “man” to Vil’s dialogue in a scene where he is correcting Epel is kind of ironic. If it were any other character, then changing the phrasing to the English-language idiom “clothes make the man” probably would have been fine, but the fact that it is specifically Vil speaking to Epel is the perfect storm of “he really wouldn’t say that” ww)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil gives his Savanaclaw team fashion tips during the event that they promise to “pass on” to Leona, as they are “sure he’ll appreciate it”.
In a vignette it is revealed that Vil’s team members would rather not be following his orders at all. Vil saves Silver from a 10-member monster-team attack single-handedly and is betrayed by a group of Octavinelle students who had offered to join him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They recruit Vil’s band of Savanalcaw students, but it is revealed that Vil suspected their motives from the start: he physically overpowers and ties up all the Octavinelle and Savanaclaw students, explaining that he was onto them all from the moment he saw them.
Vil explains talks about a time a costume of his ended up ripped and sabotaged by a veteran actor who had kindly shared acting tips with him, so “spending time among wolves in sheep’s clothing put (him) in the habit of gauging others’ true intentions”. He says, “Spotting betrayals is trivial for me.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Silver requests permission to go to Malleus, which Vil grants, leaving Vil alone to use the Octavinelle and Savanaclaw students as bait. Vil successfully bluffs his way out of a confrontation with Jack and Azul, and Epel says that it is “kind of scary how seriously the monster team is taking this…”
Vil explains, “We’ll never get a chance to play a game of tag on such a massive scale again once we age into adulthood. I saw we seize this transient, chaotic day.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vil adopts Floyd into their group by physically tossing him to the ground, impressing Floyd extremely. Floyd agrees to join them with Vil’s promise to teach him the self-defense technique he used, in exchange.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later on Floyd naturally expresses reluctance to obey, and Vil invokes Azul in order to force Floyd’s cooperation.
Tumblr media
Rook discovers Vil and dismisses Trey in order to take Vil on alone. Thanks to his stamina Rook ultimately wins their fight, but Vil isn’t particularly bothered, saying, “I played to the fullest of my abilities and still lost. That’s simply how it goes sometimes.”
