memory/hope is LITERALLY what wouldve happened to pomme and tallulah had they not have been found. theyre all in the same group (group #002), and all were very hidden from the islanders. tallulah and pomme we know were starving and nearly died from it, waiting for the islanders to arrive. memory/hope was in the exact same situation (hidden from islanders, starving) but never got the luxury of being found. they were too far out, too well hidden. that entire group is like a cruel experiment of how far can the eggs be pushed before they die. and memory/hope was the limit.

theres a reason group #002 is headed by the "department of subsistence monitoring"

Hello I saw your Neuvillette story and I got an idea from I, what if the reader is the reincarnation of a child that he loved as his own but passed away at an early age due to sickness.

"The merchant quickly plucks the loveliest rose he can find, and is about to pluck more to create a bouquet only to end up," Neuvillette reads before being cut off.

"Why didn't the merchant just ask for the roses?" The child asks.

Neuvillette smiles and pats the child's head. After finishing the story, Neuvillette packs up and takes the child back to their home.

"Excuse me?" Neuvillette asks.

"Yes, your child has Eleazar sir," the doctor said.

Neuvillette kept his composure as best as he could. But it was hard, especially when the doctors figured out the child had such an advanced case that they only had a year left.

One year later in the summer, the child died and Neuvillette was a mess. He cried and mourned for so long. He knew he would lose you to old age eventually but now... you didn't even make it to a double digit age.

Neuvillette was forced to take today off because Furina said so. He placed a bouquet of Rainbow Roses on the child's grave and took a walk through the streets. He then saw you, a dirty little child in an alleway. When he saw you, he frowned.

"Who could do this to such an innocent thing?" Neuvillette asks out loud.

Neuvillette's first thought was to give you to an orphanage, but something made him not want to. He got you some food and he started to notice you had the same hair color as his original child.

After he adopts you it takes two years for him to realize you were the reincarnation of his original child.

"Papa, can you read me La belle et la Bête?" You asked.

He does a spit take with his tea. His first child's favorite story was La belle et la Bête, they would beg for him to always read it.

He starts to notice other things about you, how you have freckles in places where your past life had scales thanks to Eleazar.

Now he introduces you to Furina and is slightly more worried about your health, he also never takes you to Sumeru in fear that you'll catch Eleazar.

As much as he loves his original child, he never wants you to feel overshadowed by them. He cares about you and his dead child. He never mentions reincarnation because he doesn't want to give you a crisis.

"Je t'aime... mon petit dragon," Neuvillette says, as he cradles you in his arms.

He puts you to bed and makes sure you fall asleep. Kissing your forehead, he leaves you to sleep peacefully as your music box plays.

im pretty sure the alive egg is a1.

looking back at the vod, you can see on the barrels for group #004 is a sign labeled "□□□ □□" (shown below)

the number of boxes matches up perfectly with "EGG A1"

the tts also hesitated saying "alive". we saw a1 die, yes, but in no way was it made to seem that was their second life or even their only one. theyre just on one life now, but alive somewhere. memory, on the other hand, was in the same group as pomme and tallulah, 2 eggs we know were on the brink of death when they were finally found by islanders. memory is quite literally what wouldve happened to them had they never been found. which is sad to think about but for a diff post i think..

- In the mornings, N makes breakfast for the whole Doorman household. However, due to his size/height (7’11) he tends to accidentally bump things off counters and tables (though it’s mostly his tail’s doing)

- Loves to cook a lot (especially robo cookies or any baked goods), he tries to teach/help Uzi whenever she wants to help too

- Uzi sometimes asks N if he could read a bedtime story for her, which he happily does (Uzi also tells N to not tell anyone about this since she’s “not a kid” anymore (She’s 7-10 yrs old) and that it would be embarrassing if anyone else knew)

- When Khan doesn’t need him for anything, N would either lounge around or read a book (often reading sometimes to make time fly)

- Whenever Uzi gets a nightmare, N would go and sleep with her so she won’t feel alone (he’s also a night light for the little one)

- Overtime, he gains weight (my boi was skinny during the war, he was starving himself trying to save lives) doesn’t technically have a dad bod, but he’s squishy enough for Uzi to cuddle with him (plus he’s warm :3)

- N tends to carry Uzi around, normally piggyback or on his shoulders when they’re out somewhere (it’s a habit, she doesn’t mind though since it makes her feel tall)

- Makes lunch for Uzi and Doll during the school year (he leaves notes inside too)

- Makes bad dad jokes from time to time, he always giggling to himself before saying the punchline and the others would just stare at him blankly

- Glamrock Freddy coded

- One time during a mission, N put Uzi in one of those baby carriers (the one tat can be on a parent’s chest or back). He thought he lost her multiple times whenever (she was on his back)

- Uzi likes to grab onto N’s tail sometimes, she’s like a koala (But N knows how to get her off by tickling her)

- From a friend, N uses his tail to wrap around Uzi as a way to carry her, also to keep her from trouble (air jail)

- The droneling likes to “sneak up” on the Disassembly Drone whenever she can. N knows where she’s hiding, he just pretends he doesn’t to encourage her (J thinks he praises her too much however)

- Uzi also likes to challenge him in tickle fights (N loses the most, only bc he allows it)

- Also from a friend, she and N play with legos together (it always ends with them destroying the city)

- Freaking tickle monster

- N sometimes cries whenever he holds/cradles Uzi because it reminds him of another droneling

- During the war, the humans had raided a small camp leaving no one alive and needed help getting anything valuable from the rubble. During his search, N had found a child Worker, still very well alive, impaled by a pole. They were slowly dying and he couldn’t do anything about it. So he hugged them close as a way to comfort them in their last moments.

- He lost one, he is not losing another

- Sings happy songs to his younger patients while trying to treat their wounds

- “shh shh, I know it hurts but it’ll only be for a second okay?” “Hey hey, you’re okay, you’re gonna be okay I promise.” “See? That wasn’t so bad was it?” “You were so brave! Good job!”

- Calls dronelings little ones, chickadees, jelly bean (normally Uzi), Bun Bun, the list goes on

- Cried when Uzi called him “Dad” one time

Lawrence and Winifred buried their daughter as soon as the snow melted enough for the ground to thaw.

The McAdams - Valerie, Jackson and his wife, Louise, their son Patrick and his wife, Clara - and Beth joined them at a cemetery near the river.

The Father gave Florence's eulogy and silence fell over everyone as he spoke from memory passage Job 1:21, the words far too appropriate for the loss of young life.

Lawrence and Winifred both took dirt in their palms, throwing it over the small casket that laid within the ground until Winifred couldn't take it anymore.

Unable to look any longer, Winifred turned away and clung to her husband with desperation. By the time the undertaker came over to finish the burial, both were uncertain which of them was even holding the other up.
