PSA for all drivers in the city of Chicago! There are red octagonal signs at a lot of intersections with the word STOP on them- when you see these signs, that means you should try and use this fun pedal next to the gas called the "brakes" and not attempt vehicular manslaughter with every pedestrian you see! There are also large lights at some intersection- when the top light, the red one, is lit, that means the same thing.

So I had to take an online driving course (bc I was caught speeding 🤫). So Im reading along and I notice they kept saying “directional light”. Like what the hell is a directional light? I swear I didn’t have the slightest clue what they were talking about for half the course until I figured out they meant a god damn turn signal. It’s a TURN SIGNAL! What’s this directional light nonsense?! Never in my life have I ever heard it be referred to as such. Reminds me of that blood orange, red meme

I saw multiple people run a red light at EVERY traffic light intersection I was at and was like ????? and then I realized that they replaced the traffic lights with new ones & the new ones turn from yellow to red WAY faster than the old ones

i face sexism when driving my old vw bug deadass. bc it’s a “girly” car men in large trucks/sedans will frequently zoom past me to cut me off, prevent me from passing them, or try to race me at stoplights. like it might seem ridiculous but i truly think ppl see my car and are like “there’s a stupid bitch driving” and it smells like misogyny idc idc

Back on my doordash bullshit since mom gave me her car. I don't have to pay for it, tag it, or insure it. I just drive it. I hate this dodge caliber, but. It's free. It needs some work, but the work it needs is cheaper than a car loan.

There's no reason for me to hate this car, I've just hated it since we got it. I hate hatchbacks and it feels like a cheap piece of shit. Driving it on the turnpike feels like driving a golf cart. Like if I get to 80 it'll just. Fall apart.

Separate but related to my last post: whenever I drive with music while my windows are down and start coming to a stop near other vehicles with their windows down, I'll turn my music down out of courtesy because I never wanna be that guy that's just blaring the most obnoxious shit on the road that everyone in a 2 mile radius can hear, but earlier I stopped at a red light next to this car that also had their windows down and was blasting explicit rap, so I was like "You know what. Fuck it." And I turned my music back up, so in one lane you had aggressive rap music, and in the other you had the same cutesy jpop playing at a significantly lower but still audible volume. Duality of man or whatever.

If this does not end up being PMS, I will have to put myself on trial because we have much explaining to do otherwise
