So to preface this....I was a bit obsessed with Void. One of them is unfinished self ship art from like- 2019 💀

Also from one of the RQ art..I was a ShyLeader shipper 😭 now I view them moreso as father and son- its crazy how i basically did a 180°, also damn my old designs oooof-

On this episode of Fraud or Not: Rainbow Steve

This man has been hyped up to be so strong, but how many times has he been defeated, destroyed, generally just useless, lost his powers, or an enemy. Let’s count ‘em up!

Lost to Sabre and was split apart

Attacked Sabre when he drank Dark Steve’s powers while Light Steve was able to see it was Sabre (but we’ll let this slide cause of reasons in my own AU)

Was powerless in the Nightmare Dimension (off set by getting them out of there)

Lost to Nightmare and sent to a different dimension where he was turning to static

Infinity Steve (which I have not watched to be real but I watched some of it)

Chaos Steve (the second time)

Elemental Steve took his powers

Had his voice changed by Galaxy Steve (honestly I just wanted to bring this up since that interaction was funny)

Memory Steve

When he worked for Void Steve

Destroyed by Void Steve

Assessment: Fraud Watch

My reasoning is he’s my #5/6 favorite character so I can’t do him that dirty, and I haven’t watched SSO or SS “Season 2”, which I know he wasn’t in season 2 much, if at all, but I can’t judge him off of stuff I don’t know about.

Also Rainbow Quest isn’t a fraud, #3 fav character, behind Shadow Sabre and Time, so he’s a goat there.

Gonna be real, Rainbow's not really a fraud. Sabre was just not good at writing him. He told us he was probably powerful and did/could do some cool stuff in theory, but also wanted to throw him around a lot since he was the fans' blorbo and they would react to him getting hurt, which brings up the engagement on videos. That's why he died twice, and why he keeps getting whooped in battles. The need to shock the audience overtook any focus on writing him well. At least, that's my theory.

I am about to drop my first fic in literally years, which will also happen to be the first fic with a plot I’ve ever written.

All for a dead fandom that I thought about too much in the middle of the night and threw proceeded to get SO MAD i hurriedly wrote down notes and waited a week to see if I still had the balls do write it or not

So hey guys. I’m still mad about the fact RAINBOW Steve only had water powers when he was supposed to be the funnnnking AVATAR of the steve realm.

I’m ALSO mad about how he died because it was so underwhelming after he had literal prophecies made for him and was thought to be the most powerful for literal centuries

ALSO. WAS IT NOT TABOO TO BE MADE OF MULTIPLE PEOPLE??? WASN’T THAT WHY NIGHTMARE WAS A VILLAIN??? Rainbow and Nightmare had so many similarities that were barely touched on ever. Did no one look at Rainbow and think “hey. Why does he have so many colours? Did he absorb people too?” BECAUSE IT SURE WOULD HAVE BEEN INTERESTING IF SOMEONE DID.

And the way he DIED. I’m back here again. He didn’t get closure for ANYTHING until AFTER HE WAS IN THE AFTERLIFE. On top of all of that his character got frunked in the anse by the end of it making him POWERLESS (a terrible decision, really) and then making him JEALOUS. MY RAINBOW STEVE WOULD NEVER. MY POOR LITTLE BLORBO.

Anyway I didn’t know I still had this many opinions about Steve saga, i thought I fell out of it years ago but something inside sparked recently and I’ve gone insane once more.
