Retro Bodacious Loveseat / "Floral Fantasy" by Plastiqkue From The Sims 2, The Sims 2 Console and The Sims 2: Pets Console for The Sims 2, The Sims 3 and The Sims 4

Just a small conversion to check off the list! The Retro Bodacious Loveseat is from The Sims 2: University. In The Sims 2 console and The Sims 2: Pets console, it was renamed "Floral Fantasty" by Plastiqkue and given an exclusive blue swatch. I figured it was best to combine this conversion and use the PC version. This download includes a recolor for The Sims 2 and a full conversion of the model and Sims 2 PC swatches for The Sims 3 and The Sims 4. It is $450 in the console game, but I went with the PC price.

I've always liked the Knock Around Couch from Cottage Living, as its classic Chesterfield look suits so many decors (actually, it's even more historically useful than I realized; early versions date back to the mid 1700s, though it wasn't as comfortable before the Victorians got their hands on it). Unfortunately, EA didn't bother to make anything to match it. So I made a matching loveseat. And then I decided that I wanted extra colors, so I made a recolor of the original, so that the extra colors in the loveseat would have matches in the couch. And then I was already drafting this post when I realized that a matching chair would also help. So I added a chair!

PRIME LUXE PLUSH SOFA in 2 palettes, by amoebae

I don't know that I'll recolour everything in the Desert Luxe kit, but the gorgeous sofa was a must. I think it's easily the best sofa we have in the game, so of course it needed more colours to play with!

The sofa comes in 48 Image Spectra colours to match my recolour of the Desert Luxe wall and floor, and I added in the 32 colours from my Dream Pop palette.

Helena: What?

Julia: It was you who hurt my friends, who hurt all those people! I hang out there with them all the time. If you’d seen me, would you have been able to resist?

Helena: Of course!

Julia: Oh, so you were in control? You knew what you were doing and you did it anyway. Who are you, Helena? What are you? Because I don’t think you’re my sister anymore. You’re a-a-a... a monster!

Helena: Please don’t say that. You have no idea how sorry I am. The way I left them... it just loops like an endless nightmare in my head. I didn’t mean to go that far. I just wanted the hunger to stop, but it never does.

Julia: They might still die. Because of you. [scoffs] Migraines. You’ve been lying all along! Helena: What could I have said? You wouldn’t have believed me.

Julia: How did this even happen? Why are you… like this?

Helena: Oh, Julia, I was so stupid! Ulrike and I had just broken up. I was in a bad place, and I trusted the wrong person. I didn’t want it! I barely remember what happened. I just woke up with this fire burning inside of me.

Julia: Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t call the cops right now.

Helena: Because you love me. Because I’m leaving.

Julia: What? Where will you go?

Helena: I don’t know. But it’s obvious I can’t stay. I’m not fit to be around people now. Maybe I never will be. I’m too dangerous — to myself, to you, to Mom and Dad, to this entire fucking town.

Julia: There must be another way. If you turn yourself in, then maybe-

Helena: What, the police will go easy on me because I’m sorry? I kill the police because they don’t? It wouldn’t end well for anyone, Julia. [sighs wearily] At least I never finished unpacking.

Metal bedframes began appearing in Britain in the early 19th century and were adopted by health conscious Victorians who appreciated how easy they were to clean. I suspect they also appreciated the comparative ventilation of the metal bars as compared to the heavily-curtained four posters of yore, given these were the same people who slept with windows open all year round to keep rooms from running out of clean air.

EA actually made a fairly good attempt at giving us a Victorian/Edwardian bed frame with the Cottage Living bed... they just made the casters a little big and the bedding ugly. I personally find EA's version a bit fussy, so I sought to simplify the whole thing, abandoning the curves and brass beads for cleaner lines, with just the flourishes at the head of the bed. I also removed the casters... so sorry to those needing to move the bed. This makes it a little less period friendly, but your sims will appreciate the increased stability. On the other hand, many of these casters were removed from old Victorian frames in the 1980s, so this bed fits well for a modern Sim who likes their antiques, or simply the look. Indeed, there are still companies selling similar beds today, so this style is truly versatile through the ages.

Requires Cottage Living. Comes in 30 swatches, half with a white frame, half with a black frame.

Hi guys!🐣 I haven't been here for a very long time. Literally. The last post was made in 2017. Can't believe it's been 5 years. But all this time I didn’t forget about Tumblr and the Sims Community and followed every change.

And actually, these were global changes that influenced me too. My gaming style has changed so much. As u can remember, in past I created only alpha lookbooks. But smth about 3 years ago I switched to maxis cc in my game and now I’m creating my perfect save file (which has been in the work for two years, I even had to upgrade my laptop for this). One day, I'm sure, I'll post it and share it with you.

Also, I’ll start posting my cc soon, so will be very glad for your support on my Patreon page.
