miri, a little elf-dryad for @buttertrait's simblr adventurers guild

miri's mother and father (a dryad and an elf, respectively) were professors in a renowned academy and raised their daughter on the school grounds. she spent her entire adolescence studying the natural world around her and although she had a deep passion for it, she would rather travel the world and experience it for herself. so, when the time was right, she said her goodbyes to her parents and joined the adventurers guild, hoping to finally see the places she's only read about in her textbooks

Dawn: Have you talked to anyone about this? Phoenix: Only Aurelio. I worked with a therapist for a while. That whole year was a lot. But I never told him the full story. Dawn: Why not? Phoenix: Because I committed a violent crime. I was worried he’d have to report it. Dawn: But it was an accid –

Phoenix: It doesn’t matter. It would still be considered manslaughter at best, and who knows what else I could be charged with. Besides, with the money his family has, the lawyers they can afford, they could put me away for murder if they wanted. I’m sure it wouldn’t be difficult to make a case. I had attacked him, unprovoked, in front of a group of people a few months before. There’s no way that wouldn’t have been used against me. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t push for more of an investigation. But that’s why the only people that know are the ones who were there, and that’s why they lied for me. That’s why you can’t tell anyone.

Dawn: I won’t, I promise.

Phoenix: Thank you. Dawn: She was there, wasn’t she? Greta. Phoenix: Yeah. She broke up with me shortly after. [sniffles] I think I scared her…

sammy's father's side is originally from mt komorebi, so it's important for him that his kids connect with their komorebigo heritage and learn to speak the language fluently. he took roe and rosalie to the festival of light to have some fun and to work on their komorebigo.

Julia arrived at her favorite climbing spot in the Senbamachi neighborhood of Mt. Komorebi. She liked it because the weather was a little more temperate than up on the mountain, and because she was always alone...until now.

She'd never seen the guy before and he wasn't wearing climbing gear, but he moved down the rock face with the fluid grace of someone with experience.

Julia did her pre-climb stretches, dusted her hands with chalk, then began her own practice. They acknowledged on another with a glance and a nod, but that was all.
