I saw this cc by @anxioussimmer and knew I wanted to try and make a laundromat, and since HSY is promoting more family oriented gameplay, it seems like the right place to make one :) I’m really happy with how it turned out, and I usually don’t use CC so I’ve uploaded both this version and a non CC version to the gallery if you want to download it to use in your game!

NEKO NO HITAI (猫の額)

Built around a small central tsuboniwa or courtyard garden, this efficient but comfortable 1LDK home is perfect for a single occupant or couple. The garden might be ‘as narrow as a cat’s forehead’ but provides a touch of serene light and greenery to the surrounding rooms. Making progress on this build. The big blue one in the last photo is intended to be where my heir (spoiler) will live. At least eventually. May live in one of the smaller units first.

Anyway still need to landscape, furnish, and decorate the big blue one (though maybe only slightly furnished since I'll be bringing some family heirlooms over) . Also, right now I have the attached yellow building as part of the big blue unit, but I'm mulling over making it its own tiny unit.

I'm also struggling with the white and yellow building. I like it, but it feels a bit muted compared to the rest of the buildings. Plus it's a yellow next to a yellow...

[ELIZABETH] You all have improved over the past 4 months, I'm so proud!

[ELIZABETH] 5 more minutes and then we’ll talk about the competition schedule.

[???] So why does your ballet teacher want to talk to me?

[???] Not sure, she was really vague and didn't tell me why.

[???] Is she usually like that?

[???] I mean, she is a little more on the quiet side.

[???] So, typical ballerina snob?

[???] What the heck! Uh, no?

[?] Well, aren't most ballerinas snobby?

[???] Some can be but Miss Elizabeth is very kind!

[???] *rolls eyes* Sure she is, and more than likely a snob.

[JURI] Akio, please don't go in hot. I know she means well and there's enough drama in our family. I need ballet to be my safe place.

[ELIZABETH] Ah, Juri. Welcome. Is this a family member with you?

[AKIO] Yes, I'm her older brother. Is there a reason you wanted to speak to me? Do we have a problem?

[JURI] *looks down, speaks softly* Akio, please.

[ELIZABETH] *clears throat* Well, Mr. Hayashi. I want to talk about Juri being late for class the past 4 weeks. I understand that life happens, but I do expect my students to show upon time or communicate if they'll be late. If there's anything I can do, I'm more than happy to work with you all towards something that supports Juri.

[AKIO] What do you mean Juri has been late for the past 4 weeks? Does class not start at 7:30?

[ELIZABETH] Due to competition season starting in 2 months, I've sent a few emails to let students and families know that class from February and on will be starting at 7:00. This is to have more time to warm up and practice. Did you not get those emails, Mr. Hayashi?

[AKIO] No, our parents have been looking after Juri’s ballet stuff, but due to private family matters

that are none of your business, she’s staying with me. Juri also didn’t tell me anything.

[ELIZABETH] No need to share anything private with me. A little miscommunication, perhaps?

We’ll get that sorted out, no problem. Juri, please get ready for class.

[JURI] Yes, I’m sorry Miss Elizabeth.

[ELIZABETH] Mr. Hayashi, let me make something clear. My students’ well-being matters to me.

I just want to make sure Juri gets the most out of this class.

[AKIO] Got it. I’ll make sure she shows up on time. Thank you for being kind, miss.

*Akio leaves, door closes*

[ELIZABETH] “Do we have a problem here?” What the hell was that? I get older brothers but holy shit. That guy fricken sucks.
