For months the topic of transformation and the reality of living life outside of the change that took place in you has been life altering. As Christians we are commanded to leave this world's way of thinking and doing things and become transformed by renewing our minds. This is easier said than done because our worldly view is so engraved in us that it can be difficult to change and shift our mindsets. And so many of us fail miserably at this. This renewing of the mind is not suppose to be done in our own strength. Is it any wonder we always fall short when it comes to changing our behavior 😂 We have all been trying to change our mindsets on our own while the Holy Spirit who is our helper, comforter, guide etc, sits on the inside of our spiritual lives ❤️ relaxing. The only way we are going to stop struggling with our mindset is to turn it over to our helper, the one who was sent along side us to shows us all things. We will always struggle to leave behind a worldly view when we try in our own strength. The Holy Spirit is our helper for everything we could think of but he needs our permission to help us. II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV At our salvation experience a change took place in the lives of believers in Christ. Our old nature was killed and a new one created. As believers in Christ we are still emerging to behold the person that was created. It's a journey that often is filled with disappointments, frustrations, delay, and many a heartaches. But it is also a journey that is filled with unspeakable joy that can only be found in Christ alone. The past couple months God has made it his absolute mission to fill me with his joy though the situations around me spoke anything but joy. Just like we had to make a choice at salvation, we have to make a choice with everything else. We have to make a choice to receive and maintain the joy that only comes from knowing Christ. There is so much to unpack from this journey of being transformed into the image of God. Transformation is a personal thing. No one can make you walk in agreement with the change that wants to place in your heart. You must make the decision daily to change. Change is a continuous process until Christ returns.
