*cracks knuckles* aight besties i woke up this morning having thoughts about a vague AU that probably has lots of plotholes but i gotta combine the two Loves of My Life TM
After the events of PLA, Akari and Ingo finally have the chance to go home. Except Ingo isn’t actually able to go home, because Arceus tells him he needs Ingo somewhere else. Something about people needing a “guiding light” and well, a conductor is the next best thing right? Arceus gets so confused with these human things sometimes….
So Akari gets yote back to Sinnoh Present while Ingo goes off on another Quest For God. Meanwhile Emmet, who has been searching for his brother this entire time, finally gets a lead. Some woman named Nayru says she knows where he is and how to get there! Win-win! Emmet, tired of hearing “maybe a legendary will have mercy,” takes her up on her offer despite the oddness. She kept saying something about a guiding light but honestly, Emmet could care less. He just wants his brother back and if he has to “go on a noble quest” for that, he will. As soon as Emmet agrees to the quest, Nayru conjures a blue light. Everything goes black.
Ingo and Emmet both end up in Hyrule, Ingo with survival skills and Emmet with a mission. They are both tasked with being a “guiding light” for the land of Hyrule as it waits for its hero to end the Calamity.
im still ironing out everything but essentially submas meets botw, they reunite and maybe they help save the world along the way. im debating on giving them magic as a buff but idk haha

What if masked rito Dal met born rito Dal?
Tumblr media
It would be a very... conflicting time.
On one hand, Rito!Dal could understand why MaskAU!Dal used the Rito Mask; it was a means of brief relief from his duties as the Legendary Hero. Going literal years without much of a break was sure to make anyone snap eventually.
But letting his Revali believe he was talking to a stranger? Befriend a Rito that never was? Even if the things he said to Rev while masked weren't lies, that... that wasn't okay.
MaskAU!Dal knows this, and it's precisely why he told his Revali the truth. Befriending Revali as a Rito let him see a side of the Rito Champion that's seldom seen. His Revali deserved a true friend, not one that hid behind a mask because they were being selfish. It's agonizing, knowing how much he hurt Revali, but there's nothing MaskAU!Dal can do other than tell himself that he deserves it. He was taught better than to be selfish, and yet he couldn't resist temptation.
This is his punishment. There is nothing he can do but accept it.
Part of Rito!Dal hopes that the friendship can be salvaged. But considering that it's Revali they're talking about... it may take a while before that chance arises. And if it does, MaskAU!Dal had better pick his words very carefully...

Taking a short break from writing to focus on a post-game design for Hati! He discards the hero’s tunic in its entirety, save for the belts and bracers, as he doesn’t want to be noticed while traveling around Hyrule
It’s also an excuse for me to make TP Link a lot more yeehaw looking…..

Sun! The first of the Zeldas. I’m very fond of her eyes, they’re really pretty.
Transcript:
Sun
- Hoping to propose to Sky soon, just needs a ring to do it with. And for this adventure to be over.
- Turned 20 recently
- On the lower end of height at 5’6
- Was reluctant to leave and go with them because she has a settlement to help build, but Groose convinced her to go
- Is a little embaressed to see all of these strong women who are her and Sky’s direct descendants, but is very proud of them all. Not prepared to be a mother right now though
- Learning how to make baby clothes right now with crochet, she’s working on it, but they don’t really seem like they’d fit a hylian baby at the moment.
- Taught Flora to make tiny hats for her test subjects
- Can use a sword and brought one along, one of the most skilled Zeldas, and is helping the others improve
- Is cheerful, generally optimistic, and enjoys cheering the other girls up
- Sympathizes with Fable’s anxiety over being Queen, given the settlement has basically already decided she and Sky will lead it, and it was rough to accept for a while
- Gets out of breath easier then the other Zeldas, but pushes past it the best she can
- Sort of hiding the fact that she is the mortal incarnation of Hylia, not super on purpose, but she knows from Sky that several of the Links don’t like Hylia, and worries the feelings extend to the other girls
- Has a harp, although it can’t conduct magic right now, Dot and Fable are going to get their hands on it and fix that
She uses she/her for Sheik!

I love how warriors is the one who always asks paramedic-style questions when someone’s hurt
Tumblr media
He’s asking questions not just to distract, but to see how bad the wound has impacted mental functioning “maybe we should be worried, because that’s not what I asked”
Tumblr media
Calling by name to draw attention, asking easy questions…
Like look at his face in each panel, how closely he’s watching while talking to assess the damage
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s always the one taking action in first aid (though obviously he can’t do magic stuff like hyrule but outside of that it’s him)
Tumblr media
Wars is a captain, he’s trained and has had to take care of wounded, so he knows how to take care of not only the physical but the mental impact of injuries as well, and he always comes through for it.
Tumblr media
I just kinda think that’s pretty cool

Ancient Loz AU Story
Tumblr media
10,000 years before the events of BOTW the Princess of Hyrule and the Hero who wields the sword that seals the Darkness first fought off the Calamity. With the help of the Sheikah, Guardians, Champions and the Divine Beasts. However, the hero and her best friend; the Prince of the Gerudo, were now missing. The only one to return from the fight was the Princess… Bloodied and bruised. She emerged from the castle alone. No longer the energetic, and free spirited person she used to be. Now, she is filled with a sole dedication to her Kingdom. But cold, and filled with deep sorrow. She orders the Sheikah to create shrines to train the next hero. They prepare the towers, store the Guardians under the castle till they are needed. Research started on the slate where it can be used for building infrastructure and even battle. Anything to help prepare for another Calamity.
The Gerudo Prince wasn't seen again and the heroes identity was forgotten But, the Royal blood of Hylia lives on….
Tumblr media
Link is from a traveling caravan. His family has blood from the ancient Zonai tribe. He travels with a decent size troupe along with his sister, father and grandmother.
He meets Zelda during a festival where he was entering an archery contest in castletown. Zelda, who was disguised as Sheik, was also entering. She beat him at the contest(barely), but was extremely bothered by how good he was.
The festival goes on for about 3 days and at the end there is the sword ceremony where all the people coming of age(18) can attempt to pull the sword. She was presiding over it and witnessed him pull the sword and his whole life change. Not long after they meet officially and Link is appointed as her Knight; She introduces him to Ganondorf, her best friend from childhood.
And the chaos and comrade-ere ensues~
Over 3 years they travel, train, fall in love and wait for the day when the evil is supposed to show itself. With no sign of the great evil, they start to relax a bit. But that is when it strikes. Ganon travelling by himself at this time. Explores a cave in the Gerudo desert and encounters something ominous. Whispers in the dark speak to him and his fears and wants and his distaste for the King of Hyrule…. The voice is familiar, much too familiar, and before he can fight back it consumes him. When he awakes he is alone. He isn't instantly ‘evil’ but over time it twists his thoughts and actions. His closest friends and mother grow concerned. He becomes harsher and radical. Cruel. During a secret meeting with the King, Ganon assassinates him. Zelda happens upon Ganon covered in blood. She thinks he's hurt and is concerned by his behavior the past year. He snaps. He tells her every dark thing he has been thinking, and that he killed her father. In shock, and devastated, she can’t move as Ganon is about to strike her. But Link manages to get to her in time because the master sword was glowing, something he has never seen before but an instinct so old took over him. He races to escape with her. Ganon takes over the castle. But only as a steward because the King and the Princess are nowhere to be found. No one is the wiser to his malevolent plots. Yet. He knows she has to act fast since Zelda and Link escaped.
Zelda and Link make it all the way to Kakariko Village and Impa and they are all Informed that the Calamity is upon them. No one can believe it is their Ganondorf who is doing this but it is undeniable. They grieve, but they must act fast. With the help of the Sheikah they gather the guardians, monks and send word to the Races and Champions to prepare for battle. Zelda listens as Link hums an old Zonai Lullaby his mother used to sing to him. And it makes her remember something she read about. A story about there being an ancient Zonai device below the castle that would help defeat the Demon King.
Impa knows the tunnels She can help them sneak in. So they prepare to infiltrate the castle.
Under the castle they find the Zonai Artifacts that were left behind for sealing the great evil.
Ganon's followers saw them enter however and informed him. Knowing this is his chance he stops all pretenses and releases his power. Unleashing a mob of monsters and a cloud of malace into the castle and across Hyrule. But the Champions and Shekah are prepared to meet them.
Looking around for any clue. Trying to think of anything they read or that Link heard from his family that could be used to turn on the sealing jewelry. They don’t know how to activate it, but Ganon is going to be upon them soon as they had to fight through hordes of monsters beforehand.
Out of the dark behind them he emerges.
Zelda and Link manage to avoid the surprise attack. They both go on the defensive. They fight and try to reason with him. They can’t believe this is their friend, their lover. The fight is tough, because they all know each other's moves after training together for years along with the emotional turmoil. Zelda tells Link he needs to figure out how to activate the artifact if they are to succeed. She will hold him off. But by this point they are both exhausted.
Ganon manages to cut Link, spraying blood over the floor and the statue. Link falls to the floor and Ganon towers over him ready to strike him down, but Zelda blasts him away. Ganon turns his attention to her. Annoyed with her meddling and manages to land a blow on her also. Cutting the tip of her right ear off.
Tumblr media
The statue lights up from the blood. The blood of a zonai. That  was another part of the Lullaby from Links family Zelda realizes. The Jewelry glows and expands before flying off the wrists of the statue to Link. He is surrounded by a green glowing light that blasts Ganon and Zelda back. The bands constrict around his arms and legs disintegrating the clothing underneath. He screams. Zelda watches on in horror as Link transforms before her. His skin is turning black and his bones and skin stretch until he is 6 ft tall. What did she get him into? This was supposed to help them what was happening… She is living in a nightmare. What else will she have to give up. She cries as she looks at him, feeling his pain and fear. His hair band she had given him falls from his hair. Rolling across the floor towards her. “..Zelda….” He says
Tumblr media Tumblr media
She picks up the hair band and goes to him! But he is not really responding. He is restrained and struggling within himself. His head is filled with the spirits of the Zonai he knows what he must do…he knows this is the last time he will see Zelda and Ganon. To seal the Demon King he must sacrifice himself. He says the last part of the Lullaby to Zelda and she knows. This is it. She kisses him. Though a bit strange now that he's so tall and his lips are cold. Ganon is getting up across the cavern from them, laughing. He mocks them and their weak attempts at thwarting him. One last clash. Zelda manages to get his weapon from him and Link plunges his arm into Ganons chest activating the sealing power. Glowing green. They both freeze in place and all is quiet. Entombed under the castle. The malice and monsters disappear. Zelda cautiously goes up to them. She doesn't touch them lest she break the spell somehow. The only thing she does is grab the hair bangle that fell to the floor in the final fight. It was the one from Ganon’s hair. And she left for the surface.
Alone.

me and @sunkitty143 have been playing totk nonstop so we thought it would be fun to make a little sunkel au for botw... featuring a whole lot of mari and kel friendship and genderfluid sunny supremacy
the basic premise is that kel is the wielder of the master sword and mari's bodyguard. the two of them end up being very good friends and also how she meets hero, too. mari has trained her whole life for a power she cannot seem to harness and a voice she has never heard.
after the failure at the shrine of wisdom on her 17th birthday, mari dedicates all of her time to praying and helping with calamity prevention. this puts a bigger strain on her and takes time away from her younger brother, sunny, who is unknowingly the true incarnation.
when the calamity falls upon hyrule, mari orders kel to find and escort sunny to safety, who is fortunately away from the castle and oblivious to mari's inevitable fate. the last memory plays very similarly, with sunny awakening in order to save kel's life… and yeah!!! ⛹️‍♂️💥💥💥

Tears of the Kingdom spoilers (and lots of rambles) under the cut
When I started the Chain as Cryptids au, I didn’t really think I’d be able to work Tears of the Kingdom in, seeing how much I had changed Wild’s story. He’s a spirit with no memory of the Hylian he once was. He’s a force to be reckoned with but can be easily spooked- much like a wild animal. He avoids Flora like the plague since she’s his connection to the life he used to have. The life that isn’t his anymore.
But then… I had an idea. Flora would be desperate to find her Link again after discovering that he’s still alive (or… not really alive. Not quite a Poe but not quite a Hylian either). Regardless, after the events of Breath of the Wild, she’d start a search party and scour every corner of Hyrule to find him.
She never would. When spirits don’t want to be seen, they aren’t. But… this whole time, I imagined that Korok Forest acted as a sort of home base for Wild. Wild cannot speak verbally but can communicate telepathically with other spirits and spiritual beings. The Koroks and Blupees would be like siblings to him, the Deku Tree being like a parental figure since he basically started life over when he died. (Two Links raised by the Great Deku Tree. He and Time can bond over that later).
ANYWAY. Wild used the Master Sword for about half of the events of Breath of the Wild. But when it would need to recharge, he’d place it back in the pedestal in Korok Forest where it could become stronger under the watchful gaze of the Great Deku Tree. Then he’d be off, never staying in one place for too long, wandering the sandy shores of Necluda or the lava banks of Eldin.
This pattern would stay in place for years after the defeat of Calamity Ganon: Wild stopping at Korok Forest to reunite with his family and let the Master Sword heal and then disappearing into the wilds once more. And over the years, Flora’s search party would shrink until it was just her scouring the continent for her missing knight. Okay, yeah, maybe she’s a little desperate, but she can’t bear the thought of him alone out there. Not when he died because of her. Not when he’s all she has left.
And… when the Master Sword is recharging, that’s when Flora would finally take her search to Korok Forest. She finds the sacred blade but her knight is nowhere to be seen. The Deku Tree allows her to take it, urging her onward, warning her that eventually, she’ll have to use it. She heeds his wisdom, pulling the sword from her resting place and securing it on her back. Then she begins her search anew.
She doesn’t find him.
She trains with the Master Sword while she travels Hyrule. She starts to rebuild. She gets to know her people. And from the cover of countless trees and stone, a certain spirit watches her and his sword.
During her travels, Flora encounters a strange red-black mist that makes her people ill. They call it ‘gloom.’ And, what’s worse, it seems to pour out from under Hyrule Castle. The castle has laid untouched for years now, ever since the Calamity was sealed away and she set out on her search. But now, it would seem that she’s needed once more at the site of her greatest battle. The subject of her nightmares. The place where she los the last piece of her home.
Without her knight at her side, she makes her way to the forgotten foundation of her old life. She’s alone when she travels through the caverns, alone when she follows the melancholy most past murals and carvings that she itches to explore. Flora is alone when the Master Sword glows in warning. Alone when she battles monsters waiting for her in the depths.
The princess is all alone when she discovers a mysterious mummy being held in place by a single glowing arm. She watches as the appendage falls away, a stone falling to the rocky ground with an unassuming click. As she reaches to pick it up, the corpse reanimates. It stands tall, more alert and aware than any Gibdo she’s seen on her journey, and fixes her with a stare that she’d crumble under. She drops her torch and draws the Master Sword, holding the unfamiliar yet warm stone to her chest, and the mummy laughs at her.
It knows her name.
And it attacks.
Flora is alone when the gloom ravages her arm. She’s alone when the Master Sword is the first to crumble under that pressure. She’s alone when the very ground beneath her gives in to that same pressure.
She’s alone when she falls, pain lacing through her arm and golden light enveloping her.
But Flora is not alone when she wakes.
For the purposes of this au, Flora’s time in the past is going to be very similar to canon. She still meets Rauru and Sonia. Still meets Mineru and the Sages and Ganondorf. She still trains to control her secret stone. However, Rauru fixes her arm almost as soon as she arrives in this strange world. He doesn’t give her his, not like he does for Link in TOTK, since he needs it to seal Ganondorf away. But he and Mineru work together to combine construct parts and their own light and spirit magic to make her new muscles and machinery to aid in moving her own ruined arm.
The Imprisoning War is the same.
Sonia dies. Rauru sacrifices himself. And she still has no idea how to get home. How to heal the Master Sword and destroy Ganondorf in her own time. She still speaks with Mineru… and she comes to the same conclusion that she did in canon. This time, though, she’s taking much more of a risk. She can survive the centuries as a dragon, she can heal the sword. But she can’t be sure that her Link will be there to take it and finish things. She hasn’t even seen him in years.
… she doesn’t have a choice.
From Wild’s perspective, it happened in moments. He blinked and suddenly there were islands floating in his skies. Hyrule Castle floats ominously, red plumes of gloom branching out from underneath. Massive sinkholes give way to more of the poison, seeming to drop forever. His forests are ravaged once again, the climate in corners of the continent changing drastically.
And the princess he’d been following is gone.
While trying to get a grasp of what changed so suddenly, he figures out a way up to the Sky Islands. And to his surprise, he discovers a new dragon.
Now, Wild is familiar with all of the dragons in Hyrule. Farosh, Naydra, and Dinraal are just on the threshold of Spirit and Mortal, but they definitely qualify as spiritual beings. Meaning that Wild can speak telepathically to them. Their thoughts are always muddy and jumbled up, so he never gets much out of conversing with them. But he can tell that they enjoy his presence. So he rides with them in the skies of Hyrule for hours at a time.
This new dragon is smaller than the three he knows and flies much higher. Its ears are shorter, hair golden, eyes stunning. Instead of six legs, this one only has five. A scarred stump at its front and a glowing object on- no in- its poor head. Wild makes his way over as fast as he can, desperate to learn more about the beast.
The new dragon’s thoughts are just as jumbled up as he’s used to but he’s caught off guard by how miserable it feels. No. She. How miserable she feels. Wild places a glowing hand on her snout and tries to calm her, but it’s no use. Her thoughts may be chaotic and disorganized, but he senses her distress. She wants- sword. Knight. Link Link Link. You must find me, you have to save them all!
Wild takes the Master Sword from where it was buried in the dragon’s golden mane and is nearly thrown off by her shock at the action. But when his sword is once again in his capable hands, he feels an overwhelming gratitude from the dragon. It’s gone as soon as it came, replaced again by misery. Dread. Grief.
During the events of Breath of the Wild, Wild did not fight to save Zelda. He did not fight to save Hyrule. He fought for the land. For his fellow spirits that were being destroyed by malice. For the forests that were burned down by guardians. For the water that was poisoned by monsters. He defeated Calamity Ganon for his family.
He fights Ganondorf for the same reason. Except… maybe this time, he’s extra motivated by that strange new dragon. She seemed… so sad…
THIS IS GETTING WAY TOO LONG. But suffice to say that after the events of Tears of the Kingdom, Flora does not 100% recover from being a dragon. She keeps her telepathic connection to Wild and her immortality. She keeps her horns and scales and SHE gets the Master Sword. She’s a Cryptid as well, and she’s closer to Wild than she ever was.
. . .
Uhhhhh that was super long I apologize. But rambling like this is so much easier than trying to be coherent and careful when I write. I might to it more often if you think it’s legible haha. Feel free to ask questions haha, I love any excuse to talk about my Cryptid boys and their relationships with people in their worlds.

if you're just looking for sketchy stuff-
how do you think totk!moon reacted waking up post arm removal /losing sun?
because canonically link has no reaction to anything and I imagine that wouldn't be the case for moon.
(+ bonus question- did the celestial siblings already know each other before the events of totk? are they siblings? very curious about the au)
Tumblr media
Waking up with all your clothes stolen and your arm replaced by one that previously belonged to a magic sky furry would piss me off too tbh
The reality of what happened only really hit Moon when he picked up the decayed master sword - but all he can do is press on and hope that somehow that flash of yellow light had meant that Sun is still alive.
... and because he didn't have his hat when he woke up I just wanted to draw him finding one in a chest because I felt weird only showing him bald lmao
But for your question! Yep! Breath Of The Wild still happened, and they are twins (ramble under the cut)
However, due to the king being an ass of a father (yes, it's Creator), he had decided that Moon would be separated from Sun at birth. They were aware they're siblings, but were kept apart enough to not really feel much of a connection.
When the two were born, the Sheikah had told the king and queen that Sun inherited his mother's power of light, while Moon had not. Terminal illness took their mother a few years after, and the king decided that Sun needed to develop his powers as they knew the Calamity was coming and his mother was no longer there to defend the kingdom.
Moon was pushed towards knighthood so he could serve the kingdom and no longer "distract Sun". The king basically just dropped him off at the house of the top knight in Hyrule and ordered him to train the young child. Moon was never treated as a prince or even as a brother to Sun again from that point forward. He was damn good at swordfighting though 👍
The Master Sword claimed Moon as its new master, and finally the king cared about Moon's existence again. He was to be appointed as Sun's personal knight. Sun... did not like this. He and Moon had become so estranged that Sun just felt like he was babysat and watched even more than he already was.
But Moon proved to be very devoted to protecting Sun, and the events of the Breath Of The Wild memories play out. Sun starts warming up to him after Moon saved his life, and the two slowly start rebuilding their sibling bond from that point forward :]
They are now inseparable and absolutely devoted to protecting eachother
(except they get separated twice lol, once during the events of BOTW, and again now)
Thank you SO MUCH for this ask though, I'm so happy people are interested in this au!! It is so very dear to me

I’ve been thinking about the totk spirit dragon AU and I have some more thoughts about the champions.
When their spirits first come back in the past of course Link is over whelmed and there is a cute reunion but there’s a bigger roll at play.
With them Link is a walking mini battalion five warriors all of different races and all at the top of their skills. And they have to travel together. This makes Link Ganondorf number one problem. But we will get there in a second.
Once Link is at the castle and getting to know Rauru, Sonia and Mineru he starts learning about his powers.
I think the first time he summons the champions he tries to keep them with him for as long as possible and ends up passing out from exhaustion. He’s not used to using these powers. To Rauru and Sonia they are walking this strange boy and his four spirit guards to the castle and the next to boy is dropping to the ground. The spirits reach for him but dissipate as he goes down.
When he wakes in the castle he immediately looks around for the champions. Mineru and Sonia have to talk him down and explain that he has to practice his powers.
Through out his stay with them Link starts to master his new abilities able to keep the champions around for longer and longer periods. Keeping all four out is draining but keeping one out becomes a healthy exercise. The champions take turns being with Link. The don’t want to leave him alone in this new world they have all found themselves in. And while they would all prefer to be out they don’t want to make Link pass out again. If he passes out no one can watch over him.
Slowly he learns how to make the champions physical. It takes a lot of training with Mineru and Sonia. (She might not share his powers but she is to much of a mom not to be around encouraging him)
When Ganondorf launches his first attack on the kingdom Link is able to not only change his spirit powers to Rauru but also the powers of the champions which is what leads to Rauru’s light blast being so powerful.
After the first attack and Ganondorf swearing “loyalty” to the king Rauru knows he needs to talk to the leaders of the other races. He gathers the future sages and asks them to train with Link. At first this confuses the future sages. How would they train a hylian in the ways of their people? Until Link release the champion.
I think this would happen one at a time. Link would go to train with the Rito sage (I’m going to call them Medoh) and at first Medoh is super confused why the king sent this little hylian to train with him. He’s also a little offended think that the king believes anyone can achieve the Rito’s command over the wind. Until Link summons Revali. There has never been a bigger ego contest in the history of hyrule then champion Revali (who taught himself mastery of the winds) and Medoh great warrior future sage and control of the winds through birth right. Eventually they realize they have a lot to learn from each other. Revali gains better to control of the winds and Medoh learns archery techniques from Revali.
They go until Link can’t keep the connection up and Revali’s now drops from his hand as he is nothing more then a spirit now. (They have been at it from dawn to dusk Link is exhausted) He flys back down to Link and tells Medoh they will pick up another day before waving over whatever guards Rauru sent along to help Link return to where they are staying (a roost in Rito village, a stable, or the castle itself.
As the leave Medoh realizes what this was. It wasn’t just training for him and the spirit Rito. It was training to see how long Link can hold his projections. Every move Revali made every time he used his powers drained Link. They were training Link’s endurance.
With each training Link becomes stronger.
He meets with the Gordon sage (we’ll call them Rudania) at first Rudania is conserved for this little hylian and how he’s suppose to train him. Then Link arrives waves in creating and without a word summons Daruk. It is the Broiest Bros to ever Bro. Rudania and Daruk get along like a house on fire. (The might also accidentally set a house on fire) they are having a great time. Rudania learns Daruk’s shielding ability and Daruk gains some skill is creating fire. They walk everywhere instead of rolling because Daruk wants to carry Link up on his shoulder. He knows how hard the kid is working to bring them back and doesn’t want to over work his friend again.
Eventually they have to stop. Link can only take so much but it’s been hours but Daruk knows link needs to rest especially when he starts flickering in and out of existence. He wishes he had noticed Link’s exhaustion sooner.
Training with the Zora is different the Zora sage (Ruta) is a master of combat abilities when it comes to water. Far more so then Mipha or Sidon. Yet she has very little skill in healing. When link arrives Ruta assumed that this would be straight combat training, when Link arrives and summons Mipha she is stunned. They explain it’s actually Mipha that Ruta will be training with.
The two Zora’s start their combat training. Mipha is holding her own in the beginning but it is getting progressively harder to block the other zora’s aggressive strikes. Ruta is frustrated. She was told she would be trading the little prince. The people of hyrule had watched Sonia’s young ‘cousin’ arrive from no where and instantly get adopted by not just the royal couple but also the king’s sister. Ruta thought she would finally see what was so impressive about their new prince. And in away she had. He somehow had a Zora spirit tied to him. How is that possible? Why would a young Zora like Mipha tie her soul to this hylian after her passing. The whole situation is weird and Ruta wants to know what this Hylian can really do.
So on her next attack on Mipha she fakes striking from the left only to jet herself to the right. She uses the water to launch herself at Link. She knows she caught him unprepared so this should be and easy hit. She wasn’t going to kill him. Just knock him down. But Link’s sword is out faster then she can blink and blocking her strike. Well almost she nicks his arm. The guards watching over this start to rush over but Link calls them off. The attack wasn’t meant to kill him.
Mipha rushes over to join them and Ruta gets ya ask her questions about the two of them. The explain as best they can. They grew up together. Mipha lost her life to a dark creature. Link had freed her spirit and she had stayed with him ever since. Ruta still doesn’t get it until she sees Mipha healing Link’s arm. Zora healing magic is special and normally fueled by love. No matter what kind of love there is between the two Mipha cares for Link dearly.
The continue their training Mipha learning combat skills from Ruta and Ruta learning some healing tricks from Mipha. They do have to stop earlier then the others. Link wasted energy fighting Ruta so their first training was cut short.
When the ides of training with the future sages came up Urbosa was hesitant. She asked that training with the gerudos be delayed as she wished to observe them more. Rauru agrees with her. They had to be carful of who they picked to train with Urbosa. And Urbosa knows just how loyal her people are to their chief.
It isn’t until the future sage (naboris) reach’s out to King Rauru that Urbosa decides to meet with her. King Rauru invites Naboris to come and meet him at the castle. Link is with him when she arrives. The conversation is stilted at first, Naboris knows her chief is in the wrong but how does she communicate that to the king? Can the king be trusted?
After dancing around the topic for a while Urbosa finally appears. She had been listening the whole time but was waiting until the right time to step forward. She understands the tough spot Naboris is in. But they need to stand against Ganondorf. Once she makes this decision there can be no wavering.
The two Gerudo women get along well after that. Training is an even back and forth. Both women are equally skilled with weapons and lighting and just push each other to further mastery. Urbosa also help Naboris plan for what is to come next. After Ganondorf is gone someone has to lead the Gerudo people, she is helping Naboris plan for that future.
The champions and sages train together many times each time strengthening themselves while also building up Link’s power.
Link has grown a lot. He trains with Mineru, Sonia, and Rauru, as well as the training with the sages. Pretty soon he can keep on champion in a corporal form all day with out a struggle, then two. He could also summon all four in a battle but if he substantiated a serious injury then his powers would falter.
Rauru trust Link. Not only because of his skill but his willingness to help everyone around him. His compassion and service to the people is obvious. He can also tell that Link is used to protecting and guarding people. When Ganondorf arrived at the castle Rauru asked Link a favor. Rauru and Mineru were close to untouchable but Sonia and Link were not. Rauru asked Link to watch over Sonia. Partially to protect his wife but also to protect Link. If the two were ever attacked he hoped that Link, Sonia and the champions could handle what ever it was until he arrived.
Which leads us to Ganondorf’s attack on Sonia.

Since there has been a lot of time going into the main character art posts, I've decided to do these to at least get some consistent posting in the meantime! :) Closeups and more details under "read more." Click them for better quality!
Her Grace, Lady Zelda! This is the Zelda seen in Skyward Sword, a knight in training who found herself fighting a war she had no idea was her own. She recently turned 17 during the events of Skyward Sword, but now is 19. Her birthday is July 16! Zelda likes to spend a lot of time sewing (mostly making dolls) and studying this era's wildlife on the Surface. She is often plagued by nightmares of Hylia's war and glimpses of Link's battle with Demise, as her soul was within the Demon King at the time.
After Skyward Sword, Zelda decided to live on the surface. When Link agreed to join her, he confessed there was something else he meant to talk to her about (the same thing she tried to tell him before Ghirahim sent his tornado). They shared their first kiss beneath the light of the Triforce and above their new home - between earth and sky. They have been together ever since and have formed a small settlement with the friends they made on the Surface World, which Link has nicknamed Hyrule as a running joke. Zelda is hoping such a pun doesn't stick... but it's what everyone in Skyloft calls their small home now.
Now that her father has let her origins as the goddess spill, her old friends have begun to treat her somewhat differently. It didn't sit right with Hylia long ago, and it certainly doesn't sit right now... She has to accept that part of her, doesn't she? There have even been suggestions of her taking a role as the high priestess and ruler of the settlement below. After all, they say, a goddess is most fit to guide humanity. But must they forget that now - and for as long as they've known her - she is one of them?
Thank you to my friend @cherrysalsa for the idea of goddess plume earrings! They are SO cute. Thank you for letting me implement them!!!! <3

AU Info:
In Another Life follows a fued of the Goddesses. Tired of the cycle caused by Demise's Curse, the three come to an agreement: they will break the boundaries of space and time and allow the fued to be settled by their Champions. If one seeking destruction, chosen by Din, holds victory, then the world will be erased and built again without the demon's influence. If the heroes blessed by Farore and the princess blessed by Nayru succeed in returning their foe to their seal, then the world will live on. Farore hopes too to end the cycle, but Nayru believes it not to be her place.
The eternal bond between Hylia and her chosen hero will be tested as Hyrule's branches in history reach out to them through broken mirrors. They have found each other in every lifetime - but will their unbreakable connection be enough to save existence itself?
