After finding out Duncan cheated on you with Gwen, Alejandro offers you an alliance as revenge against Duncan.
Pairing: Duncan x Reader x Alejandro

Words: As I’m finally coming out of my writer’s block, I present this! Maybe a little self-indulgent because I like Alejandro and Duncan. Oops—Might make a second part if people like it though.

Your cheering for Cody ceased when Tyler blurted out the secret he’s been holding back. It took a moment to register in your head, not wanting to believe it. Duncan didn’t actually kiss Gwen, right? Your boyfriend and best friend wouldn’t have done that to you. It had to have been a strategy the other team came up with to throw you off. Pitting you against each other so you’d be distracted during the challenges.
“Wait, what?” you ask, the distraction immediately working.
“He said that Duncan kissed G—,” Alejandro repeated.
You were quick to cut him off before turning to face Gwen. “I heard what he said! Gwen? Is that true?”
She looked at you with guilt written all over her face that only confirmed it. She took a step back, as if expecting you to fight her. And for a moment you thought about it, anger quick to take over. Except heartbreak was quicker to hit when you fully accepted the situation. Your boyfriend and best friend kissed behind your back.
You turned to look at Duncan who gave you a just as equally guilty look. You had hoped that by looking at him he’d shut down Tyler’s rumor. But when he looked away, you knew it was all true. Your heart cracked in your chest, and everyone was silent, waiting to see what you’d do. Both Duncan and Gwen watched you closely and you could see the fear on their faces. You never got mad or raised your voice, you were one of the few reasonable contestants on this show. It’s what made you so likable and kind of scary with everyone wondering if you’d ever snap. Today might just be the day.
You turned to look at Cody who hadn’t moved yet, he was watching to see what happens next. No doubt scared that you might do something to Gwen. You kind of felt bad for him, he was sort of betrayed too. It can’t be fun knowing the girl you’ve been pining over kissed someone else.
“Cody, start flying if you want to win this. Otherwise, if we lose, we’ll be voting Gwen off tonight,” you tell him.
Your voice is eerily calm but it’s enough to set Cody flapping his poorly made wings. Your words made him determined to win, more so with his team agreeing with you. The Amazons won the challenge in the end which meant Gwen was safe for now. It also meant that Duncan had a chance to be voted off and although you were heartbroken, you didn’t want to see him go yet.
Once your team is back in first class, you're left alone with your thoughts. And everyone wants to know what you’ll do to Gwen. Courtney is immediately giving you ideas, completely on your side. She had a crush on Duncan, but when he admitted he felt the same for you, she became your number one supporter. Which meant she was the embodiment of your anger now.
“Hey, can we talk?” Gwen asks, approaching you with a guilty look on her face.
“She has nothing to say to you!” Courtney exclaimed, standing in front of you.
Gwen took a step back but looked over at you, nonetheless, silently pleading with you. Courtney looked at you too, arms crossed over her chest with a scowl on her face. You knew you should talk to her about this, but you didn’t want to. Not right now.
“You heard her, I don’t have anything to say,” you repeat.
She sighs heavily and walks away with a defeated look on her face. As much as she liked the kiss with Duncan, nothing could get rid of the guilt she felt. She hadn’t meant to betray you like that, it just sort of happened. At least, that’s how she likes to remember it.
“We can so vote her off in the next challenge,” Courtney says once she’s gone.
You shake your head, a defeated and broken look on your face. “It won’t change anything.”
“No, but it’ll make you feel better. And it gives me an excuse to boot her out,” Courtney offers, trying to cheer you up.
She liked you, which is rare for her, especially given the circumstances. This wasn’t exactly the place to make friends, but she became friends with you. You were the only person she’d deemed worthy enough to make it to the final two. Which is why she was angry for you. And maybe something else that she’d never admit.
You offer a smile, strained but good enough to seem cheery. “I’d still rather play fair. If we happen to lose a challenge then whatever happens, happens.”
That was enough for her, deciding to make your team purposely lose. People would suspect it from you but not from her. She could even get Sierra and Heather in on it.
You wanted to be alone after, sneaking away from first class. You found a corner hidden away from everyone and sank down. Being alone meant you finally felt everything that just happened. Your boyfriend really kissed your best friend. You felt your heart crack inside your chest and the dam finally burst.
You sobbed into your hands, using them to muffle whatever noises left you. It almost worked, had a certain someone not been snooping around. Alejandro found you in your corner crying your heart out. It’s exactly as he had hoped for. To get you alone and charm his way into your trust. Except standing in front of you now, he wasn’t so sure of his plan.
“May I offer some comfort?” he asks, sitting beside you.
You stop crying immediately and wipe your tear stained cheeks. You clear your throat and look away. “No, I’m fine. Completely fine.”
“Of course, I didn’t mean to insinuate you weren’t,” he says, giving you a charming and gentle smile.
You furrow your brows and stare at him, seeing straight through him. You didn’t trust Alejandro, from the beginning of this season. You saw what he did to Bridgette and LeShawna. You weren’t going to let him get to you the same way.
“What do you want?” you ask.
“My, I didn’t expect such a beautiful lady to be so harsh,” he places a hand over his heart and feigns being hurt.
It makes you roll your eyes and cross your arms. “Listen, you may have everyone fooled but not me. And I’m not in the mood right now.”
“I know,” he smiles again, this time showing his true intentions behind it. You were too smart for your own good and there was no point pretending. “But I figured now was as good a time as any.”
“For?”
“I propose an alliance between the two of us.”
“You want an alliance with me? Why?” your eyes narrow and you’re even more weary of him.
He was quiet for a moment, unsure of how to answer. What excuse could he say without giving away how he really felt? He didn’t want to admit that he actually felt bad and angered. No one should have ever broken your heart, much less someone like Duncan. But saying that out loud would mean having to admit how he felt. He wouldn’t. In a competition like this, feelings were a weakness.
“To get back at Duncan, of course,” he answers. “If he sees us working together, it’ll irk him. Seeing you move on will definitely be a punch to the gut.”
“Oh right, it’ll definitely be a punch to the gut when he’s making out with Gwen,” your voice cracks at the end, vision blurring.
Alejandro’s heart wrenches at your sadness and anger bubbles in his chest. Duncan didn’t deserve you, not for a second. He abandoned you at the beginning of the competition and you just accepted him like it was nothing when he came back. He hated it and he hated you a little bit for it. Except now was his chance to get you to see him and forget about Duncan.
He wraps an arm around your shoulders without thinking about it. Your pulled closer to him, facing him only inches away. “No offense, but you’re not exactly my type.”
He laughs and gives you an ever so charming smile. “Don’t worry, that’s not my intention,” he lies.
“And what are your intentions?”
“It’s like I said, an alliance with you. Not only will it be revenge on Duncan but I’ll take you to the final two with me.”
“Oh really? Why would you take me to the final two? I would’ve imagined you’d want someone like Heather.”
“Heather? While she is lovely, she’s not my type. And I happen to like someone else,” he says, looking at you earnestly.
Your heart skips a beat and you blame it on your bundled feelings. You push him away, making space between the two of you. Honestly, his deal sounded nice even if he ended up double crossing you. At least you could distract yourself from what Duncan and Gwen did.
“Okay, on one condition. If you stab me in the back at any point, you vote yourself off.”
He doesn’t even hesitate as he answers, all that matters is that he’s got you on his side. “Deal.”

I love the idea of Noah hating physical touch because I hate physical touch but you know what I love more?
Noah unknowing that he loves physical touch.
He’s always nudging people with his elbow, standing super close to them, sleep cuddling them, and he doesn’t even realize it.
Some examples: He nudges Owen a lot and that one time he nudged Tyler. Not to mention he hugged Bridgette and literally cuddled Cody kissing his ear. He doesn’t recoil when Duncan grabs his lip he just stands there. Him letting Izzy hold him. Etc, he just likes when it’s on his accord, hates when people hug him without him expecting it.
But one person does realize it.
Owen is talking about Noah to Alejandro, since he asked to get more information about him.
“And he hates physical touch! Sometimes he lets me hug him though! Man Noah is great!”
Alejandro tilts his head to the side curiously. “Excuse me for asking but are you sure he hates physical contact?”
“Uh yeah I’m pretty sure.”
Alejandro scratched his chin as he looked over at the sleeping Noah who was holding a jacket, probably Owen’s, like it was a person. ‘Interesting.’
In Newland Alejandro tests his theory as he reaches his hand out to Noah to help him on the boat. “Well done my little porpoises, here allow me.” Without really thinking Noah takes it and climbs up. Noah doesn’t really register the fact that he held grabbed Alejandro’s hand, or the fact that he stumbled so his hand rested on his chest, or that Alejandro’s hand hovered over his hip to secure him if needed. Noah didn’t think twice before chuckling slightly.
“Sorry, I think my boot got stuck on something.” Noah looked up nonchalantly at the other to see his face was slightly red. “Why are you looking at me like that?” Noah mocked him slightly before walking to one of the paddles.
Alejandro had his theory proven right as Noah held onto him longer then he needed too. The only problem was Alejandro didn’t want him to let go. He was right so why did he feel almost anxious, like his stomach was going flips.

I enjoy to 'set ablaze, or rekindle a flame?'. It was supposed to be a roommate semester abroad high school AU, however, it's incomplete and just has some decent banter worth reading for now :) (COME BACK AUTHOR!!) 16k words.

But, what about the reaction to the TDWT crew to Chris bringing his niece with him??
Like, the reader is just a sweet 19 y/o teenager who looks for their safety and actually cares about them??? (Total contrary to his uncle lmao).
It doesn't have to be with one character specifically, most like how they would react overall to the reader wanting to protect them from Chris (AND PLEASE MAKE THE READER PROTECT CODY FROM SIERRA I BEG U)

I fucking love Total Drama!! I firmly believe Leshawna should've won the first season. I'll try to add my least favorite characters from World Tour to avoid being biased.
Warnings: Chris McLean, Sierra's stalker behavior, attempted manipulation from Alejandro, Duncan being kind of an ass, does Cody being a crybaby count? I'm making it count.
Pronouns: They/Them

"Alright contestants I have another surprise for you." Chris looked at the tired teens. From behind Chef came another teen. They smiled and waved to the other teens.
"Another contestant?" A few questioned simultaneously.
"Oh hell no. Their mother would kill me." Chris slung his arm around them and tugged them close. "This here is -Y/N- McLean, my nibling."
"Heya," their smile got bigger "I hope we can get along."
Everyone was too shocked to speak for a moment. Sierra was trying so hard not to flip her shit. Chris McLean's nibling was actually in front of her.
"So you're related to Chris?" Harold finally asked.
"Yeah. My mom is his sister." -Y/N- answered truthfully.
"Think of -Y/N- as a co-host. Another Chris of sorts." The older man smirked. "They'll keep an eye on you famous wannabes while I can't."
First of all we'll get the obvious out of the way, the cast fucking love you, after getting to know you. Obviously at first learning you're related to the devil host, Chris McLean, they immediately thought this season would be twice as torturous. But give them a couple of days or weeks and most of them would willingly jump from the plane for you. The others may take some time.
I'll start with the ones that take no time in becoming your fans:
Cody: for him the moment he saw you give a genuine smile was when he trusted you. Having dealt with Chris's shit for so long made him aware of a real and fake smile. Also when you demand Sierra leave him alone? Oh yeah he likes you even more now. Expect a lot of clinging, as much as he can, crying for one reason or another mostly Sierra and excessive praise for the small things.
Lindsay: my sweetheart, so pretty so.....not traditionally smart. She saw you looking super nice in your outfit and that was it. Anyone with fashion choices as good as yours are definitely trustworthy. Please become shopping buddies after the show is over.
Owen: this big lug. He really tries to see the good in everyone. More often than not he's wrong. But he's genuinely happy he's right about you.
Sierra: she knew about you before anyone else. Obviously she's going to trust you from the get go. You're related to THE Chris McLean. That trust may or may not waver...TBD. Either way watch yourself around her. Keep a close eye on your belongings.
The neutral ones who need a bit more time are:
Noah: he just doesn't trust easily. Take no offense to it. I think only Owen was lucky enough, being an actual giant ball of sunshine and stupidity. Perhaps if you sneak him some Noah-Safe food he'll trust you faster.
Gwen: poor girl has been scorned by the world so often. It's left her with a few trust issues. Maybe stick up for her and watch some good horror movies together. Reassurance is the key, she was painted as a bad guy from the beginning. Let her know she's more than that and it's okay to admit she did wrong. Help her move past that.
Leshawna: this bad bitch (lovingly) knows her worth. She wants to make sure others know it as well. Don't talk down to her and hype up her plans and ideas and she'll consider you worth her time and respect. Also keep Alejandro away from her. Please. My queen deserves better.
DJ: he's a softie and a Mama's boy. He does want to trust you. But after his failed restaurant with his Mama it might take some time. People in power never helped him or his Mama. In fact he wonders if they were sabotaged. Help him find ways to "reverse his curse" and he'll definitely trust you, also maybe offer his Mama a job as a chef, especially if it's a higher position in a private kitchen.
The ones who just straight up dislike you and take a long time to like you are:
Alejandro: his family caused him so much trauma. He doesn't trust ANYONE. He may act like it, nodding to your advice and being nice. But alas tis all a front. He's really just waiting for the perfect moment to betray you. When that time comes and goes and you're still nice to him? Yeah....you may have started chipping away at his walls.
Heather: the queen bee. The head of every group project. Highschool taught her to look out for herself. So did the first two seasons of Total Drama. She'll bitch at you and talk shit about you "behind" your back. Just brush it off and continue being nice and you'll win her over, eventually.
Courtney: the Type A Psychotic Crazies and debate team caused Courtney to believe only Courtney can help Courtney. She'll refuse to trust you and judges those who do. In fact it's not until she's kicked off will she finally trust you. Maybe meet up after the show and talk to her, she'll apologize to you and own up to her wrongdoings.
Duncan: the runaway delinquent. The hardass he is doesn't trust you, purely because of your last name. Chris ruined his life, more than he himself could have. Being stalked no matter where he went for 2 years put him on edge. Abolish Chris's stupid "must always sing" rule and his opinion on you might change.

Day 3: Canon
Amidst the chaos and drama that perpetually surrounded the contestants in the latest season of Total Drama World Tour, an unexpected and heartwarming moment was about to unfold.
Noah, renowned for his sharp wit and relentless cynicism, possessed an entirely unanticipated facet to his personality. When sleep overcame him, he unwittingly became "the cuddler," an endearing nickname bestowed upon him by his fellow competitors. Noah had a tendency to snuggle up to anyone or anything within arm's reach, a quirk that had provided much amusement during the competition.
In an unusual twist of fate, Alejandro, the suave and manipulative contestant, found himself seated next to Noah during a long flight. Alejandro was accustomed to female contestants vying for his attention, using proximity to him as a strategic move in the game. However, what he was about to experience was a very different kind of attention.
As the plane soared through the skies, the hum of the engines and the rhythmic turbulence began to lull Noah into a slumber. His eyelids grew heavy, and he yielded to the temptation to close them. Gradually, he let his head fall onto Alejandro's shoulder, his gentle snores blending with the plane's ambient noise.
Alejandro, who had initially been composed and aloof, felt an unexpected warmth envelop him. He cast a sideways glance at Noah, who had now encircled his arm around Alejandro's, gently holding it in a vulnerable and innocent embrace. It was a side of Noah that no one had witnessed before—a side devoid of sarcasm and cynicism.
Ordinarily, Alejandro would have seized upon this situation, attempting to manipulate it to his advantage in the game. Yet, on this occasion, he found himself uncharacteristically flustered. His heart quickened, and he couldn't resist stealing furtive glances at Noah's peaceful countenance. Alejandro observed the rise and fall of Noah's chest with each breath and found himself intrigued by the person behind the cynical facade.
As time passed, Alejandro's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Should he awaken Noah and end this unexpectedly intimate moment? Or should he allow it to persist, secretly relishing the unforeseen connection that had blossomed between them?
As Alejandro grappled with his flustered state, the situation took an entertaining turn. Owen, the lovable prankster, couldn't resist the opportunity to tease Alejandro.
Owen, with a mischievous grin, noticed Alejandro and Noah in their unique predicament. He gave Alejandro a sly thumbs-up and began making exaggerated kissing noises, setting off peals of laughter from his equally eccentric partner, Izzy.
Alejandro's glare intensified, and he shot Owen an irritated look. However, he bit his lip, determined not to awaken Noah. He couldn't afford to let the other contestants see him rattled or off his game.
Izzy, blissfully unaware of Alejandro's inner turmoil, joined in Owen's playful antics, mimicking kissing noises and adding to the laughter that had now spread throughout the plane. The entire cabin seemed to be reveling in this unexpected spectacle.
As the laughter and teasing continued, Alejandro couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief.
Summoning his courage, Alejandro attempted to reciprocate Noah's gesture, feeling his heart racing in his chest. The tension in the air was palpable as he raised his trembling arm, intending to place it around Noah and create a more comfortable sleeping position for him.
Just as Alejandro's arm was on the verge of making contact, Noah began to stir. His eyelids fluttered open, and he slowly sat up, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Alejandro froze in place, his arm suspended awkwardly in mid-air. His cheeks flushed with embarrassment as he fervently hoped that Noah had not noticed his intentions.
Luck, however, did not favor Alejandro on this occasion. Noah, now fully awake, stretched and yawned, deciding to head to the bathroom, completely unaware of the close call he had narrowly avoided.
Alejandro remained seated, his mouth slightly ajar, his arm still trembling in the air. He couldn't believe how close he had come to revealing his vulnerability, and he was left in a state of confusion regarding his own emotions.
Meanwhile, Owen and Izzy, thoroughly amused by the situation, couldn't contain their laughter. They exchanged gleeful glances and shared hearty chuckles at Alejandro's expense. Alejandro, feeling flustered and frustrated, couldn't help but berate them in Spanish, expressing his irritation.
Amid the laughter and commotion, Noah, who was in the bathroom, splashed cold water on his face to wake himself up fully. The distant sounds of yelling and laughter reached his ears, and he couldn't help but wonder what had transpired in his absence.

First time doing this so I hope I'm going about it right
Ok ok my topic I'm going to talk about is going to be continuing on why I think it makes sense for all of these contestants to rationally do the things they did on this show.
OK,,, so first up, again, they were all ***16***
These are ***kids*** who were exploited for drama and ratings on a (in universe) reality TV show for a prize pool of (originally 100k) a million dollars.
Even before it went up this is a life changing amount of money.
Better yet- we don't know the full picture of like any of these kids backgrounds.
We don't know how they grew up, or what kinda shit they grew up with. Things could've been stressful for them, they could just be on the show for fun, whatever.
But another good point I'm about to bring up is that they were LIED TO about alot of what went on in the show!!!
These kids are all smack dab in the middle of teenage hormones and bullshit and probably the most stressful period of their childhoods
Like as a 16 year old myself I can attest to that, this shit is ROUGH.
And at the same time these kids are at risk of dying in literally next to every single episode they filmed for this show.
And that's not even starting on the toxic waste and shit in ROTI.
You have to keep ALL OF THAT in mind when it comes to how they're acting while on this show.
This shit is stressful. Like total drama is the kind of thing that would probably linger with these teens for the rest of their lives. Not even just because of the danger- because this show is well known and these kids will NEVER just be normal teens again.
Weighing on that last bit a little more- these kids, like first arriving to total drama is their basically last shot of being just normal fucking kids again. And even then they're not going to initially acknowledge that right away because they are going to be focused on the game and trying to win.
So here they are- 22 teenagers all in forced proximity of each other- initially with a bunch of strangers, and even as they get to know each other they do NOT all like each other- all competing for a literally life changing amount of money. That only one of them can win.
It makes PERFECT FUCKING SENSE for some competitors to be as ruthless as Heather and Alejandro were!!! They were trying to win!! The best way they knew how!!
Kindness can win this show, something we learned with Owen, but so can playing the game like Heather and Alejandro did, perfect example being them in the final two of World Tour.
Not even to mention,,, these kids are stuck in this contract legally in this show-
I mean, normally, contracts signed by minors are not legally binding but that doesn't work the same way in total drama if these kids are continually forced into coming back for more seasons with the threat of legal action being taken on them.
On them AND THEIR FAMILIES.
Literally add this all together and it just reiterates back to what I said above- this is their LAST chance to be normal teenagers- both because they could die and because when this show gets popular internationally they are GOING to get a decently sized fanbase, if not even bigger.
So like tie that, and the thing I said about hormones in with stuff like the Duncan Gwen and Courtney love triangle? IT MAKES SENSE!!!
With all these added factors plus the fact they are kids PLUS the fact they are going to make mistakes- BAD DECISIONS ARE MADE!!! BUT ITS COMPLETELY UNDERSTANDABLE IF YOU THINK RATIONALLY ABOUT WHY THEY HAD TO ACT OUT LIKE THEY DID.
Whether it be morally dubiously (if not even,,,) going about winning the competition, cheating on your girlfriend, literally doing ANYTHING these kids did- IT MAKES COMPLETE SENSE TO SEE WHY THEY ACTED LIKE THEY DID RATIONALLY.

Read more about some of my thoughts on previous finalists below.
With previous finalists, it felt like there was more of a theme. Total Drama Island had the introvert (Gwen) VS. the extrovert (Owen). Action had the book smart (Beth) VS. the street smart (Duncan). World Tour had the "lesser evil" (Heather) VS. the "greater evil" (Alejandro). Revenge of the Island had the nerd (Cameron) VS. the jock (Lightning).
All Stars kinda just went with a couple (Mike and Zoey) and called it good (I didn't personally like this season, and it kinda had no theme I think). I don't really think that Pahkitew Island had specific winners, either. They went with a nut job (Shawn) VS. some girl (Sky). (As you can see, I'm pretending to know what I'm talking about. I did not watch Pahkitew Island enough to know these characters as much as the other seasons'.)
The Reboot's original finalists didn't have the first four season's thing, and chose a character that was basically born to play this game (Priya) VS. the series' first openly gay character (Bowie). If I was to choose the finalists while keeping one of these original finalists, it would have been Priya VS. Damien (because Damien has no idea what this game is about while Priya definitely does) or maybe Bowie VS. Zee (because Bowie is supposed to be really competitive and Zee definitely is not that).
I could easily be overthinking this, of course. But I can honestly work with whatever. I love [almost] all of these characters and I'm willing to give any of them a better shot at the million.

(Off Topic: The wiki has Bowie's label listed as the "Lovable Party Boy", but I don't remember him being particularly interested in partying. I believe it was to be less offensive, since being labeled the "Gay One" is kinda rude, but the label just doesn't work. Actually, a few of the new contestants' labels don't really work. Like, what is "The Gorgeous with a Side of Substance" (Nichelle) supposed to mean? "The Bad Boy" (Ripper) doesn't really work either. I'm not giving fault to the Wiki runners; I don't blame them for this, because it's not their fault. I'm just complaining.)

Just curious, what’s your feelings on each season of TDI? I’m sorry if this has been asked before, I was looking and didn’t see anything. Favorite, least favorite? How do you feel about 2023 in comparison to other seasons?

here's my preference from favorite to least:
World Tour, Island, Ridonculous Race, Action, 2023, Revenge, Pahkitew, All Stars
I really really like the new season so far. It's definitely not... AMAZING, but it's way better than i thought it would be. i love the new cast, the animation is nice, and i liked most of the challenges we saw. it's such a shame they're cutting into half seasons instead of one long season.
all stars sucks. the cast they chose was garbage, the decisions they made WITH the cast were garbage, everything about this season was garbage. well. it had some funny parts. but it was mostly garbage. the only reason pahkitew is above it is because at least pahkitew didn't assassinate the personalities of our beloved characters. also i love shawn and jasmine.
RR was one of the shows that got me through a really shitty time in my life, so i'll always be SUPER fond of it, even if i didnt agreeeee with some of the choices (cough forcing noah into a romance cough). it was a really refreshing new format with REALLY INTERESTING CHALLENGES!!!!! also i love Don. fuck Don haters. we love ALL total drama hosts in this household. ALSO THE BLAINELEY CAMEO IN THE FINAL EP. SHE AAAAATTTTEEEE. i would be soooo so happy if they ever decided to do RR again
also i do like what little ive seen of total dramarama. its not something i would like.... watch unless im trying to pass time at my job... but i think its a cute show and can be pretty funny at times. baby duncan and cody are definitely my favs in that show.
world tour and island are nearly tied for first place. island just has this raw, deadpan humor that isnt matched by ANY season, not by a long shot, but world tour has Alejandro Burromuerto AND music. i am a musical theatre nerd AT MY CORE!!!! i used to listen to the soundtrack for world tour obsessively. i still know pretty much all the words to every single song.
revenge is a season i havent actually rewatched recently, but i do love the cast from it, especially mike cameron and zoe's friendship (basic, i know). i used to be a huge scott/dawn shipper too. Action is also a season i dont really watch or think about. but it's definitely still one of the best. i am deffo going to need to rewatch it before i write ANY trent fic.
ok i think that about covers everything GENERALLY
i really hope the next season of 2023 has damien in the finale two, and i hope we see wayne and raj split into different teams. GAh theres so much i want to see them do that they wont HAVE TIME FOR!!!! DAMN YOU 13 EPISODE FORMAT!!!

Blaineley! or Sierra your choice
i have mmmmmno thoughts about blaineley at all except that she can, like, get it. but we all know that
sierra is such an interesting character. in theory anyway. she's one of those that had so much potential and fresh did not deliver at all. to state the obvious the cody thing is awful and is a shit stain on the whole world tour season
buuuut. other than that. if we just say it never happened. she has a really cute personality and also is so freaking weird like there's a shot in all stars where she went to sleep like a dog on top of the bed that makes me lose it every time. and at the same time she knows literally everything there is to know about total drama which, combined with the fact that she's mad strong and has a bunch of random skills, makes her the objective strongest player by far. she could have won world tour and she could have won all stars
i like fanon sierra a lot. canon sierra not so much. but that's like the most lukewarm take one can say on td tumblr lmao

An Idea For An AU
Ok so I have been sitting on this idea for a while and I just thought I should put the explanation here for if I write chapters for it.
Ok so basically:
One day on Boney Island poachers, looking to take Ezekiel back to Toronto, arrived and started to hunt him down. In an attempt to escape them, Zeke went into the Fun Zone and found a pool of an acid-looking substance. Unfortunately for Zeke however one poacher followed him and shot him, causing him to fall into the acid.
After this he woke up back on the farm, his own body strung up in front of him, a noose tied around his neck. This Ezekiel was dead. Then he heard his mother calling him and saying that if he didn't come down now the Total Drama people would leave without him and he wouldn't be able to go back on the show. Zeke comes down and his put on the TD Bus. After a few hours Zeke and the other contestants arrive at an airport where Zeke realises he is in a universe set in the past where World Tour hasn't happened yet.
He decides this is a second chance for him and decides to attempt a friendship with Alejandro. Consequently, Zeke is put onto Team Chris along with it's original members.
Through the season, most is normal expect Zeke is a competitor through most of the season, Starting a nice friendship then eventual romance with Alejandro.
Though this is a relatively happy story, no story is decent without a villain.
Meet Beginner World Chris McLean. The Chris from Zeke’s universe who loves nothing more than putting a certain homeschool under distress.
One day while checking on a black eye, sustained in a challenge. Zeke's reflection manafested into Chris. Whenever Zeke looks into a mirror while Chris is there,his reflection will not show. It's almost like a portal. (Example- The mirror world from Salad Fingers ep11-Glass Brother)
Sidenote- Due to it's accuracy to the original season, there will only be one new challenge that ends in elimination.

Favorite TD moments?
Thank you for the question. TBH the moments I remember most tend to be the funny ones BUT I will try to list out one fave character/plot moment from each season.
RR: I think I talk about Emma's ending with Kitty before, and I've talked about the air guitar episode. So I won't talk about those. Instead I'll talk about the time MacArthur saved Josee's life by sharing her oxygen thingy majig. I love moments when enemies put aside their grievances in face of a bigger danger.
Likewise, I like the scene where Tom&Jen finally get over their lil hissy fit and become friends again. They're not enemies, just besties going through a minor tiff, but still. I love a good reconciliation.
Pakhitew: When Shawn saved Jasmine by facing his zombie fear. This whole season he's been battling his zombie-phobia, to the point of hurting Jasmine, and saying it's better to not get attached becaus then you'll prioritize your girl over your own safety.... but then he does it!! And becomes a better person! I rlly like Shawn lol.
All Stars: Uhhhh. We'll come back to this one.
ROTI: The time where Cameron got Jo eliminated. Jo had been using the guy as an underling, but finally he strikes back and it's great. She finally recognizes him as a real threat, he tells him "i learned it from you," and for at once Jo is at peace. It's a great transition moment too, because he's finally surpassing her.
World Tour: It's my favorite season so I should have a bunch of moments to pick from but uhh. I think I like this season more for the dialogue than anything else. Uhh. I like the moment where Lindsay says she'd never laugh at her boyfriend, because Tyler had been the laughingstock of the season, yet she truly does care for him. It's so sweet. They're supposed to be the dumb-dumb couple, and they are, but they defend each other and help each other, and stay with each other, when other people would have given up. It's like allyship within a community. I love them.
Action: This is small, but Justin's crush on Courtney is such a good character moment imo. It feels out of nowhere, but the guy has been struggling with the beauty vs brains debate this whole season, "Math is for ugly people," and he feels like it has to be one or the other. But then he sees Courtney and he's like wow she has the best of both worlds. And it's an epiphany. That you CAN do that. Yeah it's kinda silly that anyone would think otherwise, but it's a realization that would have a big impact. I HC that this is why he joined the Total Drama Brothers. Because he wanted to try something new that wasn't just beauty. And he chose music. Sure he's not good at music, but it's still new. Being a celebrity singer is a meld between being pretty and being good at music, so it's a good first step.
Island: Uhh, gonna go back to All Stars now.
All Stars: I think that the finale having a huge castle is cool.
Island:
Total Dramarama: Noah catching the ball. He may have objected to working out, and he may have made his teacher’s life hell, but when he caught the ball and realized he Could be Good at Sports, he was very happy. And it was rlly cute.
Island: It's not that there's no good moments in Island but there's not a lot that resonated with me? I know Lindsay had a cool moment, that Harold saved his team again and again, that Courtney did something nice because of Duncan, that Courtney did something mean because of Duncan. I just don't care about Island that much lmaoo.
Uhh. As a noco shipper I liked it when - *gets shot*.

Hmmm, opinions on all seasons?

island: 8/10! its silly, a little edgy but not distractingly so. i love the background, casual moments between characters. its light on plot and drama but it is a great introduction to the cast, their relationships, and the tone of the series. great comfort watch!
action: ?/10. i rate it like that because it really depends on my mood lol! there are parts of action i really love and others i really hate with like. no middle ground? i thought the duncan/beth finale was fun and the justin antag arc was both hilarious and genuinely cool. its kind of a chore to watch though, the strongest feeling i remember while watching action was a sense of "how did they stretch this into 25 episodes"
world tour: 7.5/10 i really liked world tour on my first watch but the more i consider it, the more im neutral on it. i love sierra and alejandro but a lottt of characters got derailed in turn. mainly gwourtney and everyone who fell for alejandro. the characters feel kind of one-note too? conflicts come and go super quickly as well. but the constant action works in its favor! i was never bored :-) also noahs back which is good
revenge of the island: 8.5/10! incredibly fun with so many lovable characters who all provide some unique but still grounded qualities to the show. also one of, if not THE funniest season. i just remember it feeling so incredibly empty. its not the size of the cast bc i didnt feel that way about all stars or pahkitew island, its just something abt the tone and the way shots are framed. its definitely still getting used to the feeling of a smaller cast lol. great season i like it a lot!
all stars: 5/10. i dont hate any season of total drama but this comes Close. which ik is not a new opinion but still. the dialogue is so unnatural and fake, and while i actually enjoy the direction they went with some characters (scottney and much sillier alejandro) a LOT of them went completely unhinged. also there werent many g1-g2 interactions as i expected? sadface :-( the elimination order is kinda strange too and the zoke finale was a snoozefest.
pahkitew island: 10/10!! you knew where this was going. yes i love pahkitew island so much its unreal. it clearly doesnt take itself seriously and is just a really fun watch to me. the characters are all cool and likable in their own right, with a surprising amount of detail in the form of background conversations and unassuming friendships!! theres a lot of ambiguity behind everything too, from the setting to the characters, so its fun to theorize and headcanon about :-D its pretty different tonally from the rest of the show, which is honestly a really nice refresher from the drama-heavy all stars and world tour. A+ my fav

td2023: 6/10: pretty funny! i like the character designs and concepts, they were all likable and decent enough for me. i just dont have many thoughts on it? it doesnt feel like total drama, and i have no clue why. the voice acting? the subplots? idk!! its like a really good fanmade show, which isnt a bad thing, its just A Thing. it also suffers from the roti emptiness, it feels really like. muffled. idk confusing thoughts on 23. definitely dont hate it though!!

R-Race was the only one that left me truly "Aw man" about it. The characters who are my favorites to watch vs. those who I would expect and/or desire the narrative to reward with my author eyes are absolutely different, ha ha.
So for those who don't know, in the first 3 seasons (maybe more?), the two finalists each have an ending, and different endings air in different countries (I believe they were determined by voting on the Total Drama website during the final week).
All my TD 'fics take place in the same universe and the canon winners in my storyline were Owen, Duncan (who felt guilt-ridden about it, which was the plot of my one-shot "Chris Missed"), Heather, Cameron, Zoey, Shawn... I didn't post any R-Race 'fics beyond the opening bits of Lions Under Palm Trees, but I remember being disappointed by the winners. But that's more because I dislike Geoff with a fiery passion than anything else.
The characters I would argue are the narrative's main characters of their season... I would say Gwen for Island, Duncan for Action, Cody for World Tour, Mike for Revenge, Zoey for All-Stars, Jasmine for Pahkitew, and the cops for Race. Those aren't necessarily the people I personally want to be winners; just saying I think that's who the writers liked a lot and it showed.
World Tour was my first season; I was exposed to it by a sibling listening to it in the same room as me (which also means Aleheather came out of NOWHERE for me because it was purely audio exposure and missed all the small visual cues and I thought they just hated each other... I mean, I've rewatched the series several times since then and I still dislike this ship because I feel like it came out of nowhere and I don't feel any love between them, but idk how much of that was influenced by my first non-visual exposure to their relationship. And just because it's a NOTP for me, that doesn't mean I consider it non-canon... but that's how I write all my 'fics when my NOTPs are canon, so).
I was definitely exposed to the World Tour versions of Courtney's, Heather's, Cody's, Ezekiel's, and Noah's personalities before their Island selves, which I think influences my interest in them as characters in the prequels. Hands down TDWT favorite season, absolutely no contest for me. Pahkitew is close second, though.
I think Cody's the only character I would consider myself to be "rooting for" during a season. The concept of a character who got mauled by a bear in his first season, had to sit out the second season, then finally comes back and gets a fangirl who is obsessed with him to the point that he can barely participate in half the challenges because she is In The Way is SO funny. I also feel like Cody suffered more than most characters on the show due to the combo of bear mauling and having his boundaries consistently violated... He deserved a win. I know he's already a rich kid but I don't care.
In no particular order, my favorite characters in the series are Ezekiel, Eva, Noah, Leonard, Topher, Max, Dwayne Junior, and the Adversity Twins, but I wouldn't describe myself as rooting for them... they got as much screen time as they needed to. Leonard and Topher are some of the best characters I've ever seen in media though, I love them so much <3 To this day, I've never loved writing a character as much as I've loved writing Leonard. He's SO funny and he's a goofy little angel. I have so many unfinished Leonard drafts... I'd love to finish those 'fics someday, but I just don't have time to do everything.
I don't know what current fandom opinions on Topher are, but back when Pahkitew was airing, my quip to my siblings was that "Topher is so manipulative, he even fooled the fandom into thinking he's not as bad as he is." That kid played up the manipulative angle to look shallow on purpose... to hide the fact that he legitimately was super manipulative. He's fantastic. I haven't seen Pahkitew in about 7 years so a fresh watch might affect me differently, but... man. Topher, my absolute beloved.
(In my 'verse Topher is the son of Don (the R-Race host) which means he was just chilling around the elimination area in my R-Race elimination 'fic Lions Under Palm Trees, and man... my love for "character who lives in a hotel, doesn't have either of his parents around, who has mostly been left to care for himself, and he looks up to his dad with stars in his eyes despite also being the most manipulative slimeball in the world..." He's horrific, wants you to think he's a cinnamon roll but can and will absolutely destroy you just because he's bored... I love that 'fic draft so much.)
One of my favorite R-Race teams was also the couple who was super mushy at the start and then started fighting all the time (I think their names were Ryan and Stephanie, but it's been years so I might be wrong). I didn't feel attached to them as characters but I loved how they were portrayed, if that makes sense. My family were big fans of Amazing Race for years (used to watch it weekly) and we watched the second half of R-Race together as a family. We were crying laughing about how accurate their fighting was to the couples who actually participate in Amazing Race. Absolutely 10/10 characterization. No notes.
I don't know if any of that answers your original question, but that's kind of all I have to say. I liked characters who did neat things, but if they weren't competitive enough to fight for victory then they did not deserve to and I would have been mad if they ended up in the finals despite not being a good player. If you're weak then you deserve to go home like the weak links you are <3
I root for "being fun to watch" I guess. And Cody in World Tour.
(Zeke deserved better but also I wouldn't change his World Tour arc for a second. Becoming blinded with obsession to the point that you literally become a twisted, feral version of yourself and start hunting the other characters down and that's it, that's your character arc is the best thing I've ever seen. That moment of quietly cold, calculated, absolutely suppressed fury on Zeke's face after he kidnaps Chris in "All Stars" and Chris is monologuing about every horrible thing he's ever done to Zeke is my everything. That moment when you see what a broken human he's become. That moment he realizes Chris doesn't care he's hurting and doesn't want to help him because feral Zeke is "good content." I need everyone to understand.)
