Tony has definitely bought Rhodey a Nintendo Switch so he can play Animal Crossing.

yep except him and rhodey made the mistake of sharing an island (tony thought it'd be more romantic) and almost came to blows when rhodey dug up all the fossils and tony took all the fruits in retaliation.

pepper caught them trying to pin each other down in a headlock, their shirts ripped, them hurling expletives at each other while tom nook stared dolefully from the large flat screen tv.

"traitorous bastard, you knew i wanted the fossils," tony screamed.

"greedy little asshole, you didn't need to empty out the entire orchard," rhodey snapped back.

pepper whipped out her phone to livestream it and later even gave nintendo permission to use the footage in a commercial for the new iron man and war machine themed joy-cons.

In defense of Tom Nook

I hear a lot of people calling Tom Nook a greedy bastard for suckering you into buying bigger and bigger houses while "exploiting your labor", but I actually disagree with this interpretation.

In this Vice article the author uses the price of the switch to create a conversation rate from Bells to USD (1 Bell is worth ~1¢) this means the first house Tom Nook sells you costs about $1000, and he's understanding enough to offer you a completely flexible payment plan, with no deadlines or interest. He makes sure your needs are met first and worries about recouping his costs after.

His family also routinely buys all manner of off things off of me for extremely generous prices too. I'll often wander around the island for 20 minutes catching bugs, fish, shells, and gathering raw materials, at the end of which I will sell it to them for something in the range of 5,000 bells. ($50!) That works out to a ballpark wage of $150/hour. And you can't even argue that the hourly wage calculation is flawed because the game is synched to real time.

Honestly, if you make $150/hour and get sold a house for $1000, and you feel like your labor is being taken advantage of because you're asked to help the community from time to time, you're being a bit of a prick.

ok it USED to be located on a really small spot on the beach but then i was like "ok i guess ill move" after being bullied by my friend and her mom so now i live in a densely wooded area on my island away from everyone else >:)

SO my two favorite villagers rn are jock and peppy types... i really like the peppy ones cause theyre so baby 🥺

UHHHHH i dont think so?? but i recently discovered that if u mash A while crafting it speeds it up 👉👈 and also when KK comes to perform u can request "secret" songs that u can only get if he performs them (like Drivin'), idk if these are secret tips tho!

hmm i dont have much rn... but i like anything glowy. i have a theme in my main room rn, where its dark and in the middle sits my fortune telling atlas moth, and most of the furniture in there glows

I VIBE WITH THE GAS MASK but currently my fav fit rn is green farmer overalls, recycled boots, nook inc bandana, and the mouth leaf hehe

not to be stereotypical on main but the butterfly room is so pretty but i also really love the deep sea fish room

Do you have any favorite animal crossing villagers or NPCs?

Ohh, I do! My favorite NPC of them all is Tom Nook! I have a weakness for characters who are a mix of greedy bastards and benevolent uncles. Although he’s much more mild and less corrupt than my most known favorite characters who embody this trope, heh. But I like them all, really! Dr. Shrunk and Redd are very close seconds.

As for villagers, it’s hard to say! I like so many of them… someone should make a version of the favorite Pokémon picker for Animal Crossing characters… I’ll go with a tie between Vesta, Moe and Monique for now!

Unpopular opinion I actually like Tom Nook, why do people hate him?

I guess it’s because people portray him as a greedy bastard who wants your bells

but in game he’s a patient man who doesn’t rush you at all and doesn’t demand any payment and let’s you pay your house whenever you want and helps you out with saving up bells by having Timmy and Tommy buy your stuff in their shop that used to be his. ya’ll should really look up his backstory, it’s sad but pretty informative of what he’s been going through :0c
