I don't know how old the post was, but I like the idea of the construction and illusion covens having a small philosophy differences that leads them to butting heads.
With this in mind I now like to think that Mason and Adrian just hate each other because of all that.
I already headcannon that Adrian and Raine hate each other because of how different they are with performances and personality, but to add Mason to the mix here is really funny to me for some reason.
Adrian just has a lot of enemies. Raine, Gus, and now Mason lol.
I hadn't thought about bards in that equation yet!
So, I would think that Bards and Illusionists usually get along just fine, because they are both the creative type and often work together.
Usually. Because yes, Raine and Adrian can't stand each other.
Now, talking about Bard and Construction Magic, I'd say there is a bit more respect between those covens:
Playing an instrument is more physical than casting illusions and the effort and training needed is more apparent to a construction witch.
And of course, instruments need to be constructed, so bards are more likely to gain an appreciation for good craftsmanship.
But there are definitely also some bards that are elitist jerks, and some construction witches that see bards as weaklings.
Back to Adrian and Mason, I'd headcanon that the reason they don't get along is not because of their covens "rivalvry". Mason has no patience for such nonsense.
Mason dislikes Adrian because the latter is a terrible leader, and should never have been given the title of head witch. Mason can't stand incompetence.
Adrian on the other hand is fully on board with the whole rivalry between their covens and might even stoke the flames a bit if he can.

I don't think they'd be besties though. Maybe they'd work together but, at the last second, take advantage of the other for their own personal gain
They'd probably bond over their obsession with their brothers and using books against others (AFO with his comic book and Belos with the bible since he's a puritan) but on the whole I can see them going against each other at some point

Quick question about the Eda raises two gods thing! Does King know he's a Titan, or is Enzo's well founded trauma and wariness getting in the way of telling King out of fear of King accidentally letting it slip because of how young he is, or fear of others possibly over hearing them and thus wanting to take King away from him?
Nobody knows King is a Titan except Enzo, they purposefully keep that information to themself out of the fear that someone will overhear and try to take King or the Titan trappers hear or that somehow worst case scenario, Belos/Philip will find out and come after him, which is something they are extremely worried about. Enzo goes to worst case scenarios very easily.

I can't help but think about the Boiling Isles having naturally occurring portals all around itself because of the properties of Titan's blood, spewing human trash in quantities large enough to sustain an ecosystem - to say nothing of the Portal Door, myths inspired by the Demon Realm, and Penstagram. It feels a little underexplored. If witches have so much human stuff (entirely independent of Belos, mind you) and so many indirect connections to humanity, then how has humanity been affected?
There are some interesting points here.
Personally, I like the idea that natural portals were more common in the past, because the Titan Blood is slowly seeping out and might eventually run out.
This would mean that in the past there was more magic (and demons) in the Human Realm as well, leading to all the myths and legends, possible even allowing for some human witches to exist there.
So, on how much that affected humanity?
Probably not a lot in an evolutionary sense, but it might have had big implications in a cultural sense.
Myths, legends and superstitions, even Entire Religions might have gotten their start because of this.
(Some more thoughts on other parts of the ask under the cut)
On the other hand, I'd say the show can be very inconsistent when it comes to the question on how much the human realm influenced the Boiling Isles - everyone speaks English, they have TV and Phones and even social media and human trash is so common that the beaches are covered in it, but also humans are treated as this big mystery that no one seems to know much about, not even Human Experts.
("Planet of Humans? Preposterous.")
(-> I assume this is based on a rule of funny more than anything else.)
Bringing Belos into this context is also very interesting - I like the idea that he might have spread some misinformation on purpose (maybe to make sure he wouldn't be recognized as a human?)
But also, despite the wealth of human realm media and items that make it to the Isles, it seems that Belos doesn't have a clue on how the world has changed since he left.
The other thing I have to think about is that the amount of human trash is a somewhat recent phenomenon, so we have to assume that those ecosystems had to adapt to that in the last one or two hundred years.
Maybe Trash Slugs weren't always Trash Slugs. Eda says they grow until they "croak from too much salt", but that seems suspect for an organism that naturally lives on the beach (not too mention that most of the trash inside of them isn't even digested).
Which makes me wonder if those "Trash Slugs" maybe used to live of something else, like decomposing carcasses or dead wood/shipwrecks. Maybe they used to get older as well?

Metty! Metty! It’s been a while (hope you’re well 😊) but what did you think of TOH’s ending?
Brainrot! Brainrot! I LOVED IT!
I was crying even before the episode began. I brought the episode up, started getting emotional, pressed play, and 1 second in I was already head-in-hands about how this is the last episode lol. But by the end I just felt so warm and happy that it was finishing with everybody getting happy endings
(more under cut because I talked about specific spoilers)
And the animation! The found family of it all! Luz's look was just SO 🤩🤩, and HUNTER MAKING PALISMANS! CAMILA AND EDA MEETING! HARPY LILITH! KING WANTING TO SEE THE COLLECTOR AGAIN! MY HEART, MY CHILDREN, I LOVE THEM. Eda becoming a headmaster?? She'd be so supportive of people who learn differently 😭
I was not prepared to hear Collector crying and being upset. My baby. My little one. I will protect him from everything bad in the world. That's my child of the stars now
Gotta admit, I laughed so hard when Belos tried to manipulate Luz again. He's so hopeless fr, and the way he died?? Slowly worn away by boiling rain and STOMPED TO DEATH by 2 witches in love and a Titan child LMAO It fits him
I'm only a little saddened by the reminder that Dana wanted to show more of the story in it's entirety and couldn't (*shakes fist at Disney*) but I can't reflect on that for long because the way this show ended was still so <3 <3 <3 despite it all
Aaaaa I'm just happy this series exists 😭
