Their captors have no discernible schedule, the boss comes and goes sporadically, here for the longest amounts of time whenever he's actually performing a "surgery". Maybe these hours are just dragging on and it hasn't been the week Ranboo feels like it has. Maybe he still has a chance that someone will find him.

Dearest Wilbur—

Don’t you dare say I’m copying you for writing a letter, even though you’d be right. Plenty of people write letters. Anyways, it’s not likely that you’re going to see this letter; it’s going to be too much to tell you. You see, I’m writing to you, dear Wilbur, because I want a.-- Prime, I can’t bring myself to write it yet — I’ll say at the end.

I know you’ll let me back— maybe that’s part of why this is hard: I'm afraid of taking advantage of your feelings (which are very obvious, by the way). Do I still want you? Did I ever want you? Or was it just the circumstances?

I’m sorry. Now I really shouldn’t send this letter because I’m saying hurtful things that aren’t true again. I know I like you because I’m doing this, writing this stupid letter, even though you’re not around.

Assuming you weren’t black-out drunk, and I know that you weren’t, you remember the night we got wasted together. Neither of us started out wanting that, of course: I remember the sun wasn’t even down when you came into the casino to bother me. I was behind the bar, so you came over and asked for a drink. I asked if you would pay and you said you wouldn’t but I gave you one anyways. You had batted your eyelashes at me and I thought to myself, “I’m too sober to handle this,” so I poured myself a drink as well.

You started talking to me, stuff like asking how my day was going — I remember that one because I was surprised how much you cared about the answer. You kept trying to stop me from serving other customers and getting back my attention as soon as possible. I’m sure you cost me some profit. You’d be happy to have accomplished that.

Eventually though, everybody left and it was just me and you. I got up to close to casino and you followed me, and then for some reason — because I f*cking like you, okay? — I walked you back to the bar and we kept drinking and talking. Occasionally, there would be a break in the conversation, but since we were so drunk, it didn’t bother us. And since we were drunk, it didn’t matter how much we were staring at each other. (I noticed you. Did you—-) You have gorgeous eyes -- you must have been told that in the past. I like the way your hair falls across your face, the shape of your lips — were you wearing lip gloss that night? Look, what I'm trying to say is that you're beautiful and very handsome and you have my attention.

We were sitting on the same side of the bar at this point - I was serving a bit more of watered-down-whatever that I left on the counter when we wanted it. It was getting late, the windows dark and the sounds outside different. I remember we leaned in towards each other, just a little. And you sat there looking pretty and I could have brushed back your hair and kissed your grays and blamed the drink. I could’ve, but I didn’t.

I wish I did. I wish things were simpler between us. I wish I didn’t think about you so much, but I do, it’s gotten to a point where you make me happy, so please — Please give me and us a second chance.
