gojo constantly tells you he'd die for you. at the start of your relationship, you would kind of roll your eyes at the comment. he's so dramatic, you'd think to yourself, though you'd appreciate the sentiment nonetheless. but as time went on, and as your relationship blossomed, you began to feel a pang in your heart every time he said it.

an ache so deep in your spirit, that you could cry whenever he'd go on a mission. because you knew, that while he was fighting for a better society, for the eradication of curses and corruption, there was a large part of him that was fighting solely for you. for your safety. and if that meant he had to die for that to happen, so be it.

i don't want you to die for me. words you never thought you'd have to say to the love of your life. you want to spend the rest of your life with this man. why must he insist on showing his love in death?

he'd always give you a little smile when you'd say that, because he knows tears will be following soon after.

i know. there wasn't much more to be said after that. just a mutual understanding that a devastating heartbreak is lingering somewhere down the line, inevitable. he just hopes that in his next life, he gets to spend more time with you.

#evangelion #ritsuko akagi #misato katsuragi #nge #the Eva episode of all time #the juxtaposition of Misato and Ritsuko arguing about how the handle the angel in the previous scene to them together here #Like Misato calls Ritsuko out for never relying on anyone or asking for help in the last scene and in this scene Misato is helping Ritsuko #the implication being that Ritsuko does ask Misato to help her or Misato forced her way in and Ritsuko let her join her in MAGI #the close proximity in a cramped space that is essentially the soul/brain of your mother #the two of them working in tandem with Misato reminiscing on their college years years #ritsuko answering misatos questions and willingly devulging likely classified information is in sharp contrast to the coming episodes #the entire scene feels very intimate and is a great look at their relationship when they don’t have to have their walls up #neon genesis evangelion #this single Misato and Ritsuko moment is better and more showing of their relationship than the entirety of their interactions in the #rebuilds

Having a normal time (debating on whether or not time lords can be classified as mammals)

#I am doing this instead of working on my actual mammology homework #like they obviously didn’t evolve on earth but they do have a lot of traits that mammals do #idk if it’s explicitly stated anywhere but they seem to be endothermic #also they have hair although I wonder if it’s made of something other than keratin #or is there like some sort of universal convergent evolution with that #actually it would be interesting if time lord hair wasn’t made of keratin because then what would it be made of #and if it wasn’t would that mean they also had non keratin nails #this is not the point but I got off track #it’s also not that they give live birth but that’s like because of a curse they used to do that #also like when they did have actual children did they produce milk to feed them or was there some other way #so like they might be able to be classified as mammals because they fit some of those things and it’s a unsure on the others #I should really be doing my homework or like studying #I have an exam tomorrow #this is fine #time lord speculative biology is more fun #doctor who #time lords

If you mess with somebody's mobility/life-preserving aid and all you got was yelled at by the disabled person in question, just know you got off easy. Fucking with somebody's aid can easily become a matter of life-or-death, so you have to understand why somebody would "lash out" about that.

#disability #ableism #ableism tw #reminder that fucking with somebody's aid can easily be classified under physical assault (which is what it is)#still fuming about the time my dad talked about how other people would fuck with his CPAP machine since it *has* to be plugged in an outlet #like. do you understand that not having a CPAP machine can easily either severely negatively affect somebody or kill them..#like why would the thought even cross your mind to risk somebody's life or wellbeing like that #but like. it just kind of reminds me that people can be really thoughtless about what they do and cause and effect #like at this point it's self-defense in my eyes and if you're yelled at i don't have sympathy #i will understand if you thought you were being nice but that's where my understanding ends #this is why i like when people have huge patches/stickers on their aids that are like 'DO NOT TOUCH ME' or 'I WILL BITE IF YOU TOUCH ME'#just as examples. but like. yes you shouldn't need to put that there in the first place but it is iconic #it is in-your-face and direct and it reminds everybody around you that it is up to *them* to treat *you* as an equal to abled people #it is bleak though and i hate that people have the need to put them there in the first place #if i ever needed to use more visible or 'obtrusive' aids then i'd absolutely do the same thing though

Tails and Nine can tecnobbable to their heart's content since they know each of the proper terminologies and understand the formulas that Mangey is starting to learn as well, on paper at least.

Sails doesn't bother.

He knows the practical side of tech and doesn't feel the need to write three books calculating the energy output and friction caused by a gear complex, or the bearing capacity of its hinges, he just makes it and if it holds up then that is that. He's also an absolute headache to get through and understand the slang he uses for everything.

Okay so this is not my usual thing, but huge shout-out @vaguelybinary for suggesting this one because it sent me down a super fascinating history rabbit hole.

This song's lyrics showcase a Yiddish poem-turned-class struggle song, and this is a modern adaptation of that song.

It also combines themes of socialist feminism with the ideals of the Yiddish Labour Bund.

Anyway, I haven't posted nearly enough klezmer and Daniel Kahn is the musical brilliance behind the Yiddish version of Cohen's Hallelujah.

(And I've also stayed pretty religious in my posts, with very few secular songs. To wit, I mostly do not listen to secular music, so this suggestion was especially helpful.)

So here you go! Enjoy some klezmer, Jewish history, and a fully contemporary message of solidarity with women as workers!
