Been listening to “Respectless” again and I’m honestly thinking about a scenario that could fit in the Monsters Inc franchise

So let’s say the CEO’s of the major energy companies (Monsters Inc, Fear Co, Scare Masters, etc.) decide to have a meeting to find out the best techniques to get more energy for Monstropolis or something like that and just like in Monsters University, Johnny starts shit. Cue a singing battle between Mike (having Carmila’s role) and Johnny (having Velvette’s role). Sully is basically the Zestial singing “We can’t act without more intelligence” like the reasonable king he is

After Mike’s “This meeting’s over!”, we see Tylor, Val, and the MIFT crew with their ears pressed against the door and Fritz, bless him, says “Ooh, this sounds like a very productive meeting!”

As one person said, MaW is only 4 episodes but already ate. Everything is just great. The story, the characters, the lore, the fact we are seeing more of the Monster World, Johnny is now a main character who has appeared in all the episodes so far and his kids are the cutest mini monsters ever. I really want to hug J.J. and PLEASE JOHNNY DON'T MAKE HIM HAVE GENERATIONAL TRAUMA I BEG YOU.

Mike are Sully are so in character and it's obvious the beach ball would still remember the ROR president being a jerk and a bully back then while Sulley has made amends with that.

Poor, poor Sulley doesn't deserve everything that happened in that AWFUL, super biased interview. Jill might be one of the MI characters I dislike the most, even more than Waternoose.

"Once a cheater, always a cheater" my arse.

The scene with Val and the kid was so wholesome. I have the headcanon that she's princess Tiana and Naveen's descendant, as it would make sense for her family/descendants to not be afraid of big, non-human creatures if their best pal was a giant, "scary" bipedal alligator.

Love the journey inside Fear Co. and LOVE Joy. Oh my Lord, another lizard monster in the MI franchise finally!

I hope to see more about her on episode 6 (heard that episode 5 is about Tylor's family) and how she would react to Tylor possibly becoming #1 in few weeks if he gets to work at Fear Co.

For her introduction she seems like a nice, kind and easy-going lady but then there's the S2 poster where she looks angry at Tylor, the fact that she somewhat *glares* when Johnny says that "she wouldn't be number one for too long" and the fact that Randall was genuinely kind in the prequel only to become bitter later.

Though I really REALLY hope that Joy doesn't turn out to be evil or petty. She can be an antagonist, that's fine... but two resentful lizards over corporative validation? That's... not sending the right message, if you know what I mean.

Also not to be speciest, but are they somehow related? Siblings, cousins, friends? Idk, they seem like they could have history in the past, but that's just me.

Speaking about history: Sunny and Cutter. Oh yeah, there was DEFINETLY something there. Can't wait to see what drove them apart. They would be unstoppable together.

Roger Rogers is obviously more than just the new MIFT guy, but I'm just enjoying his cover so far. He's likable and his songs are catchy. I just hope he doesn't hurt Fritz in the "I never cared about you nor your job" kind of way. That would be so sad. He may be a spy, but he doesn't have to be cruel. We will see.

Duncan is Duncan, hating Tylor and stuff just say you love him you overgrow bean!

Thoughts on episodes 3 and 4: SPOILERS AHEAD IF YOU HAVEN’T SEEN THEM

I think we all knew something was up with Roger Rogers. I still like him well enough but he HAS to be a spy. You remember what he said in that canister room? That’s the kinda thing that undercover spies say. Whether or not he’s truly a good dude is beyond me. And how else could the key have gone missing?

I gotta agree with Johnny that the I Scream, You Scream interview was TOTALLY 100% biased and bullshit. Yeah Sully worked with Waternoose, but that was before ANYONE knew he was a criminal! And who do you think was the reason Waternoose is in prison? SULLY AND MIKE, THAT’S WHAT. SO TAKE THAT, JILL

Lmao poor Duncan he was so ready to take the job

I completely get Sully’s opinion of Johnny, tbh. College WAS a long time ago and people change since then. It’s kinda nice that they’re cordial

Having said that, I’m more on Mike’s side. Johnny pulled a Carrie, that’s not exactly something you can forget. Forgive, maybe. But forget? Hell no

Okay but Val bonding with the kid she was assigned to was so sweet 😭. I think that’s what Tylor has trouble with cuz he’s so awkward. I actually had something like that in mind beforeheand but that’s another story

I knew I’d like Joy the minute I saw her. I don’t know what the writers are gonna do with her yet but she seems like a sweetheart! I wonder if she’ll be the opposite of Randall? 🤔

Rose moved to Fear Co which is a shame cuz I wanted to see her become a jokester but all power to her. Also I love her voice :)

I see Crab Cakes is back and still kissing Johnny’s butt. The fact he was listening through the door proves he hasn’t changed a bit lmaooooo

Claire and her kids are back. I still wanna know the love story between them tbh. Like HOW?

Actually, maybe she was the one to humble Johnny after college and make him grow into a better monster. It’s happened before
