I have never seen anything like this remodeled 1930 home in Rochester, MN. It has 3bds, 3ba, and is completely tiled inside and out. The exterior is basically bathroom tile. Asking $849K. Well, at least you don't have to ever paint, just spray it down with shower cleaner.
Tumblr media
You'd think that it would at least be something other than the usual white, gray, and black. And, you don't even have the option of painting. Ever.
Tumblr media
Tile stairs go up into the living room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't really like the small subway-type tiles on the walls in here. Even the fireplace is tile. The bookshelves & ceilings, however, are wood.
Tumblr media
I've never seen a combination fireplace/kitchen counter.
Tumblr media
The lower cabinets are nice.
Tumblr media
The backsplash is a herringbone pattern.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The primary bedroom has a fireplace wall. As if it doesn't have enough shine, they had to put mirrored doors on the closets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The en-suite bath has that nice shower door that looks like paned glass.
Tumblr media
What is this nonsense? No tiled walls? This is actually very nice. It can be repainted in a very attractive color scheme.
Tumblr media
Bath #2 has large pieces of tile joined by metal strips around the tub, plus a wood-tone ceiling. There are 4 different tiles in here.
Tumblr media
Bedroom #3 has the small tiles on the walls.
Tumblr media
Well, that's different - twin fireplaces.
Tumblr media
The finished basement is set up as someone's bedroom, office, and gym. I like the glass wall partition.
Tumblr media
There's also a shower down here.
Tumblr media
And, a sauna.
Tumblr media
There's an outdoor kitchen with storage.
Tumblr media
The kitchen is, of course, tile.
Tumblr media
The lot is .25 acre.

When i was a teen at the late 90s, I met a friend group of my same town for the first time. We all were kind of freaks. They invited me to take a snack at Carla`s home. I always wanted to se the interioris of her house. Was a large building of two floors that crossed the block, with two facades, one on each parallel street, one of them with a little front garden. The outside wall was maroon, and full of plants and flowers, with strange stone decorations. The other acces, was one of the older libraries of my homwtown. The type of store where you buy books, school and craft supplies, plushies.... Everytime I walk into the store, I imagine how it woul be that home. And when my new frind group invited me, wasn't dissapointing at all.
The floors had colorfull hydraulic tile mosaics, different in every room. The distribution was strange, seems like the people who lived there were more concerned about being happy than being normal. They had a precious kitchen, with pure wood cabinets, and a giant table in the middle. All the windows had color glass and curved wood frames. My country is famous for being full of modernist arquitecture from the beggining of the 19th century, and that home was an example of that influence. in ffront of the kitchen, there was a large hall that ended in a conservatory, with the garden in the background. That room was full of rugs and instruments. Any kind of instruments. Carla's dad was a musician, like herself and her brother, and their grandma was a piano player. Next to the conservatory, it was a little room, with two puffs, a tv, and the walls were fully covered with videotapes, almost all of them were 80's scifi films. Next to that room, were the stairs for to second floor. I don't remember how the bedrooms looked like, because I only entered into the bathroom. A giant bathroom. The floor, the walls, and the roof was covered in craked color tiles, making filigrees and figures. The sink and the bathub were cosntructed. and covered with the same motifs with craked tiles. The craked tile style is typical from here, and every town has a home like that, normally made by the same owners of the house. The bathroom also had big plants. It was like a movie set.
Visiting that home, made me decide I was going to live like them. At my own, with my own rules, with my own desires, with my own ideas. I was 14yo, and before walking into that house, my thughts about adulthood never suggered any type of love for nothing. I saw ''the growing thing'' as a dead of the soul and a productivity obsession. That home teached me I was worng. That home teached me you need to surround yourself with the correct souls.
That day I learned a little bit of how real magic works.

‘Ancient Roman’ Solar Roof Tiles Power Pompeii Villa
Ancient Roman ruins at Pompeii have been fitted with invisible solar panels, in a move that will contribute to the archaeological site’s sustainability efforts and cut costs. The innovative panels, which blend into the background by imitating traditional materials, were installed on the House of Cerere, on a thermopolium — a Roman snack bar — and on the House of the Vettii, which recently reopened following 20 years of restoration work.
“They look exactly like the terracotta tiles used by the Romans, but they produce the electricity that we need to light the frescoes,” said Gabriel Zuchtriegel, the director of the archaeological park of Pompeii, in a press release.
Each year, 3.5 million tourists explore the vast ruins of the ancient Roman city, which was buried by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD. But due to Pompeii’s size, energy bills are expensive and conventional methods of providing power across the site can threaten its appearance.
Tumblr media
“Pompeii is an ancient city which in some spots is fully preserved,” Zuchtriegel said. “Since we needed an extensive lighting system, we could either keep consuming energy, leaving poles and cables around and disfiguring the landscape, or choose to respect it and save millions of euros.” The new technology will help the archaeological site to cut energy bills and make it more enjoyable, he added.
The invisible solar panels — or “traditional PV tiles” as they are technically known — were created by the Italian company Dyaqua. They can be designed to appear like stone, wood, concrete or brick, and hidden on walls, floors and roofs, according to Elisabetta Quagliato, whose family owns Dyaqua, in the press statement.
“We are an archaeological site but we also want to be a real-life lab for sustainability and the valorization of intangible heritage,” Zuchtriegel said. “Our initiative is not merely symbolic. Through the million tourists who visit us every year, we want to send a message to the world: cultural heritage can be managed differently and in a more sustainable way.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Other locations in Italy using the invisible solar technology are the commune of Vicoforte in Italy and, soon, Rome’s contemporary art museum Maxxi. Public buildings in Evora, Portugal, and Split, Croatia will also install the panels, according to the press statement.
Pompeii’s recent use of these panels is just the beginning, Zuchtriegel said. “From now on, we will be taking this solution into account for all future renovation and restoration projects.”

this is the mysterious special white egg that didn't hatch on noelle's computer (no, not the pipis one).
the man behind the tree gives us eggs.
there's an egg in papyrus' date menu in undertale. he's also been shown behind trees in every latest ut merch design.
papyrus' check description in the undertale genocide route only reads "Forgettable"
Tumblr media
deltarune papyrus has been holed up in his house ever since he moved to hometown. sans seems worried about him being bonely. but if we were to, say, have a chapter take place at his house... with a dark world adventure where he gets to be a hero... and where we can befriend him and be nice to him... that might give him the confidence to stop isolating himself
and [leave home due to happiness]
quite literally

Alternatively, because I have a weird feeling that getting out could be a lil bit more difficult than getting in:
Join the military. They need secretaries or accountants or mechanics or nurses or electricians etc. too, I#m sure they'd have a free position somewhere xD
Despite writing for the war and violence fandom I abhor the military. I think it preys on the most vulnerable of us and abuses the people unlucky enough to have no other options.
I'm pullin' these men outta the service and into a more important career like carpentry, or electrical work.
