beautiful & also terrible to have the sort of brain where you find yrself at 4:30 AM looking up intersections between jewishness & arthuriana. like. fucking amazing rabbit hole but. why am i not asleep. my head hurts and my eyes are sandy.

however. some cool things (that probably some of you knew abt already, but i did not!):

King Artus – "a 'Hebrew Arthurian Romance of 1279… Judaized and transformed.' […] Although the story in 'King Artus' is fairly straightforwardly Arthur’s as we know it today, there are little touches that tie it to Jewish literature. When, for example, Arthur’s mother, the Duchess, learns that her husband is dead and she has been deceived by the shape-shifting Uther Pendragon, she tries to figure out how that could be possible. 'No sooner had he gone more than a bow-shot’s distance away from the castle than the messenger came straight to my chamber.' Bovo-Bukh – "a chivalric romance adapted in 1507 by Elye Bokher (Elijah Baḥur *Levita) into 650 ottava rima stanzas in Yiddish from a Tuscan version (Buovo d'Antona) of the early 14th-century Anglo-Norman original, Boeuve de Haumton. This tale of the heroic adventures of the noble Bovo, exiled from his homeland by the machinations of his murderous mother, his wanderings through the world (as far as Babylon), and the love story of Bovo and Druzyana, their separation, his triumphant return home, and the final reunion with Druzyana and their two sons, proved to be one of the most beloved tales in the Yiddish literary tradition over the course of more than two centuries."

Vidvilt – "anonymous 15th–16th-century Yiddish epic. This Arthurian romance of the chivalric adventures of Sir Vidvilt (and his father Gawain), based on Wirnt von Gravenberg's 13th-century Middle High German Wigalois, proved to be one of the most enduringly popular secular narratives in Yiddish literary history, with numerous manuscript recensions, printings (the first in an extensively expanded version by Joseph b. Alexander Witzenhausen, Amsterdam 1671), and reprintings, in rhymed couplets, ottava rima (Prague 1671–79), and prose, over the course of three and a half centuries. one of my favorite headcanons with little to no canon support is that xue yang and mo xuanyu were guidao jin disciples at the same time, and mxy mentioned a few times wanting to ressurect the yiling laozu to kill his mom's evil family, so when xy saw him (or rather his body) entering yi city AS the yllz, he was like "son of a bitch he actually did it"

If I had a nickel for every time there's a book co-authored by two authors about two rival agents working for opposing forces which are starting a war when they come to the realization that the organizations they belong to aren't worth fighting for by talking with each other and also finding out that they're in love I'd have two nickels. Had some writing beans for Buddie smut but I’m going to be mean and not tell you what fic it’s from 😜. Enjoy!

Eddie is so thoroughly distracted by the taste of Buck, by the way he is taking him apart with just his lips and tongue that he doesn’t notice Buck’s muscles tensing in preparation.

One minute they’re kissing, and then the next photo frames are rattling as Eddie is the one pinned to the wall, Buck’s body caging him in as his lips seek purchase against Eddie’s neck. Eddie lets out a moan as Buck kisses and nips and sucks his way up to Eddie’s mouth, capturing Eddie’s lips in a kiss that has him seeing stars.

And then all too soon Buck is pulling away and Eddie has a complaint on the tip of his tongue but clamps down and swallows it as Buck drops to his knees.

Fuck

Eddie always knew Buck would look absolutely fucking gorgeous on his knees.

A real life fantasy come to life.

Buck smiles up at him, the picture of innocence that Eddie definitely knows he’s not, and reaches his hands out towards the button of Eddie’s jeans. Eddie’s dick throbs in anticipation as Buck slides the zipper down, much too slow for Eddie’s liking. He clenches his jaw to avoid telling Buck to hurry the fuck up, not wanting to seem too eager to have Buck’s mouth on him.

Blue eyes look up at him from underneath dark lashes as Buck flashes him that signature cocky smirk that has driven Eddie crazy for years and it’s the only warning he gets before Buck’s mouth is on him, mouthing at his length through his underwear.

“Oh fuck.”

Eddie’s pretty sure he’s forgotten how to breathe.

Anime only watchers and people who aren't caught up with the Manga, BEWARE... Cuz I'm about to discuss Spy X Family Mission 94... You have been warned...! 👌

[SPOILERS AHEAD FROM THIS POINT ON]

This was an absolutely delightful little chapter!! AND I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT...!! 👌😆

Today's chapter did one of my most favorite genres in fiction in the MOST Spy × Family way possible...!! 👏😌 So let's talk about it, shall we? 👌😎

This chapter begins with Anya and Bond watching an episode of Bondman, where he is skiing away from the bad guys and Anya asks her papa Loid if they could swoosh too...!! 😆 Loid basically tells Anya no, but then she starts to get really upset, so...:

ANYA GOT WHAT SHE WANTED!! 👏😆 (Loid is such a softie for his girls...!🤭)

Then, the Forger family partake in some skiing shenanigans...!! 🤭

Poor Yor...!! 🤣 Plus, I also love seeing the WISE logo on Loid's sleeve and skis...!! 😖 It always makes me laugh whenever I find them on Twilight or on his stuff!!! 😆

After some more skiing (and even some sledding), a blizzard comes swooshing in...(Sidenote: Twilight and Yor look SUPER CUTE in the picture below!! 👇😆)

BUT NO ONE CAN LEAVE!! 😱

And when that happened, 2 thoughts went through my mind...: One, The Forgers were gonna run into the Desmonds at the ski lodge now that every member of the Desmonds have been introduced; or two, We were gonna partake in...

...A good old fashioned Murder Mystery...!!! 🕵

Now, I wasn't sure yet which of my thoughts were gonna come into fruition... But, the moment I saw all the people at the lodge and saw that there was an urban legend...:

...I KNEW that this was gonna be a Murder Mystery!! 👀 And I LOVE me a good MURDER MYSTERY...!!! 👏😆

But, you what I love more than a murder mystery...? 🤔

THESE TWO MOMENTS OF YOR FREAKING OUT FOR BEING IN THE SAME ROOM AS TWILIGHT!! 💗😍💗

My love for any TwiYor moments or crumbs will triumph over all!! 😤 (And plus, I'd probably freak out too if I had to share a room with Twilight...! 😅)

Moving on, as everyone gets comfortable, we get a glimpse at the killer and their first victim...:

Luckily, since Twilight is... Well, Twilight... He tends to the wounded man (who is still alive) and deduces that one of them must be the culprit (obviously)...!! Then, the people start to accuse Yor since she ran outside during the stabbing and THIS HAPPENED...:

KYAAAAAAAAAAA!! 😍

TWILIGHT PROTECTING YOR IS EVERYTHING TO ME!!! 💗😍💗

Though, we all know that Yor can protect herself, it always makes my melt when Twilight goes out of his way to defend his woman...!!! 💗🤗💗

Anyway, normally it would take a while before the culprit would be found out, but...:

...There is a child that can read minds and a dog that see into the future trapped in there with everyone as well, SOOO...:

AND THUS THE MYSTERY WAS SOLVED!! 👏🤣 AND ANYA HAD A BLAST...!! 😆

And that was Mission 94, AND OF COURSE I LOVED IT!! 😆 This was such a fun chapter and would have never thought that a murder mystery plot would ever happen in Spy × Family, but here we are...!! 😁

I swear, the moment I figured out that this was a murder mystery, I was like: "How the hell is this going work...?! 🤷" But, it did not disappoint!! 👏😄 This type of plot couldn't have gone in any other way in Spy × Family in my honest opinion, so I think that Endo did a great job with it!! 😁

Anyway, I had fun with this chapter and would've loved to talk about it a lot sooner... But hey, stuff happens...!! 🤷 So until the next Mission... Take care, be safe out there and be kind to one another...!! SEE YA!! 👋😄
