WELL I SEE IT'S TIME TO TALK TATTOOS AGAIN
Holy cats, hoes mad:
Tumblr media
I just adore Black&White KM, don't you? Honestly, never yells at me no matter how often I steal their pics, they give out freebies at concerts, they're respectful -- if you're gonna make a living off photographing famous people, do it like they do. Honestly. So they're in Qatar doing their whole job and hoes losing their shit all over the internet, apparently, all because a certain JM is darker. STILL.
This is not a brand new development.
Tumblr media
Y'ALL HE DID THIS MONTHS AGO WHY ARE WE JUST NOW FREAKING OUT ABOUT IT?
This is at LAST YEAR'S GRAMMYS Y'ALL:
Tumblr media
And completely unedited, unretouched, the JM was darker enough then that I did a whole post about it.
I MEAN DAMN have we not gone over this, like, several times? (In case you're new to this house elf situation we have here, yes. YES WE HAVE.) We have talked about Jungkook's tattoos at GREAT LENGTH. Well, I have, as far back as a while ago, most recently along about here but also here and here and here and several other places. There is zero tag organization in this house, I don't know what else to tell you.
Anywho Jungkook's tats do not, as nearly as I can tell, mean this:
Tumblr media
Because, like the nice graphic above says that I just edited, THIS IS FAN-MADE BULLSHIT. I dunno who made it but I suspect the addition of the J upset some folk enough to need to make JeiKei's motivation anything OTHER than Jimin. Because, as we know, he started out with his ink like this:
Tumblr media
Yes, that is a pic someone ripped off. I don't like using it. But it's what we have, and it's years later, and it's been out there for a long time, don't shoot. But I have expounded more than once on why it makes NO SENSE to GO BACK LATER to add one letter to a near-complete hand piece. It doesn't. And that A is not, never has been, a V. In Korea you can go literally anywhere and see Samsung logos, Shilla hotel logos, and of course Jimin's dad's cafe' all using that stylized A with no crossbar.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And I think it's pretty clear what JK thinks the JM means. It means Jimin. Ji Min. JM. DUH. And just like his "rather be dead than cool / make hay while the sun shines" crossword ON HIS ARM, he has a crossword on his hand. A very obvious crossword. Who he loves is written for all of us to see: ARMY, and JM. And lest I forget about that crown:
Tumblr media
It's THE SAME CROWN. Wanna go one better but likely utter fanfiction, you could even go heart-arrow-crown like so: 💜 > 👑... ... and make that story work. It actually makes more sense than one J for four people and four letters for three. But we're not here for that. Occam's Razor tells us that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, and the simplest explanation is the one that's got bitches tearing their hair out. Because THEY KNOW. They KNOW that JM means Jimin, and they HATE IT. (And so what, to quote JeiKei directly. We're gonna talk about fan hate today, too, just... not in this post).
MEANWHILE JUNGKOOK is always showing us his hand, too, have you noticed? Ever since he got the tattoos, but I think more in the last year. It's gotten really pronounced since the PTD dates.
Jeon Jungkook does what Jeon Jungkook wants, and what he wants is for us to pick up what he's been throwing down since, oh, FOREVER but even more recently. Like, it's NOTICEABLE, the way he gets that tattoo in frame at every opportunity. I'll run out of image space before he runs out of ways to show us his touched-up hand.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah. I think the fanmade bullshit has been exposed for what it is. Some of us have known it all along, but even if you're baby Army and you accidentally got stuck watching a lot of comic sans rainbow font youtube garbage (or got up on the wrong side of stan twt), there's no shame in that. I ain't even mad. I'm just happy you're here. Jeon-Park house elves, how we doin'?

Notes on the concert:
-it was the closest I’d ever been to the stage and I was in the nosebleeds! If anyone’s worried about it not being worth while because they won’t be close! Don’t worry
- so many freebies? Every other concert I’ve been too I never got any because I got there too late but people gave me some while I was in my seat and when I was walking out of the venue. I got the cutest stickers and photo cards 🥺
- yoongis energy is really unparalleled, I never would have thought before this that he was holding back when he was performing with Bts but…tbh he was unreal, different than I’ve ever seen him before- it felt so free and so freeing
- you could not contain me when he started performing the cypher medley/ ugh/ killer. There was something about him making us scream “I love, I love, I love myself” that healed a part of me.
- I cried during seesaw, snooze, and people 🥺 idk why I cried during half of them it just came out of me but still- only min yoongi could make me catharsises some of my shit. I don’t want to give up on me and he helps that not happen
- I was sat between two lovely armies who where from Mexico and Germany! We had a super sweet conversation 💜🥺 ALTHOUGH we talked about bl and one of them was like “oh I’m a screamer I hope you don’t mind” and NGL my lesbian panic laugh was so awkward. I’m glad it was dark and she couldn’t see my blush
-halfway through the show someone’s boyfriend Litterally threw their phone at me from like 10 rows behind me but tbh it was so fucking funny like same my dude, min yoongi also makes me forget how to use my hands
- if you’re coming today don’t worry about your army bomb not connecting! It was automatic and not associated with your seat number like most Bts concerts
-If you’re coming today please be mindful of the cold!!!! I was freezing and I was in a fluffy fur coat, I saw people shivering!!!

bro i miss yoongi so much ofc but walking around the city today just like to the pharmacy and shit i’m like. i really miss armys so much?? we don’t talk enough about how meeting armys at bangtan events is easily one of the best parts of being an army. like just so wholesome compliments flowing all around, complimenting each others’ outfits and accessories and makeup, handing each other freebies, seeing armys’ amazingly talented and creative art, becoming concert/event duration besties even without knowing each others’ names, seeing each other in restaurants in the area after the event and vibing together to the bangtan music the restaurant inevitably puts on to appease us lmao, even just smiling at each other as we walk by. just everything about it ofc there are exceptions bc some people are annoying lmao but as a whole i really feel like you could be an army without spending a single cent on bangtan and still have a fucking blast bc armys are so generous and wholesome and warm and generally just want every army around to have a good time. idk i’m getting emotional lmao armys i love you my concert duration besties whose names i will never find out and who i may never see again you have my heart may we all see our boys again and again and again 💗

hello cece my beautiful wonderful beloved soulmate <3
i hope you have been well and looking after yourself! i don’t want you overworking yourself 😭 but it has been two days since i have come back from my trip (i have been exhausted plus i had work and uni to catch up on) so now i am going to sit down and tell you about my trip!! please grab a cup of tea and a snack while you read :)
so i went to sydney again, and i had a much more enjoyable experience this time around. i think it was because i knew what i was getting into, and i stayed in the exact same place, so it was all familiar to me.
although i did try to use the public transport this time, instead of ubering everywhere, and the buses were so bad, but the trains were INCREDIBLE! they were double decker and the back support moved so you could have a single row or two rows of seats face each other??? SO COOL
anyways, me and my friend caught the train to the airport at 4am in the morning 😭😭😭 (and i finished work at 12am!!!!) to get our flight. once we landed in sydney, my friend wanted to get merch from the early presale stand outside the arena and we were outside in 30 degree heat FOR TWO HOURS, with our luggage. good news, my birthday is coming up and my friend didn’t know what to get me, so he bought half my merch 🤭 bad news, i’m ginger and i get sunburnt in two minutes, so think about two hours… the worst thing is we had an umbrella for sun protection, but my right arm and the back of my neck was out so they were FRIED. i’m currently peeling like a reptile but worth it
we got some food from maccas because we were dehydrated and getting heat stroke, and then checked into our room after we managed to get our stuff. we both ended up napping in the afternoon, which we were both surprised about, because i had my phone in my hand still attached to the charger next to my bed and he still had his genshin impact loaded up onto his ipad 😭😭😭
unfortunately the place i wanted to take him to for dinner, the really good japanese place from last time, was under renovation, so we had dinner elsewhere but we had such a good time the rest of our trip
because we went to see stray kids, a kpop group, we had a lot of activities we could indulge in. they had this thing called a cupsleeve event, where someone in the fandom designs a cupsleeve to represent a kpop idol’s birthday, group anniversary or in our case, coming to the city. and i got so many freebies! we went to this kpop store that doubled as a cafe and the drinks were so good! i bought way too much but i have to remind myself that i can’t get it at home 😔
we also went to the biggest bookstore i have ever seen in my life! it took up a whole floor of the shopping centre and it was brilliant. it had books upon books, categories after categories. they even had an entire chinese and japanese section! i also spent a lot of money there BUT my best find was the entire completed infernal devices manga trilogy!! it’s so beautiful and such a rare find, i grabbed it immediately. i couldn’t find the tmi graphic novels though, but they have them on their website, so i might order them in :)
alright, the main event! the concerts! so i went and saw the kpop group, stray kids, two nights in a row! it was amazing. i was and still am a huge fan of their work, but especially because they got me through a really hard time in my life and really were my serotonin while i was at school 😔 i wasn’t allowed to see them when they first came here four years ago (parents: maybe next year, they’ll come! *next year being 2020.*) so i feel like i finally made up for it.
me and my friend also matches outfits! we did black and green (the concert colours) on the first night, and red and white on the second (to match the stray kids colours). i wish i could send you photos, we looked so slay 🤩
i do not have one concert video without me screaming the lyrics (yeah the korean ones too!) in the back. but i don’t care, it was so fun, i had a blast. and it was even better because two of the members of stray kids were from sydney and they just made it feel more homely :) do not regret how much money i spent on them or the sleep i lost at all! i’m so glad i can slowly start to give myself the experiences i missed out on as a kid/teenager :’)
anyways, enough about me! how have you been? what have you been up to? how is simba? 🥺 i adore you so much and i am enclosing this letter with a warm hug <3333
hello nero my amazing perfect beloved soulmate <3
yay i’m so happy to finally hear about this trip!!! i just made myself a cup of tea and brought out some biscoff cream!!
how was the catching up part?? did you manage to catch up without exhausting yourself too much??
nero that’s so great!! i think that having a familiar surrounding is always helpful, and staying in the same place makes it all less scary somehow. i’m really happy it went much better!!
NO WAY THEY HAVE THOSE TRAINS THERE??? they look so cool!!! i’ve seen them on instagram once and i was so jealous of every city who had those trains!! you can literally choose if you want to sit alone or have company and that’s so cool!!! it’s basically a buildable environment!!! i’m getting way too excited about this lol
so you only had like three hours of sleep?? 😭😭😭😭 and you even had to stand in the heat for hours 😭😭😭 but yay!!! merch!!! that’s a really great birthday gift!!! (also when is your birthday??? only if you want to share of course <3)
anyway merch is so amazing and so expensive. this has got to be one of the best presents ever!!! even if it means you’re skinning like a reptile now lol at least it’s just two small spots instead of your whole self 😂 but i get the struggle. i’m not ginger but my skin is so light i always get sunburnt in 0.5 seconds too. definitely not fun, but worth it for some merch :D
that was probably a really fun situation to wake up to, but you both deserved a nap for catching a bus at 4am!!! especially since you had only a few hours of sleep after work!! at least you were rested enough to really enjoy the trip!!
oh no 😭😭 i’m still dreaming about that place!! i went to a my favorite japanese restaurant in my city a few days ago and i really wanted to try that beverage you told me about but i was driving so i couldn’t 😭 i hope this other restaurant was really good too though!!
no way!!! nero this is all way too cool!!! i’m so happy it was so fun and there were so many things to do!!! also this cupsleeves event sounds so cool!! i’m so happy nero, you’re making my day just by telling me about all these freebies and amazing drinks!! and you know i’m always gonna be the little devil on your shoulder telling you that spending money is good and you deserve all that amazing stuff :))
the tid manga trilogy??? how is that even possible omg you can’t find that anywhere!!!! i’m so jealous, i wanna live in this bookstore now 🥺 it’s got to be so amazing!! (you always find the best bookstores, i had no doubt there would be one in this letter too and i was so excited to read about it!!) and let me know if you do order the tmi graphic novels!! i’ve been trying to collect those too hehe
the fact that *next year* was 2020 is so painful. but you saw them two nights in a row!!! that’s amazing!! and it must have been so good to see them after so long, after they’d been by your side in a really tough time 🥹 i’m so happy you got to finally see them live!!
also, the matching outfits?? I LOVE THAT!!! i bet you looked so slay!!! that’s literally the best idea for what to wear to a concert!!!
nero i’m so so happy for you!!! you’ve made my whole day, i’m not even joking!! i’m so happy you’re finally getting to enjoy trips and concerts you couldn’t before!! and this one really sounded so perfect!!! also the videos with you screaming at the top of your lungs to every song are literally the best. i love it when i rewatch a video from a concert and i can hear myself screaming and crying and dying more than i can hear the band or the singer. it just makes me live all those memories and those amazing feelings again!!!
the money spent on this is totally worth it!!! and you can sleep now, uni can wait lol really nero i’m so happy this trip was so good!!! i’m so happy for you!!!
i’m good!! i got three days off from work this week so that was great, and i started to reread chain of iron so that i can reread chain of thorns right after :) i miss them so much already 🥲
anyway i just booked a trip for may, because a friend is coming to visit me and i’m gonna be off work for two weeks so i’m really looking forward to it and now i just wanna skip work and plan the itinerary 😂 and i want to book more trips too. which isn’t great because my bank account is already crying and begging me to stop buying stuff. did i tell you i got the illumicrate edition of chain of thorns with the alternative dust jackets? yeah so my bank account still hasn’t forgiven me for it :,)
simba is also doing really good, he’s eating a lot and sleeping a lot as usual 😌
also, ever since you told me about the rina sawayama concert, and because you always talked so much about her, i kinda started listening to her music a lot more and i’m obsessed with some songs now!!! i adore her style so thank you for this new obsession :>
i’m enclosing a warm hug for you too and a little bouquet of flowers <3

K-pop concerts are undoubtedly better than any other concert. As someone who has attended plenty of concerts, including over a dozen K-pop concerts in Los Angeles, I have the proper credentials to make such a bold statement. Any K-pop fan could tell you that attending a K-pop concert is a life experience like no other. With addictive melodies, electric fan energy, and high-quality production, it is no wonder why K-pop groups have stolen the hearts of many (including myself).
K-pop takes concert culture to another level. From the moment you arrive at the venue, you can feel the immense excitement from the fans. When attending a K-pop concert, fans express their dedication and love for the group by dressing up in style. Don't be surprised to see fans in costumes and outfits that correlate with the group's latest music video or concept. This is part of the fun! I recently attended Enhypen's Fate Tour in Los Angeles and saw a group of girls dressed up in corn suits because one of the member's favorite foods is corn. I hope they ended up catching his attention.
Instead of arriving at the venue later in the evening when the concert starts, K-pop concerts can become an entire day affair filled with K-pop fun. Fans arrive early to line up for merchandise, take photos of their elaborate outfits, exchange gifts, and participate in interactive activities. Fans often connect through social media apps to share meet-up spots for certain activities and connect prior to the concert. It is common for people to create "freebies" to pass out. These can include friendship bracelets, photos of the artists, and candy. It almost feels like everyone is already friends. I have attended many concerts alone and made a handful of friends by the night's end (Some I still talk to regularly). K-pop concerts create a safe and inclusive atmosphere for everyone. Since everyone is here for the same artist, we are all connected by our shared love of music, which I think is so special.
Of course, K-pop concerts are particularly special because of the overall concert energy and fantastic production value. First of all, K-pop concerts rarely have an opening act. Shows start promptly, and all the attention is on the K-pop group. When you enter the concert venue, you will see fans with hand-held light sticks unique to each K-pop group. These light sticks light up during the concert, creating an ocean of beautiful colors. When the show starts, it is more than just listening to the music. K-pop performances include elaborate choreography, eye-catching visuals, and even creative storylines. K-pop groups practice intensely to display flawless performances for their fans.
Another thing that stands out from regular concerts is the interaction between idols and fans. K-pop prioritizes fan engagement. Not only do fans love the music, but we love the idols as people. This is because they connect with their fans on a personal level. Between performances, artists will stop and talk to fans, show off their charms, and play interactive games. I recommend learning the group's key dance moves because you might be on the spot on the big screen. Fans will also memorize fan chants to scream during specific songs to show their love and dedication to their idols. When everyone is shouting the exact words in unison, it creates an environment of unity between fans and the artists, adding to the unforgettable experience of a K-pop concert.
K-pop raises the standards for concerts. I truly encourage everyone to experience a K-pop concert. You will witness outstanding performances and leave with a handful of friends, goodie bags, and unforgettable memories.

As someone who has been going to kpop concerts since I was 11 (I’m 25 now) I got you.
• Merch lines are always a thing, if you want to get anything it’s best to get it before going to your seat. Some venues have their merch outside of the building but it depends where the venue is. (E.g a smaller venue has theirs inside whereas a larger venue typically is either outside or right in front of you after security check.)
• Merch costs also depend on the company the artist is from (some are cheaper) but usually they’re around $40–$60 as a rough estimate.
• a lot of people like to go earlier mainly if they have pit, but others even with assigned seating go early mainly because some fandoms like to do trading events (or give freebies) or just to hang out with people, meet new friends, etc.
• I usually get in line at least 1-2 hours before especially because it takes a while for everyone to go through bag checks and security and the concert will start even if you’re still outside in line.
• Also always bring a sweater cause it’ll get cold at one point, bring water for waiting in line, and make sure you check the venue website for their bag policy ( some places allow bigger bags but some only allow small purses.) also avoid bringing anything unnecessary because it might fall under the list of banned items and security usually throws it out.
– 🥨
omg thank you so much😭😭😭😭
I am taking my youngest sister with me because she is also a huge yoongi fan and we were planning on trying to be at the arena in the morning because I heard that kpop concerts are like an all day event (plus I am gonna be handing out freebies) and because I heard that merch lines usually begin to get long hours before they even open for sale.
Oakland arena doesn’t have like a clear bag policy (from what I saw on their website) as long as it’s smaller than 14 x 14 x 16 but I’m gonna bring a clear one anyways!
Do you know if you can bring food to eat while you wait? Like not into the arena but outside of it? I’m not trying to pay for food there😅
But also, are we bringing our lightsticks? I saw that batteries aren’t allowed so how does that work?

What you said about festivals is so true. They are super risky and super expensive. I looked into attending Hallyu in London when Chen was announced to be there but the 'cheap' seats were also 180 pounds with decent view ones even more expensive and alongside a flight to London and finding accomedations there it was just entirely too much money to just see this one guy for less than half an hour. Like I can somehow justify that for a full concert maybe (even though every non kpop concert I have ever been to was a lot cheaper than that!) but for a festival where he could drop out and then I would be stuck with all that money wasted and most likely no way to resell a ticket again. Nah I hate it I really do. Especially coming out of a pandemic where we still have idols catching covid and then having to cancel appearances can you imagine taking the whole risk of a festival only for your fave not to show up at all when it was already ridiculously overpriced for the amount of stage time they would be having? And you not being elligble for a refund when the festival still happens just without the reason why you wanted to go. Absolutely awful. Give us tours. If a tour gets postponed or cancelled cause the touring artist can't come i get my money back so I mind that way less. And if you have to give us tiny venues fine but then give us more than Paris London. Like Portugal or Poland exist too. We can't cram all of continental europe into one Paris venue if the Paris venue has a 6k capacity limit. The less stops you give the bigger the venues you should offer to accomedate for all the fans arriving from other countries who cannot afford to fly to Asia or America but will jump at the chance of seeing their faves somewhere that is more reachable and affordable for them to go to. I remember attending Music Bank in Berlin and it was packed with people even coming from the northern parts of Africa because EXO showing up in Berlin was the closest they had ever been to them at that point in time.
Sorry this got away from me a little I hope it is still understandable tho
yeah, that’s pretty much it! like, i went to mik festival last year for junmyeon and pentagon, and i would have probably gone for either of those artists alone but was lucky enough that my two ults were part of the line up. the thing is, thought, billie was part of that line up as well and they had to cancel their appearance like A DAY PRIOR or something. it was so ridiculously short notice and i met people in the queue who were there to hand out billie freebies because they only came to see them. like, it’s just so crazy risky and it’s honestly the worst.
and like stated before, the matter of the fact is that kfans have WAY more leverage than european fans because what do they care if we don’t show up to one (1) festival? that will just show them that there is no demand and we won’t get anything anymore. while i do agree that we should be more organized, i think it would simply help more to directly message companies or in some other way to signal that european stans, for example, are very much interested in tours and more dates. because withholding our money is one thing, but that on the other hand shows that there is ZERO interest and that will just backfire.
it’s tricky. because on one hand, we don’t get much of anything so of course we jump at the chance to go and see an artist, but on the other hand we want more than that and we don’t have as much leverage as kfans. and, additionally, the european market is simply not a focus point right now, not for most companies anyways.

220624 AB6IX in Chicago
Because I don’t think I’m going to journal about this one. Unnecessarily detailed as always
Finally, after forever I get to go to a seated concert. I got there a little before 5 because I wanted to hand out stuff. But they let us in like right before 5 so I never actually got to, whoops. But a lot of people had freebies! I ended up with so much stuff lol. I liked the venue. Free parking!!!
For soundcheck, they did Cherry and Red Up. Woong and Donghyun kept peeking out before it started. Suddenly someone screamed and we were all like ??? Woojin had a hawaiian shirt on lol. This is the first time phones were allowed during soundcheck so I took the opportunity to take pics then. Actually I filmed way more than I usually do. I guess because I was less concerned with ~seeing them with my own eyes~ like I usually am with my faves
The venue was only about half full. I know it must suck as an artist to see that but as someone who gets overwhelmed easily I appreciated how it didn’t feel crowded.
Their outfits were really pretty! There were actually more performances than I was expecting for a “fanmeeting.” I’ve realized the value in knowing the songs beforehand... I haven’t really listened to many of their releases in the past 1-2 years. But they did do two of my favorite songs, Blind for Love and Surreal. They also had a post-it note question session. Two girls were trying to get them to pick theirs so they screamed “we wrote in glitter pen!!” and Daehwi was like “I need to repent?” lmaooo but tbh that’s what I heard too. Oh but the first one they picked was Tina who I know has done events and stuff for them, it’s nice to see a dedicated fan get this chance! One of the questions was what’s your favorite dinosaur and Daehwi said he didn’t have one, I don’t remember the other answers. Whatever questions they picked, they invited those fans on stage and let them ask questions and stuff. There were 2 kfans picked and they kept their faces covered the whole time lol. One of them asked Woong to shake hands.
In the second half they also called up 4 fans from their tweets to the stage. They let 2 people ask questions. The first one asked about places to go to in Korea. The second asked if cereal is a soup. There were some divided opinions. BUT the funniest thing is that (all 4 took polaroids with AB6IX) when it was that girl’s turn, Woong said cereal is a snack (not soup) and then called cereal girl loooool.
They actually talked to the audience a lot. They took the time to read signs and there was someone dressed up as Ash. Oh there was also someone wearing Daehwi’s outfit from Rose Scent Kiss and he asked, “Where did you get that from?” and she said she made it. I think during the ending ment Woojin asked if we were ready and he was like “really?”
I came in holding an Woojin slogan but I’m a Donghyun fan now. He was the most engaged out of all them. The other 3 were definitely less so... I know someone (Daehwi?) mentioned the day before on pm that they were getting tired. I think that’s why Donghyun stood out so much while performing (in a good way), he was enjoying himself at least. Was kind of surprised with Woojin, he looked like he was just going through the motions. I didn’t see Woong that much but when I did he was cute. I felt like Daehwi was trying to be sexy a lot lmao. But I think he sang live the entire night!!
Another thing I want to mention is the lack of “kpop opportunists” (as I heard for the first time today lol). The people at the front knew all the fanchants and everything, and phones were up but not obnoxious (at least from my pov, in the back. It was the first time in a long time I didn’t have to crane my neck to avoid phones in my view!) I obviously can't say for sure everyone at the front was actually an abnew but the vibes were definitely more genuine than they have been. I'm really happy for those fans! I hope they had a good time.
Hi-Touch went super fast. Even faster than my Wanna One hi-touch. I think the order was Daehwi, Woong, Donghyun, Woojin? I wanted to tell Donghyun I’m his fan now but he definitely did not hear lol. I put my phone in my pocket to see if it would pick up anything and you can only hear them, you can’t hear me at all. So they for sure did not hear anything lol.
Overall I’m glad I went! I was able to get a VIP ticket for $100 (less than fv) so I think it was worth it. I bought my ticket a week before the show just in case something came up.

Someone talked about the cock and balls fansite a few months ago, but I can't find anything, I guess it was for fun or something??? 😭 oh yeah China ones are riiiiich and definitely work with the companies
They did what? Took their undies? Noooooo. Yeah it's fucked up. Exactly, they said "we can't be racist because we like kpop" sit your ass down you racist clown
I think both of our friends are on a different planet now dudhsjdhdisndhsjdh
Bestie I just want any ticket at this point. I'll definitely not go for the most expensive one, because I'm saving money ☠
Sadly nothing is predictable and I know how it feels to have your concert cancelled last minute so. </3 at this point kpop stans are so starved for concerts they don't know how to behave, it's disgusting. Ehhh apparently there were many wild and shitty Atinys there...
I think a lot of people are still confused about his release date, and nothing is 100% confirmed, but I know that account! If he's not back soon then a lot of people will be shocked and disappointed
I love this lil comedy, Hwa would be so stressed but Y/N would be just confused and if he starts avoiding her too, lmao. Then it finally clicks and Y/N's brain goes blank because THAT NICE QUIET GUY IS DOING SLUTTY THINGS AT NIGHT?!
A paper ripped by him - spoken like a true Shinestar
I hope more people start talking about Seonghwa's abilities, not just his looks (I know he likes getting called pretty or handsome) and being a mum/nerd/boomer, because he deserves it 100%! I'm also proud of him for singing live a lot, to think he barely had lines on the first album and couldn't even sing them properly at first... now he has so many lines 😭🤧💗
Oh my friend officially said "I'm a baby Shitstar" we got her!!!
JUST SAW THE SG?!??! Choose your partner...A whole ass AU, they want people to be delulu so bad. Seonghwa THE CATCH? He's gonna catch these hands for sure, tf why is he a fuckboy.... KQ you can't be doing this to me. The range
Or imagine Ateez in Hell's Kitchen lol
My thoughts on lovers to enemies to... lovers I hope? Or how about friends to lovers to enemies to friends to lovers 😉
Lmao that Matz thing, so true. What about Hwa from nerd to a fuck boy huh
THE JP CB VIBE IS ELEGANT WHORE!

Oooooo okay, as for websites it depends where you're located, it would be good to order locally if possible. I don't recommend KQ shop though. Your friend needs A LOT of bubble wrap and waterproof seal mailing bags, unless someone orders more copies then a little box will do. As for cards or freebies, it's up to them, but it's a nice gesture. They can print out their "business" cards with a little thank you card. Are they doing members cards sorting?

Let's Talk Expectations
It's the night before the concert in Busan still, at least here in Florida. So, I know the nerves and emotions must be running high amongst the members as they gear up for the evening ahead. I, however, only have the stress of making sure I wake up to my 4:45 AM alarm. Which is a valid concern since I indeed did not do that this morning and was late to work. Oops.
When I read Namjoon's Weverse post earlier today, I've been mulling the thought of expectations ever since. I'm using translations so forgive me if you've seen it written in other terms. After acknowledging the ups and downs that came with planning this concert, he expresses that parts of it may still be lacking but it's a BTS concert so they will set out to put out their best.
Lacking.
I'm very fortunate to have seen BTS live, and it is a memory I replay in my mind and heart constantly. PTD LA was during the busy season at work and I had one day off. I got off my overnight shift, flew out to LA, went to the concert, and slept at LAX to be on the first flight out to be at work the next day. And I would do it all again.
Tumblr media
But when I got on the plane I wasn't thinking about fireworks in the finale. If I got to the stadium and all of a sudden, my ARMY bomb wasn't working, I wasn't going to turn around. I was, however, selfishly hoping that Yoongi didn't hastily dye his hair. He didn't.
All I COULD think of was wow, I'm going to see BTS live. In person. They will exist beyond my screen. These 7 men who have helped me through so much and got me to a point in my life that felt so surreal, it was like I needed to see them before my very eyes to convince myself it wasn't all some sort of marvelous dream. Often separated by distance and time zones, we were going to be in the same place, at the same time.
And with so. many. ARMY. That alone is an experience in itself. To be amongst so many people who understand and are there for the same reasons you are. The generosity of those handing out freebies, the kindness in those complimenting other's outfits, and the magical camaraderie in banding together to show BTS how much we love and appreciate them.
All I could ever want is for them to be on stage happy, healthy, and loving what they do. And it's not only all I could ever want, but also all I expect as well.
I can't speak for the pressures they must feel as the givers. I'm sure it is more than I could ever think of. But I can speak on the expectations I have as the receiver, which on the opposite end is I'm sure not as many as they would think.
Tumblr media
I've been to concerts with all the bells and whistles. I've been to concerts so intimate that the band would get off stage after the show and mingle with the crowd for photos and autographs. As I said earlier, I've been to a BTS concert.
And I never walked into a venue expecting anything other than singing along with my favorite artists. To sing words that have helped me through so much, back to them. To see a smile. Hear a thank you. Some merch perhaps.
It makes me wonder, what do you honestly expect out of a BTS concert? At this rate I would at least hope for decent screens for those of us that get seats farther away but that's about it for me. I consider everything a bonus.
I know they must feel a certain pressure to uphold what they have put out in the past, I get it. But it pains me in a way to see them feel the need to apologize for things maybe being different. This isn't a standard BTS concert, but it will still be more than what is the standard for others. Because like he said, they're BTS!
It has me thinking ahead for the future too. I know their challenges for this concert were largely out of their control. But I know they've expressed feelings of how shows will evolve in the future for them. Bands age. We all do. When I saw Paul McCartney at Citi Field, he was much older than the young Beatle on my t-shirt. I see Hanson at EPCOT every year (psst! They're back this year!) and as is normal, Zac has grown up! They all have. But both venues, different in size and audience, were full. And I left the venues with expectations met and even exceeded.
So long as BTS is out here putting on a show, I will be there. And I will never expect anything beyond singing my favorite songs along with them live. They could sit on stools and not change their outfits the entire concert. I don't care. If they're happy, all I can do is be happy for them.
What are your thoughts? And, if you are going to the show, let me know how it was for you being there in person! I'll be watching enviously from my screen!

(G)I-DLE CONCERT STUFFS!!!
So yesterday I just saw my favorite kpop group. Arguably the only group that matters. (G)-fkn-IDLE! Like the Twice concert, I’m gonna write some anecdotes! I have a lot more to say this time around.
While waiting in line somebody gave me a freebie, which were two custom-made photocards for the concert. One was a group shot, and the other was of Minnie! Shout out to Kashuee on Twitter you’re a real one.
The soundcheck was so casual, you could tell they didn’t rehearse it compared to the main show. They just came out and said “hi we’re gonna practice now what songs do you want lol”. We got Blow Your Mind, Luv U, and My Bag. It went by so fast, and Minnie told us to save our voices for the main show.
There were no translators at all. Each member spoke in English which was pretty neat!
Now onto the main show. When they were introducing themselves, it sounded like they were reading off KProfiles lmao. Except for Yuqi. As expected of the bluff queen, she was hyping herself up.
A lot of the songs were reworked for the concert. Most notably Dumdi, Lion, and Never Stop Me. Lion was even more theatrical than before and Never Stop Me turned into such a hype song with the extended chorus! Might’ve been my favorite performance thanks to its energy!
During the second interlude, they noted the most iconic part of Senorita was the “hey señor” lyric + pose. I think it made everyone a little sad considering who originally sang that line...luckily the girls decided to do their own versions! Miyeon did a goofy one, Yuqi cool, Soyeon sexy, and Shuhua tried to do the original godbless. Minnie did a cartwheel for no reason.
At one point Yuqi got to sing Lost, with Soyeon following up with the fucking. Shake Shack Song
The girls did not fight each other for the dance battle interlude. They decided to challenge us nevies.
When they put on a song for us, we ended up looking like this American Dad scene in real life which made me laugh. The girls themselves even made fun of the move lol.
They retaliated by dancing to Toxic Britney Spears thank god. Was afraid they would put on idk Justin Bieber or something.
To determine who won the dance battle, Yuqi played rock paper scissors with a fan and she lost lmao. So basically, we kicked their asses.
I must note that Shuhua also did a cartwheel here for no reason.
During another interlude, the girls wanted the audience to look around and make friends with each other. Which singlehandedly gave me school flashbacks. But they provided some examples on how we could act, like Yuqi and Shuhua fangirling obnoxiously. Likewise Minnie asked Miyeon if she was a nevie and if she was single LMAO
When we got the last chorus of My Bag, Soyeon pointed her mic to the crowd and let us sing while she stood completely still. It was so badass.
They made us shout the fuck in Tomboy right before they played it. This wouldn’t have happened at any other kpop concert fr.
While waiting for the hi-touch I think I saw this reaction youtuber I used to watch thanks to Idlecord posting his videos. So that was surreal.
NOW ONTO THE HI-TOUCH. The venue staff were rushing us and Soyeon was first in line, which completely fucked me up. I remember saying hi but I don’t remember her reaction. I think I glanced back at her so I only got to look at Shuhua for a second. Then Miyeon smiled warmly at me, and for some reason I don’t remember Minnie at all? I feel bad about that. My strongest memory is Yuqi, who looked me in the eyes and told me “thank you”. For what, slapping your hand? I kid, but that moment makes me happy. :D
Now there were a couple negatives as well...
Waiting several hours in the opressive summer heat to get in the venue. I thought I would get sore feet and a migraine but I didn’t surprisingly? I mean I woke up today with a headache at 5 am but it’s already gone. Retail must’ve prepared me for this moment.
During the soundcheck, someone behind me yelled “I MISS SOOJIN” during a quieter moment. I thought fans agreed not to bring her up explicitly? Cause that makes things awkward for the girls. Show OT6 support through like, merch or something. I did that with my OT6 shirt.
The venue itself. The first floor was packed like sardines and I had to stay on my tiptoes a majority of the time. To make matters worse, when any popular song came on literally EVERYONE was recording, and I couldn’t see shit and had to look their phones...fans did this with the first 3 songs and ngl it soured my mood then. It got better with bsides but eh.
Also the crowd was almost completely still. I guess I can understand because it was so hot and people were waiting for hours, but it felt dead at times. I felt out of place with me bopping my head n stuff lol.
My flash went off two times, once randomly that I fixed quickly but the other time was when I was recording Uh Oh, and I didn’t see it until halfway through the song. The only people who would’ve noticed that are the people directly in front of me...and the girls on stage. Not a big deal I think but I’m cringing now that I realize this.
I read that compared to other kpop concerts, (G)I-DLE’s hi-touch was pretty much a speedrun. Now I’m sad I didn’t get any more geuinine interactions :c
TL;DR this was the most fun I had in a looong time. Thank you Yuqi.

Haha so we were actually getting a kpop concert in my city. Billlie and Xdinary Heroes were day one, and VIVIZ and Oneus were day 2. My sister and I were SO STOKED for day 2 as Oneus is one of our favourite groups. We'd been making freebies even to hand out at the concert. But jokes on us and I never get anything nice so the concert was cancelled. I had one truly good thing to look forward to and June just always has to turn out to be the worst possible month for me always.

PH celebration of Kid Krow's 3rd Anniversary
BY: Regine Dayao
Anybody would go overdrive on the 3rd anniversary of Conan Gray’s best selling album, Kid Krow.
In celebration, fans of Gray in the Philippines arranged a cupsleeve event which took place exactly a month after his concert in the country.
Dubbed as Coneheads, March 18 was the targeted day of a group of friends which held the event at the Black Scoop Cafe in the Mall of Asia Arena.

20 attendees mingled to the tune of Gray’s music along with the handing out of freebies such as a cupsleeve, photo cards, a photo strip, and a hand banner.

With ages ranging from 11 to 25 years old, each Conehead was given a drink stub to claim a drink of their choice from the said cafe.
A raffle was also held for a chance to win merchandise, like notepads, tote bags, and necklaces.
Paula Dela Cruz, one of the organizers of the event said, “It was a delight being around people who have the same interest as you. We shared our own stories about our experiences during the concert while listening and singing along to his songs over a cup of drinks.”

Most of the attendees were also able to attend Gray’s concert the month before and they said it was an amazing experience overall.
Even two out of the seven winners of the previous UMUSIC PH’s–Conan Gray Party Bus who were lucky to meet the singer were present.
For Dela Cruz, they are not aware of any official Conan Gray fan event in the Philippines, if anything, this may be the first one to take place in the country.
When asked if there is a possibility for a next fan event, they’ve already planned for the 1st year Anniversary of Gray’s latest album, Superache to be held on June 24.
The location is to be announced but raffle prizes and more giveaways are to be expected.

Just A Few More Notes on MXTX EN Official Translations
SO...
1. Yes, MXTX IS getting money from this set of publications! However, as reminded from a friend in the industry, Seven Seas’ FAQ says rights holders and not MXTX herself, and it’s likely the contract was made with JJWXC so... we can only trust their word that money DOES go back to MXTX. Not casting any doubt, it’s just what it is based on what we can see on the FAQ page
2. ALL translators across all three books are fan translators that have been hired to do the job properly. This does include Suika and Pengie for TGCF and others for MDZS and SVSSS - So for all of you who shitted on fan translators, fan translators are making it happen for yall right now
3. ALL of them will be uncensored
4. Yes, there’ll be hard and soft copies! I KNOW that the EN copies are definitely way more expensive than those who can read Chinese and buy Chinese original versions are used to but there’ll be soft copies which should be cheaper - And hey if you want freebies and all that stuff, you can still buy the cheaper Chinese copies hahahaha
5. Any fan translations of these three books are NOW illegal basically, for real, since there are official ones coming up - I do feel sorry for proper actual respectful fan translators who were taking on MDZS and SVSSS who were doing re-translations and now have to stop etc.
6. SevenSeas will decide whether or not to do further translations of other popular danmeis based on this pre-order so do support if you can
7. Suika found SevenSeas to publish at least TGCF from what I can see from her tweets, so she made it work. With plenty of help of course, but she really, really made it work, even while people were hating on her during the entire translations and buying drama. Now you really can support so no more excuses!
8. What I said about there being no impetus for EN translations: This wouldn’t have been possible if Suika and other translators didn’t push hard for this, and if SevenSeas wasn’t willing to listen to the fan translators, and also give MXTX a proper cut of the profits. What I’m saying is that EN-speaking fandom now, in an economic sense, SHOULD be profitable for authors to want to have their books licensed in EN, and have proper and great translators we’ve seen doing proper work. I’m happy to be wrong definitely, if more EN official translations pop up from SevenSeas, but like I said, this was a concerted effort based on mutual respect on all parties, and we don’t get that very often, so now’s the time to support.
9. And am I ever so glad to say that once again MTL etc. really cannot compare to actual, proper translations, and I’m so happy for Suika and the other translators that they’re now ACTUAL translators and wannabe “I learnt Chinese for 6 months or 1 year and now will translate this terribly difficult novel because I am Smart” and everyone who’s given them trouble can now really shut up, because Suika really made it happen (along with many others yes!). She be all action and talk, I love that
10. Will there still be problems? YES, I think there will be. Despite everything going on official right now, we can all probably agree that troublemakers in the EN-speaking or international fandoms still exist. There’ll always be issues. Especially with new people joining in on the fun now that these super viral and hot titles are available in English, yes we can expect a lot more stupid questions and stupid people coming up. I don’t deny that overall it’s a huge thing, but as always, fandom is fandom, and with new entrants coming in? We definitely have a hell of a ride on our hands
11. Should you take the EN translations as honest gospel and it being THE one translation? I mean not in the sense of publishing or creating fan translations but if any people who speak CN and EN have different takes on translations in terms of expression I’d say those are equally valid and correct. I expect people might go “oh but the official translation version” blah blah but... language is nuanced. Although these translators for the books are the best there are out there, language can still be interpreted or expressed differently in translations! So yep, don’t go accusing smaller translators or content creators for “wrong translations” especially when they speak and lived Chinese all their lives thanks
12. The purest form of the content is still the Chinese version - I’m not being a wet blanket here, but the most, most original form of it is definitely the Chinese version, and things ARE still lost in translation regardless, so personally I of course still prefer the CN versions for all
13. Will novels like 2ha and SPL get official translations? I’d say it might be a bit hard for 2ha because there’re already so many haters in the EN-only speaking fandom for all the “immoral” stuff so yeah. SPL maybe? I honestly think Priest is not that interested in having EN translations for her books tbh unless the money is really boomz, so that one is up there for anyone’s guess as well.
14. In the meantime, Via Lactea does have licensed books for smaller danmei prints so do support them as well!!!

They could see the mass of people from blocks away. Thousands of brightly dressed people, with all sorts of signs and accessories to help them stand out in the crowd. Music blared louder than any concert Mally had ever been to.
Gina had swapped her all-black look for black jean shorts and purple converse to go with a t-shirt she’d tie-dyed and cropped. Leo had been slathering on sunscreen, but was growing increasingly more distracted as they drew nearer to the crowd. Andre’s fanny pack was covered in buttons and pins that the group had applied the night before in preparation for the event.
“Woah, Mally, this is insane,” Leo said. “There’s so much going on!”
“I know, right?” she said gleefully. “Come on, we can’t be late to watch the parade!”
She led the group of friends through the crowded streets of the festival, weaving past vendors and corporate booths. The crowds were thick, but she expertly dodged people, making sure to hold onto Andre's hand so the chain wouldn’t be broken. Finally, they arrived at the curb where they would have an unobscured vantage point.
“They’re starting!” she pointed. “Look!”
There it was, in all its glory. The Philadelphia Pride Parade was just beginning, and they’d arrived just in time.
“I can’t believe we’re actually here!” Gina said, bouncing on the balls of her feet. “I never thought I’d be able to go!”
“I know, right? My parents are so chill. I never thought they’d go for this idea.”
“Where are they today?”
“Uh, they took my sister to a museum, I think. But come on, let’s watch the parade!”
The four kids watched gleefully as the parade went by, waving at performers and screaming along to the music. They collected beads as they were thrown into the crowds, collecting several dozen and putting them all around Andre’s neck.
Partway through the spectacle, Mally turned to Gina and said, “Hold this.” She thrust the little flag she’d been holding at her friend and pulled her backpack off. She unzipped it, reached inside, and pulled out a bisexual flag. “This is for you, I totally forgot about it this morning.”
“Oh my God, Mally, thank you so much!” Gina exclaimed, hugging her friend. “I love it, thank you!” Her excitement was infectious as she unfolded it and wrapped it around her shoulders as a cape.
Mally whipped out a lesbian flag and followed suit while Gina showed her new accessoriy off to the boys. Leo grabbed a little container of bubbles out of his pocket and started blowing them in Gina’s face while Andre threw some of his beads around her neck.
When the parade ended, their chain linked up once more as they visited different booths and got countless freebies. Rubbery wristbands choked their forearms, while Leo’s shirt became plastered with stickers. Andre suddenly had not one, but four pairs of bright orange sunglasses on his face, all sporting a logo for a company none of them had ever heard of. After a bit of wandering, Gina stopped to buy a snack.
“You spent eight dollars on a pretzel?” Andre asked.
“What?” she defended herself. “I was hungry! Plus, I got a sticker,” she added, peeling off the backing and adding it to the collection that had amassed on Leo’s shirt.
“That’s still a lot,” Andre said skeptically.
“Yeah,” Gina agreed, her mouth full of pretzel. “It’s not even that good.”
“I’ll eat it!” Leo grabbed at it, but she dodged him and left him to stumble to catch his balance.
“Mine,” she said, grabbing Mally’s arm and moving on to the next vendor.
They continued in this fashion for nearly an hour, wandering the market-like plaza that had been erected on the grass. The energy level of their friend group dropped, but the party kept going stronger than ever. They passed all sorts of people, from kids younger than themselves to people who looked old enough to be grandparents. There were too many flags to keep track of, and dozens of outrageous outfits.
As the group made their way through the park, they came to an open, grassy area, where people had spread out blankets and were eating food, watching their kids run around, and just relaxing. The friends sat down on a patch of soil under a tree, soaking up a bit of shade. As excited as they were to be there, they had to admit their energy was dwindling.
Just then, a tall man in jeans and a baseball cap came up and stepped on Gina’s flag, knocking her backwards onto the ground. “Hey!” she yelled. “What the fuck!”
“Bisexual is just attention seeking,” the man said gruffly. “Pick one or the other. Don’t be greedy.”
“What the hell, dude?” Mally cried, standing up. “What’s your problem?”
“Bisexual isn’t real,” he spat. “She’s just a straight who’s trying to feel special.”
“Oh yeah? Think again,” Gina said, untying her flag and standing up. Before anyone knew what was going on, the man was on the ground, spitting curses at her.
Mally knew what was happening next before Gina could tell her. She gave a small nod before Gina grabbed her face and kissed her square on the lips. Andre and Leo’s cheers in the background only boosted her confidence. After a moment, Gina backed up and spat in the man’s face.
“Straight my ass. I’m here, I’m queer, and I strike fear into the hearts of my enemies!” she yelled as the man scrambled to his feet and ran away.
Mally turned to her and gave her a high-five. “Didn’t think we were gonna have to use that trick. Good thing we were prepared.”
“That was awesome,” Leo said. “You pushed him really hard.”
“Yeah, I was not expecting that,” Andre chimed in. “And yeah, good thing you guys were prepared.”
“Team effort,” Gina smiled at Mally.
