In a space of a heartbeat, I realize that there's no telling when or if I'll see any of them ever again.
Whoever I pursue may be the last person I get to speak to tonight. I think carefully before picking Leander.
For the second time today, I find myself squeezing through the crowd in order to reach Leander. As soon as he sees me, his easy smile fades. "Are you alright, (NAME)?" Im not used to someone looking at me with such concern. "I've been through worse today.." I trail off. "From the sound of it, you've had quite the day. How're you holding up?" He asks genuinely. "Well, I'm still alive,,, that counts as something, right?" He chuckles quietly. "Eridia's not an easy place to live in, but you'll get used to it eventually." "Let's hope so." Leander signals the bartender. "I'm parched. Want anything?" He asks you. "Just water, please." "Make that two." Leander orders the bartender. After a few conversations, Leander and I go to a more secluded place to talk. As I wonder about what else to talk about, Leander says "-And if you ever need a taste of normalcy, I'm always here for you." He blushes whilst staring elsewhere. "Even now?" Leander swallows. The table under his elbow groans as he leans closer.
The booth is so narrow that he completely blocks my view of the bar counter. It's almost as though he and I are completely alone. "If thats what you want." He whispers due to the tiny space between Leander and me. "How did it make you feel?" He questions. "It was.. warm? exciting? I don't know how to explain it." Slowly, he starts unwinding the bandages on my arms whilst looking at me. I cast a nervous glace around the bar. But as far as I can see, no one is paying us any attention. Leander squeezes my hand gently, cause my attention to focus on him. "No one will notice." He whispers in an almost seductive manner. He pulls back, using his teeth to tug off his gloves. Our eyes meet, and Leander offers his hand again. "There you go, hand holding on demand." He smiles. A lump forms in my throat.
I bblurt out the first request that comes to mind. "Can I touch your face?" He looks surprised, but agrees. I lean over the table, hesitating before I reach his face. When my fingers graze his jaw, Leander laughs softly. "That tickles, it's fine, you can just.." Leander trails off as we make eye contact. I unknowingly place my fingers between Leander's chin. Leander leans closer, our lips almost connecting.
"We should take this elsewhere." He smirks before pulling me up to my temporary room. As soon as we enter in, Leander locks the door and grabs my chin between his fingers. "(Name).." He whispers before he closes the space between our lips. I kiss back, wrapping my arms around Leander. "mghn-.." Leander moans into my mouth. We pull away before reconnecting our lips again. Leander shoves his tongue into my mouth, both of us moaning. "(Name)..." He mumbles into my mouth. I moan. He pulls away, making me whine. He chuckles. "Needy, are you now?" He says in a seductive, raspy voice. Fuck was it hot. "Leandeeerrr....~" Leander kisses my lips, trailing down to my neck, eventually biting softly "A-Aah~!" I squeal. It's gonna be a long night.

So
Little Nightmares III, huh???
I was trying to avoid being excited about it because no solid release date and 2024 could be a few months from now or a year from now and Idk how long I can handle being so fuckin hyped for this game YEEHAW
BUT I CAN'T, I KEEP THINKING ABT THE GAME AAHAHHGAGA
so here are my thoughts, if you wanted to know
FIRST OF ALL, i am so glad that after we saw LTNM II we thought it'd be co-op but it was just an AI, that we finally get co-op! AND ONLINE TOO, i spent the first day worried it'd be shared screen same room situation since i wasn't trying to get my hopes up but then I realised I can just.. google it.. AND IT IS!!! ONLINE!! IDK WHO I AM GONNA PLAY IT W FIRST AAAAAAAA
anyways, you can definitely tell it's a new studio working on this game, the world feels mostly the same but the character designs themselves are definitely stylistically similar, but not the same. With Six especially, the MC designs were very simplistic and realistic but used colour (or for Mono, a single design quirk being the bag) to stand out against their backgrounds and against the enemies which are largely neutral colours. But these new ones feel... "over designed"? On their own they definitely aren't, but in comparison to Mono, Six, Seven, and even NPCs like the flashlight girl, they have a lot more going on (especially the little wrench kid, Idk which one is Alone and which one is Low yet btw OOP)
Despite it being a new studio and you can tell, new puzzles and environments, they're still doing their best to have the OGs vibes and whatnot to feel familiar, namely in the trailer they bring back the fuses, and the additional gameplay video there's a short scene with an environment with all the shelves you can find in LTNM 1s gnome section (the one with the cart that is affected by the Maws swaying).
But regardless, it still feels different enough my brain is still nervous about it. I also feel In A Way about Tarsier having LTNM II explode and their franchise getting the attention it deserves, only to have it stuck with Bandai and now it's going to likely explode again and they aren't involved. Idk how anyone on that team feels about it, but if it were me omg.
Also the only boss we've seen so far (i hope they add more and i def want some to be a surprise so im not gonna assume this is the only one for now) feels... out of place? it has the design qualities of a LTNM boss, but the size of it makes it more of a spectacle than a warped/corruption of an adult. All the previous bosses fit in their environment, we are the small ones and they are scaled to the world around them. This is the first time, outside monster Six who imo is a bit of an outlier anyways due to her circumstances, we're getting a boss who is this huge and doesn't even fit their own environment. I hope we get a lore reason for this in some way, because currently the boss doesn't have the same vibe as the others and it's throwing me off a bit. Don't get me wrong, it'll be terrifying, but looking at the picture as a whole they are sort of out of place for me rn. I don't hate the bitch either, I'm not gonna be like omg get rid of it or change it, but it does strike me as odd seeing it for now.
And yes the tall man is too tall for a lot of things, but he's not THAT big. He's more like yer tall guy who hits his head off doorways, which happens irl anyways LMAO
Little Nightmares primarily tries to capture the feeling of being a small child and how everything is big and scary, but a doll that huge is out of the realm of reality set up for us already. It's gone from scary corrupted animal to godzilla, if that makes sense.
OH AND THE MIRRORS ARE VERY LTNM COMICS OF THEM TEE HEE < 3
#while i find the MCs designs to be a bit much for now they're fast growing on me as characters#they give me indie movie vibes more than little nightmares MCs vibes#but hey if we get a 4th installment then it goes from an outlier to part of a trend#my brain will get over it eventually anyways these are just my initial thoughts#oh and as long as they either dont bring back the flashlight or change its controls im mostly fine w the puzzles and whatnot#like suuuuuper minor gripe but i loved in the first games that when you had a weapon it was too big and too heavy#they had serious weight when you swung them and the mcs clearly struggled#and it really helped you feel powerless even when armed#i know the masked kid has a slingshot btw but i just hope it isnt used as an easy weapon and more as a distraction#having any kind of upper hand in this world sort of diminishes the initial scare factor they were going for#being that youre a small child helpless in this world#outside sixs ending but aside from the hallway you literally dont play w her power at the end#text#long post#little nightmares 3#ltnm 3#ooc

I have acquired a new thought... Y/N singing out lord near the lords.
I will start with my favorite and his imp.
The Queen does her daily stuff singing her favorite tracks out loud (obviously slutty songs).
Like her just going around the bathroom with a MP3 or her phone (idk how that works on hell, could be any other device for music) normally. But a song gets played and she starts singing out loud (not idol level but passable).
Just randomly going "Tight as a virgin boy dont get nervous, im here to serve you costumer service, I save dick by giving it CPR, put my mouth on it like CPR" or "My dick is big, my dick, my dick is very big"
What would Lacai and Vesper's reaction be? Would they know the song and join?
They're both so used to it, especially Lacai. Believe it or not, you're not the only one that goes around singing those, he's not likely to bat an eye at first. In fact, if you mess up the lyrics he'll audibly correct you while working. Lacai likes the sound of your singing voice, and it's good that you're in high-spirits, but he's very desensitized.
Vesper has a habit of humming those under his breath all the time, he's mostly just elated the two of you have similar tastes in music. He can sing them with you occasionally, when he's got nothing better to do than bumble around.
Naturally, if Zizz makes an effort to stay awake longer just so he can spend the maximum amount of time possible with you, then he's going to try to stay up for the lullaby too- But let's face it, he'll crash immediately.
He may wake up to you singing, and in that case, he'll try to stay as still as possible, but you can probably hear his tail whooshing around.
Zizz won't sing them out loud, but he might hum along, rarely. He likes to stroke your hair while you sing.
Breg's definitely going to attribute meaning to what you sing, so you might not want to sing about things like "leaving forever", or any such lyrics.
You'll be surprised by how quickly he joins, even if he likely doesn't know the lyrics. He's just very excited to do it with you- You can't get the other vocalizations he makes, so Breg sees singing as a way the two of you can vocalize feelings beyond just words.
He's a great singer, unknowingly so, because the vocal range of a breeder far surpasses that of a human- So it's easy for him to hit notes people usually have to train for a while to perfect. He's just happy to spend quality time with you.

idk why, but im gonna go on a rant about the dead by daylight ship between david king and dwight fairfield for no reason. disclaimer: my opinions don't really mean jack here tho bc im a lesbian and mlm opinions probably matter more in this case
ok im gonna start this by saying i'm neutral on the ship i dont give a damn, but some depictions bother me. like please for the love of god don't turn dwight into nothing but an uwu baby even though he is a little bitch. i know it's tempting. because then it ends up that david is just I'll Protect You and it gives me 2008 bad yaoi manga vibes like PLEASE dont play into the gender roles! by said gender roles i am referring to the fact that often in relationships between the same gender, one is assigned "feminine" and the other "masculine" mirrored after straight relationships even though that's completely unnecessary. like don't do that.
dwight is a nervous little bitch canonically and i know this, but also he does have some leadership traits. like read his lore. bro is terrified but apparently has learned to kind of face it head on even tho he's still scared just like everyone else. that, to an extent, makes him a little bit strong and a little bit brave. very stubborn in that he holds on to his pathetic little life (sorry i just gotta make fun of him a little). so like.. if david likes dwight, i feel like he would admire these qualities. just saying. and david isn't a god of a man either, im sure he has his moments where dwight needs to actually Assist him. so like... you know, mutual respect and admiration instead of "YIPES DADDY IM SCARED UWU!" and "dont worry bae i'll protect you with my big man muscles π€"

im really sensitive even though i try not to show it too much, and i hate confrontation. i stand up for myself/others if i need to but if the other person yells at me or catches an attitude iβll probably cry abt it later. i cry a lot in general @_@
i think my biggest hobby is music, i love going to concerts and im almost always listening to music. i also really like shopping (so so painful for my wallet </3), and i like treating myself to nice things (by treating myself i mean all the time i have no restraint). taking care of myself makes me happy so i canβt help it hehe

I kinda want to transition cuz id rather have a more masculine body and voice and still be nonbinary than stay like this. Idk if its dysphoria or not but id rather look like my men colleagues than my women ones
Doesn't help that my native language and country has a gendered language and people don't understand non binary

Hey anon. Lemme tell you something. That's the exact same boat I was in when I started transitioning. Not a binary man, just living outside the binary, but wanting to present more masculine. That's as good a reason as any other to start on T, and if you're nervous about it, remember that the changes don't start all at once.
My voice was the thing that gave me the MOST dysphoria, every time I put on my retail voice to talk to a customer I cringed in my head because I just. did not sound right. It was too high pitched, too nasally, I had to make an active effort to use my chest voice. And even then I'd go to work in tight sports bras, binders briefly before I realized that wearing them for 8 hours a day without real breaks at a physical job was taking a toll on me. And even THEN I'd still wear baggy clothing over top so my chest wouldn't be so obvious.
Like, listen. From an outside perspective what you're describing sounds like textbook dysphoria, even if it's just 'I don't like my voice and would rather look like a man'. The word 'dysphoria' tends to conjure images of tortured souls, trans people who wear a binder for the first time and burst into tears, people who see themselves in makeup and really see themselves for the first time. It doesn't have to be that dramatic. It can be as simple as 'I want to look more like a man'. Identifying on the binary is not a requirement of transition, and myself and many of my friends are living proof.
If you think it will improve your quality of life, go on HRT or get a binder. See how you feel. Look into voice training and chest voices and get some mens clothes (that you LIKE and dont just seem like they'd help you clock) from the thrift store. If you decide it's not for you, you can drop it cold turkey with minimal consequences. If all of the changes that HRT brings feel daunting, you can go on a low dose or stop once you reach a certain point- once your voice drops, it stays that way, no more T required.
TL;DR: uh YEAH you can absolutely medically transition if you're nonbinary, gendered language and societal knowledge might make it hard but it's more important to live as yourself than to make hypothetical random strangers comfortable.

ok before I answer this let me first say that I am 0% confident in my writing abilities so ive been very nervous about exploring raph, leo, and mikey's dynamic in case i make it incredibly ooc but Β―\_(γ)_/Β― here we go!
so donnie's absence really i think would really effect raph the most because it would only put more pressure on him as the oldest sibling and pseudo-caretaker of leo and mikey. a lot of the quality of life things that the hamato family has access to (electricity, plumbing, heating, etc...) in the show are all because of donnie's mechanical ingenuity. a lot of these things the hamato family just wouldn't have access to in this au, or at least wouldn't have access to all the time. raph, as the oldest sibling, ends up taking on a lot of that responsibility in trying to provide a stable and comfortable home for leo and mikey. and raph really does his best! but the issue is that no matter how many books he reads or like how many youtube tutorials he follows, they just dont have access to all the proper tools to create fully functioning household amenities, and raph so mechanically minded that he's able to improvise with what he does have access to like donnie is able to.
leo and mikey end up being a lot closer to each other than they are with raph, just because raph has so much responsibility on his shoulders. but even though leo and mikey are super close, leo is a little bit lonely because theres no one his age that he can really goof off with. like he loves mikey but even while he is goofing off and making trouble with mikey he still feels that sort of responsibility to keep mikey safe because mikey is the baby, so leo does tend to go off on his own to cause trouble and mischief and whatever other leo activities he likes to do
idk i have so many ideas for how raph is impacted by donnie's absence but im kind of blanking on how leo and mikey would be affected so if people have suggestions feel free to send them!

Cosplay advice?
guys this summer im going to monsterpalooza to meet Art (the clown) and im so so so excited. anyway while I'm there i wanna be my clownsona the first day (when i meet art) and (fem) leatherface on one of the other days. i want to make my own mask and prop sledgehammer or MAYBE a prop chainsaw. Im just nervous about trying to make a chainsaw because ive never tried to make a prop before. i think since im already going kind of campy by being cute girl Bubba anyway (like the bishojou fig. but more nasty), maybe I can get away with the prop being a little cartoony, sort of like the pinkamena/cupcakes cosplayers?

im also excited about the mask because I plan to actually use raw hide for it so it'll look super nasty.

do you think there's anything to be implied about the quality of rwby's writing and framing in light of how much of the audience misinterprets salem/oz and the role of the gods? i see so many people reading the lost fable as a straightforward condemnation of salem and ozma as a pretty basic tragic hero that it makes me nervous about the future of the show and that IM reading too much into things when i see more nuance in salem. are that many people really that shallow when engaging with rwby? idk
nah people areβwell tbh i think what it comes down to mainly is that fandom is not really centered around critical analysis, itβs centered on transformative engagement, and while these are by no means mutually exclusive endeavors they are in fact. Different. analytical vs transformative approaches to the text are different endeavors with different goals requiring different skillsets and can but do not inherently overlap. frankly in fandom spaces i think real textual analysis is not just ancillary but actively discouraged; nobody is quicker to respond to analytical discussions with βitβs not that deepβ than a fan who doesnβt like the discussion and there is a noticeable tendency in fandom spaces for any analysis that isnβt 100% ebullient to be read as negativity or criticalβe.g. note the frequency with which my reading of ozma is interpreted as character bashingβwhich isnβt to say that fandoms do not engage analytically at all, but in broad terms there is something of an unspokenβ¦ chilliness toward textual analysis in fandom culture. and i am saying this from the perspective of having written a lot of textual analysis and a lot of fanfiction across different fandoms; there is A Pattern. you write a detailed analytical breakdown of your reading of a character and see people tagging it fandom negativity while gushing about the detailed character study you wrote based on that same reading enough times and you start to pick up on the fact that maybe fandoms are not really built for analytical engagement. there is also the whole thing where fandom has an entire category of headcanon predicated on βthis thing happened in the text but i donβt like it so no it didnβtβ and a second entire category predicated on βthis has no basis and is possibly out of character but i like it so happened actuallyβ lmao [TO BE CLEAR THIS IS NOT A VALUE JUDGMENT I HAVE NONSENSE HEADCANONS ALSO ITS FINE.]
anyway this is all fine but! because fandoms devote the bulk of their collective energy into pouring out vast endless streams of like, fanfic and fanart and headcanon and βship dynamicsβ [i still do not quite understand what these are] and incorrect quote mills and so forth you tend to get a sort of collective flattening of the text. there is a tendency for characters to be stripped down and reduced to small easily-manageable sets of tropes derived more from aesthetics and first impressions and for any moral complexity to be boiled down to simple black and white and for unique worldbuilding to be smudged a bit until it resembles its nearest recognizable trope. there is a sort of creative entropy. a smooth surface is easier to write on. also sometimes fans do not Obsessively Rewatch The Show four times in the space of a year and over time details get memetically blurred and this, obviously, is detrimental to the overall fidelity-to-canon of popular fanon.
and then like the thing to remember about rwby is itβs a very detail-oriented story, and one that respects its audience. the one downside of that storytelling approach is that fandom is uniquely ill-equipped for it (think about how many people Completely Missed that ironwood was on the express train to fascism land in V4-5 even though. the narrative made it like. hilariously obvious)
In Summary i lived through the fandom where the protagonist after two years of increasingly toxic behavior towards her bestie, charbroiled her friendβs arm into a shriveled blackened husk and not only did not apologize but had a whole episode about being mad at the friend for being upset and then 95% of the fandom was shocked when the friend went βfuck youβ and stole the magical artifact whose power was involved in the charbroiling incident all of four episodes later; and almost two years later half the remaining is still Discoursing about how the friend βdidnβt have a reasonβ for betraying the protagonist. tts was a show written with small children in mind. i have witnessed Actual Forty Year Olds insisting that this characterβs betrayal was petty and childish. rwby is a lot more tightly-written and nuanced and not a disney princess cartoon and while it does benefit from its fandom not being mostly Disney People the fandom is still. A Fandom. doing what fandomsβ¦ do.
#i really cannot emphasize enough that the salem nonsense is not ANYWHERE EVEN CLOSE TO the level of the cassandra tts nonsense#like every single episode that is About Cassandra is about rapunzel being an egregiously bad friend#(cause tts went βthis girl grew up abused in a tower and has negative social skillsβ god bless)#and the charbroiling happens because rapunzel uses a Known Dangerous Uncontrollable spell that cass begs her not to use#goes into a trance repeating it and cass grabs her to snap her out of it#and then like two episodes later is like iβm mad at you bc i had it under control and you wouldnβt have gotten hurt if you listened to me#and people are still like βhow dare this petty egotistical selfish bitch be angry at rapunzelβ lmfao#like at least with salem sheβs The Villain yk#not the deuteragonist who gets two seasons of being relentlessly mistreated by her friends and permanently disabled before finally snapping#anyway yeah as a Collective fandoms donβt engage beyond the level of like grade school analysis you get on TVTropes#i.e recognition of common tropes and genre conventions#the rwby fandom is honestly ahead of the curve for having a widespread grasp of what deconstruction is#but itβs still not. great#ironwood is the measuring stick to use here

pissed off that im always too tired to draw, and when i do draw its just sketches that i dont want to share with more than a handful of people because idk im nervous to put my art out there in an unfinished stateβlike if im sharing with a wider audience than just some friends, i do want it to be quality, i want my art to Look like ive put time and effort and love into itβwhich makes me not wnat to draw because i Never finish anything, which makes me pissed off all over again

OKAY so I think the most fun scene to watch was definitely The Big Moment, like the one where Hugo finally confesses, since the fic had been building up to it for like, thirteen chapters at that point and it had been SO MUCH WORK getting it there, I was really excited to see the reactions!! Like it it wasn't without fear, I always get scared when it's a payoff for something I've hyped so much, but thankfully it went well! And my discord buddies were my unintentional guinea pigs since I gave it to you guys early lol
AND THE MOST NERVOUS. Uh. The end. Since the Moment (tm) was something I was pretty confident in being a good scene, that one was more excitement, but the ending.... idk I always get so nervous for endings. Like imo a bad ending can tank a story, regardless of the previous quality (lookin at you, game of thrones) and can also ruin someone's want to visit again. Cuz at the end of the day I aim to make fics that I/others get multiple reads out of, thats why I leave Easter eggs and foreshadowing and symbolism, because I want to give a reader something to chew on during a second viewing. A bad ending though... that can keep someone (including myself lol) from coming back. SO YES. THE ENDING WAS THE ONE THAT GAVE ME THE MOST STRESS in terms of the stress to excitement ratio. Thankfully people seem to vibe with it, so we've pulled it off π₯°π₯°
