most of the drivers' reactions to the whole Horner situation is so disappointing tbh. what do you mean someone in the paddock, an employee gets harassed by one of the top figures in the sport and your reaction is either "it has nothing to do with me", or "no comment", "i just like cars and i want to drive", "it's noise and distraction", "i'm here to race", and "it's a good thing for the media", "it doesn't affect me", "i don't really have an interest".

why is it so hard to care about something other than your racing career? you gotta have some morals, dude. not caring about women's safety in your oh so beloved sport is some fucked up behaviour. in situations like this it really shows how fucking privileged they are and it's honestly repulsive.

this is precisely why Lewis is always the one being asked about any non-sport related topic. because he's the only one who cares and gives honest and nuanced answers. genuinely terrified of what this sport will become when he retires, cause no one will speak out on anything.

and then people wonder why we say that f1 is not a safe place for women and that misogyny is still very much a thing in the sport? men don't care, including the president of the fia and f1, the other team principals and most of the drivers as well. when the faces of the sport clearly don't give a shit about women, what kind of hope is there?

they can talk about equality and progressive values and promoting women in motorsports, when this is the reality of how they actually treat the women working in the sport. imagine how that poor woman is feeling, seeing how much the drivers care about what she's going through. utterly disrespectful, with no compassion or empathy.

f1 needs to do so much better.

Corey Graves with the foreshadowing of all time in this old episode of Smackdown (February 19th, 2021)

Let's talk about this episode, shall we? Because the Sami & Jey dynamic is really interesting in retrospect

Let's talk about how this episode accidentally focuses on the samijey dynamic way before it became "a thing" - remember these were HEEL Jey and Sami - they were both at their lowest points, with Jey at his most volatile and aggressive (still reeling from his defeats against Roman) and Sami being an annoying, paranoid mess (this was shortly before the whole Johnny Knoxville thing).

At the start of the show, Sami interrupts a segment between Edge and Roman (the "real" top feud going on in SD at that time, if you'll remember - oof pandemic era) and immediately starts rambling, which Roman ignores, Edge laughs at and Jey just watches looking equal parts confused and curious:

man literally got the 🤔 going on

that was until Sami got the camera crew involved and started yelling into the microphone, at which point Jey lost patience and superkicked him - look at his face when he turns around to look at the camera guys he's soooo annoyed

classic samijey angst shot before it was a thing i'm just sayin'

Sami rolls to the outside after the superkick so Edge and Roman can resume their thing - and what does Jey keep doing during the rest of the segment? stare at Sami on the outside, of course

he just keeps doing it for no apparent reason

even while they're all making their exit, Jey's in the back of the shot staring at Sami, who's still down (lol at his little head popping up in the right corner of the frame)

cut to the main event tag match of heels Sami, Jey & Corbin vs babyfaces Daniel, KO and Cesaro. Immediately as Jey makes his entrance he and Sami start bickering

that's when you have that great line from Corey Graves about sparks flying (talk about foreshadowing lmao)

also let's talk about how Sami gets in Jey's face but Jey doesn't look phased by it and looks weirdly relaxed as he responds with "I got you"

they go on to bicker during the match, of course

but to also be the only two people to work together (we even pause the match at one point to have a classic "angry" tag spot between them)

and to put a cherry on top, they are also the only 2 to save the other from getting pinned

it's fun to see that even over a year before Sami famously approached Roman to officially kickstart the Sami in the Bloodline story arc, these two were already gravitating towards each other on a random episode of Smackdown 🤧🤧 it makes for really funny (unintentional) foreshadowing

WELCOME BACK PIXEL!!! I think I once reblogged a fic idk if it was yours where it had something similar and I said "that's hot, sadly I cry when shouted at" AHHSJSEJWHSHSSGH I still think it's hot-

Now he's a busy man he litterally has a whole planet to look after. The dreamscape is somewhat falling apart not to mention...yknow, a dear family member so this man is stressed. Even concealer isn't enough to hide the dark circles around his eyes. You also notice how his feet always seemed restless these days. Possibly cause of his recent unhealthy caffeine intakes BUT YOU GET THE POINT.

Man is this close to absolutely losing his mind 🤏 and this time what appears to you as the normal disagreement that he would usually nod silently to with a smile feels more like stepping on a mine. You've absolutely NEVER seen him shout so angrily before. Whatever rage you had before was quickly swapped in for fear as his hand grips you arm tight enough that it hurts. You litterally start tearin' up.

Aight let's make out up two scenarios. First one is Ai's fluffy Sunday where he would quickly snap out of it and release you. Even he is terrified of what he just did and he can't help but feel guilty as you sob out apology after apology muffled by his shoulder. He would probably politely ask you for some alone time between the two of you to sort of calm his state of mind without the risk of that happening again and once it's done he will make sure to make it up to you.

TW for manipulative behaviour under the cut!!!

Second is a more manipulative aproach inspired by your writings but I'd imagine after the scolding he'll slouch down to the point where you are face to face with him as he goes back to that gentle voice to ask you if he was clear. Oh you think that'll be easy? He won't stop until you look him in the eye and verbally tell him yes. Afterwards he'd pat your head and pull you into his arms as he calms you down. Now sobbing in his shoulder as the other scenario described just with a whole lotta guilt this time. Don't worry, this won't happen ever again as long as you don't misbehave. You surely won't disobey him anymore right? He's doing all of this for you afterall.

Both endings leave you scared shitless but atleast the first one ain't that bad.

you know what pisses me off?? straight hair = normal, pretty, desirable hair.

if 14-year-old me could see my hair right now, she’d be appalled. “But I thought only straight hair could be pretty, like in Princess Diaries?” she’d say. Because that is what media taught me. Every actress, every protagonist in a glow-up teen romance movie, every influencer, if they were white (or mostly white), a girl, and needed to be seen as “pretty,” they had straight hair.

I spent all of middle school and high school straightening my hair to a crisp. Every single morning, I would spent twenty minutes minimum forcing my hair to take a shape it hated, frying it into submission.

Who was going to tell me that my hair wasn’t meant to be that way? Not my mother, who had naturally straight hair. Not the people around me who were doing exactly the same thing I was. Certainly not the media, who told me I would only be beautiful with straight hair.

I’ve been wearing my hair naturally now for almost a year, and it is still recovering from the damage I did to it. But it looks better than it ever did before because it’s meant to be wavy. My hair wants to be curly, that’s just how it was made.

Anyway, this is your sign that if you have always thought your hair would only look good if you use heat every single day to shape it in a certain way, it might be time to just see what it can do naturally. You may not like it, and that’s okay, but everyone should be given the space to try out new, maybe natural things, rather than telling young people that there is only one way that is beautiful.

I've had this Sansaery Modern Westeros Politics AU bouncing around in my head for about a year or two and I finally decided to post some edits I made for it.

Oh anon darling, no I just like talented people. It’s not my fault that they also happen to be hot as fuck. What can I say my taste is immaculate.

Also, so what if I did? So what if my only investment in sports was the fact that I found the people attractive? Why would that matter?

I just don’t think we should be policing how and why people are fans of things or people. Let them enjoy the thing and if they do it in a way that irritates you, block them and move on with your life. People don’t have to like something in the same way that you do for it to be valid.

God that last post is so fucking frustrating because Asians experience so many microaggressions for names especially when you live in a non Asian country and it's the worst thing. Because names MEAN something and in Asian cultures the mean a whole lot they're about history and extend so far back. They have deep and complex meanings that vary from country to country. And people make fun of them or mispronounce them and continue to do so or ask "can I call you -whitename- instead" like it's a nickname that's cute no fuck off, or like how sometimes we have multiple names because we have to or we have to make up a name cause we think we need to or even consider changing our own name to something dumb like Betty because the incredible culturally significant and beautiful name we have ends up bringing us nothing but pain because it's just another way to ostracize and bully and exclude us. That we have to make ourselves palletable to white folks because "wow you're so pretty and foreign I wish I had your eyes/hair/skin" but "your name is hard to say can I call you this instead"

It's disgusting, and if you find you disagree then you need to stop fetishizing us and learn some Goddamn empathy and respect or go read your dumb white vampire book or your stupid hoover lady and leave our spaces alone

Billy deserves to be angry. Anger is not only a very human and normal emotion but keeping in mind he's probably been beaten for showing any other emotion (like crying). Also:

He's been treated like he's anything but human for years. So when you say he shouldn't be angry, or when you make fun of him for crying, you're basically saying he doesn't deserve to be treated like a human.

He's a teenage boy who has a lot of responsibilities (Max being one of them).

He's had to leave the only home he's ever known behind. Leaving California was the equivalent of leaving his last happy memories. It was probably easier for him to picture his mother because there were memories made there. But not in Hawkins.

Speaking from experience, and from friends I've met, Billy Hargrove is actually reacting pretty tame compared to them. Believe me, when I tell you, he could be so much worse. He's not a lost cause (and I'd like to believe no one is).

He has no real friends. He's lonely. I hate to break it to you, but some people don't enjoy being alone. Loneliness, abandonment... When you expect everyone to fit into a box where everyone is sweet and abiding and quiet and all around good... I'm afraid you're living in a parallel universe. No one is completely good or bad. These expectations are not only impossible to fulfill all of the time but they also silence the "socially unacceptable" victims. You're helping no one here.

Billy lives with two people who pretend that he isn't being abused every day. Susan and Max do not tell anyone about what's happening to him. Before they came along, Billy was alone with Neil. Now there are witnesses, and yet they still stand by and do nothing. Imagine the hope Billy felt at first, only to watch Susan and Max turn a blind eye to his suffering. Imagine living in a house with people who know you're going through something shitty, and they choose to sit back and let it continue to happen. Don't fucking tell me you wouldn't be angry with them for staying quiet. I will tell you right now, as someone who is surrounded by people who, like Susan and Max, either knew what was happening to me or even had a feeling, I cannot look at them sometimes without wanting to scream. Knowing they could've helped me makes me sick. As an abuse victim, there is nothing worse than having people who can say speak up about your situation when you can't fight back or escape, and they choose to do fucking nothing. Abusive homelives are nothing to take lightly. If your abuser doesn't kill you, chances are you'll do it yourself. Being treated like shit fucks you up in every way. It can kill you from the inside.

watching the Friend episode of heartstopper and every time i do i have to acknowledge that charlie’s party is at my local bowling alley. like i could tell you everything nearby without blinking. also the layout of the shopping centre it’s in implies that nick was straight up just gonna go downstairs for his date with imogen like the madman he is. the nandos is right underneath the hollywood bowl. the cineworld is on the floor above. charlie spring had his 15th birthday party in the same place i skipped half my yr 11 prom. it is a small world out here and i’m never gonna be able to bowl there without thinking of this fucking show again

I watched Sailor Moon Cosmos last night and thought it was great. Honestly, the best thing to come from this whole Crystal fiasco. I'm not kidding. Tomoya Takahashi gets it. He gets it way more than Munehisa Sakai or Chiaki Kon ever did. It's a shame Takahashi wasn't on board from the jump.

I think the people complaining about the animation are insane. This movie looks great. Any complaints I have about the art/animation is strictly my bias against digital animation. They did an awesome job here.

The pacing could've been better but the manga has the same issues. Stars works better in movie format than Dream did.

Here's hoping it gets a US release soon.
