school spirits was so funny for doing a plot in one episode about how mad two of maddies friends were that she didn't tell them simon could see her & having it be resolved w maddie saying "i'm sorry i kept it a secret, i'll never do it again & i'll tell all the other ghosts right away" only for the ghosts to be like "well, hang on a minute. i know we were pissed you kept it from us, but maybe lying really is the answer here. just don't do it to me"

Ivan: Oh, hey Tills! It’s uh-.. it’s been a while.
Matilda: Uh-huh.
Ivan: Bruno’s out back if y’wanna come hang out, maybe we can talk or.. whatever.
Matilda: Sure.
Ivan: Y’know, if y’not feelin’ it anymore we can-…
Matilda: What?
Ivan: Nothin’, it’s just…
Matilda: Does this dress make me look fat?
Ivan: [scoffs] I ain’t answer-.. wait, are you pregnant?!
Matilda: Sure looks like it.
Ivan: Seriously?!
Matilda: Mhm.
[Ivan catches himself mere seconds before recklessly tackling Tilda, embracing her gently instead]
Ivan: Christ-.. why’d y’wait so long t’tell us?!
Matilda: [shrugs] I’m telling you now, aren’t I?
Ivan: [thickly] I thought you’d changed y’mind, I-…
Matilda: Don’t fucking cry about it.
[Ivan chokes out a laugh, attempting to swallow the lump in his throat]
Ivan: You’ve been t’the doctors, ain’tcha? What’d they say? I could’a-…
Matilda: This-.. this is why I didn’t tell you.
Ivan: Alright, okay-.. shit, I need a minute.
Matilda: Hey, uh-…
Bruno: I heard.
Matilda: [snorts] It’s wild how different you two are.
Bruno: Opposites attract, right?
Matilda: Clearly.
Bruno: It means a lot, y’know.. to both of us.
Matilda: I know.
Bruno: I’ll try n’ keep him off your back, but we’re here if you need anything.
[Matilda nods appreciatively, forcing a smile]
[Matilda’s hesitance doesn’t go unnoticed by Bruno, who swiftly finds himself wishing Ivan hadn’t run off. He’s not quite sure how to comfort her, but he figures a cuddle should do; albeit an awkward one]
Bruno: Thank you…

i’m sooo curious on bill meeting dipper’s parents. i think i remember you mentioning at one point they kinda sucked and treated dip especially bad. i’m sure that’s caused a lot of his long term mental health/self esteem issues and i can’t help but think his husband wouldn’t be too thrilled about that. also they don’t even know he’s married so that’s a whole other thing lol
In the Familiar AU, Dipper's parents shipped him and Mabel off to Grunkle Stan back when they were twelve, actually!
This was initially excused as the twins 'needing to get used to having magic'. Which makes sense! Magical puberty is a heck of a thing, and getting some training's useful to cut down on random magic surges.
But by the end of the summer, they hadn't made any plans for picking the kids up. This when Stan twigged to the real situation.
And by the end of that year, Dipper knew his 'paranoid' assumption was absolutely correct.
So the twins grew up in Gravity Falls, with only very occasional visits back 'home'. Contact's been sporadic, and Mabel's been the one who's clung more to their parent's attention. Dipper hasn't spoken to them unless forced to in years.
So yeah! Bill's not exactly thrilled with the parents - but lucky for them, they haven't met him yet! And they definitely don't know about the marriage. Much less anything else.

back when hot entropolic summer was first announced I knew right away I wanted to do something w how the pale was shown in the martinaise postcard, the lund girls, and some moments that stuck out to me in my mind after I finished the book. so I knocked this out in about two weeks during breaks at school and stuff. then I decided, you know what, I'm gonna scan this, paint it digitally but I'll reread the novel before I do that.
and then it never happened... Frowns. it's ok. I'm posting this now too but I had something else I'd been cracking away at so I'll probably post that tomorrow too
honestly i'm a little embarrassed by it now LOL but I put a lot of effort into the inking so. w/e. i'll post it anyway

i find it endlessly funny that people on twitter saw these early elemental test animations and went “THIS IS WHAT WE COULD’VE ENDED UP WITH???!@;&” like no actually believe it or not there was a time when the animators were still learning how characters made entirely from water and fire worked. It’s almost like it took lots of trial and error to end up with the visually stunning movie that we have today. crazy isn’t it

So you know how when you're a kid and you'll watch absolutely anything and enjoy it no matter how bad it looks because your brain simply doesn't register it as low quality yet because you're enjoying it?
The first time that I can remember seeing CGI that my brain registered as "Bad CGI" was circa 2011/2012, watching Kirby Right Back At Ya episodes on YouTube, seeing Dyna Blade in animation for the first time
Even as a kid all I could think about was
