Guys, I am shakingggg right now😭
I think I had just turned 14 when I first read Percy Jackson which was a year ago so I'm a pretty late bloomer, but I still fell in love with it anyways. Loved Rick's writing style and I still think the first page of Percy Jackson is one of the best first page ever created.
So having said that I was 14 when I found out a black girl would be playing Annabeth, Leah and I screameddd and shouted. I showed my family that had no idea what I was talking about and I was like,"look, this girl is playing Annabeth!" And they couldn't care less because they didn't see that history has just been made.
I feel like I'm just now realizing that too. Leah is only one year younger than me, but like I feel like Leah is me, Annabeth is me and I don't even know why. I just know that this was something that only happened to me whenever I saw Clawdeen from Monster High or Sasha from the Bratz. But now little girls are gonna see it through Leah.
People really underestimate representation but right now on December 20th I'm going to watch this show knowing that my type of hair is going to be called, 'princess hair.' and that's already a big step for me.

so uh, just in case
anyone cares about why i have “finally, for the love of god stopped posting dumb vent shit in ur account!” its not because i’ve been doing better lmao, unfortunately, it’s bc ive just been dumping in on my insta so it disappears after a while. yeah. oh and apologies for peeps on mobile :(
anyways. yeah, two weeks ago was a very rough patch in mental health for me. without getting super into details; someone following my insta called the police and then i got to visit the hosptial. fun times were had by all, 11/10 would do again.
but jokes aside, i no longer use my instagram! and life sucks and everything in This House is monitored!!! my devices shut off at 9:00, my anxiety has recently been getting to the point where i have vomited after therapy.
for some reason my hands started shaking while typing this, so in all seriousness i think i’ll end the post here. sorry for being so inactive. school is really out here beating my ass. see yall soon i guess.

pearl the promo pictures have me shakingggg :0 since you know what's going to happen which scene are you the most excited for
I’m the most excited for the scene where Nubsib saves Gene from Aey and then takes him home and asks him if he knows what he did wrong.
I think it’ll be a fun role reversal since in their emotional relationship Nubsib has still generally allowed Gene to call the shots and operate as the older one because he’s such a simp for him. But in this case he’s so angry he wants Gene to explain what he did like a child.
I also just generally like scenes where Gene sees glimpses of Nubsib’s darker side and he doesn’t know what to make of it, like how he froze up seeing Nubsib threaten Aey in the bathroom. I think he logically knows Nubsib is conniving and secretive since Nubsib lied his way into his life, but it’s easy for Gene to forget when Nubsib is acting like his soft bratty boyfriend. Then Nubsib does something, and Gene remembers.
