Remix is an ex-Decepticon who was created shortly before the war began. She was (and still is) a fierce anti-functionalist, and joined the Decepticons in order to fight for a better world.

However, as we all know, things started going quickly sideways for the Decepticon movement, with Remix being carried along with it. The movement became ruthless and bloodthirsty, with only the strong surviving and the weak being destroyed. Remix initially went along with it, believing that it would all be worth it for the perfect utopia that they would create, before eventually realising that the dream of a perfect utopia would never happen, and that the Decepticon movement wasn’t going to create a paradise where everyone was equal, like she dreamed, but one where the strong ruled over the weak.

She fled the Decepticons and went to earth, where after a couple of decades, in the early 20s she met the Scout Backfire, who rather than reporting Remix as she technically should, gave her the technology to hide her spark signal in order to protect Earth from the DJD. The two became friends, and eventually fell in love, and married each other in the fifties.

Remix tends to be quiet and standoffish, often struggling to be emotionally vulnerable. She’s also a very anxious person, but her overall demeanour would certainly not give this a way. Backfire and Remix tend to balance each other out; Backfire is impulsive whereas Remix is overly cautious, Remix is anxious where Backfire is carefree, and so on and so forth.

An outsider's knowledge of The Locked Tomb series, based on what I've seen from Tumblr.

So it's a series of books. Idk how many they are (at least 3? And they're still coming out) but I'm pretty sure they all have the suffix "the ninth". Idk what this means.

One of the books is called "Nona the ninth" but I feel like I never hear people talking about a character named Nona so idk what that's about

The two protagonists are Harrowhark and Gideon. They're very much in love but also I think there's some elements of Toxic Yuri at play. Not like enemies to lovers but more of like a codependency thing I think?

At some point one of them eats someone I think?

Harrow is the little goth one and she's like. Angry and bitey and very wetpathetic like a gutter cat.

Gideon is the taller ginger one who's a bit more butch. She's also angry and bitey but less so? I am attracted to her.

Harrowhark and Gideon are part of like... An order of space nuns who do necromancy. It seems like Harrow takes this responsibility more seriously and Gideon just wants to fuck around and look at tits.

That's why they have the skull makeup. Because they're Necro Nuns

Idk why Harrow is always drawn with the Bone Corset thing but Gideon isn't. Idk if this is just because she's Like That or if it's like... A separate uniform she has for whatever reason.

There's a lot of angst derived from how Harrow is like... Indoctrinated and controlled and lacks agency in her own life.

Harrow and Gideon are separated at some point and fans are very keen to see them reunited. Maybe. I might be making that part uo

There's a blonde woman named Ianthe? Idk what she does though. That's the only other character I know about.

As far as I know there are no men. Or at least no men worth talking about.

I'm not sure what the titular Locked Tomb is all about. Presumably something to do with necromancy.

You know for a series that people call the "lesbian necromancer series" I feel like I rarely hear people discussing the necromancy parts.

I'm also unclear on the time period and setting. I think it's set in space but idk if it's like a far-future thing or an alternate universe or...?

There's a lot of perspective-hopping. I think it also switches between 1st and 3rd person POV which is neat I suppose

I heard somewhere that it's loosely based off of a Homestuck fanfic but idk if that's true

My name is Erin, I'm 32, disabled physically and mentally. I'm autistic and a butch lesbian living in the deep south in a homophobic Baptist mainly place.

I get SSI but most of it goes to my abusive grandma who demands it due to us being allowed to live with her, rest goes to doctor or therapist I must see.

Grandma does not allow us to eat, use or touch anything of hers she doesn't want us to taint it with our corruption and vile souls. She has anger issues and strikes out easily, she abused my mom mentally and let her husband physically abuse her. We used to live on our own in a house... that had holes in the walls and floor next to no plumbing and a bad exterior.

But we've been stuck here ever since then.

We desperately need food for the kids, for my family, for my grandma's cats aka ours as she feeds them shittu, cheap garbage. I can starve whatever I've done ut since childhood, but please think of the kids. It's a lot to ask but uf you have anything yo spare please share. We're in desperate need of help we havent had help in week.
