do you guys ever think abt how in st4 they introduced the concept of nina and blocked out memories to protect someone from trauma… and now we know they’re filming unseen scenes from will in the UD… wouldn’t it be RLLY cool if el brought nina up, and idk?? like?? meditated with will to access his memories in search of the key to defeat vecna? maybe from something that happened in the UD that he blocked out? would high-key be a bomb ass scene and so cool for some willel bonding🤞
Ι love this scene so much because LWJ sees a lantern that looks like the one WWX had drawn for him in the past and he really wants WWX to see it. However, he is too shy and reserved to shout to him to catch his attention so he just stands there for a while, just waiting patiently to be noticed Q^Q. And WWX indulges him and suggests they buy it because he knew LWJ wouldn't just get it for himself :''(( AND then LWJ carries it around before giving it to LSZ to keep (that is so dad of him).
Not to mention that the bunnies lantern is a very significant item to LWJ. It wasn't only the first gift he received from his crush ever (in CQLverse) but it is also symbolic of the promise they had made to protect the weak together and do what is right. On top of everything, LWJ is showing his vulnerable side here by admitting that he indeed likes rabbits (he couldn't beat the allegations hahaha).
I think that like, the major reason why benrey got so mischaracterized by the fandom at hlvrai's peak popularity was because they forgot he acts like a dmv employee
Me watching the scene explaining how Buck got his nickname from Bucky for the first time: *goes over my head because so much gay shit is happening*
Rewatching the scene again: "Buck this, Buck that. Buck, can you help me tie my shoes? Buck, help me fly this plane." 👀👀
Thinking about it randomly: Hehe, "Buck, can you help me tie my shoes?" That's cute.
Thinking about it for the hundredth time, my mind getting no rest imagining how that went: WHAT DO YOU MEAN BUCK CAN YOU HELP ME TIE MY SHOES, YOU SLUT, YOU WHORE. DO YOU ASK FOR HIS HAND TO CROSS THE STREET TOO??? *sobs* Is Buck just saying this shit as an example? But why would he say that? LEAVE ME ALONE.
Do you think Bucky ever asked Buck to help him tie his shoes? Do you think Buck helped him? 😭 I don't know why I fixated on this. I'm in agony and I wanted to share ❤️
NAH BECAUSE WHAT THE FUCK. i can't even count how many times i've rewatched this scene, whether from rewatching the show itself or from making edits or checking dialogue for fics, and yet??
somehow my brain never latched onto that moment either until reading this ask, for the same reason you said LOL. i'm literally tweaking oh my god. i want to believe so badly that john's actually asked him to tie his shoes lmfaooo like gale does say it like he's just rattling things off as a joke, but knowing their dynamic, i wouldn't be surprised in the slightest.
a more likely scenario that popped into my head though is john being too drunk to untie his shoes when they get back to their room one night during flight school, and having to humble the fuck out of himself by slumping over on the floor against the wall and being like "...buck, can't get my shoes off." and gale asking "is that a statement or a cry for help?" and john giving him the ol' puppy dog eyes and grumbling out "can you help me untie my shoes, please?"
I spent all my tv time watching the episodes that noritoshi appeared in over and over again literally squealing and kicking my feet whenever noritoshi is on screen that my family is just sick of my shit
Noritoshi scolding abt using indoor voices...... swoons....... He would be so orderly and nagging abt it too... uwaa....... coughs
you and me both, bro. The way Noritoshi presents himself with such grace and stoism is so fucking beautiful, even my ancestors possess me to let out their shock. the way his type of character talks, too, with formalities and like he has an image to uphold... HOW CAN YOU NOT YELL AT THAT. Not only that, but he's so... flowy.... from his clothes to his hair and the way he uses his bow in the fight scenes..
the fight scenes served hella cunt. I love shonen sm. Noritoshi fight scenes are so good.... but stop fucking giving him concussions @ gege
I'm nowhere near done with my full bad batch rewatch but I have said it once and I'll say it again: Echo would understand Crosshair better than anyone else after this experience and that is a hill I will die on.
(bear with my screenshots here please, i just scrolled back and used images from my gallery instead of grabbing new ones)
di feisheng, during his time masquerading as a-fei from episodes 8-13, for the most part has outfits that are fairly consistent with one another. they all share the same close cut and they're quite functional, good for if one needs to move quickly or efficiently. if you look at the number of layers, too, you'll see that these three outfits here have a white underrobe, a grey middle layer, and then a cinched outer robe. (these under + middle robes are found in other places across di feisheng's wardrobe, iirc? but i'm just focusing on this arc).
the point where this pattern is broken is when di feisheng is wearing the robes he initially had on when pretending to be shi hun in episode 12, during the cailian manor arc. he then kept these through episode 13 until he fought fang duobing, then disappeared back to jinyuanmeng.
the look of this outfit is cut differently than the previous ones— instead of the previous pattern for the inner layers, we have one white underrobe, then one functionally outer robe with little embellishment except for those pleats, and then the layer with draping sleeves. assuming that all the previous outfits were ones di feisheng chose himself, this one is an anomaly, given his taste. where did he get these robes from?
well. you know which person around frequently wears outfits like this, with a consistent white underrobe, and a plain outer layer with the same distinct pleats at the lapel?
i think di feisheng might've borrowed li lianhua's clothes for their fake shi hun interrogation act, and then didn't end up giving them back.
kind of late on this but with the info from the fanbook, my updated take on the whole teru’s parent’s situation is that he had parents that didn’t want him to need them, so he relied on his powers to help him be self sufficient so they’d be proud of him. only it worked too well and they used his self-sufficiency as an excuse to fuck off to who knows where. and he got a huge superiority complex because his powers were the only thing they ever praised about him + are the reason he got treated differently than other kids. and also made terrorists want to recruit him (#justprotagonistthings)
i don’t think he sees any problem with any of this btw like sure he rejects that ideology now but i think he’s like lol well what can ya do! :P he knows its wrong on some level because he never brings it up but also he’s so nonchalant about it that i don’t think he’s touched those feelings with a 10ft pole
