JERICHO

Jericho is Ozzy’s familiar, a Black-Headed Python. He can be very temperamental, and even lashes out at Ozzy for his rash decision-making. While he is not particularly old considering the lifespan of a vampire’s familiar, he feels like an old man having to corral an uppity teenager. He’ll bite Ozzy for any reason, mostly to get him to behave. If he is with Ozzy, he is usually draped around him like a dramatic feather boa, though he has a nice enclosure at home. He dislikes Dirge very much and wishes she would leave him alone. However, he is fond of Zen and thinks he does a good job tempering Ozzy, provided he doesn’t become an overeager follower into whatever shenanigans his partner gets into.

QUICK FACTS

Ozzy is the older son of Ryder and Ris. Warlord!Verse Mike, AJ, and Ike are his biological grandparents, and he has a rather large family through the half-siblings of his parents. Zeke is his little brother, who he cannot stand. He has one half-sibling through Ryder with Aster.

While he is a year older than him, Zen is his best friend, and the person that knows him the most intimately. Ris has referred to him on more than one occasion as Ozzy’s most ardent disciple.

Ozzy is the first naturally born hybrid of two of the Canadian-Vampire hybrids that Mike set into motion to create super soldiers for his war. Due to his parents being Ryder and Ris respectively, he is considered higher than the rest, as well. Ris has always been a thing of hubris, as has Ryder, and they passed this on to their rather self-indulgent son.

Ris considers Ozzy a miracle, even though he knows that his parents would not think so. Ozzy’s birth was half of the reason he opted not to look for a way home, because he knew that he and Ryder were not meant to have a family.

Ozzy will absolutely sass his dad, and enjoys their banter. However, he refuses to sass his mother, and if Ris tells him to do something, he does it immediately. Ris only puts up with being sassed by Ryder, though that usually ends in things Ozzy doesn’t like to think about.

He has a hard time telling himself ‘no,’ and typically will only begin to temper himself when Zen has spoken into existence the need for it. He trusts Zen to know when he’s begun crossing lines, even if he doesn’t always enjoy having to back off of things.

While Prim sees it as a simple dislike of one another, Ozzy takes his every breath as a deep offense to his own inerrant existence. He sees them as rivals at the very least, and always seeks to show up and outdo him in anything possible. This included sniping the Student Council elections by using his vampiric powers of suggestion to secure his win the day the ballots were passed around. Zen assured him that he shouldn’t need to, and typically Ozzy would have believe him, but there are few and far between times when he doesn’t trust Zen on Prim-related matters, as the two are half-brothers.

Despite being friends with Tiff, and by extension at least aware of their brother, he has a distaste for both of their parents. His mother has never let go of the rivalry and hatred he had for Leslie for a vast majority of his life, and it has transferred down to Ozzy. He tries to keep things to himself, and for the most part just talks a big game, but has divulged to Zen that if he had the chance, he’d deliver Leslie to his mother on a silver platter. Zen believes this stems from his drive to make his parents happy that quite commonly stresses him out a great deal.

Most, if not all, of the hangout sessions he has with his friends are held at their house, or Zen’s. Ozzy isn’t ashamed of his family, though he knows that both of his parents are more theatrical and likewise hateful than most people are prepared for. It doesn’t help that his closest friend is half human, and his next closest is Leslie’s child. As such, he’s more comfortable keeping his friends far away from his parents.

Ris often treats Ozzy as though he is some kind of Messiah, and Ozzy dislikes the idea of correcting him. While he lives for the praise and the ability to do whatever the fuck he wants, whenever the fuck he wants, to whoever the fuck he wants, the pressure of being something he doesn’t really think he is gets to him. It drives him to act out more than usual from time to time, and this usually ends in worse fights with Prim.

Ozzy does not often think his actions or words through very well, and often comes from a place of emotion rather than logic. He is very reactionary and easily offended, and quick to pick fights because of this. The best hope anyone has to keep him from leaping a table and attacking is that Zen will work his magic and keep him calm.

Ozzy met Zen during recess when he was in first grade and Zen was in Kindergarten. He inadvertently made Zen cry and, while he couldn’t figure out why, felt kind of bad about it. He walked the weird little kid home after school, talking the whole time while Zen listened and hung on his every word. They’ve been best friends ever since.

Ozzy is best friends with Zen, though he’s very close with Tiff, Harley, Torm, Titus, and Gatlin. He flirts with all of his friends, at least to some degree, except for Tiff. The first and last time he did, they broke his nose and dislocated his shoulder for it. Torm is also iffy, due to his preferences. Ozzy isn’t as awful to people he cares about, though he has a bad reputation.

Ris very ardently believes a stricter, more warped version of Catholicism, and that he is a prophet of sorts. He has a god complex, but does not necessarily see himself as God. While he is not entirely sure how Ozzy is important fully, he knows that he is important, and has imparted said god complex to his son. Ozzy believes himself to be a God, however, even if his mother isn’t quite sold on the idea.

Ris has actively tortured Ozzy, both mentally and physically, and usually only stops if Ozzy gives in to him completely, or Ryder stops him. Ozzy has quite a few triggers due to this, as well as CPTSD that he refuses to acknowledge because he is not allowed to be imperfect.

Ozzy is a polytheistic solipsist, and honestly believes that he and his friends are all Gods/Goddesses. Era comes and goes from the pantheon depending on if she’s hanging out with him or Prim.

Ozzy cannot stand his brother Zeke, though Zeke has been in love with him for a while. He will fight with him, verbally or physically, whenever his short fuse runs out. Once he falls in love with Zeke, he refuses to call his brother by his name.

Ozzy is simultaneously Theophobic and Theist, and dislikes most religious iconography while also having a lot to do with it. Other people discussing it really freaks him out and he will typically try and leave the conversation.

One way that he can control things is controlling his own self harm, and his way of choice is to consume dead blood. Not enough to really kill him, but enough to make him sick.

Ozzy can take the forms of a Horned Lark and a Bombay cat.

I watch Pulp Fiction. I am enraptured by Vincent’s white bread greasy hair void of charisma slutty vacation shorts and Mia’s dancing skills. The movie ends. I am free.

So Bored for most of it.#taps my ’show don’t tell’ sign #sometimes I get around to watching movies considered to be classics and I Get It #this was not one of those times #THEY WOULDNT STOP TALKING #I need to edit that movie. Valentino watched you prancing around the studio, your little tail flickering behind you. He tasked you will setting out some refreshment for the stars as you weren’t currently on the job, just here to watch and sit pretty alongside your Tino.

You were royalty around here and everyone knew it, you were Valentino’s yesman, he asked you did, he beckoned you followed. Lucifer forbid anyone made a mistake around you, you’d go hopping straight to the big boss, snitching to Valentino about what the others did.

You rarely got punished as well, Valentino never really attempted to quell his anger issues or explosive episodes, but when it came to his little bunny, he thought twice. You were a sensitive little demon and though he couldn’t care less about the tears- the fits you threw weren’t worth the short satisfaction of yelling at you. So it came to everybody in the studios surprise when Valentinos wings splayed out wide, scowl on his face as he watched you bend over to pick up the cup you had knocked over.

You looked over your shoulder and up at him, his body cascading shadows over you, wings out and hairs on end. Your lip puckered out as you stood, cup in hand, liquid on the floor. “Aí bunny you know better then this. All these expensive wires and cables. I can’t do my job without them.” Valentino hissed glaring down at your through his glasses, your ears had fallen behind you sad and droopy.

“I’m sorry Val, I won’t do it again.” You squeaked out meekly, not used to being at the receiving end of his anger. “No, you won’t,” Valentino hummed out voice laced with false kindness. “Private room.” The moth cooed at you, wings falling to his side as he turned and walked off toward said private room.

The others in the studio looked at you with little remorse, everyone had to put up with his anger, you weren’t special or getting any pity because you’re finally facing Val on one of his short temper days. Tears clouded your eyes, blurring the room as you walked, thankfully seeing wasn’t needed as you had the studio layout memorized.

You walked into the private room on autopilot thinking of all the mean things Valentino was going to say to you. Opening the door, Valentino sat, your surprise, calmly. Sucking large huffs of hot pink smoke into his lungs he waited, legs and wings splayed out, just for you. Closing the door behind you, you stood stiff by it awaiting to be told what to do.

Valentinos hand lifted, finger beckoning come hither, his gaze fixed in front of him not even looking at you. Frowning, you scuttled over like the prey you were until you reached his stuck out knee. That’s when he looked at you, removing his sunglasses he grinned widely. “You know, I hate to punish such a pretty whore, but ah, that’s how it is~” Everything he said was smooth and sultry, making your legs inadvertently clench. Patting his thighs with one set of arms, the other left arm coming up to the small of your back. “Bend over~ I won’t bite,” As you bent over his thighs, he leaned down and whispered in your hear: “Yet.” Before darkly chuckling.

It started with one wack, but it progressed quickly ending with him kneading your ass with two of his hands, with one stayed attached to his pipe. “Look at’chu baby, you’re a mess~” He sneered at you pulling your skimpy underwear to the side to play with the slick you had accumulated. “All for you, you’re the only one who can get me off without the cams,” You admit breathlessly between whines of pleasure.

Valentino chuckled darkly, slowly and teasingly filling you with two of his long fingers. A groan of pleasure with full timbre echoed within your chest at the feeling of him, not only did he have you off in some room like the whore you were for him, but he wasn’t really mad. He realistically wouldn’t have been so quick and kind with his affections.

“I bet you spilt it on purpose, just to have me spread you out, filthy thing.” Valentino spoke with an amused tone as he watched you squirm agaisnt his slow prodding. “Yes always want your attention,” You whined attempting to back up into the pimps thrusts, but he kissed his teeth disapprovingly at you. “Oh little conejita, you’ve been so good, i’ll give you mercy.” Without another word Valentinos finger’s vigorously thrusted in and out of you, curling to hit that spongey spot inside of you. Gripping his thigh, you cried out and wheezed the last of your breath as your orgasm came rough and fast. Stars twinkled uncomfortably in your vision as your felt his warm fingers leave your body, making you whimper.

it's nothing just a few kisses and then he knocked out he drank a lot at the club. Vox nodded giving a half smile. Ever since vox introduced you to Valentino you both have been suck together like two peas in a pod , "don't tell me your jealous voxy" you whispered with a sly smile he rolled his eyes his smile seeming more genuine.

The door open reveling the tall moth man "sugar you left me~" val whined walking pass you and kissing you cheek he eyes vox giving a grin before sitting next to you. Right vox and Valentino were on a break again..

"so I was thinking you and me and go to my office and I teach you some stuff" vox said putting a hand on top of yours "-sorry vox I already offered to go mall shopping were gonna spend so much~" val said pulling you to his side.

"well you took her out yesterday it's my turn." Vox said with a stern voice val rolled his eyes sighing "fine I need to shot a video anyway with angel maybe I can play a part with him~" val snickered knowing that vox held a lot of jealousy for the porn star vox shot up walking to the door before giving you the eye to follow him.

You got up waving goodbye to val before jogging to vox. The two of you walked towards the lift in silence."you know val loves you right?.." you mumbled glancing at vox for a reaction a shrug was given as the lift doors opened.

"vox I know it's truff but why don't you say anything, step in , talk to him , Something?" You question your eyebrows crossing in confusion. A sigh left vox as the door opened , the two made your way to the big blue door with golden patterns , it swinged opened and you planted yourself on the fluffy blue sofa, vox was clearing his desk his tv head twitching slightly.

He turned to you as the you patted the spot next to you."you don't get it , if val doesn't love me what's the point.." oh shit. Well vox didn't meant to let that's slip. You stared up with wide eyes your mouth opening and closing. "vox-" "no because think of it what is my purpose listen him val would rather fuck a porn star then me. ME." Vox rambled on and on.

"vox.." he starts buffering while gipping his screen. "Vox listen you more then what that moth pimp says you are and listen I could go on live tv and ask if anyone would wanna fuck you and I swear to Lucifer that I would have over a thousand calls coming in. You vox are the most smartest, coolest , fucking sexy man I've ever met."

You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding "is that enough for you vox ?" You asked with a gentle voice "is my love enough for you?" He stared at you then looked away. "Yea...it is"

soooo as you might've noticed I've watched ep 5 and 6 of hazbin hotel and i'm

SO HYPED ABOUT IT

and I have so much to say so I should do it here, obviously

with spoilers, obviously

I just adore lucifer and his relationship with charlie and the way they are getting closer during the episode and how charlie is literally dad's daughter and their song is absolutely adorable

alastor and lucifer's duo is iconic as hell(haha)

AND of course this little fun fact of alastor also being on someone's leash that's great and I love how there are more and more mysteries coming out

despite the fact that alastor's confrontation with lucifer about charlie's father figure is most likely manipulation from alastor I hope we see more, you know, human qualities of alastor and learn more about him

I mean we've got this man swore so I don't think it's a big deal now

and also we now know these are the ears, clap clap

despite my sympathy for alastor though... PLEASE NOT HUSK damn alastor got him shaking, poor cat man:(

i love how after ep4 huskerdust are doing this little things like sharing popcorn and giving each other soft looks and stuff that's really good for them and I'm glad they're taking this slow

AND EP 6 OMG

let's just say I'm happy to see that neither all demons or all angels are dicks

and YASSS I adore character development and the way hotel's crew become a family for each other

like the way they try to protect each other in ep5 during the attack or them just having nice time together, you know

also I loved this tiny detail that now, in ep6 angel now is able to openly tell about how hard was his day and have a rest not being afraid of looking weak/not always sexy as fuck AND omg these scene in a club where angel stands up against valen(pls die)tino and calls hotel's crew his friends got me emotional. boy made big progress

and as huskerdust fan I can't help but love the way husker helps angel make right delicious and supports him (these bitches gay, good for them)

i'm excited about feb 2 and upcoming episodes

The TV headed demon in question jumped slightly, lifting his head from the desk where he was sleeping and running a hand down his screen. He sat up with a wince, his back aching. Fuck… What time was it?

“Vox, you missed the damn meeting and left me there with Valentino-... Damn, you look like shit. The fuck happened to you?” Velvette asks after she spun Vox’s chair toward her. The Media overlords appearance was very off from usual, looking disheveled instead of pristine.

“Nothing… I’ve just been trying to work on the Angelic Security shit…”

“That random idea you pulled out your ass? Why waste so much energy on that?? The extermination was canceled”

“Yeah, but what about the next one! I want to get this shit out there so the bitches aren’t breathing down my neck over it next year!” Vox said with a sigh.

“Yeahhhh, no. Come on, you haven’t left this damn cave in days.” She responds as she takes Vox’s hand dragging him out of his chair and out the door.

“I’m fine, Vel-”

“Don’t make me get Valentino” That shut the Media overlord up, he loved his husband, of course! But…… Valentino was already on his ass about this type of thing, if he learned the real reason as to why he wasn’t in bed with him at night… God, he did not have the mental capacity to comprehend that lecture.

“Yeah, that’s what I thought. Come on, I’ll get you something to eat” Velvette says as she pushed Vox into her room/living area. Vox stumbled a little but followed.

“I’m not really hungry right now, Vel” Vox mutters, he knows he should eat something… But the thought of food right now only made his stomach churn…

“Don’t tell me-... That thing is coming back?”

Vox shrugged and looked to the side, fidgeting with his sleeve slightly.

“Have you told Val-”

“No. And he doesn’t need to know, I’m fine.”

“Clearly you’re not, V! When was the last time you ate? Or slept? Or even took care of yourself in the slightest??” Velvette says, concern clear in her voice. “You’re gonna work yourself to your second death at this point!”

“I know, I know… I get it, It’s just hard to suddenly change something you’ve done since you were alive.. For years! I’m trying my best… but sometimes it creeps back…” Vox says his voice going quiet near the end, he sat down on the couch and sighed.

“...Bloody hell, V, I didn’t realize you were this fucked up” Velvette says with a joking smile, trying to lighten the mood as she sat down next to the Media demon.

“Who down here isn’t..?” Vox says with a slight smile, he then jumped and gasped quietly when he felt Velvette run her claws up his side. “V-Vel-”

“Come on, Vox, we both know you need a bit of a pick me up” The fashion designer says with a smile as she squeezes the TV demon’s sides.

Vox squeaked and tried to bring his knees up to his chest but Velvette just pushed his legs back down and started scribbling her fingers over his tummy.

“Nahaha! V-Vehel, nononono NOhohoho! Ehehek!” Vox giggled and batted at the Social Media influencers hands but didn’t really try to push her away.

“Aww, what’s the matter, Voxy, can’t handle what you dish out? Don’t think I forgot when you got me and Val the other day! So take this as a pick me up and revenge!” The fashionista says with a smirk as she started to squeeze and drill her thumbs into the Tech demon’s hips, giggling when he shrieked.

“VEHEHELVEHETTE! NAHAHAEHEHEH- I Cahahan’t-! Ehehehek!”

“Shush! God, you’re so bloody loud! At this point, Val’s gonna kick down the door!” “Ihihihi’M SOHOHORREHEHE-” “Blah, blah, blah. Whatever, I’ll slow down a lil, don’t want you passing out on me. Tino will have my head” Vel says with a softer smile as she plays with Vox’s antenna, making the TV headed demon’s giggles melt into something softer.

“Ohoho gosh…” “Yeah, yeah, just take a load off, alright? You deserve it…”

Below Zion: Rethinking Valentino

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to show you how we've been rewriting Valentino. As stated in my previous blogs, the characters are given different feels to make them as distinct from their show counterparts as possible so that eventually this can be its own thing. While still inhabiting the pimp lord aspects, Valentinos way of thinking, motivations and even what he does in his past-time should change how this character works and why I grew a fascination in writing about his character recently. Make no mistake, he is a villain and funnily enough, a stark contrast to Charlies ideas.

"Oh, the sex work is great! Tino is garbage. See, I haven't left the industry. I just ran from that self-rightous prick…" - Hip-Lash, one of Angels best friends, left the 'industry'. Hasn't seen Angel for 30 years. To understand where Valentino comes from and why he is the kind of person he is, some context is needed. In Below Zion, sinners are completely incapable of making pacts with other people. Their power instead depends on how sinful they were in life. If you sinned too much, you get thrown into Penance Machines, where you are excessively tortured and bleed out all that sinful energy for runes! Runes pass off as currency in Hell. But if you were not a cannibal serial child killer, you get to enjoy some amazing powers! Or if you got bailed out of these machines through some higher power. While nothing too crazy like what Alastor might be capable of, these sinners are still very powerful with the Wrath they possess. Valentino is no exception. His hazbin is an interesting case of a person hiding the true degeneracy that they possess deep within them. See, Valentino, known before as Mikhail "Milo" Tarentino, was a yoga teacher, originating from India! The guy, not really enjoying his position in India due to the fact that yoga was already quite popular there, decided to move to Italy where yoga wasn't as prevalent! Tarentino was a social butterfly, able to get many contacts and many students into his class! However, his true debauchery also began here. He would often have sexual intercourse with his own students, coercing them, grooming them and eventually fucking them! It does not help the matters that most of these women were married.

"Oh goodness, I did not expect to have a new neighbour! Welcome! I actually remember you, you know? You agreed to collect dirty things for Butcher Pete." Sledge nods. "So I did." "Gross job. Glad they had rubber gloves my size." He says, raising a paw, and wiggling his pudgy fingers… It reminds Alastor a little of one of those asian lucky-cats… cute. "Why ya callin' him 'Butcher Pete'?"

"Oh! No reason! There is just a very catchy song that I wish I NEVER paid any attention to the lyrics of!"

He says as he spins his microphone!

"Would you like to give it a listen? It reminds me of the kind of sinners that I find often here in Lust…" "Sure."

From Als staff - a combination of magical and technological - comes out a very upbeat tune! "Hey everybody, did the news get around? About a guy named Butcher Pete! Oh, Pete just flew into this town, And he's choppin' up all the women's meat!

He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He's hackin' and wackin' and smackin'! He just hacks, wacks, choppin' that meat!"

And also... this.

"Yeah, I see your point there, Al... but I got a question for ya~" He says with a sinister grin~

"Very well, i shall bite! Shoot!" "Say, have you ever had a pump and dump at a family reunion~?"

"[Oh no...]" The T.V Demon grows... concerned for what is about to be retold.

Velvette begins to giggle maniacally!

"I know Some of those words! Likely Not in the context You Want them to be in, though!"

"Then you do know the context I am referring to~ Don't worry Al, I am not talking about ones own family reunion, obviously, but somebody else's."

"You Are talking about FILTH then. No Val, i have done Nothing of the likes!"

"Oh come on, never had the fun? I had this one where I was invited to one of my students', I was a yoga teacher back in the day, you see? Anyhow, I eventually found myself banging different women. See, because they are all related, they had like, slightly different mommy boxes, but I was test driving 'em, right? Seeing how evolution has shaped each one a little differently so that you can find one that's just right?"

[No, Val stop, Al is already-]

"I call this goldilocksing~"

"And this relates to hunting... hoooow...?" Velvette seems perplexed...

Val thinks for a moment...

"I forgot what I was getting at, my bad~" He says as he takes a puff from his cigarette.

Al... looks grossed out. He thinks about this... And shivers in mild disgust again, a few moments after the first time.

As you can see here, Valentino kept his "trade" a secret in his human life, but he was also very good with it. Being able to get around fucking the entire female half of a family. Living in Italy though, he envied the mafia families that always seemed to be able to get what they wanted. More so because one day, one of those families caught Tino and his disgusting tendencies and... lets just say that he was never found on Earth again.

This eventually landed him in Hell. While he did sin quite excessively, it did not compare to the likes of Velvette, Alastor, Eve, Angel Dust or Agatha. However, he did gain one very prominent power from this... The red mist. The mist he puffs out whenever he smokes, the stench that leaves his body, the morphine that binds people to him like soul contracts!

Its an addictive substanance. Some people even describe it as off-puttingly as possible by saying that its his "musk". Valentino, while possessing not a terrifying amount of strength compred to some other powerful sinners out there, he possesses an ability that can dominate each one of them without trouble.

One such case being Angel Dust.

See, Angel, being the son of a ruthless mafia boss, when arrived in Hell, he wanted to become famous and wealthy immidietly! Get rich quick without much work! Well, with work he loves to do~

This is where Valentino steps into his life, offering him such opportunities while... making sure Angel inhales his mist as much as possible. Keep him addicted, don't let him get away~

Valentino is especially abusive towards Angel both sexually and physically. However, this stems not from his actual love for Angel Dust, but his hate.

Valentino, ever since he arrived in Hell, has gained a sick fascination towards punishing the sinners that think they are hot shit.

"He has a… self-rightous attitude lets say. If he thinks you had it too good and don't appriciate the stuff you have… he'll get ideas~" -Velvette

Valentino is the essence of Hell. He punishes the winners of hazbin, not the losers. Seeing Angel Dust, being this mafiaso that loved and CRAVED sex in every opportunity and got what he wanted without ever thinking about the implications, gives Valentino this certain feeling of moral superiority. He feels like a punisher, a true demon of Hell that is there to become Angels worst nightmare for all the horrible things he has done in his life.

It gets better due to the fact that Valentino knows he is weaker than Angel, yet due to his addictions, he wins over him. Its not some pact that binds Angel, its his own Lust... and Sloth. His desire for easy success and wealth led him to this disgusting mess.

When Charlie rolls around with the idea of redemption, of course he hates it. To him, punishment is well deserved and bad boys like Angel need to be made an example of.

This also presents the reader with an interesting question. Does Angel deserve what Val does to him considering that he was CERTAINLY not a good person in his own hazbin? Or does he deserve redemption? This is literally Charlies ideology, being asked to the viewer. Should the sinner be punished or redeemed? Angel was a despicable human being that murdered, tortured, raped and was bound to many external substances. Does he deserve punishment in the hands of Valentino? Or does he deserve redemption in the hands of Charlie?

Valentino is also not just doing this to Angel. This goes for ANYONE he thinks they had it too good for too long...

Kia ora fellow language nerds, since apparently youse are interested in translation notes, here's another one!

"Kāore rawa" means "never", and the "i" indicates past tense. Like in the original, there's no subject - if Ed was saying "I never left" it would be "Kāore rawa au i wehe".

But... wehe doesn't just mean "to leave", it also means to separate, to be apart, or to break up. So the sentence doesn't just imply "Kāore rawa (au) i wehe - (I) never left", it also implies "Kāore rawa (tāua) i wehe - (we) never broke up".

The thing I love (and occasionally hate) about translation is that even really simple sentences often involve thinking about the implications of words, and how the right choice can bring in a whole lot of depth.

(Part of me feels tino whakamā (really embarrassed/shy) about these notes, since I'm not actually fully fluent, and there's every chance that a native speaker would think "kāore rawa i wehe" is clunky or has some other implication that I've totally missed.
