not gonna lie you guys

after seeing REO Speedwagon the other day I really think I wanna get back to Dust to Dust soon here

anyways I got to see Kevin Cronin at 72 years of age belt out two of the songs that inspired the chapter titles:

Before the show they were also playing Sinatra - not any of the chapter titles I've written so far, they played "Fly Me to the Moon" - so I was like. Is this a sign. Because it felt like a sign. 😂

Anyways. We (I went with my parents) had fun. They've still got it after over 50 years!

#okay in all seriousness though i fucking loved it #hands down favorite episode was earth rake #but also contending is stockiverse and.. Bouillabaisse..#i really love how family focused this season is. dont get me started on tervo. i love how much nicer everyone is to each other #except for them really juicing up korvo’s bitchiness in super gooblers (which i guess was meant to push jesse into her confrontation)#speaking of korvo his voice was a delight this season. just so expressive and is now up there with the rest of the casts distinct voices #i guess trying to ease back into finales that end with a season reset #and why didnt pupa change color??#overall it was pretty fucking great. had black spots in my vision during the invisible kitchen scene #tervo this season was fucking crazy my god what are they gonna do for the valentine special #UGHHH. they really keep raising the bar every season. SOOOO GOOD #this isn’t a very In Depth discussion of my thoughts sorry i need to spend more time in this seasons nooks and crannies #ooh ohh and the replicants this season were so cute too. THEY GREW TOGETHERRR #i liked the shlorp lore and little peeks into their past too #anyways i got sidetracked yeah amazing season #I FORGOT TO MENTION THE ANIMATION #THE ANIMATION THIS SEASON WAS BONKERS DUDE. LOVED HOW FLUID IT WAS AND ALL THE FUN NEW EXPRESSIONS THE SOLARS HAD #THAT SCENE OF THEM SAYING DEENOSAUR WAS LIKE MY FAVORITE EXAMPLE #gonna keep adding as i remember things im glad they wanted to explore jesses character more #but i dont like how they jeopardized korvos character for them to get there #kinda made him backtrack his progress for the sake of that episode :/ just a really big shift i wasnt a fan of #and they didnt make him feel remorse that whole episode either he didnt even say sorry :/#also terry was just chill with chris that whole episode? have we just moved past the hall of betrayals thing?#i guess jesse’s roast about him being sky blue really just set him off for the rest of the season #he needs to talk to someone professional #i feel like solars is a really weird blend of being umm. Emotionally episodic

#kirby #kirby nightmare in dream land #kirby's dream land 2 #kirby super star ultra #kirby's dream land 3 #kirby 64 the crystal shards #kirby and the amazing mirror #kirby squeak squad #kirby triple deluxe #kirby planet robobot #kirby air ride #the games seem to have a trend of being remade ~12 years after they were first released so TECHNICALLY the 3ds games are too recent for tha #but whatever! i had the space for more options so i put them there #and i really only wanted to include the mainline games but i think i remember hearing a lot about people wanting an air ride remake #so it gets to be special and be here! dgdhshsf. never actually played it myself though #i also didn't plan on including the games that already had remakes but again i had space in the poll so! why not?#i voted amazing mirror personally!#the game was made to be multiplayer but that's just. not easy to do #i don't think it was easy when it first released (though admittedly i have no personal experience with that) and it certainly isn't today #but a modern remake would fix that!#yeah yeah i know nintendo's online isn't all that great but it'd still be something! it'd be fun to play it online with my friends!#and if nothing else a split screen local multiplayer would still be great too!#and amazing mirror's plot would lend itself well to an added meta knightmare mode #meta knight defeats dark meta instead of getting sealed away and gets to save the mirror world himself like he had planned to #i do know that amazing mirror should be coming to the gba switch online thing eventually though #so even if it never gets a proper remake i hope that the port will at least add some sort of multiplayer?#that might actually get me to buy the online subscription that includes the gba games dgdhshsf #kirby 64 would be my second choice just because it could use a graphical upgrade the most. 3d models don't age nearly as well as sprites do #only problem is that 64 is part of a trilogy. so it'd be kinda weird if it gets redone but dream land 2 and 3 don't #not a comic or an ask

I like the idea that Oscar is just really light on his feet so they just assign the role of stealth on him. Lime has been jumpscared too many times when being in the middle of a conversation with Mochi and all of the sudden Oscar is just there and makes a quick joke off of what someone just says spooking them. “Dude I’ve been here for like 8 minutes.” He’s just suddenly there, running gag sort of deal.

Doesn’t Oscar also accidentally find out Mochi is a witch? She’s talking witch things with Lime in the greenhouse witch hut and they hear a sneeze and both say bless you and he’s just there taking notes.

THIS IS A COOL IDEA BUT I THINK POST-TIMESKIP OSCAR WOULD BE TOO OP WITH THIS TRAIT!!!!! since he eventually gets the ty-lee type of abilities where he can fuck you up with the right jab, sneaky oscar would be too powerful...90% of fights would be over before they even begin, all you need to do is distract the villian for 2 seconds for oscar to get behind him

#also! worth noting that oscar doesnt ACCIDENTALLY find out mochi is a witch like lime did. he actually deduced it on his own #after months of observations #and forced her hand in a sense to admit it #(by getting himself in trouble)#(oh no! if only there were something super powerful and amazing that could save me!)#worth noting it was actual real danger but he had enough confidence in his conclusions and assesment of mochis character #that she wouldnt let him die #she definately gave him a fucking scolding afterward though #and when she tries to erase his memory he lowkey blackmails her with his own life #(ah! but if you erase my memory ill just get into trouble again! im just too curious of a soul! and you wont be there to save me next time!#mochi stressed out #he would #and THEN hes like (cmon please ill be good. i want in on the cool magic stuff)

#they just.#I love them.#literally though the movies are NOTHING like the books #the plot of the books is slavery is bad and a corrupt leader will only bring pain and that you must treat everyone as equals and so much mo #re and the films are just #‘oh animal abuse is bad! animals are almost as good as us!’#the books are about the dragons (who are as if not more intelligent than the humans) who were enslaved for centuries overthrowing the tyran #t humans whilst hiccup tries to make peace between both sides and give dragons the respect they deserve #they’re amazing like the movies absolutely did *not* do them justice #the dragons have their own language #some of them are telepathic #some can shoot poison darts #there’s little cards explaining how each dragon works as it shows up in the books #it’s amazing #it’s a kids’ series as well so it’s not like a super complex read #okay propaganda over pls read them #httyd #how to train your dragon

#succ speaks #fuck the bts team for not showing them divorce court btw.#i never thought i would see such a disappointing mianite-related stream. and i watched all of isles! [old man laugh track]#somehow this was the greatest video game event i have ever taken part in thanks to the awesome community (including the one ending in mc)#but this stream sucked absolute donkey dick. glad we can get back on the server and this wasn't the end of it.#not the streamers' fault though i think. the event was just nothing like promised. i'll be honest i was an isles apologist until now.#something something they worked so hard to make it happen and keep it running why the unnecessary hate....i can't lie to myself anymore man.#a lot of us thought the stream was going to be more lighthearted and not hardass objective build judge w/ half the plots taken out for time #like sure the prize was a good amount of money but tom and jordan were clearly trying to have fun but felt like they couldn't that much. idk #the absolutely brilliant times we had building and having fun and talking and helping each other on the server felt like they were erased...#...from this stream. EVEN THE END was super watered down and dec definitely did his best to give them the background of it all.#idk. madspy and dec were super cool i feel like some other factors and/or people behind this caused it to flop with the community.#the mods can only do so much 'your build was amazing and unique you should be proud of it' or whatever without showcasing the things...#...we were all talking and laughing and excited about while on the server. it feels like this wasn't an event that was meant to leave...#a certain circle. this is just my view but personally i would have enjoyed this way more if there WASN'T a streamed judging.#or that the judging was a couple of days long so they didn't have to rush through it and everyone could be seen.#i think the mods should take our gripes into consideration rather than trying to cheer us up or act like it's our problem.#but hey. [old man laugh track] thaaaaat's our good ol' mianite!#the event itself though was incredible and i'm really happy it happened. like the actual building part. i got a lot out of it and got to...#...meet so many people. we all had a lot of fun and put in a lot of time and work but it didn't feel like a burden to partake in it yk!#having dec and madspy and wh (i forget his name all the time) on a lot was really fun too! they were really kind and fun to be around...#...and we got to learn some cool little bits of bts info. finding out that dec was 16 when mianite started was INSANE especially.#and like i'm not just salty cuz my build wasn't featured. being able to make it in the first place was enough for me bc it was my first...#...serious build! and the other people on the server really enjoyed it and to me having the community appreciate it is so much more...#...heartwarming to me and makes me happier than if this would have been a 'private' thing and the streamers looked through every bit...#...and praised it. i loved being able to take part in this event but honestly i wish i wouldn't have watched the stream. it made me upset...#...to see so many INSANE builds and aspects of builds i got to watch people work on and help them with get mere crumbs of recognition.#i know tom in particular appreciates mianite fan content so splitting this up into multiple streams so they didn't get bored or tired or...#...have to rush would have been a pretty obvious solution. but again you can always count on the mianite bts team to make things...#...unnecessarily complicated or simple while ignoring the very clear best paths! Thinking about badminton classes…..

#it was sm fun why did I ever stop my parents should have made me continue lol #I remember being on the best court like right away which was so cool because it was me age 11 and everyone atleast couple years older #and my best friend there was nazia wonder how she’s doing rn she was amazing and kinda intimidating #like she was a couple years older and had such curly short hair and was super lanky but her shots had sm power it was nuts #and she said the reason my shots weren’t as powerful as hers was because I’m vegetarian. she was probably right #and the only one who could beat us was this 15 year old I hated when I’d get partnered with him in doubles #because he’d take the right side each time and I’d have to play backhand ALL THE TIME #because I was short so I’d get front and left and he’d get back and right #but with nazia….weld exchange all the time #and when doing the runs around the court we’d chat sm #omg that one time it rained sm so we just stopped practice because all the 7 year olds were scared lmaooo the ac switched off though 😔#me.txt

Pros of being out of the hospital and on new meds: hallucinations are great fully controlled

Cons: I am back home with eight other people and we host thanksgiving tmr 🫠

#mental facilities are a hit or miss #mine was awesome #but not super helpful #though the staff were all amazing and kind #most of the day we watched whatever was on DVD waiting for the next thing #on DVD and I was half asleep mostly bc of the antipsychotics

I saw someone say a while ago that Jason attacking Tim at Titans Tower was just Tim hallucinating bc he was feeling guilty about being Robin even though Jason's not dead. Which is great, amazing, I think the whole Titans Tower thing is Bonkers, but I think it would be so much funnier if Jason tried to Gaslight Tim into believing the Titans Tower incident never happened, not because he's like evil, he's just super embarassed about it. like Or Tim did actually hallucinate Jason at TT but thinks it was real, so when he tells Jason about it, Jason's so fucking confused, and Tim thinks Jason's Gaslighting him

Tim: Remember that time when you broke into Titans Tower and beat me half to death while wearing a Robin costume from party city

Jason: What? Tim, I know i'm crazy, but I'm not...Insane.

Tim, pulling down his collar: I literally have the scar to prove it

Jason: Bruce told me that was from Clayface pretending to be me, which, might I just say rude. Tim... are you ok? Did you hallucinate me attacking you? like, I know I've done that before, but...

Tim, frowning: I don't think I hallucinating. I was benched for a while after because I had to recover-

Jason: well, you were benched around the time I was dropping hints that I knew who Bruce was outside of Batman, he probably just benched you to keep you safe. You probably were working too many cases with too little sleep and your imagination started to run wild.
