I put this song toward the end of my Fitzjames playlist and accidentally made myself VERY sad.

This song is immediately followed by a version of Running Up That Hill that's basically... queer cabaret but make it a tearjerker (and also blows the original out of the water... seriously... it is the most raw performance I've ever heard).

you know what's really cute? hinoka/subaki support

whoever wrote it did not pull their punches. whoo, boy. i was not expecting her to tell him that she thinks of him every time she hears the rustle of the leaves and the chirping of the nearby birds in their c-supporr

like that's super romantic to me for some reason.

and the way he agrees with her when she tells him that she remembers those days fondly right after that?? my heart can't keep up with these two

don't get me started on the fact that he apparently talked her down from charging into forest to save sakura when she was extremely tired after chasing her and instead went by foot? like that's devotion.

whether to sakura or hinoka, it doesn't really matter. it's just so sweet that he cares deeply for these two.

like do you think stormy days are their equivalent of "are they seeing the same moon as me?" you know like when two characters are apart and they say that line, but instead it's "i wonder if they're seeing the storm too?"

and their a-support is kind of lacks overt romance in a way, but it also just reads as two mature people complimenting each other and being happy that compliment the other person. gives married couple vibes

and how he proposes to her by first asking her to give relationship advice. like it's so classic. he's like "you don't have to be lonely" after she tells him not to ask about her lonely love life. these two could be the romantic leads of a romance drama

i WANT them to be the romantic leads of a romance drama. like i can see there being a timeskip because they both don't realize they love each other after all that they've been through together but then the war starts and they're spending more time again and oh what's this?

it seems like they greatly enjoy each other's company, get freaked when the other is hurt, take great pride in hearing compliments about the other person, and generally seem like a good match.

bam, then there's the a-support and subaki finally realized he loves her; meanwhile hinoka's known all along she loves him and so has her entire family but they don't want to meddle, especially sakura
