A lot of things about Les Mis make sO much more sense when you realize it’s not really paced like a “traditional novel” but more like an anthology series where each book volume follows a new main character.

Bishop Myriel is the “main character” of Book 1 , Fantine is the “main character” of the following book, and so on and so on.

There are recurring characters who show up across multiple books/volumes! But there are also characters who do most of their plot important actions in their “POV volume,” and then only affect the rest of the story through the impact they made on the “side characters” in their stories who then reappear as major characters in the next volumes.

But yeah part of why Les Mis is so hard to adapt is because it’s really not the Hollywood screenplay structure of “a single Important main character does things while side characters help them.” Because it’s more like, half the cast gets their chance to be the main POV character at some point?

And again, this is why Myriel gets an entire book devoted to him. All the backstory on Myriel wouldn’t make sense in a traditional Hollywood screenplay format(tm) where Jean Valjean is the Main Character(tm) and all the side characters’ lives revolve around him. But makes perfect sense in this anthology series format where Valjean is just a major recurring character who shows up in different ways to affect the stories of all these different people living very different lives.

Woke up at 3am with a migraine that made me puke. Made it through the day, luckily I can clean teeth on auto pilot, I just wasn’t my normal bubbly self. (My work self is way different than my real self and self I am here) It’s 6:30pm and I think I may just go to bed and call it a day.

ok but blatantly and inarguably a lot of "accepting" parents would rather their children be ~nonbinary~ and/or ~nontransitioning~ than binary transgender, and this doesnt devalue exorsexism (not only because it is another form of exorsexism) but because it is a fact

#when i was first talking to my mother about being transgender she struggled with it a lot #and she Asked why i couldnt just “be nonbinary” because that would be easier for *her* to 'deal with'#and my parents are currently accepting but that is still a thing transgender youth have to deal with #the fact that some binary trans people feel the need to misgender themselves in order to make cis people feel more comfortable #because *cis* people view nonbinary trans identities as 'less extreme' or 'less trans'#and that is both transphobia and exorsexism on the part of the cis person!!!#why must we blame other trans people for the situations cis people put us into #and to bring up some other bullshit i was whining about yesterday #being told that *really* got to me. because i didnt choose any of this!#if i could just not be trans and not have to deal with all of the pain i would have!#it has made my life endlessly difficult! if i did have a choice i dont see why i would have chosen to be trans #my family was desperate for a baby girl. all of my aunts and uncles wanted a girl child but they couldnt get one. until my parents #and im just throwing that all away #why would i do that on purpose. disappoint my entire family like that #anyways #got sidetracked #thats not the point #im gonna go eat breakfast ahahah

ive said this b4 but a few years ago when i was designing her i was having a bit of trouble w/her face. it was off and i couldnt figure out why. and then while doodling i thought, "hm she's got some frisk undertale elements what if i gave her their eyes" and immediately i loved it. she also has the old skintone i used ta draw frisk with :]

tbh they ended up looking so similar i changed the way i drew frisk considerably so they weren't EXACTLY the same hgfhgfjgh
