Chapter 6 is up! 😄

i do love assassin’s creed 3 but GOSH i wish it didn’t rob us of some story points...

like i know we see connor reading haytham’s journal at the beginning, but i wish we’d gotten MORE of a reaction out of him when he realized the head Templar was his father. 

Likewise I know Haytham was able to put things together and figure out Connor was his son before they properly speak for the first time, but like...I wish we’d seen that realization.  I wish we’d seen how Haytham initially reacted to that.  How Haytham’s goonies reacted.

They give us this juicy juicy central conflict of Connor fighting against his own father and then they don’t...give us these moments.  And it’s frustrating because i LOVE Connor.  He’s one of my favorite assassins.  But he’s got this Shakespearean level conflict going on and the game doesn’t dig into it the way it should.

I want to know how Phee met the Hazard family. Did she meet them on Pabu, after making her way there as a refugee? Were they all refugees who happened to be looking for somewhere safe at the same time, and they met that way? Did Phee meet Shep a long time ago, before he even had a kid? Did Lyana grow up on Pabu? Did Shep grow up on Pabu, for that matter? Because it seems like they are people who come to Pabu late fleeing one violence or another, and others who have been there their whole lives, and I feel like Shep could fit into either category. Just. Generally, how did Phee end up being an honorary part of that little family?

FINALLY WRITING TIM AND BERNARD TRAVELING THE WORLD

Thinking about 5-6 1.5-2k word chapters each alternating showing one pov in little episodic chunks

Bernard is learning to cook something or going to relax and appreciate what dishes a place has to offer while Tim A) Fights for his life or B) Tries to relax with Bernard but still ends up fighting for his life.

Also I think there should be cameos from other characters. Ever other story or so. For fun. I have the image of Bernard and Bart getting along like a house on fire and looking for Moth Man after eating at a breakfast in bed in West Virgina while Tim finds actual an actual cult dedicated Moth man. As a nice opening to set the tone of the series. A last hoorah in america.

I have no plan. I just want Bernard and Tim to end up in Jamaica, Kenya, Vietnam, Poland, and Chile. And West Virgina for moth man purposes. Because I think they’re interesting places and I like reading about countries I have never been to. Feel free to also suggest other countries and tell me about I love reading different places.

EHEHEHE THANK YOU i wrote a little introduction post about her here so that would be a good place to start at >:^)

so tl;dr james is aubrey's twin sister and she's a private investigator and security guard at the club bodytalk in downtown night city! she mostly works there as a bouncer because she's good at throwing punches and throwing people out, but she's also in charge of overseeing any ongoing gigs from aubrey's fixer business and sending in reinforcements if necessary (or she just goes out there to deal with the problem herself)

she used to be on the wilder side when she was younger, drinking and doing drugs much like aubrey but instead of it leading her down the path of partying and one night stands she got in trouble with the ncpd a LOT and she mostly just got into so many fights. she's not like that anymore nowadays, after getting married she settled down and after her divorce she mostly just wanted to vibe. she's not made for a 9 to 5 job and that's why her current occupations are perfect for her because she can work in the evening hours at the club and do the investigator stuff on the side :)

she ends up getting together with luna at some point a bit later in the story! they first properly meet when luna starts working at bodytalk a bit more and grow closer quickly when james gets injured after a gig and she ends up going to luna's shop because it's the closest ripperdoc she could find. need to spin them around more but things are happening in here alright

some more facts because i love her

james uses she/he pronouns, in the sense of mainly she/her but if you wanna use he/him for her she doesn't give a fuck and also actively encourages it when people ask her :) this is mirroring aubrey's he/she pronouns, he has the same kind of relationship with his pronouns. the two of them often jokingly say they swap pronouns every other week LMAO

she's a few minutes younger than aubrey but also a single cm taller and she has decided to make it her entire personality. as is her right

james has pretty bad anger issues which are entirely a result of her past, with her father being a piece of shit and her mother not taking care of her children at all. she's very protective of becca, her older sister, who took care of her younger siblings throughout their whole childhood

james nowadays lives together with rikki, her younger half-sister :D rikki basically moved in after aubrey left for elysium (spaceship) and when he returns, he goes to live together with leon which means rikki can stay with her older sister. the valentine siblings all love each other very much basically and don't mind sharing a living space at all, it's what got them through their childhoods and especially after aubrey has been trapped in space for nearly a year they all agree it's important to stick together as much as possible

This is so cuuuuuteee!!! For context this is the Easter (*gag*) Ice Age short but I saw what looked like Mango and/or Manny and Diego interactions having some part/depth to it and for another context, Manny and Diego are hanging out watching the Hawks-Bears (and then later they speak of a Falcons-Hornets game in this - are "death matches" between species "televised" in the Ice Age universe?? 💀) game in his ... Manny cave.

I do hate how overly humanised this is but on the other paw it is SO CUTE and it does confirm that Manny and Diego do hang, canonically, doing bro-stuff, with each other whenever they can. :) Also I love how they're so excited because of the game and hugging each other in excitement!!! :)
