“Jason was so boring” “Jason had no personality” what are you talking about
Jason Grace was a child soldier and the son of the KING OF THE GODS. The pressure on him was so huge and the training of the Roman legions was so intense all he ever really did was train. As soon as he was old enough he was put in positions of leadership and power cause he’s the son of Jupiter, leader of the gods, he must be a natural born leader, right?
But his entire character arc revolves around him realising that he can be more than what the Romans made him into, that he can have his own opinions, his own hobbies, love who he wants, live where he wants.
He was the first person to start defending Nico, the first to accept Nico and tell him sincerely that there was nothing wrong with him and that everyone at BOTH camps would accept him and have his back - and if they didn’t they’d have Jason to answer to.
He was sure to always give Reyna the credit she deserved and constantly felt guilty for when he made her shoulder the responsibilities. Throughout HoH he’s got half of his mind on her, praying she’s okay, tracking her progress in his dreams because gods FORBID anything happen to that brilliant woman whom he loved platonically but wholeheartedly.
When they found Leo again after he was at Ogygia, Jason recognised in an instant just from the way Leo was sitting that something was off. When everyone pestered him with questions, Jason took charge to get the limelight off of Leo as much as possible, and checked in with him the minute they were alone.
Jason Grace is fiercely loving, always looks out for those who need support, always sides with the underdogs, always does what’s right even when it’s hard, often does what’s expected even when he doesn’t want to, but if he can take the burden off of someone else he will ALWAYS step up.
He has the honour and bravery of a soldier and carries all of the trauma and doubt that comes with it.
And on top of all of this he was just seventeen years old.
Jason Grace isn’t boring, it just took some time for us to understand why he acts the way he does - always composed and in charge. He is not perfect, but he was always trained/expected to be, and watching the perfect mask crack and seeing his true inner thoughts throughout HoO is what makes his character so interesting.

There needs to be a scientific study done on how Rockstar Games' Arthur Morgan is able to provoke the most earth shattering emotions I didn't even know I had in me

The fact that Taylor has released the same amount of albums under Universal/Republic in less than half the time when she was with Big Machine, really makes me wonder about all of the potential things she could’ve done if instead of having to fight tooth and nail for everything, they had granted her more creative freedom and trusted her.
#adding these clarifying tags since this post has gained some traction#the point of this post isn’t ‘omg she could’ve released so many more albums!!’ it’s about the creative choices she could’ve made on existing#projects either in terms of sound or collaboration or what#it’s about the difference in trust the two labels had/have in her#bmg did have a lot of trust and belief in her but as she grew wildly popular there was an effort to rein her in#she’s at a point with umg where she knows they have trust in her that she’s comfortable with releasing music on her own terms#her gut instincts are usually spot on and toward the end of the relationship bmg started to push back#her relationship with them wasn’t horrible from start to end there were a lot of good moments it just started to crumble at the end#taylor swift#midnights#like the difference is absolutely crazy#she’s been with umg/republic for only four/five years and was with BMG for 11 and has released the same number of albums#okay forgive me it’s like 7 am but it’s more like 13-15 years#obviously she didn’t really have to start fighting for stuff until red/1989 but it really makes me wonder#and how she talked in the long pond sessions about being nervous and scared to turn folklore in and their confidence is like 180 from BMG#like they have completely trusted in her and let her do whatever she wants to amazing results#🗒#this got notes*

#i am kind of confused#while they were training it looked like they had a special connection between eachother but after it they are just awkward around eachother#its like Phaya is keeping special attention to Tharn but only in training outside of training its Tharn who pays attention to Phaya#i dont know what to make of this i might me wrong as well#sargent didnt remove Phaya's hand from Tharn's shoulders because that was Phaya keeping Tharn warm and that was teamwork he talked about#but also a cute bl moment for us#Phaya motivating Tharn by hitting him with his cap#they always have eyes on eachother#that Jack and Rose scene was so impactful to me#the chemistry was incredible#the tension could have been cut with the knife#the eye contact shared here was so meaningful#the camerawork was amazing as well and those waves... just perfect the mood was set perfectly great cinema#i also love Tharn's relived and despeate expression he had on#he might be a rookie but he is on great path already#the sign#the sign the series#phaya x tharn#tharn x phaya#billy patchanon#billybabe#babe tanatat
