i can't believe it, i was looking forward to this movie for years. i was happy enough that my favorite looney tune was getting his own movie but the fact that it was COMPLETED and the people who have seen it say it was excellent just makes it that much more disappointing. shame on warner bros

Hey ya’ll
I know live action/animation hybrids are… polarizing. But this is important
The Coyote Vs. Acme movie. Based on a 1990 NYT article by Ian Frazier, is in risk of being 100% shelved. Written off for tax reasons on the 23rd.
David Zaslav and WB Discovery are both asshats and a talented crew worked on this film so speak up, petition, do anything, spread the word of this movie so it won’t get cancelled. This is a part of film history and to stick it to the man, do your part! Wouldn’t be surprised if someone ends up leaking the film or some shit like that. It’s the internet now but still, still. Speak up against this corporate ballyhoo politic crap. Support the film and animation crew. Do anything in your power to get this tax write off decision revoked. We can’t let the hard work of everyone involved be all for naught. We can’t let the rich bitch win!!!

WB hates movies. WB hates art. I hope that the "Coyote vs Acme" movie leaks online, so that people can pirate it. But is it truly piracy if the movie was never officially released? Hm... I'm not sure.
UPDATE: Seems like WB may actually release the film afterall. The movie has a second chance to be released and even if it ends up being bad, this is still a massive win for the animation industry! Just don't give WB any praise for reversing their decision.

For certain reasons, I don't understand why Warner Bros. had to cancel such a great idea related to the movie "Coyote VS Acme", and realistically you can see that it would have been a great movie.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
By canceling this, Warner Bros only cut themselves in the mouth! Justice for Wile E. Coyote and his movie! David Zaslav should understand that Looney Tunes animation is not only for children, but also for adults. We want a Coyote VS Acme movie!
Although the only thing we can expect is the next Looney Tunes movie from Warner Bros.
Tumblr media
"The Day The Earth Blew Up"
is the only movie with quality 2D animation that we have related to Looney Tunes and I hope that if this movie succeeds, then other Looney Tunes characters should get their own movies as well. If you love Looney Tunes and want to support Coyote VS Acme and make that movie happen as well as Daffy and the Porky Movie, then like and reblog this, because every support counts!
Sorry, I used to speak in the plural, although we are all unhappy with the decisions regarding Warner Bros. And this is just my opinion.
P.S. I wish there was Marvin the Martian in the Daffy and the Porky Movie, and I don't have to say why.

While we wait for Coyote vs. Acme to get a new distributor, I've decided to make this hypothetical poster to give us an idea of what we think the film's actual poster would look like.

So, let me get this straight...
A huge multimedia company just canceled a project based on one of their biggest IPs that was completely finished, had A-list talent, and cost 60-80 million dollars to produce all to get a tax write-off of...30 million dollars. Now, if that isn't a good way to spend your company's money, I don't know what is.

Warner Bros. better not cancel Coyote vs Acme. The idea of Looney Tunes characters taking people to court is so funny to me. The idea reminds me of the court scene in the Bee Movie. The fact that this movie is FINISHED but may end up as a tax write-off is infuriating to me on so many levels. THE MOVIE IS FUCKING FINISHED AND WARNER BROS JUST STRAIGHT UP MAY NOT RELEASE IT!!! SAVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!

It takes a surprising turn; at least when watching this recent news for that "Coyote Vs Acme" movie. I'm indeed shock as you are; especially after Warner Bros made notorious moves of canceling and tax write off on other projects. 😠👎
This one was sadly one of them, but apparently gotten a second chance where they'd reverse their decision. Looks like Warner Bros did something right for one....for now, though.

CANCELLED MOVIES MEME [54/∞]- COYOTE VS. ACME
year: 2023 (*sob*)
plot: CGI/live-action combination movie where Wile E. Coyote hires a lawyer (Will Forte) to sue the CEO of the ACME Corporation (John Cena) after all of their products have failed to help him catch the Roadrunner. The story is inspired by a 1990 New Yorker article of the same name.
reason for cancellation: despite performing well at test screenings, Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav shelved the project for tax write-down purposes, the third movie after Batgirl and Scoob!: Haunted Holiday to share this fate after the WB and Discovery mergers.
